Hi guys, I have some 300 dash which I could put to some use in a shared MN. Who is the most reputable member of community running these? Sorry if I am asking the obvious; have not been here in a long time Smiley

I'm quite interested in this too. Do you have to hand over your share of the collateral.  How is it secured?

Yes, you have to hand it over, it's not secured.  You have to trust the service.  Having said that, all 3 have EXCELLENT reputations and amazing members.  Both Moocowmoo and Splawik are core team members and Node 40 is a long time MN service provider (not sure they do shares though?)

Hi TanteStefana, Thanks for the info. I think that might become more of a problem as Dash rises in value. Not saying they can't be trusted but I have been burned before trusting 3rd parties. Just pondering out loud, I wonder if some kind of multisig solution could be used or something.

It's always a folly to watch dash rest when bitcoin grows... some great video links dash squad 🐺👌🏻

Looks like Dash little rest is over.
It also looks like we now know which direction Dash wants to go.

Yes looking good.

All news is good news for Dash at the moment. Time for market to reflect that better. Once the segwit hype fades away Dash will steamroller its way past the bitcoin test network, sometimes known as litecoin.

 0.0345 Still waiting

That already came and went buddy.

Must I pull up my trade history where I dumped it to .0345?

*snip

You want me to bring it down again?

No problem.

Cheers,

MasterTrader777

When you said, see you at 0.0345 that was after that first time. The second time you tried shorting it, you got squeeezed

Oh but I nearly forgot. You own the market. Its not a game. Buy Ripple

Is dash dead?

Thats a very philosophical question. Is dash dead? Well its not alive in the sense of what we normally consider a living entity, a living, breathing creature of flesh, but is it dead? I'll have to ponder on that. Thanks for the stimulating idea.

I mean it looks like the trading volume is dead ..developin is going well ..but when it comes to trading is dying and pretty stable price after the huge dump...it sime NEM will surpass dash on coinmarketcap and put it down .

Ok I'll play along without being flippant. Huge volumes on the run up is to be expected, the market got a bit over exuberant and had a bubble. (Or if you believe mastertrader, he did it all himself except with his crew cos he owns the market and stuff, its not a game) But I digress. On the way down the volume was again quite high this time with sellers. With price beginning to flatten out volume is now low, maybe the market is running out of sellers? But people are hesitant to jump in without confirmation which way the market is going. The next high volume moves will probably be big but which direction, up or down. In short its normal market behaviour, no Dash is not dead, just pining for the fjords.

Haha I know what you mean. Not sure I should admit it though. He's busy being a bitcoin core shill supporting the french national front last time I checked what he's up too. He will be back don't worry he is still convinced Dash is a scam.

@Mastertrader777 you can post whatever you like, but let me send you provide you some words of wisdom...

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

I believe were nearing the end of that quote and DASH will surpass bitcoin very soon, so you can do what you want and say what you want.. You know yourself that DASH is far superior
then bitcoin and the rest of the Market realises this, just look at how much "BTC Dominance:" has gone down too:  67.1% lol.... When Evolution is released you will be dumping all of those bitcoins for DASH...
and then this cycle will start again, but this time you will most likely be defending DASH. time will tell my friend!
This trader guy actually thinks most of us care about short-term movements in the price? The majority of Dash holders, as evidenced by the ever-growing masternode count, are long-term investors. Dash will still be here long after you've run out of Dash to dump. We have our eyes on the prize, which is to develop a digital cash for the world to use. If you actually manage to take the price where you say, you will only serve to make a better entry point for those who believe in Dash long-term. Traders gonna trade, hodlers gonna hodl... do your worst, bro. We are not scared of you.

Mastertrader should be noobtrader. He claims he owns the market. If thats true prove it and put price to 0.0345. He claims being behind market moves in a similar way to I can claim I can make the sun rise tomorrow morning.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 16, 2017, 05:48:00 PM
*PS long time lurker here since before even the birth of dash(hence the name), and holder

My focus has changed a little bit too since I used afbitcoins as my name. I prefer Dash to any other bitcoin 'alt' and with Bitcoin facing all those governance problems on how to scale I starting to like Dash better than king bitcoin too.

Dash is back up above litecoin in marketcap

Can't believe anyone buys ripple. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but as I understand it, XRP is 100% premined and they can mint any number more when they want? But there it is. Yay ripple

Why are so many of my posts being deleted? Talking about segwit and Lightning Network is on topic when related to wether or not Dash should include it? Or is it because I called iCEBREAKER a bitcoin core shill ?
Try to say : SEGWIT is great thing. Can't wait!  :-)

haha true. thats where i'm going wrong

Spike down to 0.034 looks like it was probably the final capitulation of selling on high volume. After that Dash broke up from the descending channel it was in. Now in a descending wedge, I would expect to break upwards.

796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 12, 2017, 11:39:32 AM
.04815 is the 61.8 Fibonacci retrace of the rally off the lows.

.045 is the 200 day moving average.

Price is currently pushing the lower Bollinger lower with the MACD showing a positive divergence on the 4 hour chart.

The 2 hour MACD clearly shows 3 main thrusts lower after the all time high, with the 2nd itself being comprised of 3 shorter term thrusts lower between March 28 and April 3.

All of which suggest that it's highly likely that what we are currently seeing is what is referred to in the trade as a "buy spike", which means that this is the final thrust lower with panic sellers that should be bought by smart traders looking for an intermediate term rally (probably only a recovery rally though . . .).

Remember, the best time to buy is when you're afraid (just like the best time to sell is when you're counting all your riches).

MasterSchmuck is upside down again.  Cheesy   Cheesy  Cheesy   Cheesy

Cool story bro...

See ya at .0345.

Just LIKE LAST TIME Wink

Cheers,

MasterTrader777

Anything can happen but I think that's unlikely. I assume you are trying to persuade people to panic sell near the bottom.

But whatever if the price does go down to those levels I will buy more.

Any news on the big exchange integration? Can't seem to find any or is it me except that it will be ninja launched in the past two weeks?

Lol

I wonder if it is being held back until the volatility of the last huge rise and correction that followed has subsided. Would make sense to announce that during a time when Dash is being sought rather than sold off.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 10, 2017, 07:46:23 AM

Instead of raging and screaming about some giant conspiratorial "well organized scheme" let's consider the fundamentals which differentiate Litecoin from Dash.

Litecoin is much older and has a more powerful/secure ASIC PoW network than Dash.

Litecoin is older than every coin except bitcoin that doesn't make it better. It does have a strong network, so does Dash. Monero on the other hand doesn't even have 1000 nodes.

Litecoin keeps up to date with hot new features like SEGWIT, while Dash can't even keep up with RBF/CPFP and breaks simple yet crucial things like IPv6 compatibility.

SEGWIT is very controversial, and in bitcoin seems a long way off being accepted. Litecoin is using this hype as fuel for a pump. IPv6 is irrelevant at this time. Other than you I haven't seen anyone else mention it.

Litecoin is going to have working payment channels like Lightning soon, thanks to SEGWIT.  That means InstantX, Masternodes, and Evolution are obsolete digital trash.

Lightning Network would be even more controversial than segwit. It will harm mining. And with huge volumes of transactions being handled off chain by Lignting Network will make the whole point of the blockchain diminish. The big money elites will be delighted to be a step closer to achieving elimination of cash replaced by electronic money in their control via lightning networks.

Litecoin's creator has DNA from MIT & Google, while Dash's has a sketchy background in finance and a 2 year mail-order degree in web marketing from University of Phoenix.

Roll Eyes So what? Steve Jobs and Bill Gates dropped out of college. I could almost say that a degree is a hindrance. Certainly it encourages parrot like repetition of 'the mainstream' rather than original thinking.

Litecoin's cobblee does not shill for and pump LTC; Dash's Duffield frequently advertises his project as a legitimate investment without disclosing the risks involved.

Evan is invested in the project. And wants it to succeed. Thanks to the instamine he was able to focus on it full time.

Litecoin was not 20% Instamined in the first 2 days; Dash was.  Litecoin never cut total emission to further enrich early miners; Dash did.

You can think of the instamine as a bit like an ICO. As already mentioned it enabled Evan to concentrate full time on the XCoin/Darkcoin/Dash project. Which we are all now benefiting from.

Litecoin does not require trusted 3rd party security holes; Dash makes SlaveNode users the playthings of Masternode Ponzi participants.

This point doesn't make sense.

Litecoin doesn't have to keep changing its name like a disgraced over-diluted pink sheet stock; Dash does.

Dash has evolved and its name has reflected that. Litecoin is still stuck as silver to bitcoin gold and will never be anything else. The segwit hype only proves that further.

Litecoin is supported by Coinbase and Kraken; Dash is considered a scam and despised by most of the crypto community, and thus will never trade on those exchanges.

Those exchanges may well change their minds just as bitfinex did.

Litecoin prioritizes technology over marketing; Dash does the opposite.

This couldn't be more wrong. Litecoin has done anything original except tweaking the bitcoin parameters? Dash has done more innovation than any other coin. The marketing is just a happy side effect of the budget system. Which is working supremely well.

Litecoin has a bus factor >>1.  Dash keeps losing devs who get wise to Evan 'The Instaminer' Scamfield's long con:

I never heard of Dash losing devs. I do notice them growing the team.

Hey, I'm gonna spread my investments. Any recommended coins? how about xmr, xrp, pivx, eth?
Fyi, I have 6 bitcoins only besides 90 dash. Cheesy

xmr - Evolutionary dead end. Can't scale.
xrp - Not a cryptocurrency.
pivx - This coin was a penny three months ago.
eth - Seems expensive. Will they fumble the switch to POS?

I would diversify by buying more Dash.
How can dash scale? You know instantx isnt about scaling right? Up to yet noone knows.how dashdrive will work seems lile its not even going to be a bitcoin core type of blockchain design.. whuch will open up a ton of secuirty issues. Its a sell until tech is vetted and matures as it stands dash is not scaling more than any btc core fork out there

One huge difference is that Dash nodes are incentivised. To keep a bitcoin node running you need more and more resources over time, bandwidth, storage etc but no incentive except perhaps an altruistic desire to try and support the network . Same with Dash, but with Dash that node is paid so there is another big reason for the node operator to increase ability of the nodes' platform to keep up to keep the reward payments.
