Who do you guys fancy this weekend?  I think these set of matches are kinda tough from a betting perspective.  Feels like the ones I like have not enough value to put some action on...  Maybe except for Brighton to win the first half vs Bournemouth  at 1.84?  What do you guys think of that?

I'd prolly start to put a little action on Jeremy Doku anytime goal scorer with anything above 2.50 vs really inferior squads.  Wink  We could see him get better as the season goes.

I forgot to make my picks for the second round of the midweek fixtures.  :/  I wanted to do it last minute before the matches start but got a bit busy irl.  If I make my picks and not lock them, does Superbru take those picks and locks by itself?  I prolly might start doing that.  Kicking myself right now.

Edit:  Looking at the scores and thinking what I would've predicted, I don't think it would've made a huge difference.  Lolol.

Yes, Superbru itself locks your forecast as soon as the game starts. I almost never press Lock and all my predictions work. By the way, I see that you received a point for Napoli’s victory - you see, even without making a prediction, you received a certain number of points since Superbru counts the unmade prediction as the pick of a favorite.
But in any case, it is better to make predictions in advance and not press Lock - if you change your mind, you can change them, and if you forget, at least your deliberate picks will remain.
You have 10 default picks and if tokeweed did not put in result for any game yesterday, that means 2 left.

No need to lock your picks ever, unless you want to check what others chose before the deadline. When you lock it you can check those results and maybe use it for betting. Like I am doing sometimes to check if my choosen outcome is the one most people in the pool agree with.

Yup at least Superbru gave me a little bit of points to work with for the next round of matches.  And I think I'm at around 19 out of 50 in the leaderboard?  So not actually that bad for missing a day of matches.

I now already got the app finally installed in my phone...  I just got this one a couple of months ago.  Can't believe I've been so lazy installing the same apps as my old one.  Lol.

Anyway, this pool got me looking in advance at the next round and I'm like...  This is tough.  No idea how most of these fixtures are gonna end.

There are fewer profits from this method every year, and it is almost impossible to repeat the profits of 2018-2020.
Those days we are not used to bots. Nowadays we are using bots to farm the airdrops. Some of them use multiple machines as well. so they can earn more than a single person earned amount. But the risk is if they do not give any airdrop to the users or if you are caught as a Sybil, you will not get anything. So it is better to be a real user.

You could also hire this guy.  Pretty sure he's an expert in anti bot detection.  Cheesy

^  That's him right now working on the Venom testnets to try and be eligible for the airdrop.  I heard it's pretty easy to do and you could make many accounts, finish the tasks and mint the NFT's in one hour.

Seriously tho, there's nothing stopping people from trying to cheat their way in getting more than their fair share.  It's up to the project's devs to put up some sort of measure to make everything as fair as possible.  It's prolly why Layer Zero partnered with Nomis.
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 21, 2023, 12:47:24 PM
^  But PA looks like it's starting to get some momentum to the upside since the time it dropped to 24.9k last week.  And it kinda slowed down the last two days but just a couple of hours ago or so, seems like it's picking up again.  It's looking good so far.  Let's just hope it won't do the shenanigans it did at the end of August.  Mofos ran the stops and got a lot of people sidelined.  Lol.

But yeah...  Let's see if it makes a clean break above 28k.
It seems to me that price manipulation is going on now. It can be said that the fall has been going on for several months, but the volatility is not big and there are pullbacks. Although September looks green on the monthly chart. That's good so far.

Yup, you might be right.  Low volatility and low volume makes for an easier market to manipulate.  Wink  But it's not totally manipulated, some of the price action comes from big buyers or sellers who move the price due to the volume they bring to the market.  It's the one in between that's being manipulated when traders run the stops.

But yeah, looks like there's not gonna be a 28k break out.  But then again as soon as I post this, the market starts ripping up again...  Watch.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Some breaking news from Dana White:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7STg0LeWko

UFC 295 (11th Nov) Jones Vs Miocic - the co-main event will be Prohazka Vs. Pereira for a vacant title
UFC 296 (16th Dec) - Leon Edwards is confirmed to face Colby Covington. Co-main event: Pantoja Vs Royval.

Sounds good to me.

Nice!  I wonder how the books are gonna line Prochazka vs Pereira...  From what we've seen of Pereira at 205 vs Jan Błachowicz, it was dull, low volume and boring.  Prochazka is a dynamic striker, fast and more explosive.  But he's more hittable than the average.  I'd be happy to see Prochazka at 1.60 - 1.70 and anything under that would be giving value to Pereira imho.

And I think we finally see Covington get the belt at 170.  Lol.

Anyway! I kinda change my mind for my pick in the main event in the Multi Master...  Gamrot could grind on Fiziev right from the start and tire him out.  He's kinda big for 155 and Fiziev kinda small.  :/
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: September 20, 2023, 01:21:04 PM
^  Lol what are you even saying?  Arbitrum has one of the highest TVL's out there and it's prolly top 5 with L1's included and it has the highest TVL if only compared to all L2's that are out there right now.  So saying that it would drop dead would be kinda, for a lack of a better word, dumb imho.  So if you're accumulating now, I'm pretty sure it will def pay off.

Oh...  And the Arbitrum Foundation just announced they'll be having another round of Odyssey again.  It's going to last for 7 weeks and I think it will involve 13 projects.  They prolly have an anti bot measure in place?

^  The typical opening for a Terran player playing vs a Zerg player is to go double barracks at the start and pump out marines as fast as possible while teching up to get some medics and fire bats out there plus the stim pack and long range upgrades.  It's also very important to get the scan add on for the command center.

Here's the vid of Rush vs Hero with Artosis and Tasteless at the commentary.

ASL 16 Quarter Final Match1 Rush vs herO

Next vid will prolly be up in a couple of days.  I won't spoil the results but you prolly already know who Rush's opponent is at the semis.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 20, 2023, 12:53:06 PM
^  I got Fiziev to win but I can't say it with a whole lot of confidence because here's the thing, you ask when did Fiziev ever get threatened by a sub finish or a ground and pound in the UFC.  I'd say none because since when did Fiziev fight a wrestler as good as Gamrot?  It could get dicey for Fiziev at the later rounds if it comes to that.  So he prolly should finish Gamrot by knocking him out before the championship rounds.

Anyway here's a couple of vids to watch before the event and a post fight conference vid from DWCS.

790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layerzero Speculation airdrop on: September 19, 2023, 12:55:53 PM
$1k definitely enough even some of the airdrops out there only require specific qualifications that don't necessarily requires you to spend and create that much volume.
most of them are just adding criteria of having interacted with their smart contract codes and thats it.
i guess layerzero gonna be the same, you just required to interact with their blockchain, basically having recoded contract execution or some sort that gets recorded in layerzero itself and then you're eligible but then again its just assumption.
after all, just the same usually with these airdrops in general, they didn't disclose the qualifications for the sake of getting people into trying everything out in their blockchain.

As for the volume, this will necessarily act as an additional criterion when determining the size of the airdrop. The team will not distribute the same amount of airdrop for all wallets that were registered in the blockchain and, accordingly, different criteria will be required so that everyone's contribution is appreciated.

How about this...  What if there were a ton of people who gamed the airdrop that made around 1k USD of volume that it won't make sense for Layer Zero Labs to give the ZRO tokens as it would fck up distribution.  Imagine giving people who own 10 or more wallets and all they'll do is dump their tokens and leave.  That's the exact opposite of what they're trying to do here.  They want an organic way to set their project up, not enrich people who don't care about the protocol.  So they better be careful how they proceed with the airdrop.

I saw in a video that a group of people from China doing airdrop farming in an office. This seems insane at first glance, but it seems logical if you look into other projects like arbitrum and optimism. Their profit share changed lot of people's lives. All this is a speculative approach, and all of their work can be in vain because no one knows about the possible requirements to be eligible for the airdrop.

What impossible requirements?  I mean sure higher volume would help get you into the list but it's not exactly a prerequisite.  What Layer Zero is trying to stop are the botters.  This time it's a partnership with Nomis and I think it's going to be with a couple other projects next.  And pretty sure there will be a lot of legit users' wallets who'll be marked as botters.  It's gonna suck but it is what it is.  :/

Stay safe out there guys.

The Information was from Tapology: https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/101865-ufc-fight-night

That's a decent main event imho.  And Fiziev is one of my favorite guys in the roster since he beat Marc Diakesse as the underdog a couple of years ago but man...  Going against Gamrot for 5 rounds could be a tall order.  Fiziev wil prolly look good at the first couple of rounds of the match.  But as the match progresses into the championship rounds, he has a tendency of slowing down.  That's where Gamrot could take over and wear on him.  Gamrot is very durable and a very good wrestler.  If more action goes to Fiziev, Gamrot's like could improve to 2.50. which is good imo.

Edit:  DWCS is also on in a couple of days.

^  Yup..  Here's the brackets for quarters, semis and the finals.  Quarter finals are Bo5 games, while the semis and the final are Bo7 games

My picks from each of the match ups are Rush, Soulkey, Mini and Action.  NFA but I might make a small bet on Rush, if I win that I drop everything on Soulkey tomorrow.  Grin  So I hope I win the first bet.

And it's nice to see Rollbit have a market for it now.  So I guess I'll post that here instead of Stake's lines.

https://rollbit.com/sports?bt-path=%2Fstarcraft-112

Anyway, event starts in around 25 mins.  Have fun and good luck to the one follower of this thread.  Cheesy

With Layer Zero getting on board Nomis, I think it's not totally about the multiplier.  It's more about helping Layer Zero's devs figure out how to filter the botters out of the airdrop list.  And again for just 8 bucks, I'm minting my score just in case it's gonna be something like Arbitrum's Odyssey NFT.  I think the minters were given more points in the Arbitrum Foundation's list of eligible people.  Dunno...

Odyssey NFT was not a multiplier in the distribution of airdrop from Arbitrum. All the criteria that influenced the size of the airdrop are on the page https://arbitrum.foundation/eligibility and Odyssey NFT is missing among them. We can only be happy for Nomis, which has received about 700 thousand dollars from users who think the same way as you.

It didn't in the end because a lot of people were botting it.  Layer Zero and Nomis' partnership is different as Nomis filters the botters out which makes minting the NFT have more sense as proof that you got your score at a specified date.

And it could discourage botters from gaming the airdrop now.  So I think it's the best time to start getting active again as the devs could give more credence to the data after the partnership was made.

It was a decent event from top to bottom except for the JDM vs Holland match which I thought was gonna be fight of the night.  :/  Not sure why Holland didn't get some grappling in.

A couple of take aways from the event...  I think Blanchfield could own both Shev's and Grasso's asses and JDM could lose his next match vs another ranked guy.  He'll prolly fight Geoff Neal next..?

Noche UFC:  Results

When we look at Manchester United's current form I won't be very surprised if they even get eliminated in the Champions League group stage. They are playing really very badly.

By the way I want to say that I have made my payment. Here is txid: f99005b7160ef44871d8969a97d60a68055dba14fdc129ff2f5b197ffe2e8ce1

Yeah...  But I think they get enough points from FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray to go through to KO stages.  And it's better if they do as we'll need the laughs and keep things interesting.  I hope they'll win one from Bayern too.  Lol.

Anyway, buwaytress I sent you a pm.  Thanks.  Wink

And damn I didn't realize that the CL starts this coming week.  I still haven't figured out the thing in the spread sheet yet.

Good luck everybody!

Hmmm..  Now wishing I went through with my prediction and made the bet on Leclerc to finish on the podium at 3.95.  :/  He's running the softs right now and might do a one stop and go for the hards.  Dunno...  But it looks like he's gonna finish second or third at least.  He'd be lucky to win it but Sainz seems faster.

Edit:  Leclerc was just on the radio and said that Sainz looks like he's slowing down.  Interesting to see how the Ferrari plays this beyond lap 20.  Would be funny if they botch it and get somebody else to finish first.  Cheesy Cheesy

Edit:  LOL FERRARI.
