Ironically, they're the ones laundering & counterfeiting our money. That is harming all of us. They are literally taking half of our paycheck and using it to bomb children in Palestine. My question to that is , how you can prove that you do this just to increase your privacy ? Please tell us your full name, phone number, where you live, how much money you have and share us your transaction history. If you do not because you consider this information private, can you please prove to us you are innocent? No. You do not have to. The default position is innocence. You are not guilty until proven guilty. Not in every country just some. |

As each halving is passing and this block reward decrease has started sounding like a big deal to me. Does anyone else also see individual satoshi becoming valuable in future?
No. I think BTC tops out at 10 to 15 million.. Which means 15 cents per sat. Check my math. 0.00000001. 100 million sats to a coin . so 100mill x 15 cents you got a 15 million dollar coin. with a 15 cent sat. maybe in 2050 to 2060 it happens. |

Hi, I recently got a shout (you know, oversized text in big-bold letter) by one of the usual thread polluting creatures that we have to live with in the forum calling me "criminal". Is this all right with the rules of the forum? do we need to live with this just because we want to have a discussion? Firstly stuff like 5 people being killed in a knife attack doesnt happen in Ireland so it has
received a lot of attention.
We have a lot of immigrants here and generally they are law abiding.
The incident of the knife attack which sparked off the riots was reported falsely by people
with an agenda. It was spread over messaging apps that the perpetrator was an Illegal
immigrant when in fact he was an Irish citizen living here for 20 years.
Just like a lot of other EU countries there is a very small minority who are spreading false
information and taking advantage of other peoples frustrations.
Irish people have been emigrating to the UK and the US since the potato famine of
the mid 1800's, and they were largely unwelcome then.
It saddens and angers me that a lot of people here have forgotten the similarities
of then and now.

In what wonderful world would someone give you a "discount" to do you a favour? What are we earning to help you? 10% commission?  No offence. But i think that you are living in different world. People who like to convert their balance or gift card, do orders for others in order convert their balance into cash. I think you have never heard of purse.io which got closed recently. I have been getting my orders fulfilled on purse.io since a long time and getting good discounts. But now they have closed their operations, thats why i am trying to reach people here. So basically you want to buy gift cards at a discount. you should ask for that. we have had amazon gift card sellers that were honest and on this site. Not gift card. Gift cards have lot of issues and most of the time they get blocked after redeeming them if purchased with any suspicious method. If someone has genuine gift card so he may use them to order for me. no one will do that at a discount on this website. |

Fortunately, the government cannot shut down Bitcoin, and it is in no one’s power to shut down Bitcoin. I am very sure that if the government could do that, they would have probably done that a long time ago (rather than just Banning it). In general terms, I think it’ll take the rise of a new innovation that is greater than Bitcoin to rise for Bitcoin to be considered as being shutdown. But what could be more than such cashless money with so much value… I see nothing except Bitcoin.
I have a question what is the government. We have many many many countries with many many many rulers. can a government declare it illegal? the answer is yes any government can do that. Some have. Let's talk murder. All governments have declared murder illegal (yeah I know most killings are declared illegal not all just must. Yet we have killings . So if every government said btc was illegal we may have some btc but less than now. I just do not think every government will do this. |

That's true, however I agree with @pooya87 in this: it's all about greed. Many of those people don't comprehend they are burning their money, they think they invest it into something others will buy very expensive someday soon. quite frankly you are deciding it has no value. who the fuck are you to do that? I say this in the spirit of friendship not meanness. I hated Andy Warhol's Campbell soup series back in the 60's I was a kid but I used to go to the metropolitan museum of art often as a family outing. I liked the Italian Renaissance painter and realism. I thought Warhol was trash and garbage. Pretty loft opinions for a 10 year old Italian American from Brooklyn. Well I turned out to be completely wrong about Andy Warhol. So in that spirit I am just saying who the fuck are you or who the fuck is anyone to say it will be worthless in the year 2056 or 2066. Back to the real issue. Scrypt makes 12 blocks every 10 minutes sha256 makes 1 so LTC/Doge are 12x better to move small moves. ordinals may be how they are doing this now. They will find other ways to do it later. the 12x to 1 volume advantage is not being addressed which is why ordinals are doing a job at the moment. |

Within the debate that is going on here about whether people do not care about their privacy, whether they will adopt CBDCs and whether we in this forum are an exception in caring about these issues, I wanted to ask: what do you think about the fact that in this forum there are people who work for a mixer, in the signature campaign, and deposit the funds they receive directly into Binance? (see an image in the link) Some user included me, received message from Binance that we recieved fund from Sinbad signature Escrow address and we have to give cleanliness that from where we recieved fund and what is our relationship with address owner.
I don't find the idea of receiving the payment and directly depositing it in a CEX like Binance, where you will be fully KYC'd, despite the fact that you are advertising a privacy tool, very coherent to say the least. Well many will not use a mixer but advertise it. Much like my late father-in-law he owned a bar and bartended 6 days/night a week. Yet he did not drink. I personally advertise a mixer as I no longer trust the USA government. I believe they have drifted far off track in the last 30 years. A constant failure of leadership and budgets year after year. But I am Locked into the system my wife and I get 3 federal pensions so I personally do endless KYC. Younger people can look at me and realize if privacy works for them they may want to try it out. So much like my late father-in-law I do not 'drink' |

Here are the viable solutions that I have found to be working till date:
1. Use an altcoin for the time being. LTC, DOGE are good options if you dont want to stretch it.
2. Use SegWit if not already and learn how to use the Lightning Network along with its arguments and counter-arguments. There is a lot of pro/anti voice surrounding LN in this forum.
3. Just wait it out - might not be feasible for everyone though.
4. ViaBTC accelerator is the only working one.
In this context I would like to raise a question on how do you confirm that an accelerator service actually helped your transaction speedup or was it just a placebo effect? The second one has been exploited by certain unscrupulous users of this forum essentially extorting users of money by doing nothing in the name of speeding up transactions - their prevalence has dropped but they still operate and we need some concrete argument to stop them once and for all.
Well it is simple use viabtc free service correctly . which means under 500kb size which means 2 inputs or 1 input Pay 11 sats per byte not per v/byte--- at the moment this would never ever ever clear. other than using viabtc service and wait for via btc to hit a block look for your tx in it. it works. all others are bullshit. I have pushed hundred of them free on viabtc since 2016. |
