Bayern are really flexing their muscle just to show PSG how superior they are over them.. 20minutes and PSG hasn't had any decent shot at goal and if it continues like this, the Germany team will start to get goals and it will be attack after attack... So far so good am rooting for a Bayern win here, say 2-0.

I agree. The first half is over now and so far Bayern is clearly dominating the game, they have the ball most of the time and also had more chances to score then PSG. Given the fact that they are playing in Paris today i have to say that the performance of Bayern so far is pretty impressive. Itis also true though that Bayern Munich also did not have any very big chances so far. The shot from Kimmich pretty close to the end of the first half was the best chance in the game but Donnarumma made a good save there.
The outcome of the game is very hard to predict for me. Yes Bayern is dominating so far, but PSG definitely has the class to make one or even two goals out of a counterattack. So for me every outcome of this game is still very much possible. A win for any of the sides or a draw.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 14, 2023, 11:01:06 AM
I doubt both Messi and Mbappe won’t be available because they have released their squad list and I saw both of their names. Besides they were pictured in training on Monday morning as the squad were put through their final paces ahead of the tie. As for Ac Milan Vs Tottenham, both sides aren’t in good shape so I don’t see one winning with more goals. Maybe a 1-1 draw.

To me it seems like it was all a strategy of PSG regarding the status of Mbappe. Every time i have read something in the last few weeks about the upcoming match of PSG vs Bayern Munich today it always said, that Mbappe will miss this match for sure. Now a few days before the match suddenly Mbappe is able to play. So it really smells like a strategy of PSG to me.
I don't know though if Mbappe is really 100% fit and ready to go over the full lenght of the match, or if he is only able to play for like 60 minutes or if he is only able to get in for the last 10 minutes or so. We will see. In the end Mbappe is just one player out of 22 so it is not like that this is changing everything.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero to PoS? on: February 14, 2023, 10:53:44 AM
Many of today's altcoins are switching to PoS just to increase on-chain performance and reduce energy consumption in the long run. I know PoS makes the Blockchain centralized, but it seems like the path crypto is heading to in the future (except Bitcoin). Would you imagine Monero becoming a PoS coin someday? Or at least a hybrid coin making use of both PoW and PoS consensus algorithms? Having a full-fledged privacy coin like Monero turning to PoS would be the first of its kind in the crypto/Blockchain space. I'd prefer XMR to stay PoW forever just like BTC, but you never know if developers change their mind sometime in the future. Even Zcash proposed the transition to PoS.
Do you think there's a possibility Monero will switch to PoS? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

I don't think that Monero will ever switch it's consensus mechanism away from PoW to PoS. That does not mean that it is impossible or that it will never happen in the future but i personally just don't think that it will happen. Also there already was (or still is) a privacy coin that also used PoS as their consensus mechanism, DeepOnion.
Nowadays that project is already dead with a trading volume of only a few hundred $ per day, but back in 2018 or so it was pretty well known because they distributed most of their total supply to members of their signature campaign and a lot of people from this forum were part of that. So it would be not the first time if Monero would switch to PoS.

So shameful for Eintracht Frankfurt. Losing  3 -0 to Cologne whom I thought is a supper win and a supper chance for them to overthrow Freiburg and Leipzig.
It's quite shameful to see Frankfurt struggling to have a goal against Cologne since the beginning of the second half. Dominating the possession since first with No no good on-target attempt.

The result of this match was definitely a surprise for me, but i also have to say, that it also did not come completely out of the blue. Just look at the performances of FC Cologne after the winter break so far. They have not lost a single match yet, even though they were also playing against Bayern Munich for example. So they are definitely one of those teams that have a strong momentum on their side.
Frankfurt also was on a pretty good run so far after the break but today it just did not work out for them. Frankfurt had a slightly higher ball possession so it was not like Cologne completely dominated the game. They just were more effective and were able to create more good chances out of of their possession. Sometimes you have days like that.
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from a brother's mistake on: February 12, 2023, 08:41:06 PM
A minute of silence for all Alliance Block investors...i have a brother who invested in this altcoin, hoping to hold till the next bull market, unfortunately the unexpected happened, now all the money is gone before he realized what's going on.
What lesson could be learned from this?

I think that it is very important to diversify your portfolio, even if you have a specific project that you are convinced, that this is the best project of them all and that it will give you the best profit. Especially in the crypto world there is always the possibility that you lose your complete funds in one way or the other. The platform that you are using can get hacked, if you have your tokens or coins staked on a platform. The project itself can be hacked or can be a scam or a rugpull so even if you still have the coins, then they are simply worthless.
It is always good to have a good mix in your portfolio. Some big and established projects and maybe also some small caps which obviously are high risk.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 12, 2023, 02:54:25 PM
when facing leipzig, union berlin did not seem to dominate, they even only managed to get 36% ball possession, union berlin is very lucky to score goals in 61 and 72 minutes. the narrow 2-1 victory they managed to get made them in second place at the moment, really very competitive competition, just look at the difference in points between bayern, union and Dortmund.

I also think that yesterday it was a very lucky win for Union Berlin and to be completely honest, even though i was a completely neutral spectator of that match, i kinda hoped that RB Leipzig would win yesterday. Not because i like RB Leizpig more than Union Berlin but simply because i think that RB Leipzig probably has the biggest chances to give Bayern Munich a good fight for the Bundesliga championship this year. I just don't think that Union Berlin can stay up there until the end of the season. Borussia Dortmund is very successful after the break so far but they also were very lucky especially in the first 3 matches after the break. They won all of them but they could have also easily made 3 draws there or even have lost.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Delisted Alts from KuCoin!!! on: February 12, 2023, 01:45:49 PM
The below assets have been delisted from KuCoin which means any moment from now withdrwal will be closed as well. Anyone who is holding any of these assets in KuCoin should act quickly before it is too late.
I would say this type of situation is reason why some alts are not good for long term investment because as new potential projects keeps coming up, some existing ones are fading out slowly because they are not able to keep up with the speed at which things operate in the crypto world.
I must say among all these coins, am a bit disappointed about sov being among the list, those who pariticipate in the signature campaign will understand what i meant. Too bad the team where too greedy in my opinion.

Thanks for the head-up. It seems like none of the small-cap projects that i am holding is affected this time. KuCoin has always been the big exchange that was listing the most small coins in my opinion and i also think this helped KuCoin to become one of the biggest exchanges today, because i would guess a lot of those holders of those small project only had KuCoin as a reliable exchange to trade and afterwards they have sticked around and kept on using Kucoin.
Obviously from time to time you have to make a checkup and if a project has almost no trading volume anymore, then the exchange will delist it, because otherwise it is just lost money for them because they have to keep supporting it even though they are not making money from trading fees with it.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 11, 2023, 11:03:08 PM
Bayern Munich made no mistakes at home and took the 3 points with 3 goals. It was a comfortable week and win for them.
One of the results that surprised me this week was the leipzig-union berlin match.  The home side had more possession and even led at half time. But they lost the match with two goals in the second half. In this way, union berlin managed to maintain the point difference with Munich with 3 points from this difficult away match.

The result of Bayern vs Bochum make it seem like it was a very dominant performance of Bayern Munich today, but i watched the whole game and i have to say that, especially in the first half, i was not really impressed about the way that Bayern has played. It was a pretty boring match in the fist half and Bochum did not have much problems to defend against Bayern. Bayern only had like 2 mediocre chances to score in the first half. It needed a huge mistake by a defender of Bochum for Bayern Munich to score. After that obviously Bayern had more space to pass and to play and then the other two goals were easier to create.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with shitcoiners without being harsh about reality. on: February 11, 2023, 10:59:26 PM
[context: I started out WAY too open minded about crypto shitcoins and now I feel like I am trapped in shitcoin hell and everyone around me is also]

I don't really need that you need to make sure that you also save your friends from "shitcoin hell". You can tell them your opinion about it and if they are still insisting to ape into almost every shitcoin launch after that then there is nothing you can do because it's their own decision and their own money that they will lose. In general i have to say that i agree with you, that all those meme-coins are just shitcoins that were created by people that just wanted to make quick money without any effort. Of course i acknowledge that quite a few people became very rich because they invested very early in Shiba Inu, but that time is over. I think the long term trend for Shiba Inu is downwards and all those new meme-coins that are still appearing every day are all dead again within a few weeks at max.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 11, 2023, 04:01:32 PM
even though bellingham is a young midfielder, his skills and creativity are still far behind from modric, as far as i've noticed, modric is madrid's best midfielder to date.  what is currently the most important thing for madrid to pay attention to is their line of attack because benzema is not young anymore, the best attacking options at the moment are haaland or mbappe, if madrid manages to buy one then the madrid squad will again be the best in la liga.

Well even though Modric may be still be the better overall midfielder at the moment in comparison to Bellingham it would still make sense for Real Madrid to try to get Jude Bellingham now because obviously Modric will only play one more year maybe or he will retire after this season because he already is 37 years old. As you already said though, Real Madrid already has signed a few younger players, that can replace Modric once he is retiring, so i really don't think that it would make any sense for Real Madrid to try to sign Bellingham now too.
Real Madrid already had a huge amount of debts and Bellingham will probably cost 100 M€ or even more.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 11, 2023, 03:56:16 PM
I'm in crypo world since 2021 only and since then I've noticed a lot of folks talking about Tether as being a potentional scam that may crash the markets one day and I've watched videos from crypto detectives/scam busters such as Coffeezilla and he makes some pretty fair points about Tether being the cryptos biggest scam.
I wanna personally know from people who have been in crypto for little longer than I have and maybe know a few things more or could share their personal view on Tether.
My side question to this would also be: Which type of stablecoin do You find the most credible in the Crypto space?
Thanks in advance for more experienced folks for sharing their insight!

I am also not really a crypto expert, even though i started to learn about cryptos back in 2017 but i think USDT has a kinda dubious reputation for a reason. As far as i know the main reason why a lot of people are skeptical if USDT is really safe and stable enough even, when a big crash happens agin is the fact that a few years ago the company behind USDT changed the wording regarding their backing of USDT from "we have enough real USD to back every USDT minted" to "we have enough reserves to back every USDT that is minted" but no one really knows what kind of reserves they are talking aobut and if they even exist.
As far as i know they have started to publish infos about their reserves now, so maybe that big criticism is gone now.

Ancellotti will be the new Brazilian coach after this season according to ESPN.
Who will go to Real Madrid? Zidane? Conte?

This is the first time that i have heard this and i am pretty surprised about that news or rumor. I just did a quick research and it seems like the rumor is not true because the Brazilian Football Confederation has already made an official statement that they have not signed Ancelotti as their new coach. So this could mean that he will not become their coach at all or that he has just not signed the contract yet because they are still negotiating. I think that Ancelotti has pretty high demands in terms of his salary and i don't know how wealthy the Brazilian Football Federation is, but i think this could be a pretty big blocker.
Regarding the new coach of Madrid then. I can imagine that Thomas Tuchel could be a favorite to get the job.

534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 10, 2023, 01:23:59 PM
After Kylian Mbappe who had to be absent due to injury in the match against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the UCL playoffs, now it's Lionel Messi's turn to be doubtful for that match due to a hamstring injury against Marseille in the Coupe de France yesterday. It seems that this is bad news for all PSG supporters and of course the PSG squad will not appear at full strength against Bayern Munich in the first leg later. Galtier must be very dizzy watching his players get injured one by one and there seems to be no doubt that Bayern Munich's victory in the first leg is in sight.

I did not even know, that Kylian Mbappe will not be able to play in the first leg against Bayern Munich. If it would really turn out to be true, that in addition to Mbappes absence, Lionel Messi would miss that game too, then this definitely would be a pretty big weakening of the Squad of PSG. I mean Paris is famous for their 3 absolute world class players in the offense and if two out of 3 are missing, then it will be pretty hard to compensate. That being said, both Messi and Mbappe are doing literally nothing for the defense, so if others players are playing instead, then i think PSG will at least have a higher chance to not concede a goal.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite MEME COINS? on: February 10, 2023, 01:18:08 PM
I was always a gem seeker, you know how it is with this low mcaps. They are x100, ×1000 or zero.

The question would be what is your favourite coin now? Which meme Coins do you guys invest in now?
Would be very interesting to know your opinion.

Well i think most people started to invest into crypto because of the news about people that literally made hundreds of thousands or in some cases even millions of dollars with a relatively small investment into crypto. I still think that this is possible, but obviously the chances for that are nto as high as they were 5 years ago or so. The earlier you invest into a booming industry the more profit you can make obviously.

Also i would have to say, that for me no meme-coin is a gem. They are all useless shitcoins that have no value and that are not providing any benefit for it's user. They are pure speculation and stupid names. If i had to pick a small cap project now i would look for new projects with a real roadman and a real team and a real purpose.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 09, 2023, 07:12:41 PM
From all indications, the next option for Manchester United would be Victor Osimhen. The board might be looking at Harry Kane considering his experience in the league and his profile as a striker. But Ten Hag would prefer a pure No. 9, which is a striker like Osimhen. Harry Kane often drops to the midfield line in order to aid in the build-up, with Osimhen more as a true number 9.

Weird for me Harry Kane is a prime example of a real number 9. I mean in the football of today almost every striker is also going back to the midfield from time to time if they have the feeling, that they have no connection to the game otherwise. Lewandowski is also doing that basically since the beginning of his career and i think we can all agree that Lewandowski is also a true number 9 and probably the best number 9 in the last years together with Harry Kane. I doubt that nowadays a team wants to have a striker that is just waiting in the box during the whole game. Those times are over. I doubt though that will agree to let Kane go to a direct competitor.

It is still rumored that Steven Gerrard will return to the Premier League as a manager, having previously failed at Aston Villa, he is on the list being considered for the new Leeds United manager, but doubts he will be able to improve Leeds' position as he has also failed to do so at Aston Villa and his experience at Rangers doesn't seem to be enough to make him great in the EPL as a manager.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/21322506/steven-gerrard-leeds-manager-shortlist-sacked-jesse-marsch/

I would be very surprised, if Steven Gerrard would not get at least one or two more chance as a manager of a Premier League club. He was just to good, to important and to popular as a player back then, so i am pretty sure that he still has a lot of credit among the club officials in the premier league. That being said, i am still not sure, if Steven Gerrard really has a lot of talent to become a great manager, because the fact that you were a great player that was coached by great managers during his career does not automatically mean that you are also becoming a great manager. Some players are just not fitted for that role.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors that US SEC would like to ban crypto staking on: February 09, 2023, 11:57:47 AM
Ive just saw this tweet from Brian of Coinbase and its a big fud or a terrible rumor for altcoins. SEC wanted to crucify crypto staking in the US does considering the staking method as security. Of course this is debatable but some investor would feel bad for this news if ever they push through with this path. What can you say about this?

If this would turn out to be true, then this would definitely be a big blow for the crypto space i think. For me (and i think also for a lot of other people that are investing money into cryptocurrency space) cryptos are a chance of financial freedom. It would be a dream, if someday i would have enough funds staked in order to be able to get a significant return each months back in the form of interest. May it be over the native staking that some assets are offering, like Cosmos or Radix or Ethereum. Or through the staking on yield farms where you can stake single assets or LP's. So if that would no longer be possible it would really hurt the market.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 08, 2023, 04:26:53 PM
Leipzig are in very good form. However, Union Berlin and Dortmund teams are not far behind. And let's not forget Bayern Munich are still top of the points table. And the biggest challenge is to dislodge Bayern Munich from the top spot. Bayern Munich were a bit off form. But in the last match they showed a good performance. And if Bayern Munich return to form, no other team can win the title. There are no more regular teams like Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. On the other hand, while Union Berlin, Dortmund and Leipzig are performing well now, I don't think they will be able to maintain such a consistent performance until the end of the season.

If i had to pick the Bundesliga Champion of this season, then i would probably say that with a 80% chance it will be Bayern Munich again, then i would go with a 15% chance for RB Leipzig and only 5% for Borussia Dortmund. For me RB Leipzig is just the way stronger team in comparison with Borussia Dortmund, even though Dortmund has won all 4 games so far in the second half of the season. In 3 of those games Dortmund was very lucky to win in my opinion. Sooner or later that luck will run out and they will lose some points again.
I don't see any realistic Chance, that Union Berlin or SC Freiburg could really become the next Bundesliga Champion.
