901  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: June 17, 2023, 06:55:59 AM
As for gambling and in particular sports betting, in my opinion, the use of AI will only spoil the status quo when only people with their knowledge, intuition and luck or bad luck participate.  AI will only spoil this balanced picture in the gambling system.  Although I can’t imagine how it will be possible to prohibit the use of AI in that area of human life, apparently it’s still impossible.
But the gambling industry will lose something unique and now inherent and pleasing to millions of players.
We don't emphasize luck too much when it comes to winning in sports betting. Instead, we aim for consistency and long-term success. While AI can provide the information you need, it does not make the actual bets for you. You still need to use that information and analyze it. However, it's worth noting that as of now, there isn't an AI that is constantly updated on daily events in the sports industry. Even ChatGPT is not regularly updated, so its usefulness is limited.
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 17, 2023, 06:21:27 AM
Jokic is currently by far the best player in the NBA league. What he brought to this league is insane and how much he improved over the years is just spectaular. If he wasnt playing for Denver i dont think that team would even reach the playoffs. What is impresive is that he dosent get injured and he plays so casual it looks like its nothing for him. He didnt get the regular season MVP but if he just repeats the same style in the next season he will win the MVP too easily. Its still shocking how they shooted so badly for three and Miami just wasnt able to take advantage of that and win the series. NBA scouts will look closely now because Jokic was a chubby guy from Serbia that is now the best player in the world and we might see new players similar to him real time soon.

Jokic is definitely the best right now, but based on what I've noticed from NBA over the years there will start to be distinct measure that will limit Jokic abilities overtime, but then that doesn't mean it will always work out but Jokic will always have to improvise and become a better version of himself over and over again to be able to keep the same level of dominance of a long period of time, but greatness by all margin is what he's achieved so and with consistent good work ethic, he should be able keep up at this level for a few years more at the barest minimum.

As long as Jokic is surrounded by great shooters, he will never be slowed down because opponents cannot solely focus on double-teaming him since his teammates are willing shooters. In fact, the Nuggets have essentially remained the same team with the same players as their starters; they have simply added depth and improved their defense. This is the reason why they were able to compete well against both offensive and defensive teams.
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 16, 2023, 09:53:05 PM
Know that there are a lot of crypto opportunities that offer a good income aside from bitcoin investment, so your knowledge will always be beneficial more than you can imagine. And if those early crypto adopters here who are living their life in success do not use their knowledge, then they must not reach their current position now. That is why knowledge is so powerful, as it will be your best weapon on battling the realities in life.
904  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: June 16, 2023, 09:15:58 PM
Living expenses if only for necessities such as food or monthly payments are reasonable. But usually people are too ambitious to fulfill their prestige with goods that are very expensive but those goods that cannot be stored for a long time will experience price erosion. Therefore, people who think the cost of living is expensive are those who continue to obey their prestige even though it is only their desire to be able to have things like other people have even though it is not a necessity of their life.
We can always chose to live simply even if inflation is here for good. As long as you have your own job to support and pay your monthly bills, then rest assured that you will still survive despite of the goods and services prices that continue to surge. But if you live life according to the norms and trends in your surroundings, then expect that your finances will never be enough. The cost of living will certainly kill you in the end.
905  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Majority of investors are quitting, what are you doing? on: June 16, 2023, 08:40:23 PM
If you are a good investor, you will never get out from a certain investment losing just because the prices have gone so very low and bad. Know that the crypto market is highly volatile so always be open for price fluctuations as it’s a natural thing in the crypto market. And while others are withdrawing and selling their coins, I believe holding on to your investment is always the best option. Just know when to hold or sell, so you will never be investing at a loss.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 16, 2023, 08:25:44 PM
From the years that I've been into this market, that's what I've learned and that's to take profit when it's on high. It's not gonna hurt my ego to have to see my lessened portfolio because that's how it should go, to enjoy my profits earned from my investments on this market.

Other than that, holding is truly one of the best strategies that I've ever learned. These scenarios of plummets and crashes, it taught me a lot of things especially in forcing me to be patient when I'm thinking of dumping as much as I can.
True. Patience will always be tested in this crypto market especially if your emotions are starting to contradict your decision. But if you are doing the right thing always, that is to hold more when you see price correction in the market, then you will have all the chances to be successful in your investment in the end. Just follow the basic of buying low and selling high, that will always take you an edge over the market.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 16, 2023, 10:18:09 AM

This is a 50/50 match because both of them could defeat the other. But if I were to base my prediction on what they have achieved over the years in their career and what they can do, I think Crawford is ahead.

Judging from their past fights, I think Crawford no doubt has the slight advantage here for about 60/40 but we all know Spence is also strong when he is facing a real contender. Both should really be going to fight at this time because they already delayed it longer than expected. thankfully they decided to agree on and we will gonna see one of the fights of the century in a couple of days now. The conference I saw on the post made them finalize their fight and it will gonna be one of the fights that we want to watch live because no matter how see it, it will gonna be one of the historical fights in boxing history.
The odds are really interesting, but we can't say that the bookies didn't do their job. I mean it usually came for Vegas odd makers so they have the experienced to do that. But for some of us, this quite be a 50/50 fight as both are undefeated and champions in their own right and I would say that either hasn't been tested in their win and they have been dominating for the last couple of years. And yes, this is going to be the best fight hands down in paper. It's just need to live to it's hype and then we might see another one, a rematch, whoever wins here.
A rematch is certainly a possibility, but its likelihood will depend on the outcome of the fight. Both fighters are skilled and resilient, capable of absorbing heavy punches. Spence, in particular, is known for his willingness to engage in close-quarters combat without much movement. This could pose a challenge for Crawford, as Spence will be actively seeking opportunities to land his own punches. Knocking out Spence may prove difficult for Crawford due to Spence's aggressive approach and willingness to take risks in search of openings.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 16, 2023, 09:06:25 AM
The Sacramento Kings have started trade negotiations with the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal.
The Sacramento Kings had an unexpected performance this year.
It will be good for them to strengthen their team with Bradley Beal.

Acquiring Bradley Beal might come at a high cost for the team. They already have good chemistry, and if they were to add Beal, I worry that the team dynamic might shift, and they may not play as cohesively, as Beal tends to operate more like a one-man show. However, if the team can help Beal adapt to their system, there is a chance for success.

Currently, I believe the Kings would benefit from acquiring a reliable big man who can improve their defense. While Domantas Sabonis is a valuable player, he alone may not be sufficient to protect the paint. Pairing him with a dependable center could have a positive impact on their overall gameplay without disrupting their existing strategies.
909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Learn From Your Senior Colleagues. on: June 15, 2023, 09:55:26 PM
By the way, just because one’s profile is a newbie rank may not automatically mean that the person behind the account has no clue about cryptocurrencies and vice versa. While learning to read more than one can reply is very important.
Being a newbie does not justify your abilities and capabilities. Especially when you have related experiences from your endeavors before. However, it’s best to still adhere and trust seniors that they will be significant in your growth and development in the crypto market. Know that they have been here at first so they know already how to deal with the market more than you know it for yourself.
910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 15, 2023, 09:41:38 PM
Yes. Gambling is completely different from trading since trading will make you more profits and able to grow them more but in gambling, the more you decide to gamble more, the more you become susceptible to losing. And while trading follows certain skills and strategies in the market, gambling do not have any of them. As long as you have luck, you can always gamble and end up winning or losing your capital.
Right. Trading and gambling may have their own individual risk, but it’s clear that when you trade with high knowledge and skills, you will have bigger chances to win your trades and gain significant amount of profits. But if you trade simply because you need quick money without even getting aware on how the crypto market works, no experience at all, certainly you are seeing trading as a form of gambling. That way, you are letting yourself to lose your money than to create a good amount of income.
911  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take advantage of the price fall. on: June 15, 2023, 07:03:58 PM
Is been a hard knocked to everyone trading bitcoin this seasons especially investment, my friend was sore disappointed for the recent falling of price because he bought $1000 bitcoin but the truth is that we cannot foresees the future in today, this is not the first time the price is Reding down, we should take advantage of this time at least you can use a small to purchase high value bitcoin. I wish we've profound bitcoin price analyst here, many people really wants to know the cause of continues price deflected, if you've ideas please your comments will be very important here. We newbies this days fall victims a lot because of ignorance of cryptosystem. Let's talk as a family.
Bitcoin is highly volatile, so expect that its price will never be fixed and certain most of the time. Sometimes it’s  high, sometimes it’s heading low, but that is keeping the thrill in bitcoin. However, if we keep on seeing bitcoin price is dropping, don’t panic and become too emotional, that will never stay in that condition forever, sooner it will also surge high and even reach its new all time high. Instead, do the DCA and buy bitcoin as you can. That way, when the market instantly turned bullish, your efforts will also paid off and you’ll reap what you sow and gain huge and exceptional profits.

Who was able to bet on the Blackwater Bossing against Converge? I checked the odds before the game, and they were very attractive for the Bossing. I was actually considering placing a bet, but I got busy and ended up forgetting about the upcoming game. It's frustrating; it could have been easy money.  Smiley

The score was 97-102
Well, mate, you missed out on a great opportunity. Betting on the Bossing could have been an easy way to make money, considering the high odds. In exhibition games like these, it's difficult to predict the winner, as even strong teams can lose. It's always wise to consider betting on the underdog, which could have given you a chance to enjoy significant profits.

Looking at the current standings on https://pba.ph/standings, Blackwater is in the top 4, while ROS has surprised everyone by claiming the top spot which does not usually happen in a regular season.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 14, 2023, 01:13:52 PM
Ok everything is rolling out, the press conference has kicked in, here is the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acedO6P1iKw.

The video though is too long, but in the end there is respect between the two, their trainers and the fighters themselves. So definitely fight is now on, it just feel surreal though that finally we are going to see this fight and this two promises a war. Best fighters in the world and probably for the glory and pound for pound number 1.

This is certainly shaping up to be an intense battle, with both fighters displaying high aggression and a strong knockout record. They should ensure they are fully conditioned for the fight, as it is scheduled for 12 rounds. Crawford is considered the favorite to win, and I'm confident that he has thoroughly studied Spence's style. It's a long-awaited opportunity for Crawford to finally face Spence in the ring.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 14, 2023, 08:13:04 AM

This fight doesn't pose a significant challenge for him; we shouldn't consider Santiago's age as a determining factor, as he is not a high-ranking boxer like Inoue, who truly dominates the sport. It is evident that, according to popular opinion, Donaire would effortlessly win this match. However, if our prediction proves incorrect, retirement should be the logical next step for Donaire.

He shouldn't be overly confident in this situation, considering his advancing age. It's evident that Alejandro Santiago is not a mere leftover in boxing, given his respectable ranking, which earned him the opportunity for a championship fight. Retirement may be the next step for Donaire if he fails, but let's not dwell on that just yet. His determination to fight and, importantly, to continue earning money is still evident.

It's not him who is overly confident; I think it's us. We fail to respect Santiago's ability to defeat Donaire. Well, it can be understood since fans tend to be emotional, one-sided, and prone to exaggerating the capabilities of their favorite fighter. Donaire may be getting older, but it doesn't mean he will be beaten by a boxer who isn't as skilled as Inoue. That's just my guess.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 14, 2023, 04:41:26 AM
Looking at their odds, even betting for the bookies favorite, Terence Crawford, is still promising and profitable for me because his odds to win at least for the money line is still above 2.00 while for Errol Spence is a little bit over 3.00 . But the trouble is, even though Crawford have some upper hand in this fight, we cannot really underestimate Errol Spence because even if we don't like him that much or at least for me because of what he did recently, he is still undeniably good when it comes to boxing.

Are you sure? If the money line odds for Terence Crawford is above 2.00 while Errol Spence's is over 3.00, then the betting platform will go bankrupt. Nobody will lose if those are the betting odds. If I were a bettor, I would be betting on the two fighters with all my savings knowing that whoever wins, I will make a profit.

You might want to double check your numbers. Last I checked Crawford is the favorite with 1.74 money line odds.
I believe that was just a typo error, hehe. It's quite evident that Crawford is the favored fighter, although only by a small margin. In my opinion, this fight is actually a 50/50 matchup. However, considering Crawford's more impressive victories compared to Spence, it's understandable why he is listed as the favorite. Regardless, the specifics of favoritism don't matter at the moment. Once this fight takes place, both fighters will undoubtedly have their own supporters cheering them on, which will make the bout thrilling to watch.
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: June 13, 2023, 06:30:06 PM
Time to get his own flat then. Father is right in his perspective, if he thinks betting is bad thing win or loose doesn't metter . Then son should go live by himself, If he can bet himself he should be +18, he can (should) live by himself too. My Father is not diffrent aswell if I somehow win 100k$ I'm out simple as that. This is our lifes not others. I would not give that money back or donate it...

The boys age is not disclose so we can not really conclude  if the boy is old enough to get is own fiat and to some extent there are limitations to how young people live there life's especially in Africa to some extent we are always kind of way obligated to our parent which is good but has a lot of disadvantage especially in time of making decision, The boy will never forget, and in some situations, I'm sure many people won't return the money and are willing to disobey their father. If the boy were mature enough, I don't think the father would have made that decision for him to return such a large sum of money given the way money is becoming a problem.

Yet, the father's reason why he rejected those wins were also not disclosed and that just leads us to a dead end where further questions will become nonsense and aren't really answerable by anybody unless the OP will give out the source or give the whole story so that we can fully understand the father's decision about the son's winnings from gambling. Eiter way, I think you're right, most of us would choose disobeying the father and just hope that someday, he will understand our decisions.
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 13, 2023, 05:57:39 PM
I never stop to gamble because I know the risk and I gamble for fun.

If you and some else want to stop gambling, it's better to seek a professional, because they already know how to handle it to cure your addiction. But it will not be easy as gambling is promoted almost in every where, to really stop gambling, I think you need to just stay in home and never touch anything to connect with digital world.

Same here, I will not even deny that there might be some losses already in my side but that's just fine as I just gamble for entertainment and for past time, and not to seek money in the sidelines. So, whenever I win, I just take it as a bonus because in the first place, that wasn't my goal.
I'm just giving myself a safe distance before everything goes horribly wrong as I know that if I will get addicted, I will have some serious struggles for sure and that's not what I wanted.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 13, 2023, 04:53:57 PM
Nuggets ended the finals and Jokic won the NBA finals. What a journey for a piece of history in the making that has been made by this big guy who likes chicken nuggets that eventually became the face of the Nuggets franchise. LOL.
Those who have bet for the game 5 to end with Nuggets are surely enjoying but I've got a lot of friends dismay on this ending because many of them thought that Miami got this, still props to them.

What a journey for the best big man of this season and there's no doubt he truly deserves it also his teammates help him a lot to achieve this great goal of their life as NBA players. Thankfully the Finals MVP is no other than Jokic. After he constantly brings his team to playoffs it finally pays off well and also this time his best buddy is playing Jamal Murray. They played well and deserves this championship without recruiting some star players nor did they go to the championship teams that won multiple championships in the past. they trust each other and eventually earn their best reward ever.

Truly a big achievement of his career since he won a lot of trophy and sealed his legacy this season. A big kodus also to his teammates which do their job and perform very well without thinking about padding their stats in finals especially on Murray this is really a big win and they erase their finals drought for 47 years since there franchise created and now Nuggets has been erased to the list of the teams which didn't win a championship.

It is indeed but it's just so funny to me how Jokic answered some few questions from the interview right after the game because it so looks like he is not that delighted for what happened and for him it's just another day having a victory and said, goal was delivered and it's not time for me to go home. Grin

Anyway, looking at the Nuggets cores, they are still so young and that gives me some creeps because they will be dominating the league for more years to come or at least give a hard time for those who want to claim their title. Congrats again to the Denver Nuggets, finally!
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 10, 2023, 04:30:25 PM
I was kinda surprised when I read the news from Financial Times that the cross-section of the UK's MPs that seems to see it as needless to regulate cryptocurrency suggested that it should be viewed as "a form of gambling" and be regulated as such.

Without relying on my own understanding of "gambling," I quickly used the help of the Oxford Dictionary through Google, and it states;

1. Play games of chance for money; bet.
2. Take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

The second one seems to fit crypto best, so it's clear they know what they are saying.

Now, do you agree that crypto should be seen as a form of gambling? And if this eventually comes through, what should we expect as the constraints it might still bring to the crypto space?

If someone calls cryptocurrencies like gambling, it should not be ruled out that stocks and forex are also gambling because everything has risks, there are winners and losers. For me, I never considered crypto is gambling because gambling is just luck. While with cryptocurrencies, we need to learn many things, and winning requires a lot of combined factors, not investing blindly and relying on luck like gambling.
Exactly. Gambling is purely based from chance and luck while crypto is gained through knowledge and experience. Without them, crypto will fall as gambling. However, the only difference is that gambling mostly ends up with losing regardless how good or expert a gambler is while crypto created more opportunities for us not to lose but to attract more funds and profits especially if we are doing the right thing at the right time.
920  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Factors that's why others are hesitant to start in crypto on: June 10, 2023, 04:00:51 PM
You have that all OP and what is happening around, from what they have heard in the news, rumors spread and reported scam exchanges, the more it influence their mind to think of not embracing crypto into their lives but rather remain on fiat. I would say that crypto is only for risk-takers, and we know that no all people have this kind of behavior, many are preferred to play safe despite knowing that risk-takers win more. No matter how we convince these kind of mindset, it seems not effective as they believe what it right for them.
Well, even if you don't see crypto as a scam but as long as you are not a risk-taker, then you will have nothing to gain in the end. That is the reason why even if crypto is popular but only few are brave enough to take the risks and do not fear of losing. If this will not change forever, then it's hard to expect that crypto will be globally adopted no matter how popular and profitable it is.
