Hey everyone! Thank you to all who've paid. Just busy finalising sponsor, and tweaking the odds-based event form with the expert hand of joker_josue. I'll try and give a quick response to some qs:

@notblox1 deadline, preferably, is 18 September, a week from now. However, I've already been asked if late payment is possible, and I'm going to say yes, on case by case. We don't want a situation where people "test" their performance and decide not to pay when they don't do well. Generally, if you've got an account in good standing, I'll accept late payment. Let's say no later than 2 October (Matchday 2). Anyone who commits but doesn't pay will take a hit to their reputation. =D

@slaman29 Last season we had 34 participants. ATM, we have 25 confirmed participants and 2 tentative. Feel free to spread the word!

@1miau For now, it doesn't look like we'll get yellow cap bonuses, but there will be other promotions, hopefully. Will be sure to update the details of that.

Sending my payment this weekend if I win some football and UFC bets.  Kidding...  Not gonna make any bets this coming weekend after a disaster of an event after Strickland winning as a 5 to 1 underdog.  Lol.  I had Adesanya on all my parlays as he was what degenerates call 'a lock'.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Mother fker.

Anyway yeah, happy to join everybody.  This is def the only pool I'm looking forward in joining this year as the format of the CL is more exciting than the league.  And let's see if City could win it back to back.

Hello guys im posting here regarding the rollbit casino locking my 7000$ deposit money.I opened the account normally and they asked for verification which i did and they just locked up my account without any info.I really hope someone can clear this up since i haven't played, thats just the deposit. All im asking is getting my money back. Thanks in advance.
Maybe it's just frozen/locked for the time being considering what you deposit is somewhat huge for a single transaction. You can read there AML policy here: https://rollbit.com/aml and I think it has explained to you on the email if how was your account was frozen. Just keep contacting them.

New users always know that forums are a great place to find help and attract attention even though we always ignore new users without complete information and cases. currently, every deposit of $2000 or more will require KYC this is a standard rule that applies to almost all casinos so there is no other way he has to go through KYC + 1x wagering before requesting a withdrawal both are ways to anticipate money laundering practices in casinos.

I saw an advice in a thread in the gambling discussion section that said it's prolly better to do your KYC stuff right away even before you make a deposit esp if you're planning on making a large deposit.  What this does is you make sure your ID and other docs are good and acceptable for the gambling site.

It's what I used to do when I was playing poker hard core back in the say and it's what I still do with crypto exchanges even if I don't have any plans to make any deposit right away.   I mean yeah I know the privacy stuff, they're out to get you, yadda yadda yadda...  But really, how are we supposed to avoid KYC these days?  Might as well just do it.  If you don't want to, then don't make a deposit.

^  Lol.  No need to 'build' a PC for a very old game.  Any decent hardware would do.  What you need to buy is a gaming mouse and a nice keyboard...  It doesn't have to be one of those keyboards with special key caps.  Most keyboards would do.  But yeah, gaming mouse is a must.  It just makes everything feel fast and accurate...  Makes it easier to micro.

I'm watching Ro16 Group C now.  No bets tho.  I lost some money with Adesanaya being on top of all my parlays.  Lol.  I thought I was gonna have a decent night.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

^  Yeah but main event is a title match tho.  So not bad for a Fight Night.  Another couple of guys to watch are Daniel Zellhuber and Roman Kopylov.  These guys could be future contenders.  A parlay of them both wouldn't be a bad idea imho.  Wink

Anyway, here's a free fight vid from their first match.  It's prolly the biggest upset in UFC history.  I think Shef was like a 10 to 1 favorite for the match.  :/

As for the Holland vs the JDM match up, I'm on the Holland side.  Could end with a sub.

Well deserved victory for Sean Stickland over Adesanya and he shocked the entire UFC universe by becoming champ last night! Now , I do think Adesanya will get his revenge and another title fight , but I really cannot see him defeating Sean if he doesn't come with a solid strategy because last night , he had none!  Grin
Israel maybe did not expect the boldness of Strickland in the fight, for Adesanya, he has a figure that he believes should be feared, but Strickland in the fight showed no fear. Israel will gang up and try to get back into another fight with him to try to regain his middleweight championship.

Israel has a better idea of what he will face in their next fight and will be very prepared for it.

Adesanya didn't expect how Strickland fought?  Don't think so...  It was the craziest part of the match imho.  Strickland brought totally nothing new and fought the same way he does in all of his matches.  Didn't bring anything unexpected and yet Adesanya looked like he wasn't prepared for it.  I mean wow...  How??

Anyway, here's the post fight conference guys...  Congrats to all you brave degens who took Strickland.

Careful with FortuneJack,
They seize funds without warning.

Huh?  Never had any problems with FJ, maybe a couple of late withdrawals but all of them were resolved after a little back and forth at chat and email...  Just like the problems I've had with fiat poker sites in the past.  All of them resolved and I was never scammed once.  Maybe I'm just lucky...  But gotta say, some of these scam accusations could be bs.

As expected another easy win for MAx.

Driver of the day, Sainz without any doubt. Today he has been a monster.

Yup...  Is Leclerc just not trying hard to get as much from his car anymore?  I feel like he's starting to fade and just want to get this season over and done with to start anew on 2024.  He says Ferrari promised him a really good car next year.  I think it's a crock of sht as the Ferrari brass just wants him to commit and sign a new long term contract.

But we'll see and I hope I'm wrong.  Seeing RBR winning a lot of podiums again next year would be meh.

Italian GP 2023:  Race Highlights
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd9eALWJRzY

Seeing how Leclerc has performed in the last few races, I quite agree with what you say. Leclerc doesn't look like he's trying any better with the car he drives. He seemed to be trying to play it safe, even though if he could play better he should be able to get a better position. I think if Sainz continues to get unfair treatment from Ferrari, maybe he will leave this team for a better team.

I don't think Sainz has ever received unfair treatment from Ferrari and in fact in this last race his radio message "Guys let's bring this home" was fully supported by the team which told Leclerc soon after, race to the end but let's not risk it.
I think that Leclerc got really nervous by this message and that is why he made those many mistakes which completely consumed his tires during his fight against Sainz,if he was a bit more calm I am pretty confident he would have passed Sainz in the end as Sainz was racing already with the tires gone.

@swogerino Ferrari wants to retain Leclerc why I don’t understand because he’s been a mediocre driver and has done nothing to earn an extension on his current contract. Lastly I agree with you’ll about Sainz and I personally feel that Ferrari should allow him now to take more leads because he’s actually doing well and can deliver unlike Leclerc who’s just not doing enough in my personal opinion.

Ferrari wants to get a hold of Leclerc in a long term contract because he's the only one they got right now.  Imagine if he just left and drove for some other team, and for spitballing's sake let's say Mercedes got him because Hamilton retired.  Who would get the drive?  There are no other drivers worthy out there to take the seat unless the driver's name is Max Verstappen.  And remember, this is Ferrari we're talking about.  They can't just take anybody without considering the marketability and popularity of the driver.

If they had the chance to sign Verstappen, pretty sure they would get rid of Leclerc in a heart beat.  Lol.  But with Verstappen it's prolly the whole package.  If you get Verstappen, you should also get Horner and Newey just like how they did it with Schumacher, Ross Brawn and the Benetton engineers.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2023, 12:20:45 PM
I see the leaderboard has finally shifted at the top, great job all you chasers as we approach the final quarter of the season. I'm still maintaining my position in 8th, just hope I'm more of a Piastri climbing up or even Leclerc, and not ending up like a Yuki and going out when the going gets tough haha. I had some people over at my place (Dutch) and while they're pleased with Max, they all seem to really like the way Tsunoda rubs off on them. Not sure if it's the same reason I liked him from last season (I have an underdog bias though).

Concur though that "best driver" is an argument that's as futile as GOAT drivel in football/sports/etc. I enjoy athletes, I love them all.

tokeweed man why isn't your ass in UCL pool?

Wait what?  I don't see any thread or announcement about any UCL pool.  That's the only football pool I wanna join this year.  Tourney format, midweek matches and the best clubs all over Europe.  Wink  Where do I sign up?

^  Wait, you saying that Verstappen is good just because of his car..?  Then why can't Perez make the drivers championship close?  I think right now, at this version of Verstappen, in the same car he'll edge out Sainz, Russell and Leclerc.  It's Hamilton who could really make it close imho.  But that's just me.

No but is the combination, Verstappen is the best driver or one of the best drivers in the best car.

When Perez is in a good day he also has 1 second lap time faster in races ahead of the other cars, so it is definitely the best car.

Verstappen is capitalizing on this car just like Vettel did before with the same team when he won 4 Championships, then Hamilton did the same with Mercedes where he won 6 Championships with them,1 with McLaren he had a long time ago in 2008.So as Sainz said,it is not Verstappen fault that he drives this well, each team had an equal chance of working on creating the best car,Redbull did it and now Verstappen is enjoying the benefits.

Redbull is the strongest car even by Lewis Hamilton when he said Max would not be enjoying himself so much if I was in the same car as him like he is enjoying now with Perez as a team mate.

I think we've seen how good and gutsy Verstappen is during the 2021 season when he went toe to toe against Hamilton in a slightly inferior car.  I think any other driver would have folded under the kind of pressure he brings on the track.  Verstappen was willing to get the gloves off and risk his race than accepting to be outraced by Hamilton.  It was a brilliant season win or lose.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 09, 2023, 12:09:39 PM
Nah man really...  Main event is weak, the co main event is weak and there's def no title implication for Volkov vs Tuivasa imho.  After Miocic, it could either be Aspinall or Pavlovich.  But I prefer Aspinall take a shot at it first before Jones retires.  I think he's the best UFC HW fighter behind Jon Jones.

I wouldn't say the main event is weak, but maybe not just big enough on its own to justify selling it as pay-per-view. Adding one more high-profile fight would do the trick, as currently it indeed looks a bit lacking.
For the middleweight title fight, they had no other option than to pick Strickland. Adesanya has already fought everyone in the top 5, some of them twice, except for Du Plessis, but he refused to fight on such short notice (and can't blame him).

Agree, there are only 3 exciting fighters in heavyweight right now: Jones, Aspinall and Pavlovich, who doesn't have a great style but has been incredibly effective so far.
However, if Miocic manages to get back to a decent form and can cause some trouble to Jones, he might be back in the game.

Yeah exactly...  Still the thing is everyone was expecting DDP to fight for the title vs Adesanya esp after the way DDP demolished Robert Whittaker at the second round in UFC 290.  But since DDP backed off like you pointed out and Adesanya still wanted to fight at 293, the UFC gave Strickland an opponent in Magomedov and made that as some sort of 'winner gets a title shot'.  :/  So here we are...  In a weak PPV.

Anyway, an event is still an event and these ones that we think are weak sometimes turn out to be bangers.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layerzero Speculation airdrop on: September 08, 2023, 01:02:52 PM
^  That's what many projects do.  It still doesn't stop a lot of guys from creating 1000 different wallets and make it their job to interact with the protocols to get their onchain activity up.  And it's funny cos you see these guys interact with the project more than a thousand times, yet their total transaction volume is less than 1000 USD.  Cheesy  And they're the ones who complain a lot.  Cheesy

How about this...  What if there were a ton of people who gamed the airdrop that made around 1k USD of volume that it won't make sense for Layer Zero Labs to give the ZRO tokens as it would fck up distribution.  Imagine giving people who own 10 or more wallets and all they'll do is dump their tokens and leave. ..

The upcoming airdrop will be no different from those that were before. Almost almost all those who received airdrop sell the received coins in the first minutes of listing on the stock exchange, since everyone knows well that after the pump, there will definitely be a dump.
that has always been the case that why some airdrops nowadays enforce sybil to eliminate the cheaters but even then its still not enough.
considering the most airdrop hunter sole purpose was gaining money doesn't matter if the project itself is falling then I could roughly guess as you said the dumping will take place in first minute, its kind of self fulfilling prophecy honestly, the airdrop hunter is dumping their coin because they know from looking at the history of the same similar airdrop it always dumping after some moment, but the reason its dumping is because the airdrop hunter itself just trying to dump it as fast as they can to avoid future dumping, but I think the developers of the project have already definitely calculated such possibilities.

It's frowned upon but dumping after receiving the airdrop is not the problem.  It's having people who control 100 wallets at a time to game as much of the airdrop as they can is the problem.  Project dev teams want token distribution to be as organic as possible through their airdrop.  It's hard to achieve that goal if you got just a few hundred guys controlling most of the supply.
831  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 08, 2023, 12:48:17 PM
sentiment check is better done on in a shorter time frame like daily not monthly because that is how quickly the market and the traders sentiment changes. the best evidence of it is the big candles we see on the charts regularly where people hear a certain news and FOMO.

i voted for sideways though.

Not really...  Most people aren't like schizos who change their sentiment every 24 hours or so at every news release.  Lol.  But what I do in these sentiment threads is open the poll for the first couple of weeks of the month to get the votes in, then lock the poll at the end of the second week to somewhat get what the sentiment is near the start of the month.  That way we get the sentiment for the month before we see what the market brings for the month.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Comparison between the Year vs Criteria of the Airdrops on: September 08, 2023, 12:39:24 PM

2024 - We will waiting for the very complicated criteria due to a lot of users. Otherwise, the allocation will be small. (Eg: Zksync, Layerzero)

Having lots of users is fine.  Bottom line there should be as much users as possible in using and testing these different projects and protocols.  But the problem is there are users who want to cheat the airdrop by making multiple accounts and some even hire the services of click farms to game a lot of volume.  :/  And what dev team wants their network to have a lot cheaters who don't use or won't really care about the project?

Anyway, Layer Zero is working with Nomis to filter their network from bots and cheats.

You could check your eligibility with Nomis if you're grinding for a Layer Zero airdrop.

I'm not saying the car has nothing to do with winning races but saying Verstappen isn't a brilliant driver and that Russell could beat him in the same car any day of the week is just wrong.  I mean Albon could beat Russell in some races in his Williams.

And about Schumacher, just like your argument about RBR's team, most of the engineering team at Benetton went with Schumacher at Ferrari.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 08, 2023, 12:12:23 PM
Idk. Can't expect Strickland can actually perform against Adesanya. He is gonna be KOed.
The prev conference wasn't so much fun, It would have been funnier if he told it to the press when Izzy was the Chinese champ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMdWyPGTDVk
He may beat Izzy up in trash talk but in the octagon, it's gonna be the other way around.

But come the day and Izzy will be showboating, it will be his defeat. And Sean adding salt as the thrash talk will be a lot worse after that.

At least Izzy did not fight Strickland before Cheesy At least something new in middleweight. Strickland can easily gain some weight and become a heavy hitter. Some random punch and Izzy's chin isnt made of stone (Pereira tested that). On the paper, Izzy is better than Strickland, but paper does not fight in octagon. People do. Who knows what could happen during the fight. Lucky cut, illegal hit. We have seen this year how champions fall from complete underdogs.

I'm just here for the build up for the main event with the pre fight press conference and the Embedded series.  Lol.  Other than that I think UFC 293 is kinda weak for a PPV event.  Main event isn't really interesting except for Strickland and his funny way of promoting the fight.  The co main event is Volkov vs Tuivasa..?  Are they setting up Tuivasa for the upset?  Dunno...

The other match ups are mostly City Kick Boxing boys and the rest of the world.  :/  All favorites should win except for a couple of underdogs mostly just like the last event in Paris.

Not a true UFC fan, get out Cheesy

Imho co-main event deserves proper attention. Who do we have in heavyweight today. Jon Jones who I think is about to retire. Miocic is somewhere around him also. So we have Gane, Pavlovich, Aspinall who seems to be the next champion. The winner of Tuivasa and Volkov imho are next to have either a title shot in next fight or in one fight. Imho Volkov gonna win, as the fight looks like a copy of Gane vs Tuivasa fight. Volkov gonna feed tons of front kicks to Tuivasa body, and Tuivasa does not plan to become a champ (he just likes to smash faces), so he wont push much. Either a TKO in round 2 or 3, or decision by Volkov.

835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Launchpad Tokens on: September 07, 2023, 01:23:29 PM
I Participated in Hook and ID airdrops and earned a decent amount of profits. So most of the users sold the tokens after the airdrop. Another thing is we are in the bear market now. So the tokens will be dumping heavily.  Bitcoin needs to up for the reverse of the above 03 token patterns.

I'm pretty sure they sold.  A lot of these airdrops are gamed and botted to death by people who have more than 100 accounts and somewhat do airdrop hunting for a living.  I respect the grind but the devs of these projects should be aware of what's going on and do preventive measures to stop it or at least minimize the airdrop getting gamed.

Layer Zero is working with Nomis to find bots that are trying to cheat L0's airdrop.  And from their site I think zkSync will too.  You can get your Layer Zero and zkSync scores at Nomis' site.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layerzero Speculation airdrop on: September 07, 2023, 01:02:39 PM
^  Looks like the Layer Zero devs teamed up with Nomis to help filter their list of eligible people who'll get into the airdrop.  You guys can check their announcements on Twitter and check out how to get what your scores are.  I got 51/100 which is enough to be eligible for an airdrop.  And just as I said, I used a couple of L0 protocols a few times when I really needed to and made more than 10k USD of volume.  Didn't really expect to get in but I had a feeling I would like I did with the ARB airdrop.

Anyway, I heard more than 10k wallets are marked for botting and the count is going up as we speak.
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 07, 2023, 12:47:27 PM
^  It might be another September red candle or we're due for a green one.  Wink Wink Wink  We really can't tell with these things.  No matter how hard we try to make the right predictions, all we can really do is make the trade and hope we're right.  All we can really control is when and where to take our stop loss.

Anyway looks like the sentiment is split between sideways and up.  I'm on the same boat.  I think we're due for a leg up.
And with that, we can either just continue to buy or just hold the bitcoin. No point of selling it in September or when the price is not really looking good. I'm no trader though, so I'm not looking for stop loss or something.

I'm just an average joe who buy when I can afford and just hold. Because as per my experience, and for sure we all know this, that once we enter the bull run, no one can stop us from reaching all time high. And most likely it will be 2024-2025 bull run for all of us. So just be patience this month, and look for the long term.

Don't take what I say here itt as financial advice or something to do with some sort of trading strategy.  The point of this these monthly threads I make is really just as a sentiment check.  I just want to know how are you guys feeling about BTC and the market overall.

And some of you guys might be thinking what's the point of all this...  I'd say because it's fun!  And it's good to always keep tabs with the market imho.

Chelsea will have to come good at some point. There is far too much talent in that squad for them to not recover and let us not forget they are managed by Pochettino. His management skills will be enough to bring stability but he will need time.

Newcastle United have the chance to increase goal difference in their next game. West Ham United vs Manchester City, that will be the big game of the weekend.

Chelsea needs to do it now or the negative momentum for them is gonna be a btch.  The negativity is gonna creep in and spread to the whole squad and before you know it fans are flying 'Poch Out' banners at home fixtures.  Cheesy  Kidding about the Poch Out banners but we've seen what happened to Tuchel and Potter...  Two capable managers who could win the league imho.

So yeah, their next match should be a good get back on track spot even if it's an away fixture.

I need to look into some of these, as well as L1s, but still feel like it's too early to be speculating with any satoshis on any altcoins yet. Maybe sometime end of the year or early next year will be a good time. Any of these newer project could dump hard, especially if Bitcoin corrects further, so not interested in anything quite yet. Be nice to have another few 10/50x coins next year though.

Some of them look like they have decent looking charts and there are some ok spots to be taken advantage of for making a little something something.  Wink  But hard to expect a coin that'll go 5x - 10x in a span of a couple of months in this kind of market.  I'd be happy to get my 2x, thanks very much.  If there's any, that is...  Cheesy  And there's all the...  How do I say this, I guess 'bad stuff' going on all over.  So yeah people are prolly reluctant to play the crypto gambling game.  Grin
