4581  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many consumers own cryptocurrency? on: August 28, 2018, 11:31:45 AM
The main problem with these is that, when you do a research on politics to get info on who will vote for who it makes a bit sense, you can ask 1000 random people on different places and see who will vote who, however if the questions is regarding something as specific as owning cryptocurrency, asking 1000 people in a country doesn't really reflect the end result as well.

You can ask 1000 people but there is like 80 million people living in turkey, hence its impossible to really even be close to it.
Also where have you asked, have you asked just modern cities or have you also asked people from more eastern middle east borderline cities where people are not even using internet that commonly ? I doubt so.

Basically this is all a wrong guess from the part of the people who made this and probably not even remotely close to the real results. Considering the lira dropped in august and this was done in June, OP is also quite wrong.
4582  Economy / Economics / Re: How much important bitcoin for entrepreneurs? on: August 28, 2018, 07:00:02 AM
Since bitcoin's purpose is for the betterment of payment system especially in online transaction, bitcoin will really give a better option for entrepreneurs to make their business more fast, convenient, secure and low transaction rates. That's also the reason why many companies nowadays are already engaged in blockchain.
Yes, fast transactions is one thing any entrepreneur will always be looking at and as long as it makes processes easy for them without having any form of barrier internationally when it comes to their business, then it is a space that would be a lot relevant and useful for them. When a business is looking for worry-free way of holding funds for future developments and to attract new community of customers for their business then bitcoin must be very good choice for them.

Asides that, I believe the usage of this space depending on the sector of the entrepreneur anyway can enable them get work done faster based on certain skills and have no problem paying whoever completes the task wherever they may be. One thing an entrepreneur wants is to be able to utilize time and funds effectively and this sure looks more like it.
4583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why I'm selling all my ETH (over 2000) and you should too on: August 28, 2018, 04:25:49 AM

yes im also selling all my etherium , not just etherium but also my bitcoin . i sold them all because i needed the cash for some important spendings and i didnt regret at all even though im aware that both coins can still recover and give me 2x profit than compared to the day that i sell them .

thats what did also happened to op . you know guys , there nothing really wrong to sell as long as you know whats really good for you and everyone of us has thier own seprerate decisions in life , so choose your path wisely  .
No one is really stopping anyone from selling as long as they have a concrete and reasonable reason for selling in the first place.

For yours, I can understand, but for the OPs', I cannot simply understand why having a small scaling problem could be an issue for investing and it is not like the whole scaling thing may not end up becoming a thing of the past.

Generally, scaling sure looks like a big issue in the crypto market once it hits the large scale, which is why it makes it easy for coins like this to keep growing since this is what the devs will be building on to bring about a better product in the long run.
4584  Economy / Economics / Outsourcing for printing currency notes will lead to adopt cryptos finally ? on: August 14, 2018, 01:01:57 PM
I just shocked on reading this article :
https://www.scmp.com/news/china/society/article/2158782/why-other-countries-are-giving-china-licence-print-money

“successfully won contracts for currency production projects in a number of countries including Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, India, Brazil and Poland,”

When a country is unable to facilitate the infrastructures to print money, I just wonder how effectively they could manage their economy ? Instead of struggling with this types of management I believe they may adopt bitcoin or may introduce their own cryptos just to focus on making their economy better.

If printing money alone is a big problem like taking measurements against counterfeiting then digital payment system must be the perfect solution to them.  Bitcoin and its descendants are having regulated money supply and big security against counterfeiting. But who will teach these governments about the prospectus of adopting cryptos ?
4585  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is a constant rise in the price of Bitcoin, important? on: July 15, 2018, 07:04:44 AM
For investors who tend to hold and make money or invest in cryptocurrency and let it rest there for a long time, it is very important that the value of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to go up, because if it wont, then their investments would end up being counted as a loss, an increasing value of cryptocurrency also means increasing value of the cryptocommunity.
I see a lot of reason in what the OP said, but the thing with bitcoin is that nothing is predictable and not everyone can actually be a trader to know when they should be cashing out once in a while or not.

It is normal to see the whales doing their thing since it is a decentralized market anyway which makes it very easy for them and with this in play, we cannot always see a constant rise since everything is based on speculation. The only time we can get to see constant rise is when the demand is really there for a long time based on real life usage and not speculations.
4586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont Buy BTC Expensive, Wait. on: July 15, 2018, 03:27:22 AM
Oh, yes. You will have an opportunity to buy at $2K, then $1.5K. But I cant even imagune why you could do it. Cryptobbubble is no more.  The fair price is about $1800. Going straight there.
No, the price is low and we see that it is improving from few days which may continue to grow more in the upcoming days if it maintains its trend. So do not wait more in making decision of buying it or not, just simple invest half of the amount.

If the market recovers and maintains its position then invest more on the other hand if the market is going back again then wait for it so that you reach at the lowest value which is your benefit.
It does not even have to be half of the money. One can distribute them in percentage and based on the further level of decrease, keep loading up more. The thing here is that in the long run of things from this stage, any buying in for long position is definitely going to be worth it.

Nevertheless, I am sure this is only going to be done by smart investors as some even at $3k will still panic or get greedy waiting for more lows until they never end up getting it.
4587  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at 20 000$ tomorrow? on: July 15, 2018, 02:26:02 AM
In theory, it's totally possible but in practice, I think you're just dreaming. And IF it happens to be sure there are some people and media who will jump on to say it is confirmed there is a market manipulation with all kind of conspiracy theories.
The recent days are showing us all the weak hands who panic and sell their coins.
In fact, with the way the OP put it, one would think of a possibility of something like that but one thing I have known about all these finance dudes is that they are always strategic in their dealings and highly manipulative for their own gains which makes me believe that even Warren will not just come up one morning and buy everything at once to move the price upward but would rather keep accumulating until he is able to get a huge ground and position in the market during accumulation first which is how I believe whales play their card.
4588  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin will go down below 6000 (explanation) on: July 14, 2018, 03:10:26 PM
So far I agree with your explanation but it's too early to give up and panic. Bitcoin is normally has a volatile attitude to counter it just trust and advertise more bitcoin so that many investors are getting involve.
I do as well because if we really want to look at the way things are presently, it is becoming glaring that history is actually somehow beginning to repeat itself. We still have a long way to go though, anything can change at any time, but for now, we sure are on the track of history.

Nevertheless, this does not change anything and we probably are going to be hitting it anyway based on lot of technicalities, so I guess we will have to wait and see how things would evolve.
4589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Neo Making A move on: July 10, 2018, 01:53:42 PM
Yeah, but I would not bet so much on it until I can see some uptrend possibilities with a higher high and low, but whichever way, I am so sure NEO is going to be giving a lot this summer in terms of an upward movement. 200 usd is a lot anyway as I would not be hoping for that huge amount, but the way I am looking at it prepping up, I can see something way above $100.

I may be wrong, I may be right, but I guess we will see with time where it all ends, but whichever way, it is still going to end up being a win anyway.
4590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Cardano Price Reach $ 10 in 5 Years? on: July 06, 2018, 05:51:50 PM
Been wanting to have this cryptocurrency in my portfolio since i got to know its usage. While the market is down, it's expected too that its market price falls down too which is a good time to invest on it at 0.14 cents as of now. And if it reaches 10$ five years from now, that's a very big amount of money already.
If you really want to, now that the market has been down hugely for a while and in the oversold state, you may actually want to start considering accruing some. Although, we cannot say how low the market can still go lower as it is still in its downtrend anyway, but for now, I still see it as a good price to take advantage of for those who may actually want to be looking forward to a very good profit when the whole market recovers which I believe ADA will do to and $10 in 5 years is something I would not doubt at all.
4591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling vs. "leveraged" trading on: June 28, 2018, 05:06:18 PM
Both trading and leverage trading can be compared to gambling. The less you know what you are doing and the more you are relying on luck on how you feel the market will go, the more of a gambler you are. The difference is, leverage trading is similar to gambling when you borrow money, so you can bet higher amounts. You can win more but you can lose faster as well.
Precisely, leverage trading compared to gambling all I can say is worst in gambling. There's no assurance in gambling but in trading maybe you have a chance. If I rate them in my own the lowered one is gambling, pure luck base on gambling but in trading, you have a chance by searching and make a study of what coin you trade for.
For me, these two things are very risky, so I will not engage of these of strategy in earning money.
I don’t know how can you compare gambling with trading and leveraged trading? Trading is far better than gambling because it is business and the source of making more and more money while gambling is the way of losing your earned money. It will take to into debts and you will never be able to pay those debts till the end of your life and finally you will suicide.
The good thing about trading is that you have all it takes to be a winner most of the time and even if you are losing, you are just losing small.

I understand a lot of people consider margin trading with gambling, but that depends on each individual and how they are going about it which indeed some people are actually gambling than trading anyway since they simply have no strategy and all they do is guess work, and that is not different but in the case where they are doing it professionally with great knowledge it is a lot more than just gambling.
4592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: June 24, 2018, 09:01:53 AM
I do not see any reason now to waste time and participate in airdrops.  It is better to participate in the bounty.
It is really a waste of time since you will even have to do some huge activity in most of them, no matter how little and end up getting peanut for it, but like they always say, it is free money but I feel for those who really value their time, there is really a lot to do with that time than to keep wasting on things that are irrelevant as the case may be.

There is no time to waste on just so little in this space and better to utilize it well than end up regretting it later on and like you said; bounty is even a better way to go.
4593  Other / Off-topic / Re: Backup is important on: June 24, 2018, 04:37:43 AM
If you have forgotten the information you just traded and do not have the backup feature, it is difficult for you to lose the data you need to know about important backups.
No way to recover the funds that has gone it's private keys, it's not only difficult but there's no chance of getting it again.

Getting back ups like what the recommendations here will suit someone that wants to be safe with his funds. Also don't mess with websites that are asking such important answers including your funds, leave those sites immediately.
Private keys are even totally different things here and for this reason I decided to print out my private keys and put them in a much secured environment while I also saved some on my email since it is the easiest to access at any point in time with maximum security on my mail.

With respect to the 2FA that the OP mentioned, I really do not expect that to be a problem since the like of Authy has a backup program inbuilt within the app itself and that makes it easy for anyone who ends up losing their device to retrieve the information present in the app back.
4594  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: June 23, 2018, 05:30:53 PM
I think when they invested in high bitcoin and now it has fallen, they claim that it is true, losing money so they do not control themselves, do not think carefully that they fall into the bottom of the field abysmal.
Well bitcoin ups and downs is very normal because of volatility I think they need to control their emotions not to become panic in this situations because if they become panic seller for sure they will lose more but if they know what to do they can be a winner in the end.
The issue is certainly not everyone understood the volatility of bitcoin before even investing in it.
As long as that is in play and a lot of them are looking forward to getting rich pretty fast, then that becomes a huge problem.

The thing that is important in this space is to always utilize every moment to your advantage, if you ended up buying at the peak, wait for the dip and buy more which is as simple as it gets, rather than being terrified. Bitcoin will recover and there is no doubt about that.
4595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Game over on: June 23, 2018, 02:48:07 PM
The bubble was inflated by users themselves. But what next? This will not lead to the death of bitcoin. Someone lost their money, someone earned. The balance in the network is maintained. Bitcoin is still attractive to people in the first place the opportunities it offers. Price this is the second time.
It was obvious this would be something to expect during the bubble phase we got into last year. As long as a real demand based on intrinsic value is not driving a market but just some level of speculation and manipulation, then it is a bubble. Bitcoin itself is not a bubble but it was bubbled and that bubble popped earlier and we are still in continuation of the burst of the bubble. It is hard to know how low this is going to get for now, but we have to wait and see.

I never accept that conclusion of "game over". We are still in the beginning of game of new history of human race. It will not end up in near future as it is evaluating itself to adopt the changes and advancements hence just a price drop will not write the last chapter of bitcoin's era.
4596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont Buy BTC Expensive, Wait. on: June 23, 2018, 08:52:38 AM
Can all the people telling others what to do please list their qualifications to do so and provide references? I'd also like to see a timestamped trading history too so I can ascertain how skilled they were at making the right calls in the past.

Looking forward to the documentation, thanks.
I cannot stop laughing with that question Grin. People tend to give advice but they really do not even have what it takes at all to give any advice which I believe they cannot even advice themselves to even make the right decisions. I really will be looking forward to that documentation as well. People just feel they can easily find recognition trying to just assume everything for the market but in the real sense, they simply do not even have what it takes to do so.
4597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: June 23, 2018, 07:18:52 AM
I have already joined hundreds of airdrops but I got nothing until now. I will never join AirDrop programs any more.
- Each airdrop rewards only some token, that its value from $5 to $20 (calculated by the ICO price)
- Most of the token are dead now (just spammed projects or shit coins)
- Some tokens have been listed on Coinmarketcap now but the token price is terrible low. The value even equal to the transaction fee if I send the tokens to exchanges.
The problem is you are looking at it the wrong way, doing it the wrong way and joining airdrops for the wrong reasons.
Firstly, this is free money which you really did not work much for, so you should not be angry that the value is not what you expect now. Secondly, airdrops are just a way to build a community of holders, and if you get that idea, you will know better.

In terms of doing it the wrong way, you have been concentrating on just getting airdrops, but you have been concentrating less on getting actually from projects with at least possibility of great future in the long term.
4598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best source to find better ICOs? on: June 23, 2018, 04:40:09 AM
Yourself. Do not trust anyone on the internet.
I wonder why people look for sources to make decisions. Yes, sources can help to filter out some of the ICOs you may want to look into since the space is filled with a lot of ICO and trying to get a glimpse of what to invest in and what not to can take a lot of time.

Nevertheless, with some review websites like ICO bench, you can get to see what people are talking about or what is being listed, do further research on those ones, and see if it is worth investing or not.
4599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market can be manipulated? on: June 22, 2018, 06:57:13 PM
I think manipulation is possible. Previously, there had been news manipulation. Maybe it's one of them. In any case, I think that if now manipulations to reduce the price, then in the future there will be manipulations to increase. I don't care, I just hold.
Manipulation is not just possible, it is being done. Wash trading, spoofing, name them are all being done across exchanges. Do we want to talk about how the media is being used daily just to send wrong messages and even false ones to the space and you get to see people and traders acting on it pretty fast.

All those things are being done in this space already and it is a good thing that the government in a way is looking into it, but the hard part is that it is not globally regulated and with all the exchanges thereabout, it would be hard to implement.
4600  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wish I dump all the BTC in late DEC 2017 on: June 22, 2018, 03:42:03 PM
what a year, wish I dump all the coin in late DEC lol

and today, spend the 100% from that capital and bought it again, so u still holding the same amount as late DEC while steady with the 900% profits..

Oh come on.
What if I bought BTC when it was under 10$ and sold it when it reached $20k?
You didn't know what will happen, made the wrong decision and that's that.

Exactly, no one knows when we were going to see a reversal in the price of bitcoin, we knew it was close but that was it, besides as long as you bought your bitcoin before October of that year you made good profits, I have been holding for longer than that and even with the crash I am sitting in some good profits but with the price this low it is obvious I'm not going to sell now.
That is why we have the trend anyway but one thing I know is that there is actually no way we can know what is coming and what is not which makes it very hard to know what decision to make most of the time and most especially when one is not a trader in the market.

However, holding is never a problem for those who do not always know what to do in the market since there is no way a market will never reach its bottom and bounce back from there anyway, which makes me believe that the best thing to do is to hold and buy more in the cases of dips in the market.
