1741  Economy / Economics / Re: China's real-estate sector is NOT doing well, it might bring whole economy down on: November 24, 2023, 08:11:45 PM
They have a huge population, so that's why the price for real estate is insanely high. They can only rent an apartment, even better share a room with other people to make the cost cheaper.

I don't think it will bring the whole economy down, they will be forced to live with less money and as long as they can accept it, they will make the country rich.

Sadly China is not welcome for LGBTQ+ because gay or trans women can't give a birth, this is just a joke although it's also somewhat correct lol.

an untouched lesbian can make babies if they are young say 50 or less.

cut transgender are sterile but they may have save eggs or sperm or fertilized embryos.
1742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked, lost 11 BTC on: November 24, 2023, 08:08:24 PM
The OP has yet to provide a signed message from the supposed addresses that were hacked, and even if he does, it's still not 100% valid proof that the money was indeed stolen, as it can be a transaction conducted by himself. With that being said, I have my doubts regarding the validity of this story. Why would anyone have 11 Bitcoins on his Windows 11 laptop, which can be accessed by other people in their household? Anyone with such an amount of money would simply buy a hardware wallet for $100 or at least have isolated his wallet on a Linux OS.

I'm sorry but it sounds like an episode in things that never happened, if I'm wrong, then I'm sorry for your loss, no one deserves it, even if they neglected their safety.

if that is a true story and the 11 btc are more than half  his btc he asked for it and he got it.

Just because I leave the campaign doesn't mean I won't continue trying to surpass your weekly number of posts. It's not easy, but I'll try.
I'll be watching!  Cool

Let me be the first to congratulate you on winning this crazy race in your last week here!  Grin. You both are monsters hitting 100++ posts in a week.

Yeah cant win them all.

joker is a good poster.

Hoping we straighten out payments by next week.

It was difficult... I couldn't overcome it for several weeks. I finally got this one. Cool
But, I'm going to keep an eye on it, I'm not going to let you watch.  Tongue

@Royse777 Don't worry, they will give you a positive answer!

busy with the mine and holidays and of course my bro-in-law

Thanksgiving day $16k #Bitcoin in 2022 vs $37k Bitcoin in 2023 https://t.co/jNquwux9yl

Thats more than 200% rise!!

Hoping to see btc go 70k + in 2024!!

Not hugely invested in btc right now but i think if it hits the 40k mark this year thats a good entry point for me

so you rather buy at 40k+ than 37-38k?

why not get at 37 then 38 39 and 40
1745  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2023 Diff thread now opened. on: November 24, 2023, 07:51:35 PM
Is there really a Malaysia factory? I have read articles that one is used to get around trump tax.

Yes they do have a factory in Malaysia, I have personally seen some Malaysian made Antminers mostly the 17 series, which to my surprise were a lot better quality than the ones made in China.

And ya those gears are subject to only 2-3% tax in the U.S if IIRC.

However, ever since the 17 series, I think the vast majority of their gears are produced in mainland china.

@joker_jouse, depending on what country it is, DDP shipping could be available from China/HK which would be cheaper than your regular shipping.

iirc he gets high tarriffs in his country.
1746  Economy / Economics / Re: Insurance is important on: November 24, 2023, 06:50:59 PM
I don't know who needs to hear this but you need to get insurance if you have assets that are your source of income and it can be insurable. This may not mean much to a lot of folks in developed countries because they're familiar with it, but a lot (and I mean a lot) of people in underdeveloped countries don't care about insurance.

I've read stories of people who were okay financially going broke because they have spent all they had to treat an illness for themselves, their children, or loved ones. I'm not saying insurance is our personal lord and savior, but it can help you in tight situations.

Around November last year, I volunteered to join a local and small NGO that was taking food, drugs, and other supplies to flood victims.
For context of how big the flood was, we used speedboats on roads and it was as though we were on a high sea.
Experts gave lectures on how to prepare for a flood and not wait for it to be too late. Some of the people we met told their stories.

We met one woman whose case I found very interesting.
She had a farm; a fishery and a poultry farm. The poultry was much bigger than the fishery. The farm was so big and established it made her thousands of dollars monthly in gross income. The flood took her by surprise, she was able to rescue some feeds and animals, but she lost so much of it.
Now let's ignore the fact that she was careless for not believing the warnings that a very big flood was coming because, in her words "In my 56 years of being alive and my 17+ years of doing this business, I've never experienced the tiniest bit of flood"
Let's focus on the fact that neither her farm nor a single thing on the farm was insured despite generating that kind of income.

Because of the damage we saw, the NGO started a campaign for the government to help these farmers with grants and loans so they can get back on their feet (but y'all know how politics gets). This allowed us to visit this woman at her farm. She's back on her feet, but it could take years to get back to what she was before the flood.
If her farm was insured, it most likely wouldn't have taken her that long.

There are many more people like this. A cab driver loses his care and he's back to square one because that's his source of income. Others get an illness that is expensive to treat and they go broke trying to pay for the treatment.
A husband and father die unexpectedly and leave nothing behind, leaving the wife to struggle alone to take care of the children. This takes a family that was comfortably a middle-class family to a lower-class family.

If you make money, get health insurance for you and your family, and insure your assets that are a source of income, businesses. Get a life insurance to secure your family's future.
There's a saying " hope for the best and plan for the worst".

okay insurance is very important some of the time for some of the people.

I for one want uninsured people for be severely punished for gambling and not buying insurance if and when they fuck up.

Why do I say this because I do insurance and I live a poorer life style because I buy insurance.

So anyone who thought they could roll the dice and not get insurance needs to be crushed when something goes wrong.

Unfortunately uninsured many get bailed out by Others.

Olympic gold medalist mary lou retton owner of a 9000 square foot mansion in USA got sick and had no health insurance. Her daughter did a go fund me page and grabbed $500,000 from sucker and loser that donated.

I would have wanted Mary Lou to be punished for choosing to not insure her self.

In any case, the bastards are the hackers
If op were the holder of our coins, then the stolen funds of the would be returned back to the victim and wallets of these hackers would be immediately blocked

Sucks.
This really sucks
Wow that really sucks.
I completely agree with all of you. BTC - is irreversible sucks.

since the op has yet to clearly prove this loss
I think that op is worried about his privacy. Most likely he will not reveal his wallet address. I don’t see any other reasons why op gives out so little information

yeah I was being playful with you as I don’t think you created the thread to make your reversibility point.

Btc is not irreversible it is stated to be irreversible but it can be changed as yours was.

btc could also say all stale wallets with no withdrawals will be considered abandoned after fifty years.

A lot more can be done to fuck with it.

as for reversing txs when eth reversed the large hack it fucked up my eth wallet and dispite a lot of effort to rebuild and recover those coins are lost to me 2eth.

So if I lose two coins of your coin due to theft do I send you an email recover my coins.

how easy is recovery.

Btw reversibility sucks if you sell something and the buy lies to get a refund.

please note there is zero evidence this happened.

no tx showing the move.

so take it all with a very large grain of salt.
1751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked, lost 11 BTC on: November 24, 2023, 02:49:51 PM
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do since Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. You just have to learn from the mistake and move on.
Thank God people are starting to understand how flawed BTC is.

We are recommend everyone to take a closer look at our coin: Bitcoin SV

I think it will be useful for everyone to read this article: Reversing Illicit Transactions on Bitcoin Is Simple

P.S: BTC - is BTC. Real Bitcoin - is Bitcoin Satoshi Vision

clever but since the op has yet to clearly prove this loss. it is possible you are the op. and all was written to lead to your post.
1752  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 24, 2023, 02:43:30 PM
not sure what happens if the block was orphaned or stale. but with the huge fee the tx will move onto another block.

I mine at a small pool with very little chance at hitting blocks but it gives fees to miners.

and I mine at a large pool that hits blocks daily.

If my small pool hit that block I would have got about 37 of the of the 83 coins.

And be faced with a lot of legal issues. But the kind you want. issues from getting too many coins.
1753  Other / Meta / Re: Delete my account on: November 24, 2023, 02:14:13 PM
Hello,

Thank you for your kind words and excuse my radical attitude.

The reason why is that I asked how could I pay with my Bitcoin and which taxation would be applied.
I got a response from an user as if I was trying not to pay taxes and elude my tax responsibilities.

I’m worried someone can legally attack me and sue me because of financial misdemeanor.

Based on your responses I will decide to stay in the forum and continue collaborating with others and learning new things.

Thanks
you got scared.

its okay to get scared.

every country has its own laws.

follow them and there is no worries.

of course if you dont follow your laws about tax you could get into trouble.
1754  Economy / Economics / Re: China's real-estate sector is NOT doing well, it might bring whole economy down on: November 24, 2023, 02:07:23 PM
property is always needed. its literally a hard asset
investing in property has backups of government seizing the property/land of real estate if they dont pay back. the government can be part of the deal of escrow too.

the loans are to help real estate developers finish 50-80% part-built apartment blocks so they can put them on the market, sell and then repay costs

its a drastic different story compared to say doing grants and loans to restaurants and small businesses which can take money and just close business. when you see how many scammed the small business stimulus system of multiple countries. you'll soon see investing in property is more secure

not only do the government get back loaned money of the development. but they then continually earn land/property taxes. so it pales in comparison to the small business stimulus cheques system risks

Does china charge property taxes?

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it.

Would be nice if we could finally break 38k during the holiday period & stay over. It seems a but of a bitch to break atm.
I am already past 38k I am looking to be over 40k 🔜

Snap out of it Philip.

You are going to end up jinxing us, like you frequently tend to accomplish. #justsaying

Finally you cracked and now realize my 70k in may prediction made in april 2021 has still been the turning point jinx for btc.

Its tough to live down that I have held all of btc back with that one prediction.  So far honey badger still cares.
1756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance reaches deal to pay $4.3B settlement to American regulators on: November 23, 2023, 04:06:36 PM
I knew CZ was being accused of some serious crimes in the United States, but I would have never expected him to plead guilty on making easier laundering through Binance.
Binance is a very huge ecosystem so it is to be expected their staff won't have Information or everything under control at all times. In the end it does not matter because he as the former CEO was the biggest responsible of all those measures, in the eyes of the law.

I doubt CZ will see any time in prison, by the way, unlike SBF I do not think CZ had bad intentions or malice when conducting their exchange operations.

Whatever happens, hope for the best for Binance and the honest people who work there.
Because of the seriousness of the accusation, CZ finally admitted to the mistake, he seemed to have no other defense so we were a little surprised to see the news that CZ pleaded guilty.

Indeed Binance is a large exchange they also have a popular ecosystem that is much in demand until now if I'm not mistaken the total wealth of Binance $64B they may still be able to survive any action, regarding staff and others I think they already know any information but they will still maintain integrity for Binance in the future with the new CEO.

It is clear that SBF is guilty of using public money for personal gain, but CZ only admitted that he facilitated money laundering with his platform, maybe this charge will not be as severe as SBF.

his admission will be used by a lot of governments to enforce kyc.

my fear is they may want to attack self custody in your own wallets.

which would be a logical step to making cbdc. the rule of the world 🌍

at tauifik123 I am 66 going on 67. but both my kids died as miscarriages. So I am not a grandpa.

My first lost kid would be 28 if nothing bad had happened.
My second lost kid would be 25.

I would have like to have been allowed by the universe to watch the kids be born and give my wife and I grandchildren but that was not the universe’s plan for me and my wife.

1758  Other / Meta / Re: Understanding Multiple accounts (newbie) on: November 23, 2023, 02:39:55 PM

most importantly, if you've got two accounts, only one of them can join a PAID signature CAMPAIGN... If you get the two engaged, you'd most probably lose the two account..
Did you mean one one of them can join the SAME paid signature campaign?
There's no rule against joining different campaigns with alt accounts, there's no forum rule about signature campaigns at all but there are local rules made by campaign managers to prevent multiple accounts from the same user.

I am not sure this is legal.

Judypug1956 is one alt I have . Technically it is my wife’s account.

I don’t do a signature campaign with it. I just do my one account.

philipma1957.

I think I could push using my wife’s account and collect ,but then everyone will say its my wife or its my girlfriend or its my sister. Then collect on two accounts even if it is not legal or at best gray.

To op a ban is the master set and goes against all of your accounts.
Sometimes some members get over and do not get fully punished. If you read all over meta and reputation threads you can find some preferred treatment to some people.
1759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance reaches deal to pay $4.3B settlement to American regulators on: November 23, 2023, 02:26:30 PM
-snip-
CZ and Binance have reach deal agreement for paying $4.3B settlement to American regulators regarding his mistake with money laundering and leaves his position as Binance CEO.
It is a form of commitment and responsibility from Binance to solve the problem by paying the fine.
and also CZ is willing to take from his personal money to pay part of the fine of USD$50 million, of course this proves that CZ is the CEO who is responsible for the problems that are happening and does not leave it alone.

I don't know what happen with SEC Commission always attack with all exchange cryptocurrency owner, I don't sure they will stop for hunting the next target and pressure them to pay more money as did by CZ.
The SEC is always looking for profits on every major CEX and this is a warning for all CEXs to be careful if they want to enter the US Exchange.
It's better to find safe and not get involved with the US, especially Gary Gensler is famous for not being pro with crypto and always cornering crypto in all problems.

yeah i am thinking we in the USA are going to served by just coinbase.

Great work @joker_josue, much appreciated. When conditions allow it, I will make a small donation towards the project as a token of appreciation

You can find the Bitcoin donation address at the bottom of the page. But right now, donating Bitcoin might not be the best idea because the fees are a bit high and the blockchain is congested. Maybe JJ can also add altcoin options like Litecoin or Tron (TRX/USDT) ato reduce transaction fees.

Yeah Ltc or doge works. Not sure if joker is a btc maxer.
