2081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 18, 2020, 05:02:29 PM
Bitcoin prices are now approaching $23,000. Ethereum is still some distance from the highest price in history, and ETH2.0 was successfully realized. I think the price will get better over time. Of course, based on past historical experience, I think Ethereum will perform well next year. We are all looking forward to it.
as long as the price of bitcoin continues to increase it is likely to affect the ethereum price as well, I observe the movement of ethereum up along with the movement of the Bitcoin price. I have big hopes for the Alt season in the coming year, such as the history of the altcoin pump in January 2018.
Indeed. As long as the bitcoin's price is continuously increasing its price, most altcoins would increase their prices the same as Ethereum because most cryptocurrencies sometimes depend on bitcoin. But I do not think Ethereum would create it's new ATH the same as bitcoin this year 2020 because many investors are focusing on bitcoin and other altcoins, so I think it would take a long time for ETH to reach its ATH again.
2082  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoin is enough? on: December 18, 2020, 03:14:03 PM
I don't aim for any specific amount of bitcoin that I could say enough for me because I have many responsibilities in my life that I should still be striving for and have patience in investing in bitcoin in the long-term. It is also difficult for me to accumulate a million dollars amount of bitcoin; that is why there is no way for me to stop using and buying bitcoin as a cryptocurrency.
2083  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trezor users are being attacked via malicious emails and SMS. Be careful! on: December 17, 2020, 08:07:06 PM
I think the customers should be aware that they should ignore an email coming from an unknown sender, they should only communicate on the legitimate email, at the same time maybe trezor had accidentally leaked this information, or if it's true they have been a hack, so as I was saying if you are not sure that the email comes from trezor legit email account ignore it, they might inject something in your computer once you click a certain link,
I didn't know that hardware wallets such as Trezor and Ledger wallets can be attacked by hackers using a phishing site, but I think it really does because there is no perfect technology when it comes to security.

Hardware wallet users should definitely be more aware about phishing sites and any unknown sender to avoid getting hacked or steal information and funds from you. But it is sometimes difficult to know if the message or email you have received is legitimate or not because they sometimes use the same email account name and construction message, that is why you should first make a good research about it in order to protect your funds and information.
2084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally reached $20k on: December 17, 2020, 07:37:49 PM
Few minutes ago, Bitcoin hits $20k and now traded at around $20k. Welcome to new era. We are waiting for a long time to see such things and finally it gives us that peace. Still hoping more to see in the coming days.
Surprisingly, bitcoin's price exceeds to it's $20K price before the end of the year of 2020. I think a lot of people are happy about it because they already recover losses from last year of 2018 and have been able to gain more profit since bitcoin's price hits $23K. But it is still scary to buy and hold a bitcoin while it's price is high because anytime bitcoin's price could go down instantly, that is why I tend to watch it every hour.
2085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake Telegram groups on: December 17, 2020, 07:09:45 PM
Telegram group chats has been a big issue a long time ago that scammers has been creating duplicate and fake telegram group chats in different crypto projects to conceive many investors and bounty hunters to steal their information and funds. It is why you should report Telegram Groups who randomly adds you in their channel.
2086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you sell your BTC for $100 000, and never go back to the game again? on: December 17, 2020, 06:05:32 PM
From my perspective, it is a very hard decision if you would accept the challenge that you will sell your bitcoin when its price hits $100,000 and never buy again because bitcoin is just like an endless stream that you don't know when will it end or what will be its last price. It is why you are missing a much better chances and opportunity in the future if you would stop buying bitcoin, even it takes a very long time for bitcoin to increase it's price.
2087  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 can be achieved by end of year? Or January 2021? on: December 17, 2020, 05:27:24 PM
Finally we have achieved the most awaited mark of $20,000 now what's next? Do you think Bitcoin will cross the next landmark of $25,000 by the end of the year or it might happen in 2021? As per my earlier prediction based on market analysis I thought the value of Bitcoin will cross $20,000 by second week of December which seems bit sceptical at the beginning of this month but now it has come true and of my prediction goes right then Bitcoin will reach $25,000 by the end of this month as next 14 days will be more bullish or chaotic.
Even before the end of 24 hours from this thread was created the goal was reached already by 70% so it is possible to break 25% by this week itself in my opinion.Well Christmas may get some effect on the prices which was the scenario in 2017 as well so by the last week there will be some correction before the next term of bullish trend.
This huge pump on bitcoin's price is really unexpected that we mostly assume that bitcoin will only reached $20K price before the end of the year 2020. But bitcoin's price turned out to be a good result that it already surpassed it's $20K price and it is now more than $23K, so I this is the best Christmas bonus and gift that I have received in my entire life.

2089  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price increasing slowly. on: December 16, 2020, 04:56:26 PM
From what it showed today, I was wrong saying that it won't break the $20k wall this year.

We are still rallying high, moving to break $21k in a very short period of time, and I was looking forward to keeping the momentum and able to reach $25k before the year-end. I'm sure that only a few of us thinking the same way while more thinking about the dumps as it hits its new ATH. But despite the market challenges, we are still able to see the price at this high.

Cheers to everyone who keeps believing crypto and those who never give up understanding the volatility of the market Wink.
I also have expectations that bitcoin won't hit the $20K price this year of 2020. However, as they always say, always expect the unexpected; that is why bitcoin is always moving its price unexpectedly due to its volatility. I think it is a good thing because bitcoin has created its new ATH, that many people definitely have gained a considerable profit this year, so I hope this momentum would continue next year.
2090  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Google down and out for 45 minutes on Monday- the perils of centralization on: December 16, 2020, 02:53:55 PM
Well, people seem to rely heavily on centralized companies and probably don't realize how dangerous that is... not only in the area of network outage, also in privacy, transparency, accountability, security etc.

You don't trust or rely heavily on any internet company that is centralized, not very Transparent, not Privacy-friendly, not Censorship Resistant, that can have important information/data deleted without trace etc. When I realized some of this fact, I stopped considering them for serious/long-term usage.

I think it's already too late for us to stop using Google accounts and other centralized companies on the surface web because ever since we started to use the internet, we have created and have been using different social media accounts on the internet, so I think it is already enough that we have surrendered our personal information from a centralized company.
2091  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rather learn to trade by yourself on: December 16, 2020, 01:49:55 PM
This is a high volatility market? People don't understand what it means, it means the risk is very high, it can break you more than it can make you, it's takes luck and wisdom, consistency and lesson and teachings learned about trading, coupled with discipline the individual uses to take profit.

This crypto currency market is not trade fair or Walmart market.

Trading is very risky, we just trade with risk management. Never give anybody money to trade, if it goes soar wetin u go talk.

Best is to learn the exact process or strategy, and trade for yourself, than give your money to someone to trade for you in a very high volatile market
for yourself it is best to manage our own money rather than giving it to someone else. from the results of managing our own money we can get the experience and technique that suits us. because basically trading is a mystery, it is not enough for us to just analyze, there are still many steps that must be mastered
Indeed. The best way for you to learn something is to do it all by yourself because anything is possible as long as you are dedicated to doing it. Entrusting or giving your money to someone else to trade is a risk because there is no guarantee that his/her strategy will be profitable. Hence, it would be best if you traded all your own to develop your own strategy that is profitable and suits you.
2092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Yfdai ? on: December 16, 2020, 11:11:52 AM
I am not really sure if this YFDAI could be next after YFI because I am already over with DeFi projects because their hype is almost the same as ICO projects that investors are only investing their money in DeFi projects to take advantage of its trend, and later on after the project releasing their coin many investors will be selling their coin after they gain profit.
2093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot going to Kill Ethereum? on: December 16, 2020, 05:38:57 AM
Polkadot has a similar use case in Ethereum, and its project is auspicious that it has a chance to be on the same level as Ethereum. But I don't think it can replace Ethereum because even though many people are having problems paying the gas fees, Ethereum will remain the top altcoins in the crypto market due to its popularity and platform.
2094  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin has not been able to hit $20k price in 2020? on: December 16, 2020, 05:00:55 AM
Please don't be too hasty about bitcoin's price not hitting its $20K price this year 2020 because 2020 isn't yet over, so don't lose hope. But bitcoin has already reached its ATH price in some exchanges like Binance, so I think it is already fair enough for some bitcoin users because they already might recover all of their losses from the year 2018.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best coin in 2020? on: December 15, 2020, 03:49:05 PM
I think, you should invest 1000$ for only bitcoin and ethereum. Other 1000$, you should search and know more about coin and invest, but my opinion, xlm, xrp, usdt, ltc, bnb, eos, neo, waves etc.
It would definitely be better if we would invest the half of your funds in bitcoin and top coins in the market because 100% sure that you can gain profit with it. While the other half of your money, it would better if you will look or find a promising project or coin that could also help you gain profit in a long-term.
2096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub now accepting Monero on: December 15, 2020, 02:37:22 PM
A year and a bit after Verge bought its way onto Pornhub and not sure how many months after Tron bought its way onto Pornhub it finally happened. Visa stopped offering its services to Pornhub, so they were forced to seriously looking into cryptocurrencies and finally add Monero as a payment option.  I will not be surprised if after a year Monero become most used payment option on Pornhub. Why would people want their neighbours know they use Pornhub?

Only this time I found out that Pronhub now accepting cryptocurrency as mode of payment I maybe late to discovered this I could say that this was one of the good news for Monero holders and believers too. Aside from this Monero is also one of the good in terms of its privacy and anonymity just like that.
It's good to know that Pornhub is accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method because it would be convenient for people and crypto users to make an online transaction without using their credit cards to purchase a premium account in Pornhub. But it would be hilarious to know that there are people who will definitely purchase a premium account using their cryptocurrencies in Pornhub. LOL.
2097  Economy / Economics / Re: Why everyone only invest in the crypto market? on: December 15, 2020, 12:08:38 PM
Bitcoin is not an investment, it’s a currency just like USD, nobody can invest a currency. And yup they’re not investing any money, they’re all holding currency such as cash for rainy day. It’s prepping day ahead, stock up bomb, bullet, gun, explosive, gold silver and also body armour, you gotta kill or get kill in a war.
Indeed. Bitcoin was not created as an investment that its true intention is to become a new payment system or an alternative payment for fiat currency. However, many people are only buying bitcoin for its investment value rather than considering it as a medium of exchange because there are only a few retail stores that accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

2100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be very careful with every steps you take on: December 14, 2020, 03:03:26 PM
When you don't know what ends a exchange website ( .com .net .io ) there might be a problem, most especially if you are new to the exchange, today I tried to open an account for MXC exchange and because I am not familiar with the exchange I use google to search for info and this is what I found.

There are fake links to majority of crypto exchanges, this isn't the first time, when I saw .ai I knew something is wrong and again the second red flag is the Ad, that's an ad link, scammers are advertising their cloned exchanges, be very careful what you seek for mates.
must be vigilant I have experienced disappointment because of being deceived by a phishing site. and it makes my assets lost on the exchange. the phishing incident seems to be still being carried out by scammers to find more victims. so be careful
Phishing sites are really everywhere on the surface web; that is why we should avoid clicking unnecessary sites and downloading crack software because we could easily get hacked. We should also avoid logging in using our main accounts on devices that we mostly use to search on the web. I always used a separate device when I try to click unnecessary links because it is the best way for hackers not to detect and bypass my wallets and accounts.
