561  Economy / Speculation / Re: Enough? on: February 04, 2023, 09:20:41 PM

1 BTC = 1 BTC therefore 0.1 BTC = 0.1 BTC.
The answer to your question regarding if you need to be earning more from your side job is entirely up to you. Were those 0.1 BTC you bought a lot in your local currency? Here in my country, that is a lot to be honest though not enough yet to buy a house.

There is no minimum amount for you to invest in the long-term, OP. I had even day traded waaaaay less than that and I would not even think of buying that amount as a start assuming I do trading these days again.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why most of airdrops don't pay participants with tokens in these days?? on: February 04, 2023, 07:58:13 PM

It is so rare that it is not even worth it when you find one. Would prefer dust rather than useless ones.

It is just another way of projects to gain exposure or collect your data to be sold somewhere else (most likely deep web) and you would not even get anything from that, lol. I agree to the replies I got from some users in here in previous page. Not sure why people still attempt to take a bite on those.
563  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I will never trust top exchanges on: February 04, 2023, 07:50:34 PM
~
Regardless of their "reputation", you can't trust anything or even anyone in the internet with your funds especially when we're talking about exchanges. Whether it is CEX or DEX, I would not trust any exchange to keep my funds safe.

The same goes for those people who keep their private keys in a text file saved in Google Drive or even written in Keep App. Google is also a reputated company right?
564  Economy / Economics / Re: When your passive income equals or slightly above your salary, what would you do on: February 03, 2023, 06:14:18 PM
~
I would kinda disagree with others that are just saying to quit your job. Your job might not be your passion, but you could somehow like it at some point.
If it does not stop you from doing your passions or hobbies, I would keep the job and keep at it on your passive interests.

You could somehow be able to net more profit for your own wants and live a comfortable or even luxurious life, but again considering that it does not strain your usual stuffs daily that you love.
565  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: we always regret once the price go up on: February 03, 2023, 06:08:54 PM
There's an old saying that it's not worth crying over spilled milk, and I think everyone should think that way because everything else doesn't make sense. There are people who, in the very beginning, made some quite normal transactions related to Bitcoin, and today they do not seem very logical because the value of BTC has changed - so that famous pizza was paid as much as 10 000 BTC, which seems incredible from today's perspective.
This is so true in so many levels. It is not just that regretting or crying over something has come to past. It is also that there is no point of overthinking it and it just does not make everything better since the phenomenon already occurred. The only takeaway from those would be the lesson and experience gained.

This is so me when I first bought my Bitcoin and turns out I was wrong about the whole misconception of it being a scam coin or even an illegal coin. I could have bought a lot more than what I hold these days, but nah there is no point of overthinking that anymore.
566  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto YouTubers are all financial advisors on: February 02, 2023, 02:49:02 PM
~
Ah yes, the cringe thumbnails in Youtube like no one has heard of them since 2009. I highly doubt that they gain users purely from the usual sharing of their videos to people, the usual networking stuff, but they probably had used bot. I can recall a lot of Youtubers having a spam bot problems just to gain interaction within their videos and I am pretty sure Youtube hasn't resolved it yet since even gaming channels are experiencing those.

There could even be those bought channels that already had a great sub count so that it could give them a headstart. A little bit of off-topic but I can recall some scammers pretending to be Binance channel and they just play an archived livestream before in order to look legitimate. Turns out it was a bought channel as well.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin now so you don't have to regret it later. on: February 02, 2023, 02:42:04 PM
~
I did also have that same regret back then, but I guess it is just another memory to not be worried about. Anyone recall when it was like $500/BTC? I am pretty sure that not many investors would think of it anyway. In any way, I am okay with not being able to rent a villa in the end. No point of overthinking/regretting on something that you cannot control.

Getting rich through Bitcoin or even being rich itself is not my end goal. Maybe just financially stable and living in a little bit of comfort. Cheesy
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you stacking up on? on: February 02, 2023, 12:32:53 PM
Well since this is an open discussion anyway for their experiences and not really continuous one, I would just share that I am 200% stacking in Bitcoin and yes, the 200% was really intentional considering that I am planning to buy more before the bulls take the tables.

Right now, it is kinda going past of 23.7k, so we got that at least. I don't really care about any alts at the moment since their volatility ain't worth of losses unlike Bitcoin.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: February 02, 2023, 12:30:30 PM
~
Now that you mentioned it also as well. Doge did not even reach $1. It kinda reached half of it back 2021 according to CMC historical data. Considering that SHIBA is like a copy of Dogecoin, I would not even count SHIBA reaching for even half a dollar just like I mentioned previously in here.

Even by hard influences to SHIBA, I highly doubt. It takes surely an unrealistic optimism to have that kind of thing to happen.
570  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: February 01, 2023, 05:43:34 PM
~
Yeah it is a vicious circle and many people are just like falling for it even in basic sense. It is not just loaning in bank actually. It also happens in many individuals that are really desperate to get what they wanted to get and they would do any means to get it and of course, loaning would be one of them.
This is why I do avoid credit cards and debit cards as much as possible.

You know what they say.

571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto YouTubers are all financial advisors on: February 01, 2023, 05:39:28 PM

Oh tell me about it, even in Twitter. Most of the crypto users I read there are purely "eXpErt crYptO adViser" and that is why I stay away from Twitter and Youtube when it comes to crypto. The thing is that it does not work for everyone. You could only advise so much that it is pretty much a common sense in handling your own money properly.

Considering that monetization is a thing and like goose chase for many Youtubers out there, I am not surprised that there are many bad advisors in that platform.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 31, 2023, 08:36:46 PM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?
Don't even bother. A lot of my friends quit their play to earn NFT games after the rug pull of that game. Sure there might be sort of "fun" factor there, but considering that we're talking about earning money in here through NFTs, you might just end up grinding over and over again without having a satisfying result.

Since you also mentioned that you have limited budget, keep it in Bitcoin and if you're really desperate in NFTs, just some parts of your salary in your 9-5 (if you have one) and invest that to whatever NFTs are you planning to invest or purchase.
573  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 31, 2023, 08:32:26 PM
~

Three jobs might not be the play although you mentioned "or". Freelancing along with your usual 9-5 is already stressful and almost take all of your time because the usual rest time you will have will be invested instead to your freelancing work.

I had encountered this kind of stress in my freelancing journey in Upwork. Quite tedious start, but somehow I was able to push through it. If you are in a third world country, it surely works since you will be paid in dollars and that's going to be of a high value if converted your local currency.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: January 31, 2023, 06:45:57 PM
~
I mean what will anyone expect anyway. It is not just that scammers are following these trends like you mentioned (AI and stuffs). There are also just carbon copy of these projects that people are seemingly try to milk out even if they are not intentionally scamming people. Kind of a lazy business.

NFTs arrived and there were low effort NFT images and even a dick picture that sold millions and millions. Like you said in the last sentence, it is all just money race. Outside crypto, there were unsolicited emails back then when people were communicating almost always via email, but now that we got Facebook and Twitter, shit just went through the roof all over the place.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: January 31, 2023, 04:31:54 PM
~
Bruh, that's a lot of decimal places I can see in price and $1 would be like impossible af. Considering its ATH was even around $0.000032, I would not even dream $0.001 at any day.
You could be right that nothing is impossible, but that does not mean that every possibility is realistic enough to be possible.

The project is still good to invest in? You should consider any other coins that are not for memes, OP or........just go with Bitcoin.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who else have my kind of mindset for Bitcoin 2023 on: January 29, 2023, 08:46:28 PM
~
That's the common mindset actually, OP. You hold Bitcoin and forget about it, buy more when the prices allow you to do so or even discuss about your journey here in Bitcointalk forum. "Long-term" is different for everyone, as some might sell at some point due to various reasons of they might need money or so.

It kind of reminds me of myself keeping on refreshing Google result of price of Bitcoin every 5 minutes.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 28, 2023, 10:17:58 PM
~
Ah yes, those usual daily crypto tweets you would come across once you opened your Twitter. People throwing out random numbers in comments section claiming that they know it all. It's all just those kinds of random predictions to gain followers and reputation of course. This is why I stopped following crypto news in my own Twitter account as a lot of people there are "crypto experts", let alone the next "Elon Musk" that influence people to buy crypto.

Same goes for Facebook by the way, but at least some news page are a quite....tolerable.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 28, 2023, 10:11:13 PM
~
Dead == Dead. There is no luck factor nor skills that is needed to profit from those dead coins since they are.....dead. I would not even attempt to try even if whatever coin that was recovered even a little bit nor if its price is near any top 10 coins.

Back on my tokens that I earned in 2018 were all just dead now and even if you attempted to make a cult to invest to that coin, it will never reach a $1. That's just too much of a desperate attempt and a waste of time. Could've invested the time instead to better stuffs. Cheesy
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 28, 2023, 07:19:38 PM
~
No, it's not just that it has that "high pumping" potential. It is because many altcoins out there are cheaper than the topper coins that we got. Don't bother with it if you're going to just hold it since majority of altcoins out there are just going to end up like a shitcoin and you would not like to experience that agony like I experienced before I tried-attempted-failed day trading which was my worst and lowest of the lowest of my experience in crypto.

Just HODL bitcoin. I might have different opinions back in the days, but that was me in the novice learning process.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shiba inu coin, now ranked 13th in cmc on: January 28, 2023, 07:15:11 PM

Yeah and people think that just because an icon of a famous meme became a coin does not mean that investment to it would be good. Quite sad that even amateurs are still falling for these.
I guess that's what being almost 24/7 or 8 hours a day in social media would do to people. Hypes all around then losses all around when the time comes.

Back then I am going to be honest that I was thinking of investing to Doge, but I am pretty sure that it is all just a memes and not really for anything of utility like Bitcoin.
