661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the last 5 years compare to now on: October 27, 2023, 01:35:29 AM
Well, it's nice to see how Bitcoin has changed in the last 5 years.back in 2017 Bitcoin was around $4000,  and there a lot of speculation if it will be a good ideal of investment.  With the pass years we have seen the up and down with price of Bitcoin nearly $69,000 @ November 2021, the price today of Bitcoin is around $21,000, which is a big huge change from the past few years. Bitcoin have a positive  value, it can also used as and asset.  In the past five years has been a huge growth, however institution that held Bitcoin and investment on it like Tesla , having a amount of Bitcoin on their account. This has brought a huge profit. The way Bitcoin is been used by large and small companies and organizations. Do you think this will continue in the coming years?
Just for the record, the price right now is almost $34k not $21k,

Not sure if you have been here in 2017, but yeah, it was a very good time back then, not just Bitcoin but even altcoin market back then are booming with their ICO. Regarding your question of institutional money flowing in the market, yeah why not? You don't need to worry about those institutions though, as retail investors just like you and me are very important on the market. We are the one going to push for the price in the next bull run. So the question is, are you ready? have you accumulate enough to make profits? If not then you still have months to save and buy Bitcoin.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF Discussion on: October 26, 2023, 10:18:19 AM
It is very interesting that Blackrock ETF, which was on DTCC's site since August, suddenly caused so much speculation yesterday and then was taken off the site. What do you guys think? Is an ETF coming soon? How come no one took notice of DTCC's site until yesterday?

https://www.coinfeeds.io/daily-trending-news/clarifying-blackrock-bitcoin-etf-speculation
Yeah, it is very uncanny for them to removed the ticker when someone notice it on their website. So it could be that they just made a big and honest mistakes on their end, or they wanted to see the pulse of the crypto world and see what will be the reaction. And so obviously, it created a lot of noise and pushes the price to $35k. And the good thing is that even after they have taken it down, the prices keeps on that price range.

As for the ETF coming soon, yeah, the pressure is now on SEC to approved it. There are big guys playing on the market right now, too influential that the SEC can't really do anything about it but to approved it. And most likely it will coincide with the bull run in the next year.
663  Economy / Speculation / Re: 127% Up from Bottom in 2022 on: October 26, 2023, 10:00:18 AM
I almost forgot how long it's been since the bottom was reached until I came across this thread title Smiley Thank you for the upbeat and positive reminder. The painful "prediction" for me this year & 2024 though is if whether that was the bottom of this whole cycle because all other cycle bottoms drop to around 15% of ATH... while this one was above 20%. Are we seeing another big dump first before new bull? Is it something to affect how we hold? Smiley
Lol, it seems that you have a short memory, but for us it is still fresh from November last year as we have to endure the FTX collapse news and how it put a dent on the market. But looking it, sometimes it's better to see that happening in our market. I mean, we don't pray that we see black swan event like this one. But it shakes the market and what's let is those investors who what we wall the diamond hand.

I'm not sure if we will see a big dump though, I mean it's almost the end of the year now and investors are looking for the block halving next year. So we might see pre-halving at $50k. So as others said, just continue to accumulate and see how it goes in the next bull run for us.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a Top-down or Bottom-up bettor? on: October 26, 2023, 09:36:03 AM
Might be better if the OP put up a poll so that we will know how many of us are using this kind of methods.

But I guess like the rest of us, bottom-up betting method. I mean for example in sports betting, we only play or bet on the games that we are more familiar with. Like basketball for example, it's one of the most well known sports here in our community and we have a lot of members who bet on that game (including myself). And if you look at the tips, it's almost that it is based solely on their analysis and not on someone tips or something. Maybe there are a few here who find some reliable tipster and follow them, it might not be a good idea though as that tipster might encounter some losing streak or be on a negative for a certain sports.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Used Our Wedding Savings to Play Bet on: October 26, 2023, 08:25:27 AM
Yes, this is another sad story with regards to gambling and it's consequences especially if you don't have total control of your emotions. So imagine the burden of the lady here, as he put more than half of it for their once in a lifetime wedding that they will not forget as this is a very special day, thus he fiancee just play their money and obviously lost almost everyone.

Hard to give her advise, maybe the man is not meant to be for her. And maybe look for other guy and reset everything. But the emotional damage that has put a toll on her and the guy. I don't want to be in her shoe right now. But I guess she has to make that important decision in her life, whether to stay with that man, or broke the relationship and start all over again.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2023, 05:22:14 AM
Speaking of the best players in the league. Shams Charania is reporting that the 2024 NBA All Star game will return to the East vs West format. I think this is important for the future of the All Star game if they want to start tying finals incentives like home court advantage to the outcome of the All Star games to up competitiveness.
Good at least we are back from the old pattern because when they introduce some changes, fans didn't like it at all. Back to the games, San Antonio Spurs almost put a upset win against the Mavs. And everyone is very eager to see Wemby's first official NBA games and fans are not disappointed. He put up a show, but then again, it's the experience really that lacks with this young Spurs team.

And Luka is dialed in this game and will not allow the Mavs to lost against the Spurs. That step back three, is the dagger. But I'm impressed with their rookie acquisition in Lively. That's supposed how Wood should play when he was still with the Dallas.
667  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First bull run - how to not sell too early? on: October 25, 2023, 12:17:10 PM
Next year will hopefully be the start of the bull run and it will be first for me so just wondering if anyone has any advice/tips on how avoid the temptation and not sell too early?

All I have experienced so far in Crypto is bear market and with the market showing good signs over the last few days its made me realize that I am not used to the good times and I want to have a plan in place for when the bull run returns.

Even after the good few days recently my portfolio is still down 17% overall and at the worst I think it was 50% down so just getting back to break even will feel big for me but need to remember I am in this to do a lot better then break even.

Any advice or individual plan when it comes to selling in bull run?
Well just wait for it, I mean in 2017 Bull run, the ATH was December, and in the last bull run, is was November. So somewhere along that month, maybe in 2025, we will see a new all time high. Maybe it's 6 digit so who knows.

So I guess with that, just continue to HODL and mentally tough not to sell early. The best time to sell would be November-December in my opinion.

And I remember on the last bull run, it hits $50k+ and everyone says that it's the all time high already. But it continue to grow, just saying. Or if you wanted to, then sell some if you need to and not wait and time the market for the new all time high.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 25, 2023, 11:09:34 AM
First half ain’t looking so good for the Lakers. This is especially bad because in Denver opposing teams get tired fast so the Lakers have an uphill battle ahead of them. I think Anthony Davis is looking great on defense and LeBron looks pretty good, the rest of the team doesn’t seem to be playing very smart on offense though.

Too bad for the Lakers as they just being handed with another L against the Nuggets for 6 consecutive games, including the sweep in the playoffs. They had a strong early first quarter closing the gap to just 3 with the 13-0 run, but wasn't quite able to maintain the same level of energy when the Nuggets rallied back. It could have resulted in a different outcome if AD did not magically disappeared in the 2nd half. The guy did not score a single point.
LeBron still looking sharp, I though he could still play for another 2-3 years.

It's crazy how the Nuggets just refuse to lose on their home court, and their chemistry is on point again. They're still the team to beat, even though they're an underrated champion. And can we talk about Jokic? He's out there starting the season with a triple-double: 13 rebounds, 11 assists, and 29 points. What an MVP performance!

It's scary to see that Jokic still have that kind of ability to continue and dominate and have his first triple double in their first game against the Lakers. LA did everything they can, but the Nuggets simply refuse to lose this ball game in front of their fans. Jokic dominated the paint against Davis. I like how Gordon though take advantage of his size against Austin Reaves and taking him inside. And when everyone is healthy, they are really hard to beat specially in their homecourt.

They established that double digit in the first quarter and even if the Lakers try to make a comeback, the Nuggets will answer back. But in the 4th, a 3 by Murray and Porter Jr, seal the win for the Nuggets.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: October 25, 2023, 10:20:44 AM
Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? Many here will feel that this is waste of time and will also not let them enjoy the game peacefully. Do you also have same mentality?
No, doesn't make sense for a gambler to record of the winnings and losses. It's not that it's a waste of time, it's not it will not bring anything to the gambler. What benefits? you will cry over your loses? Or see how much you win at that time period and the next week you lose everything? And if you are playing online, there is a record already, you can go back and see it. But for me, I also don't practice that.

So just enjoy your gambling activity whether online or offline, and just play the money that you can afford to lose and everything will be good on your end. And probably this is one area that we really don't need any data to see if we are doing good or not.
670  Other / Archival / Re: CEO of Stake.com (Eddie Craven) Found Decapitated In Home on: October 25, 2023, 10:04:32 AM
Yeah, it's been going for a while know, even personalities like Putin, who was reported dead because of heart attack. And then Denzel Washington followed by Robert Downey Jr. So we shouldn't take everything seriously of news of someone famous being dead. We need to verify it first because there's a lot of social media around us. And those people are using this kind of news for clout, clicks and others to make money. It's just sad that they have to involved the CEO of Stake.com here. However, it is not true obviously. And I will say that we should refrain from this kind of posting in my opinion as this is very bad.
671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may not hit $24,750 again in 2023 - I'm bullish till 2024 on: October 25, 2023, 09:48:54 AM
Let's hope what @OP hopes for happens. If it survives until next year, we should feel happy because Bitcoin could have a chance to rise again next year. But there is no guarantee that the price can remain at the current level because today's correction caused Bitcoin to experience a decline of several hundred dollars.

We also need to find out how long this correction will last, especially since we are only in the middle of the week. Usually, a correction will come at the weekend so we can get ready to buy more.

But no matter what happens in the market, if the price has yet to reach above $50k, it is still a good price to buy Bitcoin. I'm still waiting for a while to see where the Bitcoin price moves to know when I can buy.
I don't see any correction though, on the other hand, the bullish momentum continues to $35k. I guess even if there is fake news that push the market, it seems that investors are not going to sell right now. So as we break the $35k barrier, we will be looking on the next target which is $38k. If we did break it this month or at least November, then possible that we might reach $50k at the end of the year.

And this is what the OP has seeing based on his charts, we have a break out Fibonacci and it could linger till the end of the year. Although he said that $35,865, the highest we go so far is $35,150 which is very close to his prediction.

Please delete my account, the button doesn't want to work.
You can't as others have pointed out.

Maybe the best you can do is change your email address, then after that you'll receive a link to lock the account.

Or you send message to the admin that you wanted your account to be deleted. But not sure if they will respond to that request.
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF/Bitcoin will destroy the (new) cryptocurrency industry soon... on: October 24, 2023, 02:03:49 AM
Not sure what this youtube wanted to convey, but this is pure speculation and perhaps FUD. I don't think that anyone can destroy cryptocurrency as a whole. If it will fail, then we won't see the sudden and massive explosion in Bitcoin.

So yeah, this is pure non-sense, perhaps just wanted to promote this video here and got views. But for crypto enthusiast, we've seen wars already and then the pandemic, and it didn't have any significant effect on crypto market itself. And I guess that's make at least for Bitcoin to become more stronger is that it has 4 year cycle, based on bitcoin halving. So there is a sense of balance, as we have bear and bull cycle.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2023, 01:19:03 AM
Just one more sleep until NBA basketball kicks off. I think with the Damian Lillard trade the Bucks became the team to beat in the East and I think the pickup of Bradley Beal makes the Suns the team to beat in the West. I think the Warriors will have another good year along with the Celtics and Nuggets, but I think the Bucks take home the crown this year.
Yes, and so the games are:

Nuggets vs the Lakers - going to be a great game for sure. We all know that this two has been building rivalries, specially that they have face off during the West finals. And there has been a lot of trash talking ever since.

Warriors vs the Suns - we are going to see CP3 against his former team, sure they could be a lot hugs before the game, but it's going to be competitive. Also Durant, who says that he is looking for the game because he was a former Warrior and he knows that he still has some fans in that city.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: October 24, 2023, 12:58:00 AM
More likely this is just to show off and he wanted to be recognized as one of the big bettors on their country and surely he will influence others because they will gonna think that it's okay to gamble because even the billionaires in their country are doing it. surely it will lead to other addictions and might gonna cause some troubles in their life because if they follow such a man who is a billionaire and they are just common folks who don't have much money, they might end up in debt because they might fall into addiction.
Yes, that is very obvious that this socialite just wanted to show off his big bet and try to proclaim that he has so much money right now that he can afford to lose or make that huge bet as if he is just enjoying his life right now. However, I will caution ordinary folks not to copy this guy and big bet as well. As I have said, with his money, he can do whatever he wants with it, including gambling.

But for us, when we see this big and think of copying his bet to the point that we almost guarantee that this could be a win and put large sums of money. But if the bet didn't go for sure it will hurt us more than the billionaire guy himself. So very careful and not replicate in terms of bet this individuals that are flaunting their money in the gambling world, including streamers.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 23, 2023, 11:50:21 PM
I came across a very interesting article about fake streamers https://www.ltccasino.com/fake-streamers-exposed

Some facts and arguments struck me as very curious. I had never really thought about why nowadays the Twitch and Kick platforms have become so full of people streaming online casinos there.

Having little experience playing at online casinos, I can't be sure that everything written in this article is true. What do you think about it?

It's very interesting to hear the opinion of experienced players and people who are versed in this subject.
This is not new though, I mean it's very obvious that if you are in the gambling world, you will understand where this streamers are coming from.

1. Either the money they played are from the casino itself, we didn't see their bank accounts or depositing a money to the casino.
2. Fake money
3. They are using just a demo account

Why are they popular despite this? It's because people wanted to witnessed something big gonna happen to him. Most likely for gamblers they want to get that experience to let's say for Rothstein (mentioned in the article), betting on his favorite number of 14 and hitting it big. So if you are a gambler who play slots and one of your favorite number is 14 as well, then you can related to that kind of feeling seeing that ball hitting "your" number.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: October 21, 2023, 04:08:17 AM
And as per Shakur, he said that maybe Delos Santos is a harder boxer to fight as compare to Frank Martin. Maybe he is just saying this to hype the fight and try to just annoyed Martin as he was supposedly the original fighter that Stevenson was to fight, agreed in verbally and then in the last minute doesn't want to and duck Shakur.

So we will see, we still have a month to go before this fight happens. For now Shakur is the outstanding favourite. But we can only hope that Delos Santos is a tough fighter that will give Stevenson a good test.

That's what he should be saying if he wants to hype up this fight, you know? He knows he's not up against a big-name opponent, so convincing fans to tune in can be tough. But if he starts making some noise and claims his opponent is worthy, that could get people interested. Shakur is the clear favorite according to the bookies; it seems like a one-sided match, and they predict an easy win for him. So, for the regular fans, they might think this fight won't be as exciting as advertised. That's where promotions come in – more trash talk and hype might be just what this fight needs to succeed, I guess.
No big-name opponent because he can't get one, everyone is ducking him and so only De los Santos was willing maybe because he is not a American fighter. And this is why he is dangerous and Stevenson knows it.

I might be seeing another Crawford vs Spence fight. Shakur likes to play like Crawford, while for me De los Santos fights like Spence. So it's a copy fight and we all know how it ended. De los Santos is a good boxer with power, but Shakur will figure it out how to beat him, and uses his boxing IQ. So maybe it's going to be +7.5 rounds, with Shakur winning by KO/TKO. But still though, this is a great fight and we will see Shakurs skills and technique.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2023, 03:46:37 AM
The Lakers and the Suns facing off was a cool game to watch. Both teams seemed to lack something. The Suns in particular seemed to have guys out there on the floor that shouldn’t be playing in an NBA game. I thought Nurkic looked good but some of the Suns smaller defenders looked lost out there when facing up against bigger players like LeBron.

As I see it, the main point of preseason games is to get the main players of the teams warmed up before the regular season and also to give the bench players some playing time on the court. That way, the bench players have some opportunity to prove themselves, while the coaches can decide who should play in the NBA and who shouldn't.

I hope so. The less Grayson Allen I see on the court the better. He has no business being in the NBA with his dirty play style and I hate seeing him on my home team.

Just a few more days until the season kicks off now. I can tell you that I will for sure be spending Tuesday night watching the guys on TNT kick off another year of NBA basketball.

I know back in his college days at Duke he was.  Watched plenty of his games and wasn't fond of his style.  Surprised actually coach k pit up with it.  Since he has been buried on the Bucks I really haven't been following.  But is he really still that dirty of a player I thought he cleaned a lot of that up.  He is decent for 15 minutes off the bench as an 8 or 9 guy off the bench.
Well he was under the radar as a dirty fighter, in the NBA. And he was a good contributor as a defense player and even some games wherein his offense was displayed. However, that shot he gave to Caruso started everything for Grayson Allen. Caruso was out for more than two months if I'm not mistaken with a broken risk. And then after that, he goes on another Bulls player months after, in DeRozan.

For his college days, not sure though, but isn't he was caught tripping players not once? So yeah, he has a history already and most likely that's why the Bucks wanted to get rid of him despite what he can bring to the defense.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: October 20, 2023, 12:08:01 PM
Still months before the fight though, although there are odds already, but I still wanted to see the crypto betting sites that we are more familiar with. And perhaps just a ML will be suffice for us. Although there could be lots of betting options for those who wanted to risk more to win big. But if the odds are like 1.8x, good enough for a ML bet, in my opinion.

The odds we are seeing are just predicted odds; they do not exist yet in the sportsbook. So, we can only verify if that is true once the odds are released. Yes, it's quite early, but some popular matches have early odds, while this one doesn't. So, it's safe to say it's not a popular fight despite being a championship fight.
Yes, and that's what I'm trying to say, we can only speculate as what are the odds in this fight as the fight is still a month to go. And seldom we see crypto sports bookies releasing or listing the odds are early unless it's a fight that is hype or well known, so we need to wait for the official odds.

And to reiterate, if Ancajas became the underdog, then it could be good bet for us fans as we all know that he might have a puncher chance to beat Takuma Inoue. We really don't hear any news, but for sure they are already in the middle of their trainings in preparation of. this fight.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 20, 2023, 11:44:38 AM
Yup, Inoue's power punches can bring Tapales to kiss the canvass just like how Donaire ends his rematch against the monster.
like what you said, it's tough to find the right strategy, but he Tapales needed that.

For now, the delay of the schedule will give him time to prepare and to continue working with whatever his camp thinks that will help him.

Something that may allow him to stand out and surprise Inoue. Whatever it is or whatever strategy may it be, he needs to build that
confidence as in overall stats, Inoue really got a far advantage.

ATM, Tapales is busy with his training and last time i've heard is that he is in Baguio City and he is tapping Vincent Astrolabio as his main sparring partner, this is a big help for Tapales since Astrolabio is also a world-class boxer. Tapales is known to adjust to whatever style his opponent may bring so I think Inoue might be surprised if what they saw on tape might be different from actual.
That's good to hear that he is training in the Philippines with world class sparring partners. But we all know that no can can copy of Inoue and specially the power that he possesses. So again, just like what we are saying, it's going to be the biggest task for Tapales to beat Inoue. But he needs all the help, and it's good to hear the Vincent Astrolabio is willing to help in an capacity.

Though not official rumors had it that this fight would take place on December 26, right after Christmas Day.
Doesn't matter to this boxers, they are willing to sacrifice just to pursue their dreams. Specially for Tapales, because if ever he will beat Inoue then he will be a unified champion and he will be the first one to deal Inoue his first pro defeat.
