Oh ya! Another multi bet win (unless the Knicks blow their lead in the 4th, but it’s pretty big). Granted the odds weren’t exactly going to retire anyone anytime soon, but a win is a win. Hope everyone had a great day of gambling on NBA basketball. Tomorrow I might have to switch up sports.

we ded?

Just setting the bear trap. Gotta let the shorts get comfortable enough to double down. I wouldn’t be shocked if this went all the way down to $50K, but the real fireworks are still months out. I suspect by Halloween this will look like a buying opportunity.

Poor again.

oh well.

Dinner....

It’s over. Seriously though, it’s funny the way human behavior works. I too am sad seeing this drop and it feels like the end of the world. However, it’s important to remember that we just dropped 4 days worth of gains. That’s basically nothing. We’ll see where it goes from here, but I don’t think we’ve come close to the high of this cycle yet.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 14, 2024, 07:25:58 PM
How about the games between the Bulls and the Pacers, DeRozan put up a massive 45 points in a win in OT against the home team Pacers. I thought that the Pacers are going to win without going into OT, but DeRozan mid range shot proved to be still his best weapon, him and Kawhi I would consider has put that as their main weapons, and no one can stop it with their fade away shots.

However, I'm not a hater of Bulls, but there are games that they are inconsistent that's why I stay away from betting on them. But congrats to those who have ride on them on this big win against the Pacers.

I haven't watched my Chicago Bulls real closely all year, but last night I was tuned in from begging to the end, and it sure disappoint, which is normally what happens with my Chicago bulls.

DeRozan is one heck of a player, and honestly I'm wondering why he's still on the Bulls.  I of course love him and having a great player like him on the team, but they suck, and aren't anywhere near competing for anything meaningful, I just don't understand why he wasn't traded.  Anyways, great OT shot, what a player.

DeRozan is a great player, but he's in the wrong era.  His strength seems to be midrange game and he's not the most skilled player at getting open shots.  I once saw a stat that showed DeRozan takes a higher percentage of shots with close coverage from the defender than any other player in the NBA.  That shows me he either needs teammates that can spread the floor and get him open, he takes bad shots, or he struggles getting open either by moving away from the ball or using dribbling skills to get to his spot.  In the 80s he would have dominated probably.  Today, his game just isn't fit for what works in the NBA.  That's why I think Toronto had to get rid of him to win a championship.  He's a hell of a player, but his style isn't efficient enough at getting points to help his team win.
605  Other / Meta / Re: Should speculation about satoshi's identity be subject to doxxing rules? on: March 14, 2024, 07:09:50 PM
I would be the perfect example.
Sorry, I'm not following the Vod - OgNasty forum drama. I had once tried to read it, but I was just lost after a couple of minutes. So, yeah. Any other examples?

I'll paraphrase.  I was doxxed by a user.  Merit sources merited that user's post doxxing me.  Now I'm being extorted by that user and default trust members are including him in their trust networks.

Is that simple enough for you to follow?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think merit sources and default trust members should be meriting doxxing posts and including extortionists in their trust networks.  I get that's a hot take though.  I can see why you'd want another example.  That's super hard to follow.  Roll Eyes

What you mean to ask is can I provide an example that doesn't implicate the largest merit sources and most included default trust members in very clear wrongdoing.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready to adopt the BTC program for your company? on: March 14, 2024, 06:40:41 PM
I'll never forget how I got a chance to sit down with the CEO of Xerox Ursula Burns to discuss an idea I had to cut costs and build a new line of business.  Bitcoin was at $2 and I was urging her to buy half a million BTC and empower me to launch a program to move our international transfers to the blockchain.  It would have paid for itself in the first month and would likely have set Xerox on a path to be one of the world's most valuable companies and leader in blockchain technology.  Why didn't she follow through with my plan and give me the opportunity?  She was dismissive because her next meeting was with Barack Obama to receive an award for being a black female CEO.  True story.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 14, 2024, 06:06:56 PM
Nothing too crazy today.  Let's see if we can get a win.  I feel like the Bucks are a lock to beat the 76ers and the Knicks/Rockets/Clippers should all be easy wins as well, but you never know.  The Wizards have managed to win a few as of late and the Clippers have been dropping a few here and there.  A safer pick might be just the Knicks and Bucks to win, but those odds aren't worth the gamble.

Chicago Bulls - Los Angeles Clippers
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Los Angeles Clippers

Milwaukee Bucks - Philadelphia 76ers
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Milwaukee Bucks

Houston Rockets - Washington Wizards
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Houston Rockets

Portland Trail Blazers - New York Knicks

608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Updates from the COPA v Craig Wright trial on: March 14, 2024, 05:41:23 PM
Good news.
Won't really stop people from falling for the BSV thing, but still helps those who were / are fighting against it.

Also, should allow a lot of people who were scammed or harassed or otherwise forced to deal with the CSW crap to get some measure of relief, possibly....

-Dave

I think it could make a difference on the BSV chain too. Ultimately his goal was to convince people he was satoshi to get his community to let him unlock satoshi’s coins for himself. Now that he’s been proven to not be satoshi, I don’t think anyone will go along with his plan and use a chain reorganized to give him those coins. In other words, the jig is up.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Online Casinos Publish Their Bankroll? Your Thoughts? on: March 14, 2024, 05:38:11 PM
On one hand it is their money and if they are privately owned it is nobody’s business. However, gamblers should be entitled to know their deposits are accounted for and that there is money to be won. Not to mention Bitcoin makes it possible to do easily, so it makes a lot of sense for casinos to prove a portion of their reserves on the blockchain.
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 14, 2024, 05:27:36 PM
He should be forced to change his name to Craig Wrong after all this faff.

Now I need to create one with Craig Wrong in prison stripes or an orange jumpsuit.

I wonder if the written judgment will lead to criminal charges for perjury, forgery, uttering, etc.

Counsel for COPA warned about that, and asked for evidence that could be possibly incriminating for perjury and related charges to be forwarded to criminal prosecution. What the prosecutor will do with that is unknown, but the prerequisites are all in place.

It’s safe to say this didn’t play out the way he thought it would. Imagine being the only person on earth who cannot say they are satoshi. So much money and time lost while not a single satoshi ever got unlocked for him on any chain. Absolutely hilarious. I’ll admit he had a good plan, but it failed miserably in execution.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 14, 2024, 08:36:55 AM
As for McGregor, I don't think I'll watch that show but I hear he's getting very good reviews for his acting. If that's true, there's a chance he would want to focus on that and give up fighting completely. We all know he's more likely to lose to whoever he would be fighting and possibly would retire straight after. So, from his perspective, it might not be worth it, as there's a risk many fans will turn away from him if he performs poorly. It makes much more sense just to keep his hype up with other activities, such as acting.

In his most recent interview McGregor looked pretty bad. He was seemingly high on drugs and looked like he hasn’t been training but instead going on benders. I’m starting to think that he’ll never fight again. After seeing his condition, I’m pretty sure he’ll never win another UFC fight whether he fights or not.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 13, 2024, 11:16:24 PM
I know plenty of sports fans that always bet on their team. I think it’s pretty normal behavior. Sure, you might not win very often, but when you do win and the joy of your team winning is combined with the excitement of beating the odds and making a bag, it’s all suddenly worth it. I actually love this type of gambler.
613  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz .999 FINE SILVER "LITECOIN" BINARY ROUNDS (2018) on: March 13, 2024, 10:42:49 PM
Just saw this, you would not still be happening to run the deal from March 11th would you, OG? Definitely interested in these beautiful works of art.

The deal is over but I’m happy to make an exception for you. Ask and you shall receive as they say. Shoot me a PM with what you want (include your shipping info and what currency you want to pay with too so you don’t run out of PMs) and I’ll let you know where to send coins.

Back to normal pricing now.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: March 13, 2024, 09:13:10 PM
Ryan Garcia’s podcast appearance with Bobbi Altoff on the Pretty Good Podcast was one of the most cringe things I’ve ever seen. He seems like he is a little off. I don’t know how his mental issues will translate into the ring, but I stick with the opinion that you would have to be crazy to bet on him given his current mental state.
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 13, 2024, 09:06:19 PM
40 days in the books for me since starting this challenge. That’s 4,000 push-ups! I’m glad to see Bitcoin rallying so hard with the hope that we will soon be able to declare victory over this challenge. With a little luck we’ll get there before the halving so we can all get some much needed rest for our muscles.
That means you already started the process before bringing it here. If I may ask, how did you come by this idea? I'm asking because I find it interesting that you were actually thinking of ways of adding value to the bitcoin community.

I posted the video of the guy who I think started the challenge. We were discussing it in the WO thread before I started it here. That’s why some of us were already doing it prior to this thread.

I’ve been trying to think of ways to add value to this community for a dozen years, but I would cry legitimate tears if this thread was what people remembered as my contribution here. Still, thanks for the kind words and recognition of my attempt to provide value.

616  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Do you have the SKILL to WIN the Bitcoin in this LOADED canvas? =D on: March 13, 2024, 08:53:15 PM
This looks pretty cool. Kudos for thinking up a fun idea and actually executing it. I’m not sure how I missed this when it was originally announced but am glad I’m seeing it now. Good luck to everyone!
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 13, 2024, 08:49:49 PM
I don’t know why you would ever even want to do this. The risk of loosing everything can’t be worth the reward of having double. At least not to me. I almost would bet that he had some other circumstances going on. Maybe a pending inheritance or hidden crypto to fall back on. I can’t believe he would take this risk otherwise.
618  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 13, 2024, 08:45:06 PM
It’s being reported that Michael Saylor is raising another $500,000,000 to buy BTC! This guy is crazy and not going to let this rally stop anytime soon. As much as I hate trading, I think not buying long dated Microstrategy call options at the bottom of this cycle will forever be missing out on the easiest trade to get rich of all time.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 13, 2024, 06:46:27 PM
We are getting closer to the end of the season and there are two main reasons why players end up closing the season out. First of all, when you get injured and you can reach for the last 5 games, just sit those out too and relax, why rush these players back, there is no reason why they need to be back.

If you are a playoff team and you could get them then maybe you could and that may look better, but at the time Houston is not, Atlanta is not neither so they could just rest their players. Secondly, the fatigue plays a big role, a lot of players already played so many games, and so many minutes and if they didn2t get any rest in the middle from some small injury for example, then their body may not handle the load.

I don't think teams will be allowed to sit their star players at the end of the season like they typically do with the new rest rules.  I'm sure some teams will be getting fined.  You know the Clippers will be up there.  Maybe the Lakers as well...

The biggest surprise left for me is how the Philadelphia 76ers are going to end the season.  Will Embiid come back in time to save them?  Also, will KAT come back in time to help Minnesota in the playoffs or will his injury be worse than is currently expected?  There's even the question of whether we'll get the typical Lakers or the in-season tournament Lakers.  Not to mention if the Suns will get healthy.

How about we first fix double standards and make permanent ban for members who made multiple threats to other members, and even reported other members to government officials with fake claims  Tongue

Indeed.  I also had my information posted here with links to local law enforcement as well as homeland security and the IRS urging members here to report me for made up crimes.  The user who did it didn't even get suspended for doing so.  That's pretty crazy.  Especially when I got suspended for alluding to punching another member in the face for spreading lies about me.  How ridiculous is that?  People here can do everything in their power to spread lies about you, dox you, get your arrested, ruin your reputation, try to have others report you for fake crimes to law enforcement and if you even allege that you would punch someone for spreading these lies about you, you get suspended...  In other words, you can illegally commit libel all day here, but if you exercise legal free speech against the protected class you get suspended.  Ridiculous.
