801  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Factor behind the rise and fall of Bitcoin price on: August 19, 2023, 07:52:11 PM
So many people try to get definitive answers of why the price goes up or down, what it’s reacting to etc. The answer is many things affect the price, both positive & negative news or events can have an effect. It will always settle though & one bitcoin will be worth what the market deems its value.
802  Economy / Economics / Re: What Actually Drives People/Gov to Adopt New and Bold Decisions on: August 19, 2023, 12:54:18 PM
People and governments often have to adopt new and bold decisions because of a combination of factors which might include a desire for progress and innovation, the need to address pressing challenges or crises, the influence of public opinion, the pursuit of economic or political advantage & even personal motivations and beliefs.

External factors such as technological advancements, changes in societal values & world events can also play a role in inspiring & driving new decisions. It’s a complex mixture of various factors that shape and motivate individuals & governments to embrace change & make bold decisions.
803  Economy / Economics / Re: I dont sell my assets i borrow against them on: August 19, 2023, 12:27:03 PM
The big issue you have here is the risk vs reward of what you’re doing. You are presumably giving up custody of your bitcoin to a bank, person or group whilst you repay what you’ve borrowed plus interest. What happens if the bank, person or group goes bust or decides to steal your bitcoin? I understand what you’re doing but it’s not for me, too risky.
804  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price hits the rock as Space X sells all it's BTC holdings on: August 18, 2023, 01:03:10 PM
I think we were due a significant move any way to be honest. I don’t think this move can be attributed to Musk selling. 373 million $ really isn’t that much these days, in the context of moving the market price. It’s probably just normal, we had a big dump in 2019 when everybody thought we would only go up. There will be a few games before the halving.
805  Economy / Economics / Re: Netherlands enters a technical recession on: August 18, 2023, 09:30:58 AM
They won’t be the last country to fall into recession in the next 6-12 months. This is all a result of shutting down the world due to COVID. So much money was lost & subsequent money printing that followed has done this damage. It’s going to be tough for a lot of people over the next year or so. We are here on a bitcoin forum so you know what to do to preserve your wealth & purchasing power.

807  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Tomorrow you wake up, You got 50000$ in your hand. What will you do? on: August 17, 2023, 09:23:23 PM
I’d keep $10,000 for a holiday & some fun money or something & smash buy bitcoin with the rest. I wouldn’t be a dumb ass & just blow $50,000 without thinking. You could easily quadruple that $40,000 by the the the next bull run is over.

808  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POLITICS AND LIES on: August 17, 2023, 09:18:34 PM
Politicians vary in their honesty & integrity. We can’t generalise and assume that all politicians lie, it's important to remember that individuals actions do not define an entire profession. Political pressures, electoral competition & the complexity of societal issues can sometimes create an environment where some politicians may feel compelled to stretch the truth or make promises they cannot fulfill. It’s a good idea to engage in critical thinking, fact checking &!to hold politicians accountable for their words & actions in order to promote transparency & honesty in politics.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: It's good that financial instutions Understood that they need to use crypto on: August 16, 2023, 11:22:02 AM
They’re all slowly coming on board but it’s still a long way until absolute worldwide adoption. Banks are starting to offer crypto services, eventually they all will or risk becoming obsolete. Bitcoin will have a huge part to play in the future of finance so it’s a good idea to buy as much as you can now.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: How to developed your capital on: August 16, 2023, 10:15:40 AM
To develop your capital effectively it's crucial to adopt a strategic and diversified approach. Maybe start by setting clear financial goals & creating a budget to track your income & expenses.

Explore different investment options such as stocks, real estate, crypto or mutual funds. Consider starting a small business or exploring entrepreneurship opportunities. Maybe focus on enhancing your skills & knowledge through continuous learning as it can lead to better career prospects & higher earning potential. Patience, discipline & adaptability are key to long term capital growth.
811  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I need your ideas on: August 16, 2023, 09:09:09 AM
Your life is far too important to consider suicide. You have so much to offer & too many people would miss you if you weren’t here any more.

Your life is worth so much more than any gambling debt or money lost. Take some time to digest what’s happened, stand up strong & start to build your life again. This is not a position that is impossible to recover from
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the cryptocurrencies worth investing by 2023? on: August 15, 2023, 12:39:51 PM
My boring but sensible answer is bitcoin but you probably don’t want to hear that do you.

There are so many altcoins, it’s like playing roulette. It is possible to make serious money in lessee known alts but you are just as, if not more likely to get REKT.

My advice is just buy bitcoin & ethereum & be patient. You may not get rich as you’re not early but your money will safely grow in purchasing power.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: August 13, 2023, 10:56:56 AM
Lots of people made life changing money in DOGE & following memecoins like SHIB, PEPE etc but they are the minority. Most people buying these coins will be doing so because they saw the FOMO & craze on Twitter or in forums or something. They buy at the top & end up selling at a loss.

Most of these memecoins have ridiculous circulating supply, a bunch of people get premined stacks. They are mostly a waste of time with no future use in the real world.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors spread that SBF is tied to the $BALD rugpull on: August 13, 2023, 09:21:54 AM
It wouldn’t surprise me, SBF is a guy who doesn't care about anybody else. He’s a massive criminal, one of the worst fraudsters of the last 20 years or more.

I just hope he gets a long prison sentence as some sort of justice for the pain & suffering he put so many people through.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW DO WE TRANSFER BITCOIN WEALTH TO HEIRS AND THE NEXT GENERATION on: August 12, 2023, 08:09:25 PM
I saw somebody say something funny once. A guy online said put your private keys in safe, bolted to concrete floor inside your home. Tell your family where it is but not the code to the safe. You can tattoo that on your ass or something or on the inside of your upper thigh. No dependents are ever going to find that until you’re dead. Tell them where the code is & they can get it when it’s time.
816  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 12, 2023, 06:38:38 PM
Bitcoin may continue its bullish trend from July 2023 as it breaks above the $30,000 resistance level & forms a higher low pattern on the weekly chart. The upcoming Bitcoin halving event in 2024 may also boost the market confidence & anticipation as it will reduce the inflation rate and increase the scarcity.

Some analysts & investors predict that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 or even higher before the next halving while others are more conservative & expect a gradual increase to $35,000 by the end of 2023.

A possible range for the Bitcoin price in August 2023 could be between $28,000 and $35,000.
817  Economy / Economics / Re: All millions are from real estate. on: August 12, 2023, 06:19:32 PM
Real estate can be a fantastic investment for several reasons. It normally appreciates in value over time allowing you to build equity and potentially earn a profit when you decide to sell. Real estate can provide a steady stream of passive income through rental properties. It also offers tax benefitssuch as deductions on mortgage interest and property taxes. However like any investment, success depends on factors like market conditions, location, & thorough research. It's always wise to seek advice from professionals in the field to make informed decisions.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Appeal may take away XRP recent gains. Here is why on: August 12, 2023, 05:50:46 PM
The SEC are always trying to screw crypto investors. They can’t harm bitcoin too much so they try to take out altcoins. They try to brand everything as a security. Hopefully in a couple of years, mass adoption has occurred & the majority of people are invested in crypto. The SEC will be utterly powerless then to stop the tsunami of young, new age investors.
819  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As an undergraduate, is it advisable to invest my trustfund in Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2023, 08:06:21 PM
As an undergraduate investing in BTC can be a risky decision. While BTC has shown potential for significant gains it is also known for its volatile nature. It's important to consider your financial situation, risk tolerance & investment knowledge before making any investment decisions. It may be wise to consult with a financial advisor or do thorough research to understand the potential risks & rewards involved with Bitcoin investment.
820  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: August 11, 2023, 03:21:40 PM
BTC is my retirement savings. It is the best performing asset of the last 10 years. It would he negligent not to allocate some of your money to bitcoin. I don’t see BTC slowing down in adoption so please, protect yours & your families wealth by investing a % of your wealth in BTC.
