1. You can't judge by the same plugin used by both the website if they belong to the same person. In this case, particle.Js is the plugin used by both the websites with different parameters. 2. I checked their CSS files/ investigated JavaScript/(Jquery) code a bit, and it seems written by two different authors. 3. They can still belong to the same person but websites aren't certainly developed by the same author. 4. The co-incidence is, page loader used by both the websites are same. Now, this is where I start doubting stuff. The chances of two websites of in a similar domain using the same page loader and same set of plugins are quite low. 5.The ripple website's linkedIn team is unavailable which you can take into consideration. At this point, I don't have sufficient proofs to call them a scam but if I put some more efforts into it, I might just come up with something.

Have been a localBitcoins user since 2015 and never had any issues with them. The only stuff I had to verify was my mobile number and had to submit an ID verification without any message or other details. Have you been flagged by any user who you involved in a trade with? Did you check your feedback score drop drastically? Did you check your recent login attempts to verify your account was safe of unauthorised access? I haven't heard of many cases where LBC closed the accounts with funds in it.

The issue also is that many bounties are accepting newbies, even brand new users, in their campaigns.
That's why you need to introduce posting restrictions, or to ban bounties. Why " restricting things" and " banning stuff" are the only solutions everyone thinks is perfect? Theymos should start a sub-forum under the domain www.elite.bitcointalk.com where there would be no signatures,no bounties,no marketplaces , just elite posters discussing stuff. Also the sign-up process would be invite basis only. Theymos should consider it asap. Condition is very bad now.
Condition was always this bad since a few years. You happened to the forum what 2 months back?

This guy is a gold mine: if I think the happiest time when new bride. and there is no painful time when toothache. because the toothache to eat does not taste hungry. hear the voice of people talking sick. sleeping wrong, wrong motion .
if I will multiply my business and money. because the present day with money so smooth affairs. because I have a neighbor when beautiful new age 22 but want in marriage with people aged 60 years. because his legs are rich .
Probably his auto-translate needs an auto-translate.

I'm using the maximum length for a Newbie signature, and I wouldn't want to lose it. As much as I hate spam, restricting legit users isn't the right solution. I'd like to see spam banned faster, especially the army of useless "great project" posters in the altcoin section.
Right! Restricting users from doing stuff isn't always the right solution. For instance, I'm pretty sure in the coming years we will have massive traffic and restricting the sign up process on invite basis only wouldn't be the right solution. We have to go beyond that and harness the best of tech to figure out stuff. If there were a way for theymos to limit the number of alt accounts a person can have, that could solve a huge problem. Bots could be controlled and so could be shitposting. I don't see any legitimate reason for a person to have more than 3 alt accounts other than just to shitpost. Accessing hundreds of accounts using TOR would be almost impossible, for TOR takes a few minutes just to bypass recaptcha. So most shitposters won't likely use TOR. It'd take a lot of time.
So only the VPN issue exists, blacklist the most common VPN IPs? I have heard that there are numerous websites that have huge lists of common IPs
Again, just like my point above, "Restriction doesn't always mean the best solution". Technology is way beyond VPN's and Tor exit nodes. You can never stop the attacks, you can only prevent them. Limit any random person from starting bounties. Only like a few managers should host campaigns. This is a hard blow, but it might just work in the long run. And for anybody to be a campaign manager, he should be qualified for that. Qualified as in, he should have knowledge of this forum, know how to select participants, be a trustworthy individual et al.
So if I start my company and would want my employee to manage my campaign, do you think forum should force me to use one of their managers? Why would I?I don't like how every solution you have mentioned revolves around restrict this and restrict that when we are here to be free from the centralised world (speaking psychologically) in the first place. To sum up this post : Ban Signature Campaigns, forum is sorted (and dead)

Looks like they copied the whole team but to be fair - there is no proof that these people are NOT involved with Ultrix. Actually some of these don't look like they're involved in Deconet either but that's a different story.
I concur. The way these ICO shit-heads work is they keep changing their projects and companies after the ICO is done and quick monies are made.If you check their linkedIN profiles, you'd see how they have worked as a "CEO" at 5 differents ICO related firms in less than a year.

What legal things i absolutely needs to get done before starting a centralized crypto exchange ?
Pay Taxes, before and after creating a legally ran centralised crypto exchange with strict KYC policies. Can't i just start it without doing any legal stuffs and market it right away ?
Why would anyone trust you? If you take all the funds and run away, customers would have no source to file a complaint against. Assuming my crypto exchange wont get hacked or will do any shady stuff is there any problem if i dont have a legal company ?
What are you? Computer Security God that you're so confident it won't get hacked? Even if you don't do shady stuff there are nasty hackers who will empty your exchange the moment it goes live.

Hi i need a senior+, hero/legendary bitcointalk member to help me out test a signature if its correct? You will get paid for it..
Send a dm in bitcointalk or in discord: Dnniss#2775 Greets
You possibly don't need to do that.. Apart from the online Bb-code compilers, there are couple of other hacky ways to get the preview without the need of a higher rank account to test the signatures. To start with, below mentioned has come from one of the good signature designers of bitcointalk. Hope that helps. II really wanted to learn BBcodes to have a side line in this forum, Thank you so much i hope that you could update the tutorials above and if you can create some video tutorials that would be great. Just want to ask something were can we possibly test those codes? Especially if we do not have hero/sr ranks accounts for testing
cheers,
Hey, in my opinion the best environment for testing is Google Chrome web browser and a 'post preview' and if we do everything right the signature should work just fine. 1) When you're working on a signature put your signature code inside 'quote' tags. 'Quoted text box' has similar style as 'signature space'. 2) Remember about signatures styling rules. 3) If everything looks good you can remove 'quote' tags and copy your signature code into your profile settings.

And what about those who have more than 100 accounts and collect tokens: etherscan.io - CyberMiles - 235 purse addresses output to BinanceWallet and this is 235 multi-accounts! I began to choose them, but I chose about 30. Having multiple accounts and collecting token is not against the forum rules. However, cheating with multiple accounts in the same campaign is not endorsed by the forum members. They are likely to get a negative feedback from the DT after good investigation but they wouldn't be banned for it as it doesn't break any forum rules.

I don't understand how these bots can operate past the captcha without a code from Theymos...
Considering the accounts linked to that user the account was likely created to abuse bounty threads. However, as they were caught they likely just made a script to auto post, and send members personal messages. Regardless, that doesn't prevent them from captchas. Even if I operate my account as a human, I still need to solve captchas every time I logout or empty my cookies. That wouldn't need a code as the account is already established, and isn't doing anything more than me or you posting here.
They still need to login to message users or post stuff. Vod's point is how come they bot accounts are getting pass captchas which often takes several minutes for actual users to solve. (if I understood it correctly) I don't understand how these bots can operate past the captcha without a code from Theymos...
Actually automated solving of the recaptcha is quite an easy task by using third party services like https://2captcha.com/software There are other browser extensions like https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/auto-captcha-decoder-exte/dappmbimgjecjddkmgekefhnogbefmjl or others which can automate your captcha solving process.Operating past recaptcha is just as easy as having a web driver to automate the boring tasks. One can easily achieve this in a few lines of code using Python. The botters set a good amount of delay after ever post so it just feels like a normal human is posting it.

After the central banks ban on cryptos in India, people will be looking for P2P trading. Bitcointalk can have provided a platform for such trades. But the marketplace of India is messed up.Full of spam and ICO promotions.
I reported as many posts as I could. But it's going to be very difficult to clean that section without a designated mod.The spam is too much.
Already a thread is created here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3319980.msg34677742#msg34677742 I suppose theymos hasn't found the right person yet. If he's having a hard time finding someone, our Indian community can short-list and suggest 5 candidates which will be further evaluated by theymos to choose the right one.

Still nothing
You should have bought a twitter account from me dude. Anyone with the name the name thatkid1 is bound to be some broke teenager trying to scam Economics doesn't prove anyone with the name "Damievande" are legitimate traders as well. As much as I like to applaud your sense of humour, I like to point out the way forum works. 1. It is generally not a good idea to buy/sell accounts of any kind. 2. You should use an escrow while dealing with random people on the internet when your payment methods are irreversible.

Oh My Gawd! Does that mean the shit posting population on the forum is going to increase exponentially? Imagine the situation now and compare it to what happens once the entire country wants to join bounty and signature campaigns.
Jokes apart, it's a good news but it would be sad for the bounty hunters to pay taxes. You haven't mentioned the tax part which I believe will be applicable once it's regulated.

Not interested in your payment but certainly would like to give you constructive criticism. - Description field after signing up doesn't have a border making it seem empty. We all know about those shit posts and see them by our own eyes like daily. Was it necessary to start a whole new tread about it? But it's actually good to laugh at some comments you guys posted here The initial purpose of the thread was to post the funniest. Everyone is annoyed by the shitposts but every once in a while there is one that makes you laugh. To be honest, forum would be a little boring place without all the shit-posts and drama. As much as I love the technical stuff on the forum, I occasionally sneak into threads for a some quick giggles.Off-topic section being my favourite. Thread : Do you like fishing?Genius : i like fishing. i eat fish and rich is very sweet test.when rain come,we always together the pond and river catch the fish.much fish we catch that we are eating. we eat heavy fish than the other food.fish eating is good for health.

I am an early Bitcoininvestor and I was really fortunate so far. I came into Cryptocurrencies because I believed (and still do) that it will make our world a better place. Unfortunately everything related to money also attracts fraudsters/imposters of any kind. I would like to give back to the community by dedicating some time into investigation some frauds that i come across.
You're welcome. You might as well give the community back in terms of donating to the open source projects based for bitcoin. Electrum being a good example. You don't have to worry about ICO frauds, in a coming few months, FBI will do that for us. I have extensiv forensic experience as an accountant and former employee of a government regulation body. I will try to use my expertise and help the community to see the truth behind scams/frauds and bad/greedy people and bring them to justice.
That sounds great! Can you help a given scam company to be taken to the court or file an allegation against them? For instance, YoBit exchange have robbed thousands of dollars from the traders and yet they're operating nicely.

None of the 'crypto-portfolio apps' that I know of are scams? You just help people track and manage their coin related data and not the actual coins right? Never been a fan of portfolio apps but that is the most common niche in this section. We get such apps launched here every week.

Is it possible to make a local rule, like "digaran is not allowed to post in this thread"?
Not when your thread is not self moderated. You can always create a self moderated thread with a local rule that says diagran is not allowed to post here. They wouldn't post in the thread knowing their posts will be deleted anyway. Anyway, that thread is nuked.

This is why they do the introductory offer to test the system out some I guess, seems fair even the biggest companies need revisions to a system to refine it. I'm able to sign and be in the account but also I'm waiting for the confirmation email to arrive so I can confirm my balance and the bonus is there or not. Maybe it doesnt like my address, I'll try another one shortly if no joy
The testing should ideally be done before the website goes live. If website is live and one of the customers makes a huge win through a bug, it could be a potential loss for the website or the customer the other way around. It's a common ideology to stress test your servers and do end-end testing before shit goes live especially when you're going to be dealing with someone else's money.
