^^^Thank you.  Well I have tested the waters in the past with very small amounts with some success but that's as far as it went.  At this point I have neither Monero nor bitcoin on any exchanges.  I do use btc but I should start using XMR.TO when doing so.

583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 27, 2016, 04:49:59 PM
Although I don't make comments like cheap coins or to the moon I'm still here.  Been here through both periods of 0.001  I don't know about my buddy explorer, haven't seen his node up lately.  I have been very busy at work for many days but today is slow.  Slow enough to play poker on the intertubes with a cat on my lap.

# of Moneroj sold = 0
# of Moneroj acquired = relatively small amount

Time for a bite to eat and do a little work  Smiley

Edit: I just realized the ambiguous time frame.
Sold = this year
Acquired = on this most recent downturn

I bought this year on the way up in the 100s and 200s with some thought of selling higher but I don't seem to have learned how to do that.  I also bought a little in the 300s with some leftover earmarked btc.  Acquired and bought are two different words.

ShapeShift is back but as of now only between btc and eth

When the fuck exactly did they say X krill will guarantee a krillroll of X value for the rest of eternity?

In the post announcing the krillrolls:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=962440.msg11755609#msg11755609

and the followup post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=962440.msg11755712#msg11755712

The "these are now weekly/monthly/bi-monthly and tri-monthly" and "This is a regular thing now" is saying that these are permanent additions to the schedule.  In addition, the fact that they didn't include a disclaimer like "these are only for (time period), management reserves the right to make changes" like they did every week with the krill leaderboard shows the intent of long-term rewards, as does management's urging of players to get their krill up so that they can play these events "in the future".

Teacher: Please use "now" in a sentence.

What is the price of that sandwich now? What is the temperature now?  How old are you now?  What are the traffic conditions now?  What is the value of the promotion now?

Hey Dark Cloud, there is no poker site that has not changed their promotions.  This is a small change by SwC.  I have been fucked over by changes that other poker sites have done.

BTW this was on windows64 8.1

Looks like you have a virus.

Winblows 8.1 !

Yes winblows because that's what the poker sites run on.  At least I haven't "upraded" to windows 10 despite their constant spamming.  I am planning to get an additional computer for other things.
587  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2016, 08:05:17 PM
I was told that despite the title of this thread it also serves as the block observer thread.

For whatever reason it currently looks like a full block day.

Let's see if my transaction that I just sent which included a fee high enough too be rated "high priority" will be included in the next block.  Yes I actually have a use for btc and use it on a regular basis.

While I was typing this, a new block was found the size of which was 0.9982 MB  Shocked and I am happy to report that my "high priority" transaction, fee of 0.000113, was included in that block Smiley

I am running 0.9.4 and every couple of days I get the following error message(s).  Yellow letters with an red background.  Once they start they come in quick succession and are continual.  When it happens I just exit and restart.

For the record, SWC Poker is not the same as the old Seals With Clubs. Micon is not (and has never been) involved with SWC Poker, and it's not run by the same people who ran Seals With Clubs. The original Seals With Clubs was shut down a long time ago, and there is no plan to resurrect it. However, SWC Poker has a listing of old Seals accounts, and if you e-mail support@swcpoker.eu, they will transfer your old account name and krill over to the new site if there was an e-mail address associated with your Seals With Clubs account.

Sure, I could email them.  But since I have no way of logging into the "new site" (from what I can tell, you can't do anything on the new site at all except read the blogs and the news posts), and since I have no way of running the software, I haven't done anything at all.

If you have btc on SwC I could recover your account and send the btc to you at no charge.  It would be worth the effort to be able to put an end to your lamenting. Grin  That is as long as it is OK with SwC.  I still play there whenever I find a game that suits me.

There are many fiat/btc gateways and even a fiat/eth gateway in Kraken.  So why would a fiat/xmr gateway be impossible long term?
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 14, 2016, 10:30:35 PM
Shapeshift alternative https://changelly.com

Working great for monero

"Changelly is presented to you by MinerGate."

No thank you.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 14, 2016, 02:29:30 PM
I feel your frustration man I really do. I means it a fucking GUI wallet right? Every fucking shit coin from here to China has one at launch yet here we are waiting months for one and this waiting game sucks.

Reading Monero threads is starting to become the movie Groundhog's Day.

Maybe but there is no way this thread can compete with the true Goundhog's Day thread that is Adam's "Wall Observer" thread  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Anybody want to speculate what the price will be when ShapeShift is once again available?

Higher than it is now if I am able to buy more before you do. Wink

Be my guest Smiley

It went down 2% from when I posted that I thought it was going down a little and that is all I expected very short term and would now buy if I could.  One day at a time, the noise that will one day be music. Wink
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 13, 2016, 09:29:13 PM
Well I finally received my btc which I had earmarked for Monero Smiley  I check the charts and figure maybe I can get it a bit lower but am undecided.  I check to see what the price on ShapeShift is and see that they are still down Tongue

"Soon" I will get me a wee bit more Moneroj  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Anybody want to speculate what the price will be when ShapeShift is once again available?
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 12, 2016, 05:05:22 PM
It seems that Bittrex will soon be implementing KYC policies.  Because of this I will no longer be using them and have withdrawn whatever I had there.

The one source of btc that is earmarked for Monero is better suited to be used with Shapeshift which I have recently been doing and will continue to do.  That is the btc I have been waiting for and today the answer I got was "soon"  Grin Grin Grin  I have no doubt it will get here and what the delay is losing me in btc I am more than gaining in Monero.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: April 11, 2016, 05:23:22 PM
does the coin update still??

I am unsure of your exact question.

There was one major update at the beginning of the year as well as 3 minor ones since then.  There was also a recent hardfork.  This was the first hardfork and they are scheduled every 6 months going forward.

Yes the development is ongoing with many improvements currently being worked on.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 11, 2016, 04:58:43 PM
No it's if you have 1 btc it becomes half a btc which is the reason they have to pump the price up Grin Grin

Actually it's the block reward which will be cut in half from 25 to 12.5.  This happens every 4 years(?) and will be the second time this has happened.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 11, 2016, 03:26:52 PM
Surprise, now the incompetent fools cannot process my btc transaction till maybe tomorrow. Grin  This all should have been done almost 2 weeks ago Tongue

Who would like to speculate when I will actually receive it and what the price of Monero will be at that time Huh
