Well obviously everyone involving themselves to this market surely knows already about the basics of demand and supply and it's not just all about that "unstable" price that most people throw out without any possible reasoning behind it.
Quite curious why some of my friends that specializes in economics doesn't want to get involved in crypto though, lol.
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: January 28, 2022, 08:35:19 PM

Adding it up to what you had mentioned, using custodial wallets that are widely recognized by your country would require you to comply to their KYC requirements especially that they knew that cryptos aren't purely traceable with ownership and only by addresses.
Here in my country, KYC policy is quite strict when it comes to those. It's like Binance that has various levels of verification (email -> POI -> address).

....or even a single satoshi Wink . Maybe someone out there is now considering giving thousands of satoshis as like a prize just like in the OP. Few years forward, everyone would be shocked how much does a single satoshi cost in USD equivalent, lol.
I recall back in the days when I was grinding for sats in faucets attempting to at least get 250k sats, lol.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My second purchase with bitcoin on: January 28, 2022, 04:59:46 PM
~
Well nice to hear that you somehow bought peripherals using crypto, though it is more of an indirect approach like the OP here mentioned which was still back in December. Here in my country, that is somehow what I also do except that I use custodial wallet like Coins PH to pay my bills. It is going to need to be converted to a local currency before being used to pay or buy stuffs.
It's not literally the  BTC payment method due to conversion process, but surely they'll fill the gap of what I meant to say one day.
1545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 27, 2022, 08:15:40 PM

Meh, if I was holding a lot of money. I wouldn't be that bored. There are just those people that are into crypto too much and it is hurting/killing their minds and burning their money. I'd suggest finding other hobbies if boredom becomes an issue with someone that has been into crypto for years.
Market's indeed unpredictable, so why do some people just go all-in an risk their money that they could use for their vacation instead? Cheesy
1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: January 27, 2022, 08:13:00 PM
~
If I only took that "a decade ago" chance to buy one coin, I can't imagine where I am right now, but meh. Seems like I am putting too much attention to price making me slowly regret and slowly try to panic buy lol. .01 BTC is just kind of the monthly of some people here in my country, so meh it's not your "when lambo" moment to think about.
1547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 27, 2022, 06:20:49 PM
~
Kind of wished that I didn't have the misconception on Bitcoin back in those years. I was like a little shit thinking that Bitcoin is some sort of an "illegal" currency only used by hackers and some criminals in the dark web.
If I didn't had that kind of misconception, I could have been owning more than 1 coin for obvious reasons.

I recall you a lot in this board being a strong holder, and I feel happy for you, OP.
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: we can still rely on the bounty.. on: January 27, 2022, 06:16:44 PM

Buddy, you can't just "get confident" with any projects out there. Also that social medias out there especially Facebook is being hounded by scammers spamming all over random crypto pages.
There are even some airdrops there wanting your personal information and you're never gonna want to be "unconsciously" be a victim in one of these identity thefts.
It's not worth risking it.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: January 26, 2022, 07:59:51 PM

From how some sports betting site use crypto as well in their platform, I am not surprised that street football side would start paying their players with crypto primarily Bitcoin. Not even surprised if such physical casinos would consider having Bitcoin in their establishment.
1550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there still opportunity here for lower rank? on: January 26, 2022, 07:55:54 PM

Can't give ya tips for "better project", it's all just DYOR to be honest. For your rank, good thing that you aren't those users where their post history is mainly composed of bounty reports from what I can observe from yours. You'll need to step up on your way of posting and forget about bounties for now.

Loved that glass art you made by the way while I was checking your posting history.
1551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investor Psychology on: January 26, 2022, 03:49:24 PM
It is a common mistake already and it's been happening even outside crypto just like others mentioned. Retail, stock market or whatever you call it. It's hard to risk money these days, just considering some cost of living in some countries. There are more factors aside from what I mentioned. Altcoin or Bitcoin, the same thing applies. Good thing Bitcoin never failed us though, unlike 99% of shitcoins out there, lol.

Nice number by the way.
1552  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello I am novice on: January 26, 2022, 03:45:32 PM

Oh boy, we almost have the same thoughts when we're starting to "know" what Bitcoin is, but for me it was all about illegal coin being used only by people in the dark web. Guess that's going to be a long regret for me to had never bought my first coin.
Anyways welcome aboard OP!
Aside from what was mentioned about rules and stuff, what sort of knowledge in Bitcoin do you want to learn though?
Trading? We got trading discussion board.
Technical stuffs? We got Development & Technical Discussion and Technical Support.
Mining? There's a dedicated board for that.
Just general stuffs about Bitcoin? There's Bitcoin Discussion for that.
I suggest you take a good read around these boards first before posting anything.
1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 25, 2022, 06:34:42 PM
~
This dip? Still Bitcoin. That 35k dip is kind of worth for me to at least get some more even if it isn't a whole coin. If I can remember correctly, we're already back in this price couple of months back in 2021, so it shouldn't be that much lower than the last dip that we got.
I wouldn't invest in any other altcoins regardless.
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: January 25, 2022, 05:10:38 PM
I write apps for a living.  Someone wanted a crypto one done and they paid me in bitcoin. Living the dream.
Congrats, OP! Quite fulfilling to get paid in some other ways.
Welp, I would love to experience the same thing in my freelancing stuff. I signed up to some sites that allows payment through crypto like LaborX, so far I don't get any hits there just yet due to less jobs in my fields, but meh surely opportunity pops up anytime.
1555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tell us about the best altcoin in the current situation. on: January 25, 2022, 05:07:13 PM
I never bought any altcoins this year yet, but some of my colleagues are looking to buy some BNBs along with their NFTs. Maybe give that a research if it would be worth in your end.
Just take my advice with a pinch of salt as what I stated previously that I never bought these coins yet this year.

If you're unsure, Bitcoin's waiting around the corner as always.
1556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull is back? on: January 25, 2022, 06:49:30 AM
~
Meh, it is just those shitcoins getting pumped and I am quite surprised that there are still some coins managing to be up the charts even if Bitcoin was plummeting.
I wouldn't still call this bullish. Too early to tell still.
Let the weeks of whatever you call it (red, bear, dumping), and see what coins will come through after the bearish trend finishes.
1557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your guidance is needed on: January 23, 2022, 08:12:16 PM

Well I stopped trading long time ago and I just stick to doing my usual strategy which is holding. The time scheduling outside crypto isn't going along well nor aligning a little bit with my time here in crypto.
Thanks for the tip regardless, mate! Maybe one day I'll be back in day trading, but who knows in my scheduling right now. Cheesy

1558  Economy / Economics / Re: PEOPLE DURING THE PANDEMIC. on: January 23, 2022, 04:50:36 PM

It truly sucked for everyone, regardless of the industry that they're involved. I adjusted myself to freelance so that I would still be able to earn some income while having to deal with finding some remote jobs outside of it. Although freelancing would already suffice for me, there are cons that I still think about when it comes to that as clients wouldn't always contact me when there are no jobs to be done. Everyone is stuck to just adjusting their own source of income.

It will be hella worth it in the end though.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: January 23, 2022, 04:43:16 PM

Good thing I wasn't the only one noticing these stuffs all over again after those CheckShit project quite couple months back. Now I see these coins are being shilled a lot in this board though to be honest I had day traded ADA before, but maybe it is just bad right now? I never bought it since the day I quit.

For sure, buying Bitcoin right now is a good option although we had seen this price dip long time ago and people should have bought that day also.
1560  Other / Meta / Re: Price of bitcoin on bitcointalk on: January 22, 2022, 12:29:30 PM
Dunno what happened to the last thread that had my reply as it just disappeared but I would just re echo that I usually use Chrome Extension like Bitcoin price ticker and it would just pop-up in the right corner of my browser beside the address bar after I pin it. Even outside the forum, you could still the price of Bitcoin.
It uses the CoinDesk API if you're curious by the way.

It looks like this:
