2361  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people more and more people depend from this on: August 19, 2022, 04:13:15 PM
Everyday we wake up and i ask is btc long or short.
Nowdays this is biggest question and most important one
We wake up morning we ask is the day gona be LONG or SHORT day
Many people asking thus everyday will be short or long and how short or how long will be long or short.
Before we go to bed we think isit going to be short or long if we leave position open for the night.

So yeah.

This only matters to two kinds of people.

1. Daytraders
2. People who are unsure of whether or not they have made the right investment choice

But if you think about it, this has nothing to do with Bitcoin but rather with all investments that fluctuate in value over time. If you buy Tesla stocks, or even a Tesla car, that value of your investment will over time change. It might go up. It might go down. But if you truly believe in your investment to go up over a long period of time, then there is no point in worrying day to day about the current value.

And most people who "flip-flop" on their investments lose money. Its not a good mindset to have.

Either you believe you made the right investment or you are unsure.
2362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The government of my country always blame Bitcoin for their failure. on: August 19, 2022, 02:25:14 PM
When depraved criminal lunatics like politicians need to shift the blame for something that they themselves caused, its only natural for them to point the finger at anything which is popular and easily blame-able.

Smart people will aways be able to see through the politicians and bankers lies because they know the truth. And the truth is that Bitcoin is not something bad, or something which is corrupted. Bitcoin is the ultimate freedom.

If the people of your country only took payment in Bitcoin and refused to pay taxes, then your corrupt politicians would start panicking very fast. Of course they would try to force everyone to pay up by force. Like throwing people in jail or even shooting them.

2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s longest-serving Lead Maintainer calls it quits, names no successor on: August 19, 2022, 02:03:58 PM
Bitcoin is and always will be a community driven project. If someone in the community retires, there will be someone else to take his place. I see no problem here. The only true way Bitcoin can or ever will die is if every single miner, every single Hodler and every single believer of Bitcoin were to change their minds overnight. And even then you would still have to stop the flow of new Bitcoiners and remove all the Bitcoin PR from the internet.

Basically I am saying it is impossible. And news like this only serves as temporary shorting opportunities for whales. And trust me, they love FUD like this. Because they know that this is only a temporary "scare".
2364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining can be carbon negative? YES! on: August 19, 2022, 02:07:16 AM
snip

You have made absolutely no effort to explain how this is going to work. Or how mining will be carbon negative. Unless you want to publically explain, instead of demanding people DM you, I only see red flags. Actually the very fact that you would rather speak to people privately instead of showing your startup/mining business's authenticity, is a huge red flag.

Why should any of us trust you with our money? Do you even have team members? Who are they? Who are you? What can you show us?

Until you can bring forth something of substance, I will avoid your project and I would recommend everyone else avoid it as well.

Smells scammy.

BUILT WITH BITCOIN COMPLETES CLEAN WATER PROJECT FOR 1,000 NIGERIAN VILLAGERS

A smile on their faces is priceless...  NO ELON, NO BIL GATES INVOLVED
It belongs to them https://www.builtwithbitcoin.org/family

I don't really know any of them except this guy Ray who started Paxful and have scene him in every other bitcoin related conference summit etc. Seems like he's doing many good things.

The project, funded with bitcoin, provided the Igbaruku village with clean water, where the community previously had to travel miles to reach a contaminated water source.

“At the Built With Bitcoin Foundation, we operate all around the world to provide communities with clean water, access to quality education, sustainable farming, and humanitarian support, all powered by Bitcoin,” said Yusuf Nessary, co-founder & director of philanthropy at Built With Bitcoin.

So this is what a Bitcoin faucet is?

Jokes aside, this is heartwarming to see.
2366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Turn Down Your Old Friend on: August 18, 2022, 04:22:54 PM
THIS IS THE SITUATION: You are undergoing treatment for gambling addiction for two months already and only your family knows it, then one day one of your long-time buddies who you used to accompany to gamble in casinos wants to treat you for a night in a casino, and you have not seen each other for a very long time and he just want to reminisce old times.
Will you turn him down or agree to go to the casino for old time's sake.

Of course turn him down. And if he knew about your gambling addiction then he also is a terrible friend for trying to sabotage your healing process. As far as friendship goes, that man is no friend to you and you should stay away from him, as he is toxic to your mental health.

However since you mentioned that only your family knows it, in this case you should tell your friend what you are going through. If he is supportive then that is a good friend. If he still tries to convince you to gamble again then keep away from him.

You are the only one in control. There will be temptation from all sides. Hopefully you can ignore that temptation and go about your day.

Good luck.
2367  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino2x.xyz NO KYC! Instant crypto deposit! Only in house games! on: August 18, 2022, 03:46:25 PM
So lets see if I can get this right:

This new online gambling has not provided any proof of their authenticity (as in being licensed), therefore it is only right to assume they are unregistered, unlicensed and unmonitored by any regulators or lawmakers whatsoever, and that alone makes putting your funds into that site a huge risk.

The next red flag is the support misleadingly claiming a minimum $1 deposit is required to withdraw and then switching the requirement to $20 as soon as $1 is deposited. Might be miscommunication. The english is so horrible that I can basically hear the indian accent yelling at me through the monitor "not to redeem".

Sorry, I am out. No trust here whatsoever.

The real SHIT Coin .

In South Korea University ( Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST)) there is a toilet that converts human waste into energy and rewards people with cryptocurrency Ggool.

"An  average person defecates about 500g a day, which can be converted to 50 litres of methane gas, the environmental engineer said. This gas can generate 0.5kWh of electricity or be used to drive a car for about 1.2km (0.75 miles)." Source

Ggool is really what a shit Coin is!!!

Ironically the only shitcoin that actually has value which is backed by something.

Did we not already have a intense WO burger discussion in the past already?

Anyway,

Carls Jr. and In-N-Out are probably the best in my opinion. The whopper is nothing to laugh at either.

McDonalds burgers have no substance and taste like plastic. The only good part is the BigMac sauce.

2370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: accurate sport prediction on: August 17, 2022, 08:40:04 PM
Hi guys, pls can anybody send me a website or  football tip star that give accurate football tips that as high success of winning rate or if you know of s reliable site or tip star that give fixed football matches kindly pm thanks

Anybody who claims to know the future and give accurate predictions is a scammer or sharlatan. And anyone who offers to sell you their predictions/courses/tips in exchange for "a fee" only cares about one thing: your money.

Don't be foolish.

Nobody can provide you with accurate sport predictions. There are only prediction estimates and sometimes they can get quite close. They are however always free. Just browse this forums gambling subforums and be active with the community. You will find a lot of data which will help you make your own "accurate predictions".

Also fixed matches? Lol. Even if someone knows insider info why would they give that info away? To get caught or to win less money?
Nobody has that crystal ball telling future and there are scammers only trying to sell these fake service to some fool victims in the market. If they could exactly predict the outcome of any match then why couldn't they bet huge amounts on it with high odds and win out of it instead of finding people to have small fees from them? So this is all fake and you can only predict the outcome based on past judgement and your sense nothing else.

I think its better to throw away the idea that anyone (even yourself) can predict the future in something as complex as gambling. Nobody can predict it. Even if you play simple gambling games with a single dice. Sure, you can say the mathematical probability of winning, but you will not be able to say when you win or lose.

The idea of prediction is very dangerous. It serves nobody. Its just superstition with fancy data and graphs (in the cases of "professionals").

I think it is better to find ways to raise your probability of winning. But never predict.

If people adopted such a mindset then they would not be getting scammed so often. Its really the gullible who get scammed in the first place.
2371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to be a hero? (maybe not) on: August 17, 2022, 08:11:27 PM
A man in Lebanon was hailed a hero after he takes a bank a hostage. And the reason why he did that? it's because he can't withdraw his money from bank. He had a family emergency, so obviously, he needed that money for hospital bills and all his saving is in that bank. And the hostage ended after the negotiators were able to produce $35,000 (£29,000) of his savings upfront.

Quote
The suspect's brother told journalists: "My brother has $210,000 in the bank and wants to get just $5,500 to pay hospital bills."

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-62514631

I don't know if I can good to that length to hostage the bank or something. But one thing is for sure, if people could just learn how to put their money on bitcoin or crypto, in which they have total control, maybe in times of need, you can just transfer some and convert it to fiat anytime you want. You don't need to be a hero.

In other news,  Video Shows Tanks Protecting Crisis-Hit Banks In China, Internet Says "History Repeats Itself".

Banks are the Blockbusters of our current age. They are screaming, flailing and doing anything they can to stay relevant but the truth is, banks are becoming completely unnecessary and redundant. I relish the thought that, one day, bankers will be on the streets with a "will hold your money for food" cardboard sign.

Its just the government's way of holding the people hostage. And if they do not have that, they can only threaten people by taking away their freedom instead of their money. And the government knows that.

I feel bad for the Lebanese guy, especially considering his emergency situation, but this is a good show of why we need to get rid of banks as soon as possible!

Banking strikes me as one of those sectors that attracts a certain kind of opportunist asshole seeking to employ a public industry for exploitative purposes. And now the general standard is improving, the unfair advantages they entrenched themselves for are no longer so available. Like you said, they look like they are becoming desperate & it all looks a bit cheap & old hat. Coronavirus & monkey pox & all this manufactured alarmist shit are their way of trying to hold on. Once upon a time the evil bastards would have used the plague or the black death or a great spate of food factory or bushfires or something Embarrassed

Unfortunately, exploitative people like that exist because of a broken system. A broken system based on greed and outdated money technology. This is why things will only get better once Bitcoin becomes the global currency which will outshine any outdated fiat or government financial regulations.

People need to understand that the government is just a giant business. They do not care for their "workers" unless the workers are making such huge protests that they cannot ignore it.

The only thing they care about is profit.

Thats why we need a decentralised transparent money that nobody can control.
2372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: August 17, 2022, 07:27:14 PM
Having a gambling addiction is a big problem for a gambler, whether we admit it or not. A disease that is contagious but not fatal. It seems like it becomes inborn in a person who is a gambler. That's why if he wants to lose his addiction to gambling it's his own decision and in my opinion a therapist is the best to consult on this matter. So @OP has done this very well for the awareness among the members here in the forum. Great job!

I would have to argue the opposite. Just because its not physically fatal does not make it any better. People lose everything with addictions, whether gambling addictions or other kinds of addictions like drug addictions.

They lose their family, their health, their homes, their sanity, their money and much much more. So just because it is not fatal, does not make it better. In fact, in some cases a fast death would be better than the slow death some people go through with addiction. No joke.

OP is doing a great thing in gathering so much info and advice on how to manage gambling addiction. Kudos to him!

Bitcoin is the solution.

This picture is actually the perfect representation of investing in shitcoins. Just replace the word inflation with devaluation and the flag with the shitcoin symbol.

2375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why can't bitcoin be based on something that has value? on: August 17, 2022, 02:53:35 AM
I am so tired of people claiming that Bitcoin has no intrinsic value.

Some people seem to think that things like electricity, rented room, mining rigs, internet costs and so on are provided for free by some socialist government entity or something? All those things cost money. You can't mine Bitcoin for free. If you want to mine Bitcoin, it will cost you money.

That potential cost of mining Bitcoin is what gives Bitcoin its minimal, base value.

Unless you steal your neighbors electricity. But in that case your neighbor would be paying for your Bitcoin mining.

But thats a short term solution.

The Houston Texans enter the crypto realm as the first NFT team in history to accept crypto. The acceptance of crypto is made possible through its recent partnership with the Houston-based crypto wallet platform called BitWallet.

Houston Texans easing the payments with crypto

The partnership will allow fans to use their cryptocurrency for payments to purchase single game suites. The Houston Texans also earn the title of being the first NFL team to sell a suite through crypto payments.

“We are proud to partner with BitWallet to offer an exciting option for our fans who are looking to enjoy Texans gameday in one of our suites.”

“Digital currency has become a primary means of payment and by partnering with BitWallet, the Texans are leading the way in the NFL.” “I am honored that BitWallet is the first to offer Texans fans this service,” said BitWallet CEO John T. Perrone.

The most recent trend in cryptocurrency initiatives is the sponsorship of sports, including baseball, Formula 1, UFC, football, and eSports. The multi-million dollar expenditures on sports partnerships are primarily intended to increase credibility and fan engagement.

Crypto transactions involving sports clubs and leagues increased by over 100% in 2021 and are anticipated to continue growing in the years to come.

For leagues, clubs, and sportsmen throughout the world, the crypto sector is incredibly valuable. In response, leagues, teams, and professional players are attempting to engage with younger audiences, such as Gen Zers and Millennials, a difficult-to-reach yet crucial demographic for the sports business.

With the soaring adoption of cryptocurrencies and the fact, that they are the fastest and most reliable mode of payment for many as compared to conventional modes of payment, the acceptance of crypto is crucial. Not just by merchants worldwide, but the sports teams and companies accepting crypto for payments are actually easing the whole process for the fans.

....

Texas has a strong crypto mining industry powered by their newly constructed wind farms. Accepting crypto for NFL ticket sales will further boost crypto adoption in state.

I would guess florida could be next to accept crypto for ticket sales with the tampa bay buccaneers.

Texas and florida would appear to be two of the most crypto friendly states in the USA.

While new york and california would be the least friendly.

Sounds like a great first step for Houston Texans and the crypto community (as well as the crypto gambling community) overall. I really just don't hope that we see another onstorm of regulators trying to spoil the party by trying to get their foot in the door and introducing arbitrary reasons of why crypto and gambling needs to be kept away from each other.

Although why exactly they picked Bitwallet is a bit of a mystery to me. There are way better wallets. But, all roads lead to rome I guess.

As far as the crypto community is concerned, they could possibly help with this new crypto adoption by helping increase credibility and fan engagement as well. The bigger the PR the better.
2378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real most rewarding Crypto Casino? on: August 16, 2022, 09:18:46 PM
I have made the experience that no matter what kind of online gambling crypto casino you enter, they usually have very similiar bonuses and advantages. This is true for the majority of the biggest,  most popular casinos. So if you want to take advantage of the rewards system you need to know which programs they are offering during which times. Sometimes one casino has an exciting thing going on and some other casino has nothing exciting. Then next month its the other way around. So its bit hard to say which casino is the most rewarding. If you want to make the most of the rewards then you should diversify your casinos instead of concentrating one a single one.

Most days I walk away after playing in the casino a bit depressed, regardless of whether I win or not just because I have to walk away  Roll Eyes

Maybe I should be giving my daily gambling habits at least a small pause before they become anything that resembles an "addiction" from someone elses point of view. I would not want people to start judging me or start feeling sorry for me.

Although whenever I make bigger wins I do walk away with a spring in my step and a smile on my face for the rest of the day. I guess its just the dopamine rush from winning though. Once that wears off, you will have less dopamine and that makes you sad/depressed again. Its just borrowing dopamine from tomorrow basically.
2380  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Blacklist] of unreliable, 'taint proclaiming' Bitcoin services / exchanges on: August 14, 2022, 11:47:26 PM
I think it would be a good idea to have a wallet which warns you when you are about to transfer coin to an address owned by one of these taint-scam freaks. We should destroy their business model at the root and use their own tactic against them. I think every wallet should have them on their "blacklist".

The most prudent option would be to avoid centralization all together and never put your coins in a third party wallet, but people seem to really enjoy all the diverse altcoins which exchanges have to offer.

This is a people's war against the government. Lets not let them intimidate us with their lapdogs.
