961  Economy / Scam Accusations / SwabianCoin - Fake Team Using Stock/Template Pictures with NO Whitepaper on: January 18, 2020, 08:59:13 PM
What happened:: With some reverse image searching I discovered that SwabianCoin have fake identities for their team with the use of stock/template photos found online. The project doesn't appear to have any whitepaper found both from their website as well as their ANN thread

Scammers Profile Link: Flo_SwabianCoin
Reference Link:

ANN Thread [Archived]
Website [Archived]

FLAG LINK :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=1256

Additional Notes:

Note # 1: SwabianCoin only have two named team members in their website, Florian Steinhauser and Philipp Feucht both of which are using pictures found in the internet which I suspect are coming from a template website, as seen by this video (around 3:45 to 3:47) in Youtube and based on other websites having these models as stock photos.

Other Websites/Services Using the Same Pictures

Gather the information you already have

What do you know about your customers now? Who do you think they are? Outline who you think is the company's persona today, before you start gathering new information. Then you have a thought person (or more) to build on, and you have the opportunity to confirm or reject your own assumptions later.

Find a picture of the person. Having a visual representation of who you speak to will be helpful in writing blog posts, ad texts, social media posts, and the like.

Note # 2: Among the two FB profile links SwabianCoin has provided only Philipp Feucht's profile is working. The pics on Philipp's profile are way different compared to what they have provided in their website. So there are two possibilities here. One is that this project accidentally provided Philipp's true FB page or the second one is they just provided a random FB profile.

962  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-01-15] BTC Dev Since 2012, Tamas Blummer Dies After 3Y Battle With Cancer on: January 16, 2020, 09:42:04 PM
It's quite shocking that I'm just hearing this news for the first time about his cancer yet you'll see that he was even active with his social media last two weeks ago as if he doesn't have any kind of sickness whatsoever. Even if you checked news before his death if he was admitted to a hospital or something you literally wouldn't see anything before this was, he maybe keep his cancer as a secret which I don't know the reason why. His last tweet was even for Bitcoin and I think that is what he wants us to remember him, a developer who have helped Bitcoin and its community.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Ethereum reach the 1400$ mark this year? on: January 16, 2020, 08:45:22 PM
Lets translate it in numbers so we can see a more clearer picture of what you are asking. ETH is currently around 163$ divide 1,400 to that number then you are expecting an 858% increase for Ethereum this year. Now I wouldn't say that number is possible but this kind of increase will all depend on how Bitcoin will move this year since Ethereum as of right now has no known catalyst unlike BSV where it can jump more compared to BTC right now because of Craig Wright being in the headlines of major crypto news outlet. So if you expect ETH to rise then expect BTC to carry it along not unless it has a catalyst of its own.
964  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Affiliater- Plagiarized Whitepaper on: January 16, 2020, 07:50:00 PM
Yep, those ICO tracking sites are part of the problem, with scammy exchanges and  scammy teams. Even pure  scams manage to pass KYC on some of them, let alone to have high rating.
Affiliater team went step further and even faked listing on those sites. It just shows how lazy they are.

Flag type 1  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=1250

I'm not even sure if they are really doing some kind of KYC process for their ICO team since I have seen it in past scam accusations where they passed the KYC process yet when our scam hunters here do a little bit of reverse image search they will see that some or at least one of their team are fake, if they are doing a KYC process for their ICO listings they are really doing a bad job for it. This is one of the reasons why you can't trust their ratings as data and opinions might be hugely inaccurate.

P.S.
Supported the flag, thank you for putting it up.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 16, 2020, 07:04:44 PM
I've been seeing multiple reports both in Italy and in Croatia that Dani Olmo's likely destination is AC Milan. His return to Barcelona was cut off when the team pulled out of any negotiations only leaving  AC Milan and Chelsea as the strongest suitors for the player. Only advantage of Milan right now against Chelsea is they have tried to get him since the last transfer window but they still kept tabs with him showing that the team is very interested in him. If he really wants to prove something in European football I think he should prefer going to Milan rather than teaming up with an already strong Chelsea team.
966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick ponzi on: January 16, 2020, 03:35:37 PM
I'll understand it if they have holdings of Bitcoin before hand and they are just buying on breakout now to take advantage of the price pump, at least they still have a margin of safety involved which gives them space for errors. But what I don't understand is the newbies who are buying because of the hype and and sudden price increase. They immediately doubled the risk as they are trying to catch an already moving train. If you really don't like to study technical analysis my advice is for you to just buy Bitcoin when nobody else in the market is buying it and when the price is already at the bottom, these just gives you a very good position on the next bull cycle.
967  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 15, 2020, 08:40:13 PM
If these governments want to make their people rich, they could increase their wages to upto 10 times, around $100/per hour. When wages will be high, more amount of money could be invested in Crypto.

Did you just completely ignored your high school economics and think this would make all their citizens rich? If they increased the minimum wage up to a higher level nothing would change since the people are getting a lot of money the the price of basic goods will increase as the supply of money got higher. What your proposal is basically like a careless government's solution on printing out more money to solve poverty and they completely ignored the fact that inflation is inevitable. Giving higher wages isn't the solution here to solve poverty just by providing jobs, proper education, and proper development of the country is enough for all of the people to go above of the poverty line.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 15, 2020, 07:34:08 PM
Milan WON (3-0)!!! This is by far one of the best games they have and maybe one of the reasons why is they are matched against the bottom team of the league. Honestly the team isn't really that fluid but they were lucky that they had a lot of chances to score and the best part it some of their shots even are on target this time around. Also my heart was literally pounding when the referee called in a penalty from the suspected handball from Paqueta but luckily he overturned it after seeing the replay, the commentator even said that if this was on another league like the EPL this decision wouldn't even be overturned and they won't allow VAR to contest it too.
969  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: White Paper Tips on: January 15, 2020, 06:47:23 PM
Clearyly you are in by no means of creating a whitepaper nor even start a project of your own. At your OP you are just looking for some quick pointers on creating your whitepaper but your follow up questions are simply questions that a developer should already know or at least have an idea about it. My advice is if you are still clueless about on starting a project and you think that it's easy to create a crypto/token because of the Ethereum and NEM blockchain then you must stop with your plans right now and just observe ANN threads of ICO projects and their whitepapers to gain some basic knowledge on starting your own ICO. Real and ambitious projects are not made overnight, it takes a lot of time and planning for you to even have the idea of creating a crypto.
970  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: ! Bitcoin Clients not longer offering possibility to send to multiple addresses on: January 15, 2020, 05:34:07 PM

Your last option is Electrum on the desktop where you can send bitcoin in multiple addresses.

....

That's the only option for now.
Quote from: Danydee
So I got just the possibility to send to only one address per tx
I am not sure but I think electrum send address per tx even with this option Huh

Nope, those batch/bulk payments are all in a single transaction paid in one fee. Simply all of those payments for multiple addresses will be under one txid. Just think about it like some kind of batch processing where all of those addresses are all under in the same batch order, they aren't separated from each one as they are transacted as a batch.
971  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Affiliater- Plagiarized Whitepaper on: January 15, 2020, 03:08:00 PM
Having good ratings on ICO tracking sites  is not a sign of legit project, but even that is fake in their case, as they are not listed there at all

Definitely not, most of these ICO rating platforms accepts payments under the name "Premium Listing" so you'll definitely see a biased rating on these kinds of ICOs, you won't really see a good and honest rating on any kind of service that accepts payments to grade and list them. I have put a negative trust as well but I think the best thing to do is to put a flag on him so will you do the honors on doing it? I'll support it right away.
972  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [NEWS UPDATE]Japan and Philippines Initiate and Discuss Crypto Laws on: January 15, 2020, 02:14:57 PM
About STOs medyo conservative pa ako pag-dating sa topic na ito kung ito ay i-implement sa bansa natin. Our very own Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) barely gets Initital Public Offerings (IPO) maybe once or twice a year lang swerte na ang apat kung madaming kumpanya ang gusto maging public. Pag na-implement tong STOs baka wala na tayong makitang IPO sa sarili nating stock market and baka pag meron man ay mang-gagaling ito sa mga big companies na like Mercury Drug at Nissin (both ay hindi pa public) and ang mga Small and Medium Enterprise ay mag STO nalang dahil mas madali magka cryptocurrency compared sa maging listed sa PSE. Isipin niyo nalang ito on a investor's point of view na hindi masyadong nasasala mabuti ang mga companies na pwede nating pag-investan baka tayo pa maluge pagdating ng araw.
973  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitmain co-founder in legal war against shareholders of the company on: January 14, 2020, 07:53:04 PM
Topics of discussion such as this are more of politics than it relates to legal section of the forum. Its not a legal action for the adoption of bitcoin neither is it about laws making that relates to crypto currency couple with the tax element of things. This is purely board room politics that no one cares about. Its simply some capitalists fighting each other on who will get the maximum share of the cake and nothing else eventually they would meet in hotel lobby and greet each other after they must have even resolve to settle out of court with a bigger paycheck.

Honestly you cannot really talk about law without including the politics behind it, even if you attend law school they don't just talk about laws they also talke about vases and politics. This case on Micree about him being forced out of his company is a really big deal especially now when Bitmain is planning to go publicly listed in the USA. This may not be directly related to laws governing on Bitcoin and its adoption but these covers how  a co-founder of a mining manufacturing company got ousted from his company. If these case is done I'm sure that it will give a new precedence in the law which may change the courses of the outcome of other cases related to this.
974  Economy / Speculation / Re: OMG, BitCoin is spiking !!! What is causing this ??? on: January 14, 2020, 06:41:37 PM
If you are looking at crypto news (which you shouldn't) for a reason why Bitcoin is pumping you'll see either it is about Craig Wright's nearing on his claim for the 8.5 $ billion dollars worth of Bitcoin or BAKKT being strong in crypto. But if you just looked at the charts BTC just broke a major downtrend line at 8,200$ and on top of it BTC is now above its 200 EMA moving average which it hasn't passed for a long time, now if we continue on an up trend and break the 200 MA line at around 9,120$ there is a good chance we go straight right up at 11,000$.
975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When trading, never ignore the statoshi value of your coins on: January 14, 2020, 04:40:23 PM
Although I may profit when the profits was calculated in dollars but unknowingly I lost massively in Satoshi value.

You need to lose something in order to gain another. If you sell something you don't expect to have the same value/quantity you have beforehand, with that kind of mindset you'll just be afraid to trade or do the right move in the process. If you are still worried about the quantity of your BTC I think the best thing for you to do is to short Bitcoin so that if you buy Bitcoin again at a cheaper price you'll gain more BTC while still earning some profit if you decide to just re-invest your capital.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 13, 2020, 09:16:09 PM
Serie A is the least entertaining league in Europe. 38 matchdays, one year of rivalry and always Juventus brings home Scudetto. How much more?

The sad thing about the othe top teams in the Serie A is they don't have the ability to lure in other players from  other leagues and if they do it will be overpriced to bring him in, as far as I see how the last transfer window goes only Juventus and Inter Milan is a destination for players. Even top managers aren't interested in managing a team in Serie A just like what happened to AC Milan when they failed to get Allegri and even Spalletti on getting a contract with them. As long as the other teams don't compete well against Juventus they won't lure anyone in from the outside to make them much more stronger.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are giving too much attention on the halving on: January 13, 2020, 07:07:45 PM
You created this post as if Bitcoin is not receiving enough attention and development that investor's on their own personal interest should be shifted towards technical aide of Bitcoin. Well to tell you honestly once Bitcoin is explained technically i'm sure that we won't gain anything or move faster into adoption because on the eyes of the viewer it will just complicate a lot of things, they might even think that Bitcoin is difficult to be operated as a payment system. So really we don't need some kind of advocacy in the technical side as a way to promote adoption and if you want to talke about it we have two boards in the forum for that.

I created this topic because I understand what is the world's view on Bitcoin right now. You are promoting it as a way to get rich by next summer which will have the opposite results from what you are expecting.
I hope you will understand this some time soon.

And where did you get that idea as well? I've looked at my own post history especially the ones found in the speculation board and trading discussion section all the contents of my recent posts are based on analysis and nothing about hyping Bitcoin or staying positive for it. From what I am seeing I think know that you see there are two kinds of people in the industry the ones who are promoting the price movements and the ones who are promoting the tech itself but to be honest there are also people who care both aspects and not just here to make money out of BTC's price movement.
978  Other / Meta / Re: Future possible again change Forum Ranking Rules ? on: January 13, 2020, 05:38:29 PM
Are you asking or are you requesting for a much easier merit system? If you are asking for just the possibility of it then the answer is yes, but if you are requesting for a much easier way to rank up then the answer is no. If I recalled it correctly the last tweak theymos did was adding a 1 merit requirement for Jr. Members to rank up to member status due to the rampant spam happening in the forum. So if you are expecting for a change don't expect it to be easier but become harder especially for shitposters.
979  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-01-03] Alleged $8B BTC Tulip Trust Expires With Tales of Bonded Couriers on: January 13, 2020, 04:40:35 PM
^With that news BSV has pumped almost 60% of its value from 108$ to around 163$ in just a week and all I can see with this new document is more into speculation rather than something factual to base a trade on. Until now all I will see are delays on him actually receiving the Bitcoin he is “destined” to own so I won't realky be surprised if other documents will pop up and add some more speculation into the mill.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are giving too much attention on the halving on: January 13, 2020, 03:18:03 PM
I think this subject should be discussed more and promoted further by influencers to convince everyone to give Bitcoin a chance.

I dream for the day when every merchant, online or physical store, will have the price of Bitcoin tagged next to fiat price and I think it will become reality soon.

You created this post as if Bitcoin is not receiving enough attention and development that investor's on their own personal interest should be shifted towards technical aide of Bitcoin.
