I really am hoping we shoot right past 69k and pop the 70k bubble in a few hours.
843  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2024 Diff thread happy New Years. on: March 04, 2024, 05:34:45 PM
The only difference in the image is that they both drive nearly the same car

Those small players you talking about are sitting on the sideline, they can't play the chicken game, I am talking about those large players who are equally strong, I am under the assumption that at least 80% of the total hashrate is controlled by a few large firms, we the average joes are just nothing, those large players are the ones playing the game of chicken, they all know that the market post halving as is won't be able to facilitate all of them the same way it does today.

If Rioat expands it would be at the expense of Mara, Core or Bitfarms, and the same thing applies to all of them, crushing the small players isn't going to solve the issue for all of them, it's like 50 hungry people sharing the same cake and 3 cats are eating the little pieces that drop on the ground (the small miners are the cats), half the cake is going to disappear, there is no way all of them will be able to eat the same amount unless some of them leave the table or start eating less, it's going to be a cold war between all of these large players and we the cats will just keep watching till some of them leave the table so we can go back to collecting the little topping the drops on the floor. Cheesy

yeah has to be 75% or more are in the hands of under a dozen companies .

as nice as 67k seems we are still not as good as it was in December. we were 13 cents a th which was enough price to handle the 1/2 ing we are at 11.26 cents a th not good enough for the 1/2 ing

846  Economy / Speculation / Re: All time High has been broken! on: March 04, 2024, 02:05:32 PM
I’ve been watching this actually and am surprised at how many currencies are seeing new highs in BTC.

Mee too. We are so Dollar-centred on this forum that it's easy to forget that other currencies exist. And I didn't realise that USD had gained so much against others.

What I found most interesting about this data is that the Mexican Peso seems to be the best performing currency lately. I won’t say why that is, but I think it very likely has something to do with the current immigration situation.

Haha. There could be some truth to it. Loads of people send USD back to Mexico, where they get exchanged for pesos driving up its value.
Or maybe it's just due to Mexico having a clumsy central bank, which is slow to react to market conditions. After all, the strengthening of a currency is not necessarily good for the economy and usually has a negative impact on export.

yeah it does show the dollar is still a solid fiat.

65k so very close.

I sold a tiny slice at 65k.

848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: March 04, 2024, 04:55:06 AM

I just want to share this with my fellow bettors.
Have you ever taken such a huge risk on gambling before?
Yesterday I experienced what I have never experienced before but I am very much happier because my risk wasn't in vain.

A friend of mine sold her bet to me 20k Nigerian naira and I bought it because there was a cash-out on the bet, and the cash out was 20k Nigerian naira.
Besides, the games are 21 in total and 19 out of the games have entered so the games was remaining just 2 and that was why I bought the bet with a whole 20k Nigerian naira.

This is the highest risk I have ever taken on gamble.  :)Why I called this the highest risk was because if the remaining 2 games lose I will be the loser and not my friend, so that risk was very terrible but I just have to take the risk because I already have in mind that you can not win if you do not risk. But to cut long story short, I win the bet, this was like sharing the money equally with my friend.
So have you ever taken such a risk on gambe before?

I bet $3 usd on a trifecta in a horse race it hit and I collected $1860 for the $3 dollars.  thats about 620 to 1

I bet 35-45 Aus dollars on daily double and trifecta in an australia 🇦🇺 racetrack.

I collected 6800 Aus dollars and cashed them in for 5200 Usd.

These were my two best bets.

I'm gonna get fired on the first day.  Cheesy

Looks good, and it seems like your second day.. or would it be day and a half.. since the first table that you posted was a lot shorter than the current one. ..

In any event, you seem to be laying out the information pretty well (readable), getting a hang for it, and there is probably a lot more work getting used to it.., which several of us (including but not limited to yours truly) don't know how to do it... so thanks for jumping into the void...
Thank you. Smiley

I won't let you down boss!  Speaking of readability, any one have opinions on formatting?  Leave it alone, smaller text, switch red and green?  it's interesting how the numbers 1 to 99 are right justified, but then 100...is not.  I also noticed that yefi, underlined the recent high.  What's that you say?  *looks over shoulder*  Oh hi! Wow. Nobody is changing anything.   Wink  Thanks!

I am color blind red and green can be a real struggle for me.

Bold Black for all of 2024 is good.

Red for the actual day if it makes it is good.

03-03-24 you have in red correct?

Bitcoin could break ATH upcoming week. Smiley

I also have this believe but if you look the market currently you would know that the selling pressure is actually holding back the market from breaking out $64k to $65k above, the buying pressure is low meaning some early investor are taking profits.
lol  Smiley

Which "early" investors who already hodled through 69k are selling below that number now?  There's simply no way that happens on this earth.  Do you mean "early" as in 'early this year"?

A nov 2022 that got in at 16k can make a solid profit . buy a coin at 16k

sell .5 coin at 62k.

you turned 16 k into 31k and still have 0.5 btc

Do you think a celebrity who turns down a multi-million dollar deal solely because the organization doesn't allow him smoking weed is a reckless financial decision?
Keep in mind this definition of reckless financial decision - It entails when a person makes choices that involve significant financial risk or lack of consideration for the potential consequences.

What other reckless financial decision do you know or have heard of?

Yes the multi-million dollar company has made an extremely poor choice by attacking weed.

Interested to know the companies name so I can boycott them.

It is amazing to see no one else is angry at the company for being foolhardy and stupid.

I personally do not do weed anymore but if I want to go back at least I live in a state (New Jersey) that

allows it.
