701  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX founder projects $750,000 to $1 million #Bitcoin price by 2026 on: October 12, 2023, 05:20:40 PM
Many are predicting many prices to be honest. It’s obvious that people are predicting because we know 2024 will be really big for the Bitcoins. Bitcoins follow a 4 year cycle to achieve ATH price and 2024 is the 4th year. So yes there is high expectations that Bitcoins will cross atleast 69k usd by 2024. Now this will increase the hype among people and the demand to accumulate Bitcoins will again increase. So there is high chance that Bitcoins might cross 100k usd or even 750k usd by 2026.
And there are predictions in the last bull run that we are going to hit $100,000, but the all time high we achieved in $69,000. So yeah, there is a cycle here, every 4 year we will have a big bull run, but sometimes the price prediction falls short because everyone is thinking that it will be really huge. So the question for this prediction is a big if, because we if think about it, might not hit it by 2026. But we all know that the bitcoin market might pull another big surprises so we will see and look forward. But first, incoming 2024/2025, hopefully we can really reach that 6 digits that we all have been wanting to see and it's going to be historic to us and as far as financial market goes.
702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 12, 2023, 04:56:06 PM
This is the first time that I heard it, and to be honest, I'm not sure if there is such a term. Anyway, yeah, I saw this kind of addictions from my friends as well, and this  is just like a escape from their original addiction, i.e. gambling addiction. And if you look closely, they are still losing money in a bad way and I don't think they can justify it. And it's just the psychology of addiction, you try to remove yourself, but then again, shifts to other who we think is the lesser of the two evil. But still the same though, in the end you are into the losing side and it's hard to get back and cover your losses until one day if really hits you hard and then you go and become depressed and your mental health is affected.
703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 12, 2023, 04:08:40 PM
~Snip
Things like that are very normal and I often experience things like that too. But I don't take it too seriously. Because it is their personal right. Whether he won gambling or not, I personally have never asked a friend to give me his gambling winnings. So basically, if I have a friend like that, I'd better just ignore him. Because in the end friends who have habits like that will be ashamed of themselves. Apart from that, maybe people who distance themselves from their friends also have reasons why they don't decide to join their friends. It could be that he has other interests, such as having a debt that must be paid. So there are many valid reasons for this. However, if you think about it from a negative perspective, it is certain that such people do not want their profits to be shared with their friends. But once again, as I explained above, don't worry too much if you have a friend like that, just ignore it and the problem will be resolved. Because from my experience, people like that will definitely come back again when the money runs out. But even so, he will definitely return, but with shame. So the surefire way to deal with friends like that is to ignore them. .
Yes, same here, unless it's really like one of my friends winning huge like in lottery or something. But if it just a normal games that we play together, then I wouldn't get made if they somewhat avoided me or the rest of the gang. Lol. Maybe he just want to enjoy his winnings, or just think about it, if it is in your case, then most likely you will do the same for your friends as well. So I will not take it personally though, we are talking about money and if your friend losses, then it's his money, so if he wins then obviously he will take care of himself first and maybe even if he won, that is not enough to cover what he has been losing money in gambling for years. So in any case, just leave it to your friend. If he comes back and tell you the reason why he avoided you then good, if not, then let it go and just continue to gamble.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 12, 2023, 11:26:16 AM
The Japanese fighter is taller though, and so it seems that Casimero has had a hard time against Oguni. However, Casimero is throwing big bombs and at least 4 has connected by Oguni is just eating it.

But I'm not sure if that jaw can hold with that power from Casimero. John Riel is also targeting that body.

Round 2 has just started, let's see if Casimero can score a knockout win as we wanted him to win that way. Another good round for Casimero.
705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: October 11, 2023, 09:20:08 AM
Until now prices are still low and it's a good opportunity to buy more. If the halving day was before, there would be a price explosion in 4 or 5 months, so my estimate is that in December or January 2024 something big will happen, in fact many experts believe that in December this year it will happen. new ATH even though currently the price is still low.
The market is still sideways - so it is always possible for you to make an accumulation effort.
I agree that the current price of bitcoin is still too cheap compared to a few months ago - so take advantage of this momentum to get a lower average cost if you have the budget.
Yes, as we are technically in the bear market still, it's a good chance to accumulate as many as we can. The lowest low in this bear market is about $15,500, and if we compare it the current price, it's almost double. But in the last 6 months, the price seems to be in the sideways. So for me, I buy if I have some budget in this current price and then HODL on it till next year.

Buy now and hold for the long term - after that you can expect ATH. But on the other hand - if you don't have anything in your account, then I don't know what you are talking about even if there is one truth being said.
This is what I'm saying, HODL for the long term. Although the block halving is fast approaching, we can still buy at this price and consider it at a discount. Because once we hit the bull run after the halving, the price couldn't be stop and we will go on another parabolic spike similar to the last bull run we have and then we should be looking at what will be the ATH in the next 2 years.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: October 11, 2023, 09:09:09 AM
Does anyone here really utilize these online crypto casinos to place bets in bitcoin and have you had much luck with it? What have you found to give you the best odds in winning? Is there any skill involved in any of their games or is it all purely chance?
Yes, there are a lot of gamblers here uses at least one casinos that they trust and place a bet on bitcoin. And it really depends on the game you bet, we love sports bet, so most likely for example, basketball, you know the teams that are going to play and have a idea on who is to bet or who you think will win. but there are a lot of options too, like ML, over and under score, handicap +/- and others. So there could be skilled involved in this kind of betting as you have to know a lot of information and analyzed the two teams that are going to play. But for games like slots and dice or roulette, it's based on pure luck, you just have to bet and see how it goes for you. If you are obviously lucky that day, then you are going to win. But expect that in the long run, the house edge are going to caught up with you and you are going to lose on this luck based games.
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 11, 2023, 03:37:36 AM
I met a friend who used about $1 to play gamble to win about $2500 in a game of different matches, all the early games went well but the last game cut which made him loose the game.  This lose made him to be sick for 3 days, the reason for his reaction was not because of the money he used to bet but he felt so bad because he has already put all his hope on the money he would have won.

People needs not to put all their hope in games they are not sure of winning, because relying on it can be very dangerous to the mental health. Play gamble and remove your mind from the money that will be gained till it is achieved.
We've heard horror stories about gambling, and I will assume that your friend is playing parlays and the risk is very high on that kind of betting. You really need to be perfect and it will be dishearten to see your bet just missed 1 that ruined your chances to win that big money. I've seen this before, actually I have a friend who also had the a chance to win $20,000, unfortunately, he has bet his last money. But in the next game, he see that his previous bet hit and that he said that he was sick for and even thinking of jumping out of their balcony. So it's very dangerous to us mentally, and if we are not ready, then the worst can happen to us, just saying. I also had like this kind of parlay bet, and it's really hard to see your bet going down the drain with just one mistake.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 11, 2023, 03:08:49 AM
They just released pay-per-view price for Fury vs Ngannou and you can watch it for $79.99 on ESPN+ and other pay-per-view providers.
Some people complain price is high, but this is similar what people usually pay for some UFC events, so it is not bad, but I am sure there will be other ways to watch this fight live or as recording later.
I am setting my reminder in calendar for October 28. 🥊

I think odds are dropping on Fury:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/fury-tyson-v-ngannou-francis-64ad95be3c9b7eafa4377281

That price might sound pretty high to some individuals, but it's not really meant for everyone, especially in places where illegal streaming is more common. If you're in the US, the EU, or other developed countries, the cost might not seem so bad. And when you've got a really exciting showdown between fighters, it kinda justifies the price, you know? It's like when Mayweather fought McGregor, and the PPV was almost a hundred bucks, but did individuals really gripe about that?
Yeah, I think it's not that bad price though, the Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis fight peg the price of PPV at $84.99 if I'm not mistaken. It is huge price, but guess what, it is the highest PPV sales for this year. Which means that if fans are intrigue by the match up, they are willing to pay that much to see in PPV or even in live.

So just like in this fight, although for boxing fans we might see Fury winning here, there could be still who thinks that Francis can win with his big and power punches. And with Mike Tyson training him and we have seen a lot of video circulating with Francis and Mike Tyson, for sure there could still be hype around this fight and so there are fans that's willing to pay that huge PPV price.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big whale play game of sentiments with short investors and put them in FOMO on: October 11, 2023, 01:35:35 AM
Or they can also give pressure on this newbies when they put a huge sell order. And when this noobs see that in a exchange, they either FOMO and panic and push the sell button and this whales win the game and scoop all those cheap bitcoins from this relatively new traders.

So I guess it will take some for some newbies to gain experience this way. At least they've learn a lesson, albeit it's in a more expensive way. But the thing is that it's going to be cyclical as we all know that there are always new comers in the space and sooner or later they are going to fall for this kind of trap. Even for experienced traders though, there are a lot of things that we are going to learn along the way to be able to get away from this kind of trap being set up by big whales.
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always fight back on: October 10, 2023, 06:54:08 PM
I never experienced bitcoins when they decrease its price and it never recover again because it always recovered for the past years also there is a timing for it especially when it reaches its peak, it will take some time to recover back again but the bottom line is, it surely recovered. now that we are close to bitcoin halving, surely there will be more investors already waiting out there and most of them are gonna just wait for the right time because they are aiming for the high chance of a new ATH just after the bitcoin halving.
Right, because we have cycles in the market, and I think this is one of a kind as far as other assets is concern. Satoshi's design was truly remarkable like the bitcoin halving, as a result bitcoin become so limited and so there is a demand as some point, in the bull market.

And after some time, the market will go on another slump, and then we have the chance again to accumulate and hold for a long time, wait for the next bull run to happen and make our profits. That's how the cycle is and I think it will continue and the economics, the supply and demand will make the price go up.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe? on: October 10, 2023, 06:31:23 PM
With hacks occurring more frequently these days, I would strongly emphasize the importance of security. Whether it's a decentralized exchange (DEX) or a centralized exchange (CEX), no one is immune. First, we witnessed the Mixin incident, and now it's Galxe. It's crucial for everyone to assess the security measures of any platform before entrusting their funds. We all bear the responsibility to conduct thorough research before investing our hard-earned money

In both cases though, we can't do anything about it since it was the platform that is getting hack not our accounts. However, there are layers of security that has been put up to help us not get our accounts to be compromise, like 2FA and others. So in our end, we should practice security hygiene like

- not clicking on any link specially if we don't know the source, it includes email and even text message
- update our OS and A/V
- get hardware wallet if we can
- don't write or save your mnemonic code or private code in your machine or in the cloud

So there's a lot of responsibility here, don't trust anyone and if you can, have a separate machine for your crypto activities.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 10, 2023, 11:50:32 AM
Tapales can use this opportunity to scout more about Inoue's fighting strategy. He needed to work more to find possible ways to beat or
to counter Inoue's power, though the winning chance probably won't change.

But giving that time to equip his fighting capabilities to stay up and a possible surviving the fight for possible decision ending.

We never know what fate will be for Tapales if both luck and good preparation will give him the winning outcome.

Tapales should avoid thinking about taking the fight to a decision because I'm absolutely certain it won't be in his favor. Inoue is known for his knockout ability, so Tapales needs to have confidence in his own power and believe that he can match Inoue's strength. This mindset will make him more aggressive and motivate him to go for the knockout. There's no chance of victory if he doesn't take that approach.
Could be, but it's very hard to go toe to toe against Inoue, Donaire uses that strategy and get caught by a huge punch and was out in 2 rounds. Fulton tries to be cautious, however he made one mistakes and that's what Inoue wanted and then gets him in the canvass and that's it. That's why it's hard to see what kind of strategy Tapales will have to do in order to win this fight.

He could go and make the fight and rough Inoue, but I don't think that fans gonna love it when we see him just hugging Inoue. So we will see what kind of strategy they will have but Tapales should have a lot of plans just in case. So it means going full 12 rounds and hopefully he can win in the judges scorecard and there's no home cook decision.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 10, 2023, 10:55:48 AM

Pacman didn't do much damage to him but Maidana humiliate Broner more which I thought he'd actually stop fighting after that fight. Broner considerably has a good record though despite his showboating that end up badly.
But he still lost to Manny and then during post interview, he thought he won, Lol,. Pacman didn't do much damage because Broner doesn't want to fight but just survived the whole 12 rounds. Against Maidana, he was the big favorite, and I guess if you are really too arrogant sometimes karma will get the best out of you and that's what happen to him.

He is fighting an unknown boxer. I tried watching Chris on youtube he seem a slugger. A perect pair for Broner.
Most likely another tailor fight as what we say, so that his best qualities are going to be shown here. Like counter punching and his defense and Philly shell stance that all they learn from the legendary Floyd Mayweather. Perhaps this could be a 12 round decision win for Maidana but I don't think it will be enough for him to go up in the rankings and fight the champion.
714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sustainable Approach For Your Earnings in Gambling on: October 10, 2023, 10:34:34 AM
I'm not sure though if there is really a successful approach to gambling. Yes, you can manage risk, your funds and bankroll. But it's going to be very difficult, even if winning or losing, it's hard to quit and not continue to play to chase your losses or look for more win. The approach of the OP is good, no question about it, however, it is really applicable to the majority of the gamblers here?

What if you are in a losing streak? Will you just take a break and stop? or will continue to deposit for more and recoup (this is the mindset of the gambler). Unless you really have total control of your minds and emotions, which again very very hard to do. I just for the majority, if the money that you play is nothing, then just go and enjoy the game without making things complicated on you, specially your mentality.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 09, 2023, 06:09:54 PM
I really dont see so much value on that bet, is a very late bet, for only a 1.88 odd. SO much things can go wrong, and 55 games is a lot to win, if you see for example the top 1 in east (miami heat) won only 53 games on 21/22 season.
You can't compare the Heat though to the Bucks, Milwaukee has always been winning a lot of games in the regular season with Giannis. And now that they have added another offensive power in Dame, it's possible that they might get 55 game or more wins this season. Not just the number of wins though, I expect the they could like averaging 130 points per game.

In today's era there's not much defense that's why last year we have seen teams really like winning 130's, 140's or even 150's scoring game. So I think it's doable by the Bucks and for those who are going to take that risk, then it might be worth it in the end, in my opinion.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquaio vs Mayweather 2 rematch on: October 09, 2023, 05:39:04 PM
Any other fighter yes the fight can happen for the right cash prize but for a determined Pacquaio hell  No!!!
I know how bad we all would love to see a rematch but against Pacquaio , his thinking twice and this would be team money teams worst wish  especially that Mayweather has that unbeaten run going and wouldn't want to lose it when his career is closely coming to an end and definitely wants to retire a champion!!!
<snip>
This match up is currently just a rumor, right? But in any case, It think that this match is still exciting even though they are both in their 40s. I am just thinking of whether they are still on their shape to fight. About the money, I do think that this fight will be able to generate great revenue just like what they had from their last match.
Yes, so far this is just a rumour that has been circulating for some time now and we don't know if this is going to be happen or not. Really depends on Floyd as we all know that after fighting Manny, he didn't give him the rematch and then instead retire after a couple of fights if I'm not mistaken. But if he consider this fight, then I think it's for the money of course and it could be as just a exhibition match.

Nevertheless it will still generate great revenue just like their first fight. I thinking that it could generate higher gross revenues if this fight is going to happen in the future as fans of both of them are still wanting to see them in the ring. But if this is a exhibition match then even if Manny won the record of Floyd will still be 50-0 and it won't blemish his records.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: October 07, 2023, 02:26:20 AM
thank you for sharing your experience,
It's difficult to get a VIP account for gamblers who don't have large capital and are afraid of losing, so I think you are a group of people who have a lot of money.
gambling is just for the fun aspect, i won't be looking for a VIP account like you said, even though it's tempting, i still have to think about the funds that will be spent on it all
Not only the OP has a lot of money, they have enough money that reaching a high VIP status on many different casinos is even possible for them, any regular gambler trying to achieve such a feat will fail simply because they do not have the money necessary to achieve it, so while the perks of a high VIP status are without a doubt something I would like to have, I also know that I simply do not have the possibility of reaching it, and many gamblers are in the same situation in which I am.
Obviously this is the case, but it's good that we heard this kind of things from a real whale or if it is a online casinos, high rollers. So he is a VIP member already from the 3 casinos that he mentioned, and for sure some of us has at least one account from those though as they have established themselves here and be in the top of the game. I personally know one high roller though in land base casino here, and damn, he really spend millions and millions upon one sitting and I will tell you that he has a lot of perks that sometimes he just gave it to some of his friends. Like we can go to him and ask if he can get us a room from the casinos and yeah he can do it with just one call and although the room is not free, but the discounts he can get though, as high as 50%-75% and then some vouchers too if you wanted to add free foods. But as for us regular gamblers, I don't think that we can reach that high, Lol, we can only wish.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 07, 2023, 02:06:50 AM
The rumors about Clippers and Harden is just rumors at this point. There isn't any official statement regarding the situation from anyone, so we can't really get any valid news, nothing we can provide proof for. So we need to wait until something concrete happens, either the trade may happen, or maybe it is all just a rumor and not real.
True, but if you are a fan of basketball then you have some speculations in your mind as to what might happen for James Harden in the future. He shows interest again with the 76ers at the start of the training camp, and so we can move forward from there. Whether he will stay with the 76ers for this season and forget what he has said and remain professional. Or continue to create drama for him and the 76ers which is again on the familiar territory just like what Ben Simmons case years ago.

I think it should be important to note that we are not going to end up with anything that would benefit anyone neither, I just think that Harden to Clippers would be hard and Clippers may want him for the time being but the longer it takes the more they may reconsider their options. They already have a decent team, and getting someone that constantly had issues so far doesn't feel all that well.
See, you have your own speculation already. Definitely it should be mutual though, Clippers getting Harden but they will have to exchange some of their young players and then added future picks to lure the 76ers to give a go signal for a trade. Or Clippers standing their ground, not going to give that much to 76ers so the 76ers will have to accept it or not.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying ETH fees? on: October 06, 2023, 05:30:23 PM
I think to keep some ETH in your wallet it’s always good thing because anytime you need to sell your tokens as like if you see suddenly your tokens will big increase, personally i'm always holding 5$-10$ for transaction fees in my ETH wallets because i know i own/holding a several ERC-20 tokens so i'm always ready to sell it. In the next bull run definitely ETH price will be increase so it’s good time to buy ETH in cheap price.
Yes, at least $10.00 will do as transaction fees if you want to move several ERC-20 wallet. Just like what I did in the last couple of hours, I try to move $100.00 unfortunately, I can't because it says fees are not enough. Then I have to convert/swap some to $5.00 and it won't allow me because the minimum to swap is like $10.00. And so I did that, and it worth mentioning that the $10.00 will likely make me 3-4 transactions before I will have to replenish my wallet again with another $10.00 if I wanted to make a new transaction in the future. So I know it's huge already with that $10.00, but we can't do anything for now but to wait if there will be future iterations of ETH to make the gas fees much lower.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: What US can do with its dept? Genuine question. on: October 06, 2023, 04:44:02 PM
We all know that US borrowing heavily. There are a lot of information on US debt on the Internet. Just to make it short, I will ask few questions:

What do you think, how this situation will be resolved? What did happen to any other nations who had huge dept in history? Is there any ways offered by economists to resolve the situation?
Isn't it obvious though, I mean they are getting the money from their people in form of:

a. Taxes - we've seen and heard that they are still rising their taxes.
b. very controversial, but it was mentioned by @Yogee, they can make money in conflicts because they are going to supply the armaments.
c. Create jobs - but this is very difficult to achieved without investors money coming in

I'm not sure if there are nations without any national debt it. Sooner or later they will need to borrow money from someone else.
