Phoenix ML @2.78 vs NorthPort
Phoenix +4.5 @1.95 vs NorthPort

^^ My bet for the second game, hoping that i can recover my first game lose.

Unfortunately it didn't hit because Northport were able to dominate Phoenix by beating them in a 19 points margin. I was also thinking that the game should be close, but it turns out it has become a one sided game. Anyway, that's normal in gambling, you win some and you lose some.
That's how unpredictable games are, the only predictable in this tour is that Magnolia will remain undefeated while TNT at the same time would remain winless. Well, they also break that during their last game against ROS but they still fell short, so that long streak continues.

By the way, it seems like no one is talking about Kai Sotto's performance in his first game in the summer league, he was given good minutes to showcase his skills and AFAIR, he had like 6 points, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks in just 13 minutes of playing time.
Everyone is talking about this young NBA prospect. And you are right with the stats stated, it's very positive so the fans are optimistic that he'll continue to be given minutes because of what he showed.  Who knows, Kai could be a big reason on why Magic would finally have a W.

822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 14, 2023, 03:03:54 PM
The torch has been passed down, Manny Pacquiao did his time and now while Donaire is still active, he got that responsibility to wave the Filipino flag again and be the second Filipino champion to exist this year. It will be a rocky road because father time is really catching up on him but Donaire is not yet ready to give up his dreams and will attempt again the secure the belt, besides, I know that he got this fight because his opponent is not the kind of boxer who can finish him with a surprise.

He is rank next to Pacman in terms of achievements in boxing and popularity, it's just sad that Donaire is already at the peak of his career, we all know he can still fight but eventually, win or lose, he would still make a decision to hang his gloves. As Donaire said in the past, he would like to retire as a champion, so I'm hoping he'll win this fight and maybe aim bigger like retiring after becoming a unified champion at least.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 13, 2023, 01:27:23 PM
I have to admit that sometimes I do the opposite of "Lack of Loss Chasing" as well, even though I have most of the other signs listed. Out of the 10 signs, I only exhibit 1/10, so I can still consider myself relatively unaddicted to gambling. Many of us have made mistakes while gambling and blamed ourselves for the lack of discipline. However, as we learn from those mistakes, we become more responsible. It's crucial to recognize that time is valuable, and we shouldn't wait until we have lost everything before learning from our mistakes. That would indeed be unwise.
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 13, 2023, 12:33:54 PM

Let see after this upcoming fight, if how he will manage to bring his skills and capabilities, if he can still make a win
as most of the fans expecting him to be, then his future decision might be announced.

I think this upcoming fight is important for him because he cannot afford to lose 2 straight fights at this age and that would only mean no other than retiring from boxing since it will be clear to him that he cannot box anymore and he needs to step down in order to give chance for the others to show their skills and also make names for themselves. But if he is able to show that he completely dominates his opponent, then retiring is not yet an option rather he will gonna continue to fight until he will no longer has the ability to do so just like Muhammad Ali and the others.
He clearly understands that, and I believe he will retire once he loses in this fight. It has been shared before that, according to Donaire, as long as he doesn't face an opponent with the same power as his or Inoue, he will be good. This shows how confident he is in his division and his belief that he can become a champion again. So, let's trust our man and support him in his journey.
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 13, 2023, 11:04:35 AM

I wonder how high the Ngannou via KO prop will be lined at.  Grin  If Fury is lined at 1.11 to win the match then that could mean Ngannou could be lined around 8.00 - 9.00?  So his KO prop would prolly be lined at around 12.00 - 15.00.  I'd say that's a good value bet if you're for Ngannou.

But yeah...  I'm rooting for Ngannou to win and get the upset.  Lol.  I think that would for sure be the most entertaining result even for boxing fans.  Everybody loves an underdog.

Yeah. Fury is due a humbling too. I will for sure put on some bets for Ngannou to win by KO or maybe even first round KO if the odds are good.

Wow, I'm surprised that you have faith in Ngannou to win by KO. While he is undoubtedly talented, personally, I would be cautious about betting against a legitimate boxing champion. I wouldn't be attracted to taking that risk, even if the KO prop odds are around 12.00-15.00. Instead, I would be interested to know the KO prop for Fury to win by first-round KO.

828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 12, 2023, 01:11:18 PM
-snip-
TNT +21.5 @1.85 vs ROS[/b]

I've decided to bet on the TNT because of that wide spread, that is too much that i think they can cover that one easily.
I see that TNT has a bigger chance of winning and under Jojo Lastimosa NTN is developing quite well.
Justin Chua and Carl Bryan Cruz will be my favorites to make TNT win over ROS.
Hopefully what is expected can actually be achieved with TNT's victory they can continue into the next series.

There's no doubt that TNT is considered a good team. However, let's take a look at the current situation. We are in the PBA on tour where games may not hold as much importance as in the regular season. So far, this supposed good team is still winless, indicating that they have been struggling significantly.

You can confirm this by checking the standings at https://pba.ph/standings, where they currently hold a record of 0-6.

As of now, TNT is leading the game, indicating that they may not want to end this tour winless. They are currently ahead by 4 points and in the 3rd quarter. Based on what you're seeing, it appears to be their best game thus far, considering that ROS has a good standing and yet TNT is competing well against them.

If TNT does win, I'm curious about the moneyline odds for the game. With the game heading into the 4th quarter as a close contest, there's a decent chance that we might witness an upset tonight. bisdak's bet is already a winner since there's no way that +21.5 would still result in a loss with only one quarter remaining. The only remaining question is whether TNT will be able to secure a victory or not.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte II on: July 12, 2023, 12:05:12 PM
Lol, even at the press conference, Dillian Whyte ask Eddie Hearn what's the taste of Joshua's ball. Because obviously, Hearn is still on Joshua's bandwagon and wanted to resurrect his career because admit it or not,  he is not longer in his prime with back to back loses to Usyk.

It could have been great if Hearn would answer "salty",  Cheesy.

But he says that Whyte will have to find it out during their fight.
Anthony Joshua needs to win this fight to meet Deontay Wilder which will be a new down in his challenged career but Dillian Whyte can spoil his day. Derek Chisora who was knocked out by Whyte in 2018 is predicting that although Joshua will find it difficult to win the fight but he would eventually will the match. He is predicting that Joshua will have a slow start but he will gradually improve in the game. One of the reasons he gave for Joshua's difficulty is the long flight from his training ground in Texas to Vegas before taking another eight hours flight to London. Chisora said that the long flights will make him tired which will be an advantage to Dillian Whyte who is training in Florida.

source

I guess this fight doesn't need to last long. Typically, in heavyweight fights, the match often ends early due to their knockout power and the potential fatigue that comes with their size as the rounds progress. However, if the fight were to last longer, I believe the advantage would be with the younger boxer, which in this case would be AJ.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 12, 2023, 02:00:22 AM
It seems like an exhibition fight. I checked Fury's record on https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/479205, but that specific fight was not listed, perhaps it hasn't been updated yet. Regardless, I believe this fight will be a one-sided beatdown dominated by Fury. Ngannou is primarily a UFC fighter, and they will be competing under the rules of boxing, where Fury is currently considered the best in his division though maybe not officially since Usyk owned 3 belts in the same division.
831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late for newbies? on: July 11, 2023, 09:47:55 PM
Hello guys,
I'm happy to be part of this community, and so far I've realized that everyone is more experienced than me, so I don't know how logical it is to ask this question, but I'll ask it anyway.

Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin?

All my friends are talking about cryptocurrencies, but I still can't wrap my head around it. What would you recommend for someone who has no previous experience? Do any of you have resources that you can recommend to me that will explain cryptocurrencies in the shortest and most simple way?
If you have any success stories you would like to share, I would be very grateful if I could benefit from them as well...
Know that those who became experienced and skilled investors by now have started from scratch but they chose to educate theirselves and take the risk. And now everything has paid off. So it might also happen for you if you start to be fearless and start taking risk from investing because you will never achieve something big in your life if you stay hesitant and fearful all the time.

Now is the right time to invest as there’s no late from bitcoin investment. You can start to educate yourself and do your own diligence to study the forum before you decide to invest and risk some funds.
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things that influence our trading decisions on: July 11, 2023, 09:17:12 PM
* Emotions in trading
This is very common and I can give my own example and own experience for this:

For example, you entered a trade and before you entered a trade you already have the plan for an entry price, stop loss price, and exit price.
The position is already open and you are already in profit suddenly you saw some news or post on social media which causes a price drop, and then you panic and feel to close your trade immediately even if the stop loss price is not yet met.

See? Your emotion ruined your trade position even you already plan everything before you open a trade.
Emotions in trading is something that we can’t easily get rid of especially if you are weak and easily fall on your dumb emotions. But know that when you enter trading, the more you rely and get hold of your emotions, the more you will doom to failure and losses. That’s the reason why you need to stick with your original plan and not settle on taking a new plan, otherwise you will face inevitable losses because of your hard to control emotions.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2023, 02:18:12 PM

I think they will have the first dibs in the Summer League, those who sign and most likely going to play in the NBA.

And I read that there is a big hype, or at least Filipinos are waiting to see Kai Sotto to play in the Summer league? But so far he hasn't seen action and continue to be bench by the Orlando Magic.

The hype is big because we all know that Filipinos are basketball crazy nation and they want to see their first man to play in the NBA.

In the Philippines, you only see a few football fans because what matters there is Basketball, especially the NBA. that's why when they first heard that Kai Sotto will be playing in the NBA Summer League bloggers hype the nation by making multiple contents out of that news and that's why Pilipinos are super excited seeing him play because they were hyped just before the start of the summer league. If they will see Kai Sotto playing just for a few minutes on the court, I'm sure it will be crazy excitement just like a Manny Pacquiao fight in his prime.

I believe in that hype because we are very optimistic that we will see a first full-blooded Filipino in the NBA, however, the way it looks now, it seems like it's not gonna be easy for Kai, but he just has to continue pursuing his ambition. Also, we cannot compare Kai to Pacman as everyone knows Pacman while only those basketball enthusiast knows Kai Sotto.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte II on: July 11, 2023, 01:38:38 PM
So it was Wilder first then Fury later if ever AJ beats Wilder?  I think it is more convenience for AJ to head on straight and fight Fury.

AJ would be lucky to beat Wilder. We have to remind him that only Fury had defeated Wilder and prior to his defeat, he was the best in the heavyweight with a high KO rate, so I would be surprised if AJ would beat Wilder because I think the other way around would occur.
835  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: July 08, 2023, 06:56:15 PM
I agree that getting an experience on the planned business is the best thing if the goal is just a single proprietorship.  Having the knowledge of a business and personal experience on how it operates is a must.  MBA does not teach that instead it was created for a more complex form of business establishment like corporation.  So if a person planned to just setup a simple business then it is better to have a personal experience than MBA.
It’s good to get an MBA prior to business investing and managing. However, that will never guarantee its success as the best key to success is through experience that will hone your skills and strategies to make your business work and successful. One thing that even if you are the most knowledgeable on the said business, you will never be reliable enough to bring success to your business, as knowledge alone becomes futile without application and it’s mastery.
836  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: July 08, 2023, 06:29:21 PM
We regret about missing Bitcoin, then about XRP then about Ethereum then Doge then Shiba then Pepe (these are some top of my head and from what I've come across in my crypto term).

Point being there are always new opportunities and dwelling on regrets is futile.

Yeah, I missed Bitcoin, as well as all the altcoins you mentioned, plus a whole lots of others, if I were to start numbering them, I can't really arrive at a figure that is certain.
But yeah, you are right, sitting and regretting all the opportunities missed in crypto will only mean one thing, and that is the fact that you will end up missing even more opportunities, it is futile to dwelling on regrets, what is gone is gone, and no amount of regrets will bring it back, it's like some one losing his or her relationship to death, no amount of crying or tears will bring the dead back to live.

Life have to go on, opportunity will always come and go, if you missed one, better get up and position yourself properly to take advantage of the next one coming, regretting and crying over a closed door, will only make you not notice the doors that are open, until they are closed also.
Well said. Regretting is part of investing. Once you misplaced an opportunity into its disadvantage, then you will never totally take advantage of them but end up regretting. However, that’s normal for us as we are still susceptible from making mistakes and wrong decision making in life at some point in our lives. At least from there, we should need to move forward and learned what we need to learn. Regrets, no matter how hard you cry, no matter how often you blame yourself, those lost opportunities will never come again. But there will always be new rays of hope and opportunities for those who are willing to take risk and take advantage every bit of it.
837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one of this is important most? on: July 08, 2023, 05:58:51 PM
<...>
merits and reputation which one of this is more important in the forum?.

Merit and reputation are not directly related to each other, but both are an important part of your online presence on this forum. Merits are like recognition for your positive contribution in discussions and sharing of quality information. You need them to rank your account, if that is important to you. Reputation, on the other hand, is about your trust. A good reputation means that other members trust you, or had positive experiences with you, be that as a trader or as a person. A bad reputation means that people are less likely to trust you and may be wary of dealing with you.

I agree with this that both merit and reputation are totally different but are important and should always compliment each other. While you need to get merits because that will increase your rank or position, building your  good reputation too is a must because that will determine if you can be a trusted and significant member, or just like anybody else who’s focus is for your selfish desires only. At least, you need to respect others so you can be respected, and you need to share quality information as that would mean helping other members in the forum. That way, you will gain good reputation and unlimited merits in less time.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin experience a more price increase during the halving? on: July 08, 2023, 05:42:47 PM
The explanation you've made is right. It's simple as that, the more Bitcoin being held by individuals together with the institutions. That means that there's lesser in the circulation and that makes bitcoin more scarce. I do remember IIRC last bull run, there's even the limitation on how much everyone can buy Bitcoin off exchanges. And that's possible to happen again when the demand has increased, the law of supply and demand has always been applied on this market.
Exactly. Most likely, when bitcoin halving comes near, people prepare to buy more bitcoin and accumulate a lot of it to fill in their portfolio, and that includes having the institutions around that ultimately support and adopted bitcoin. Hence, bitcoin investment will be very prominent leaving them more scarce which means increases the price of every bitcoin. With that, as demand becomes higher, the supply becomes limited, which makes bitcoin more costly and expensive to buy.
839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not limits your investment... on: July 07, 2023, 09:59:09 PM
I saw something on a friend of mine iPhone I was amazed, this guy has 3 pieces of bitcoin but he didn't look it when you look at him with mere eyes, I ask him how he has come this far, he told long ego he was seriously investing on all kinds of coins with little amount of bitcoin but then most of those coins help him to realized enough amount to buy more bitcoin because that was his primary target. He normally buys those zero value coins when they appreciates it will be enough money, and that's how he convert and swag all to bitcoin and today, he has 3 piece. Is good to be diversified in your investment, somedays something good will come out of one you don't expect.
It’s always good to diversify your investment especially if that were also profitable investments as well. One thing that is not possible with altcoins these days since we have seen how their prices have plummet every now and then and would even hardly to recover. So instead of altcoins, why not invest on other investments as well like gold or stocks, or invest in landed properties and use them for business to maximize the profits. That way, bitcoin will not only be your source of income but also these additional investments that you trying to make them work.
840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The exit plan on: July 07, 2023, 09:29:36 PM
As a crypto investor that desire to make huge profit through Cryptocurrency, there is 100% need to know what exit plan is and how to effect it appropriately. I know most of us are not too experience in the Crypto line and it is best to learn from those with this experiencial knowledge.

To all experienced Bitcoin investors, kindly share your experience with us, let's learn and become expose to the reality and strategy before the next bull run. This is another means to help young investors like us.
What are your exit plan and what exit plan have you used that work well for you.
Every investor has its own exit plan and that’s when you decide to sell because your target of making profits is now very visible but I don’t think investors will stick to that knowing once there are still opportunities to be in profits, investors will keep on chasing for it. However, it also depends on you on whether to sell right away when there is visible profits or just continue to accumulate and maximize your bitcoin investment. That way, you will have a lot to sell and gain once the bullish season takes over the market.
