1861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 22, 2021, 01:22:29 PM

Well its not good to put a verdict towards this fight since we see great fighters lose on unexpected match up so even if Gaballo is underdog here he's still young and a knockout artist so provably he can give a good fight and problem in the camp of Donaire. But let see on this on who will win among them since its good to see if the young soul win or the proven champion will take win easily.

True it's not good to put a verdict because we don't know who will win, but if you are betting on this game, at least make sure you analyze carefully on who got the advantage so you can put your bet, that's the nature of gambling, we always claim our bet will win so we will be confident to win when watching the fight.

We can have a poll here but it's not necessary anymore as we know who will obviously win.

Comparing Gaballo against Oubaali, I believe the latter is better, so if that's the basis, then most probably Donaire will again have an impressive win.
The problem here is we sometimes are biased because this is a battle between two Philippine's pride, so it's hard to choose between them but for gambling purposes, it should be easy.

This is over now, over 1 minute and TNT is still leading by 11 points, there's no chance Magnolia would be able to make a miracle here.

So after this game, it will be 2-0, still believe in Magnolia and we will go all-in in game 3.

Congrats to TNT, 2 games with an easy win.

I concede this series belongs to the Katropa, kudus to coach Chot Reyes for the job well done though this is not over yet judging on the body language of the Hotshot's players, seem they are not into it.

Betting for Magnolia in game 3 might not be a good idea as I think TNT might go for the sweep and go home to their families as early as possible.

If the spread on game 3 is still -4.5, I would go for the Katropa.

That means there are no changes after all, but if the spread of TNT is -2.5, I think that implies something, it could be a trap so everyone thinks the line is easy and they will take it. Let's wait for the odds to be available, we could see another magic in game 3 as that's the only way Magnolia will win.
1863  Economy / Speculation / Re: New all time high record | $66,000 on: October 22, 2021, 08:27:12 AM
Many people are jubilating that bitcoin has recovered expensively, actually three to two months ago bitcoin price is not up to the current values now, but the problem is that we all know that the possibility for it to reverse is there, okay, do we remember that it's price has reach sixty thousand (60k) before and now it has hit sixty six thousand (66k) and within a short time it dropped to sixty three thousand (63) which is the stage it's now, the values of bitcoin is not called for a celebration now, from my initiative.

That's a normal market reaction. When an investor sees an opportunity to sell (especially during the arrival of the new ATH) they would always sell. The short pullback was caused by the short sellers, thinking Bitcoin's current bullrun has peaked. That's always gonna be the assumption everytime Bitcoin hits new ATH.
Now, there's nothing new about people celebrating the Bitcoin bullrun, I mean who doesn't want to see an expensive Bitcoin price after how many years of holding. Corrections are always there, Bitcoin will still experience a lot of ups and downs before it hits the 6 digit figure like everybody is anticipating.
I must say that the current price will create good celebration on the people who have been holding bitcoin for quite a long time, but for those who have just bought bitcoin when it was just $50k-$60k, they are still looking forward for another price increase until it reaches its new ATH. And as expected, when others tend to sell, the market will surely react on it and might pull the price down. But this is absolutely normal for a volatile market. Hopefully, by the end of the year, we will all be rejoicing seeing more digits for bitcoin price.
1864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: advantages in the cryptocurrency industry on: October 21, 2021, 11:54:38 PM
Every choice always requires risk, and the choice will depend on who we are and our goal.
If we are investing in crypto, I will prefer only investment in the top coins that have a good use cases or fundamentals. So the prospect for the future will be still worthy because one of the risks of long-term investment is the dead coin. That is why we must be smart and wise when choosing coins.

Well, actually while investing we can also do staking or savings that can make us earn some money from this option.
About trading, it is also risky, but we can less risk by spot trading.

I think if we aim to make profits in a certain activity, it will always have its own risks, either we take it or leave it.

There are really advantages staying in this crypto industry like what OP stated as there is investing, trading and gambling. All can give us profits but they are capable too of losing our own capital. So its always an advantage if we can invest in those solid and well established coins like bitcoin, ethereum and BNB. And when we think its a good time make profits, then we can start selling at the most reliable and legit exchanges. While in gambling, there is a high risk, and only those who are good in guessing and more on luck will be more profitable in gambling, otherwise your losses will be much bigger than your profits.
1865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the bulls back? on: October 21, 2021, 09:46:01 PM
the market is currently showing a green position.  in october the position of the increase is significant and good.  I see if now the correction for this month has ended and we will look forward to the correction in the next month and for sure it will happen.  we can take advantage of the best moment
The correction next month is also uncertain, because Bitcoin is still moving upwards to this day which has also been followed by several Altcoins in a very small percentage, and if you want to buy, then look at Altcoins that have not risen in numbers so that you can be very affordable in making purchases with limited money.
It's normal for altcoins to rise as bitcoin has already achieved a new ATH, however, if bitcoin fails to break the resistance, then most likely it will go down below $60k and we will see it struggle to rise or the correction will eventually happen. It's a gamble, but based on the trend, it's always good to buy once a new ATH has just been achieved.
When a new ATH is achieved, there's always that hype and even if the price will correct a bit, it's just a minor correction and not big enough to cause a panic. Besides the previous ATH was just around $64k and the current is $66k, so no FOMO yet as there's only a small difference between the current and the old ATH.
1866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 21, 2021, 09:25:20 PM
Daryl Morey said today that Sixers fans should strap in because they’re ready to take this Ben Simmons situation four years if they have to. They’re literally threatening to ruin Ben’s career. This is the most power heavy move I’ve seen from NBA ownership/management in as long as I can remember. They’re trying to shift the balance of power and so far they seem to be holding their ground… 4 years of Ben sitting… We’ll see.
They're pushing into that Ben really hard and I don't what good does it contribute to the organization, it's just saying we're like this and who ever opposes us will got their lives suffer. I don't think a bad input will ripe a good output but they should set an example that more into the good side of all things rather than they're setting an example of what others shouldn't be doing, this is insanity on their management imo.
They are teaching Ben a lesson here, he is still very young, 25 years old now, so even if his contract will end, he could still play, but how would he do that if there's no reference from the teams that might be interested on him because he is not playing for many years.

Ben does not give respect, now he is suffering, however, I think it's just a bluff on the management side as, after all, it should always be the interest of the business that will be protected and they don't win in this battle.
1867  Economy / Economics / Re: What are common arguments for Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2021, 07:55:49 PM
What should new investors know about Bitcoin?
All the basic characteristics of bitcoin like how bitcoin is different from our traditional currencies and how bitcoin is an alternate to gold. When people start paying attention about bitcoin then definitely they will come forward to adopt it because this is how I got into bitcoin some years back. The only problem for new investors is they never know anything about bitcoin which is the reason they are not yet adopting it; once become knowing about bitcoin then they will start investing by realizing its real potential.
I admit even myself, i don't see any sense investing in bitcoin because its not being seen physically, and its always involved in scams concerning crypto. But when i realized the value of bitcoin because of its high potentials and how it become so profitable to any investor's life, then i start taking the risk. Not totally with adoption because its not yet adopted as a currency in my country.

However, until now, the heresay that most newbies believed that bitcoin is a rich quick scheme, is still not gone, not unless he realizes that bitcoin is not as easy as that. Bitcoin has more risks compared to any other investments, so its not surprising that its profits are definitely huge too compared to others.
1868  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before getting into trading on: October 21, 2021, 09:18:43 AM
Is it really necessary to take a course before getting into trading?
no need for private lessons or lessons or anything. most importantly you have a mentor or professional trader ready to help you, and also you need to practice independently studying in trading forums to increase knowledge about trading. because in trading the most important thing is basic understanding, and learning can continue slowly

Forums are really useful if you already know the basics since there are a lot of information about trading in that place which could help you building your strategy or tweaking your existing strategy. Also you could able be found a mentor that will help you. Private lessons is not necessary but if you do have spare money then i think it could be useful but only take those legit and established one
Well, spending some amount for you to make the learning easier is an individual's choice. Everyone is free to do that. But if i were you, learning should not be costly in the first place. We have all the free resources in the internet and its up to you how to dig it and make it more useful. And aside from that, we have the forums wherein you can raise some threads and gather on hand information from the members. So if anything makes you in doubt, you can make use of the forum to make things clearer for you.
1869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 21, 2021, 07:20:53 AM
i know how to spot fixed match, it make me money most of the time  Grin
This is more reliable than from those people who claim that they know a game is fixed and they have a tip to sell. Well, as for me, I also have a feeling I know a game is fixed or not, but unfortunately, I don't win all my bet, so it's still a gambling for me and I'm just guessing at all.
1870  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon musk now the richest man in earth on: October 20, 2021, 11:46:09 PM
It shouldn't be very surprising for any of us after seeing Elon Musk's achievements so far. He is not only the owner of Tesla. Especially the things that SpaceX has done so far are really huge. It has made a big contribution to Elon Musk also. His wealth has increased at an incredible rate. Him and Jeff Bezos are exchanging the throne sometimes and both of them have done great things so far.
It feels like a strong competition between the two, they become more hungry to earn such a position and be recognized by the people. And to ask if Elon MUSK could sustain, that might be possible but not forever. I believe there is someone who will take that position out from him.

But anyway, he deserves that. He works it hard, he can be of the sleepless night just to reach this position. And the race is about to continue until some will give up and give way to others coz I guess that was enough, otherwise, he never enjoy his life.
Knowing Elon Musk, he will do all things just to satisfy his own desires.  He is smart and hardworking so there's no way he can't sustain his spot as being the richest man. If Tesla and SpaceX continue on creating such demands, then it will be Elon who will be earning the huge credit. It will certainly add to his existing wealth. But i know for sure that he won't be filling the spot for a long time, there's always someone who will surely replace his spot in time.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 20, 2021, 08:18:20 AM
Yes, you are right, sometimes it is not worth betting on shakur, all the statistics do not favor him, although to tell the truth many times the numbers can fail, from a sporting point of view, I know that when one prepares very well for a fight , the result is usually quite good regardless of the probabilities, that means that a very strong training day and night very hard can surprise even the best boxer with the most experience, also I have seen that Shakur has a lot of speed for the blows What can fail him is strength, and I think that is the point that can make him lose.

For sure both fighter are preparing for this big fight, statistics sometimes may not properly justify the full potential of a fighter and some statistics are overrated might as well to look back for the video of a fighters past and recent fights and assess what does the fighter really capable of and not capable of inside the ring whoever the opponents that he may fight in his future fights. But past records of a fighter could be also a good basis for finding which one does good for betting too. However looking at the fighters I think Herring did say it right that their fight will be a hard fight for Stevenson/

Of course, he would say that because he is confident that he will win the fight, however, the bookies will only base the odds on what people think about this fight and I'm sure they'll ask all the fans about this fight, the majority will favor Stevenson, but it doesn't mean he is guaranteed to win, that's why as a better we are gambling on that possibility.

Honestly, this match is really exciting as although we have a clear favorite to win here but most of us here believe that Herring can pull an upset. I don't know if I can watch this fight live but I'll try to find a way to watch its streaming if it's available.

I hope someone would share some link, paid or free once this fight will happen.

Here's some information, I don't know how to avail of the subscription.

1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 20, 2021, 07:53:12 AM
Anyone here thinking Magnolia will take game 1?

The betting line is already available now.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/philippines/pba-philippine-cup/matches

Magnolia is +2.5 and ML is 2.18.

Nice odds for Magnolia right? I love to read your thoughts regarding this before playing some bet.  Smiley

Up to +3.5 now, I like TNT but I like the odds of Magnolia, I don't think they'll be dominated here as Magnolia is also a good team that is ready to compete with the TNT. So, I guess I will take ML and +3.5, and of course, I like to bet on some extra special odds offered by my bookie.

I don't know what's happening but it seems like the handicap is going up, actually, as of this writing, it's already +4.5 for Magnolia Hotspots. Maybe let's be more careful with this line movement as probably one of the players of Magnolia will not be able to play, it's just my speculation but it's better to just put the bet on live.

There's no news yet, we can follow https://web.facebook.com/OneSportsPHL for the news and their official website. The line movement is just probably because of the fact that TNT is the better team, they beat the SMB which are dominating in the All Filipino cup, so people expect them to win against the Magnolia Hotshots.
1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top on the list of your portfolio on: October 19, 2021, 11:58:29 PM
At the moment I have a huge portfolio of various altcoins, but most of all I have invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB, since I believe that these top cryptocurrencies can bring me the most profit in the future, and recently I have also invested in a new cryptocurrency project called Beyond Protocol and I am sure that this project will also bring me a huge profit in the near future, also recently I began to study several different new cryptocurrency projects in which I will probably invest and from these projects I can single out DeGethal and Ethernity.Cloud, and of course I think that I will also invest in Solana because Solana is very top crypto and Solana is growing so fast, I believe that Solana price is still very low.
Well, you have a quite number of good coins in your portfolio. I think that's really good to diversify your coins because you really don't know if some will lose value in the future, then you still have some left that will still generate profits. For me, i used to invest a lot in altcoins but when i started losing because some turn into shitcoins, then i realized much better i will prioritize bitcoin over the others. Although i still have other investments right now, but i make sure the biggest percentage goes for bitcoin as its the most solid coin that will less likely to disappoint me.
1874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Bitcoin price do you think altseason will start? on: October 19, 2021, 07:56:14 PM
Usually Bitcoin significantly pulls up the alts at some key level. What do you think will be the level this time?

...
Best, Peter
Hi Peter, I think you didn't closely monitor the crypto market since this year.
Maybe have you notice that when the Bitcoin price goes up all altcoins prices are pumped too.  I didn't know if there's an altcoin season but I think usually it depends on the Bitcoin price, all the market price movement depends on the Bitcoin price.

I think you already found the answer to your question.  Altcoins pump altogether with Bitcoin or it might be there will be an altcoin season and nobody knows when it will be.
That's also my point. There's no need to identify what price of bitcoin will altseason start because its very obvious that when bitcoin is bullish, all existing potential altcoins will definitely be in the same situation too. And once bitcoin price drops, expect that there will be a massive price drop in the whole crypto market. This is the most common scenario that happens in the market but maybe this time might be different. So let's just wait and see. The  market becomes too unpredictable when we least expect it.
1875  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: October 18, 2021, 10:57:06 PM
We probably have until January 2022, but everything afterwards is no man’s land, where only the desperate degenerates are.
I'm not sure what "retrace" you're referring to, but given how optimistic the market is right now, the first bitcoin ETF will do a lot of good.  I'm sure the market will come up with plans to extend the optimism to that.  Any crazy bull run is exciting, wait until you have ATH at 73k6 before there are days of slight drops.

Q4 is very promising for a crazy price increase, Taproot launch in November... the most important time for the market to enter a new journey will be.
I don't think this bull market will end so soon as most of the time, bullish season will extend up to the end of the year. So i'm very optimistic and motivated that i should not sell my coins right now because there might be better prices at the end of the year. But i'm not saying that this is not a good time to sell, of course it is, but if you consider better profits, then maybe wait for a while.

However, we should also be cautious with how the market moves. There might be bull trap along the way that will make us decide to start selling our coins. The whales will greatly benefit from it. So always be careful and never jump into decisions that you might only regret in the end.

Are we going to see game 1 tomorrow?

I can't find an announcement yet regarding the schedule of the game, but my guess is only based on the regular schedule of the PBA which are on every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
1877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 18, 2021, 09:32:35 PM

As always, bookmakers favor the champion. However, I think there is really no favorite in this fight. Sure Crawford is undefeated, but that doesn't mean the good streak never ends. Personally, in my opinion, both of them have equal chances, but as I usually like supporting underdogs, I think I'll bet a few bucks on Porter.

You are free to bet on Porter to win if you think there should be no favorites in this fight, you will get a good odds if Porter will win as his current odds is.

I'm sure Porter will try to bully his way, and he also has the power to KO Crawford so it's already a good deal to take.
1878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Musk the boss behind SHIB? on: October 15, 2021, 09:45:18 PM
Why do you guys always think that whenever a coin pumps, it is always associated with Elon Musk? do not just become stereotyping just because of what just Elon has done to Dogecoin, Elon Musk is really influential person and he can really give hype on Shiba if he wants to. I am not that really familiar in the Shiba community because in the first place I didn't even invest in that coin and I don't want to risk my money to a coin that only gets hyped, Shiba is just a meme coin as pump and dump.
But just like Dogecoin, Shiba has already a good community that is supporting it and the reason behind that its demand never stops. I believe its not Elon who hyped Shiba but it remained to be anonymous as of this time. And its a good thing really because if its Elon was behind Shiba, then definitely its future will be just like Dogecoin. So far, Shiba is still gaining more demand from the people and if this meme coin will continue to be profitable, then it will not lose its value and eventually, will not end up like Dogecoin. Its potentials are definitely better than Dogecoin.
1879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin believes Bitcoin has value on: October 15, 2021, 08:48:37 PM

Yes and value of bitcoin will increase more and more because bitcoin is reality, and world understanding the value of crypto currency slowly slowly and more countries will be involved and approved bitcoin in their countries. And I'm looking the Many contries will alow to lagal bitcoin like currieny .So as I say always the world know the future of bitcoin is very bright.
^ It depends on who is the president of the country, there are leaders that has open m indeed when it comes to blockchain technology or BTC itself.
If all leaders in all countries will enlighten their minds and accept cryptocurrency, it sounds good BTC is more legal tender and has the potential to become a worldwide crypto asset. However, this is good news to the country of Russia that their president was accepted BTC and now, probably the crypto mining business in Russia will increase.

Putin is open for suggestions. He could bann BTC in the country if he isn't open for crypto acceptance.

in some report however Putin doesn't see the need for cryptocurrency as payment for gas making his comment invaluable for the community. but with this coment, i guess it crossed their mind for some time. crypto had gone mainstream as we could see reports already where presidents are talking about it. hopefully the people will see it as hedge.
The fact that Putin believes that bitcoin has a real value, i think its a good sign for bitcoin to be accepted soon in Russia. Maybe it will take some time for Putin to consider bitcoin as a medium of payment but when it happens, its price will eventually continue to surge high. And as the number of countries who are considering bitcoin making it as a medium of exchange keeps increasing, then China will certainly feel fears that such countries will no longer need China for their own progress because bitcoin will make it possible.
1880  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just a piece of advice needed here folks on: October 15, 2021, 07:59:17 PM
Hello everyone, please I really would like how you folks get pull out in a project with huge or reasonably profit locked-in.

I started trading (long-term) for couple of years back now and since then i've been doing averagely okay on whatever altcoins project I put into. But what I seem to be lacking is when to actually get out at the right appropriate time.

At least, if not perfectly okay, a bit fairly okay.
Please my pull out strategy are quite poor, kindly help a soul out before it gets completely worst.
Might not be as easy as you may think that it is. For you to be able to make better profit from the market requires a lot of proper planning and having a good level of patience, because if you don’t have the level of patience that’s required, you might keep selling all the time and missing out on the main bigger profits.

I will advise you to learn to have patience and wait for the market to increase before you can start selling your coins. Yes it wouldn’t be to sell whenever you want it, but try to keep some part of that money for a long term if it’s possible for you and see what you can achieve with it.
Of course trading without patience will be very impossible to come up with profits. The market will always have unpredicted conditions and when you think its time for you to sell your coins, then the market suddenly dump. If you don't have patience, you will eventually commit frequent losses.

However, the best solution i think to address your problem is have your own trading plan before you go into trading. Set a price target when to sell, and even if it has reached already and you see the price keeps increasing, just stick to your plan. Your greed will sometimes bring you into losses when you think of not selling because you still aim for higher profits, and then the market price suddenly dump. Eventually, you end up losing than taking profits instead.
