981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: March 26, 2023, 06:24:01 AM
Plant was starting to get cocky early in the fight. He started off great but once he felt David's power his strategy fell apart and he turned into a punching bag the entire second half of the fight. I'm impressed that it went the distance with the amount of punishment that Plant took. Benavidez is indeed a monster and this makes me much more interested in seeing him fight Canelo. He has earned that opportunity. That is a fight where either guy could win by knockout so it is going to have a lot more demand with boxing fans than Canelo against Ryder or a rematch against Bivol.
982  Other / Off-topic / Re: Been feeding this cat that visits, but I am moving... on: March 26, 2023, 06:08:29 AM
The cat might be sad for a few days but it will eventually move on. They are intuitive enough to figure out that new people are now living at this house. Cats are natural hunters so they will know how to survive when you are gone. You are probably not the only person in your area who feeds stray cats so I am sure it will be fine and find a new place to visit for dinner.

The outcome is already predetermined but no one has told me and anyone else why when we use Play All button we only see 4 prizes and when we play every time each spin by clicking the Play One all the prizes are on the Wheel of Fortune.I have tried both options with clicking each spin being done early and I have received better prizes I don't know why just pure luck and randomness while lately now that I play Play All button I keep hitting only normal base prizes and once a while a Golden Ticket rarely.

I love to click each spin separately but lately I have lost patience and just hit the Play All button.

It only shows 4 prizes because the iPhone, Rolex, and Amazon gift card prizes are paid in BTC.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 24, 2023, 06:25:27 AM
ETH has solidified it's position at the top of altcoin market cap rankings. Many of the most popular projects on the Ethereum blockchain can also be found on Binance Smart Chain, but even if you can replicate anything on ETH on other blockchains it has not been enough to dethrone it. People seem to trust the more established and less centralized coin.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun sued by SEC. Effect on Bitcoin? on: March 23, 2023, 04:19:10 AM
I'm not as optimistic as some other people in this thread. Whether Tron is a centralized shitcoin is of little importance to the SEC. Anything that is a threat to the US dollar they will try to go after. Tron just happens to be an easy target but it is naive to believe they won't ever go after Bitcoin.

The list doesn't inform the number of each winning ticket [from 1 to 210,542,874]

The number of the winning ticket is determined by the provably fair formula. If you do the calculations then you will find that the first place prize ticket number is #26,607,501 which belongs to user ID 3153515.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 19, 2023, 10:32:02 PM
@mirakal - yes we can look it that way, but maybe it's the fault of the governing body that they have a interim champion that we didn't know and probably it's because Canelo is the cash cow and wanted more name fighters and thinks that Ryder doesn't deserved it. But Canelo doesn't have a choice now, he is coming from an injury and this is the right time to give Ryder his chance, beat him and remove that interim title for him.

More often than not it seems like the sanctioning bodies will mandate whichever fighter is handpicked by the champion's promoter. We saw this with Keith Thurman being named Errol Spence's mandatory even though he wasn't the most deserving fighter. Ryder doesn't deserve to fight for the undisputed title but he is with Matchroom, who is Canelo's preferred promoter, so the WBC will just go along with whatever is most beneficial for Eddie Hearn.

Earlier, I had speculated that the size of the base rewards of the wheel of fortune might start decreasing in the range of $30k-33k, but it looks like the freebitcoin team decided to lower that range to $25k-26k. As an example, here is a post of a user who used spins on May 8, 2022, and his base reward size was 47 sats while the BTC price was in the range of $34k to $35k that day.
And I calculated that the minimum reward of the WOF spins will go below 50 when Bitcoin price will reach above $40k. The base reward was around 33 satoshi when Bitcoin price reached it's ATH. I think they have lowered it earlier to minimise their losses. Because, they are giving away a lot of extra rewards to their users through the premium membership benefits.

$40k used to be the original threshold for where base rewards would start going below 50 but that threshold has been steadily decreasing since late 2021. In retrospect, it does not seem like the high APY for FUN savings plus premium benefits on top of that was sustainable so like other yield generating crypto investments they needed to make adjustments.
989  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: March 18, 2023, 05:03:01 AM
Bitcoin will eventually rise back up to $50,000. The time and date is what is unknown. It will not happen overnight. The conditions are there for it to continue going up. There have been some recent notable bank failures. People are less confident in their government as we're seeing with protests across France. We are also seeing the US dollar starting to lose it's dominance as a global reserve currency. Regulators might try to suppress its adoption but there are too many things trending in Bitcoin's favor right now.
990  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: March 16, 2023, 11:15:54 PM
I think this puts to rest those conspiracy theories about Chipmixer being a honeypot operated by government agencies.

I doubt this will affect regular users but there is a possibility they could try to shut down this forum. There is already a similar precedent when Deep Dot Web was seized by the FBI. It would be an overreach for them to go this route but if they really wanted to shut down BitcoinTalk this would be their best opportunity. As far as I'm aware Chipmixer didn't advertise anywhere else besides this forum.
991  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 16, 2023, 05:52:11 AM
Unfortunately, it is often that your own family will look to take advantage of you. Three thousand dollars is a very large amount to loan somebody even if they are a very trustworthy person. You had every right to deny their request if you had doubts about getting repaid. Whenever I've struggled financially I would rather make sacrifices to make ends meet on my own than to become indebted to a family member and have them resent me if I wasn't able to repay them in a timely manner.

Sometimes i do ask for the casino this platform operate with but i couldn't get an answer, so it depends on people you feel like asking, since i come to this platform i was wondering if this platform is for poker games or normal casino kind of gambling, because i have never seen than.

There is only dice, lottery, and betting on a limited amount of sporting events available here. If you are looking for more traditional casino games there are several other casinos from the same owners advertised when you log in.

Trustpilot is also a place that takes money to delete bad comments if you pay them. It has been leaked before and there were mails from the staff members that said if you paid them X amount (changes based on how many bad comments there are) then they can delete some of it, and that made the overall point you got there better.

I am sure you can abuse it to promote your business, but their entire business model is based on blackmailing companies into saying "take my money and delete bad comments", that's how they are managed. Thankfully freebitco.in doesn't need any of that, they are already one of the most visited crypto websites, so they don't need trustpilot to say anything about them.

I remember a few years ago the Bitcoin.com admins had my negative review taken down when I complained about getting scammed on their knock-off version of Local Bitcoins. Looking at their page now and they have suspiciously gone from being a 1-star rated company when I originally left my review to being a 5-star rated company today. Almost all the positive reviews appear to be bots so it is obvious that these ratings can be easily manipulated.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how do I keep my private key safe? on: February 24, 2023, 04:33:36 AM
The level of security that is necessary depends on the amount you intend to store. If it's a few hundred dollars then an encrypted software wallet should be enough. If you want to store thousands then you might want to invest in a hardware wallet or a cold storage solution.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin and no downtime till now in 11 years on: February 23, 2023, 04:44:40 AM
If a merchant is going to accept altcoins then Litecoin is a good choice. Transfers are fast and cheap and I don't remember the last time there was a major issue affecting the network. It is one of the most stable cryptocurrency networks. Litecoin tends to follow bitcoin's steps in development so it should be reliable and secure.

As an investment I am not that interested in Litecoin but I have used it in the past for making small payments and fees were high on BTC.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 21, 2023, 03:13:30 PM
Looking at Tommy Fury's record I don't see anybody who can be remotely considered a challenging opponent. Washed up former MMA fighters would have been a massive step up for him. His record is padded with easy wins and now it seems he is ready to cash out. For Jake this is just another name to add to his resume. Even if he wins I still see his career as a joke. Boxrec has these guys ranked at #349 and #378 so a win for either guy won't make them a legitimate contender but they can at least keep the hype going for future celebrity fights they can sell on pay-per-view.
997  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain.com playing with the company's money? Rumor or truth? on: February 21, 2023, 04:47:04 AM
I don't see how they could possibly have ever been worth billions of dollars. They are best known for their web wallet and block explorer. In 2023, web wallets should be obsolete and there are dozens of block explorers that do the exact same thing as Blockchain.com. They gained a lot of investors by being one of the earliest Bitcoin companies but have not done much to create anything of value in recent years.
998  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: December 29, 2022, 04:16:26 AM

JUMP! (09/11/2022 - 08/12/2022) ROI - 10,9806%

Interest made from the 3 months holding FUN tokens was a game changer. 4,9907% interest made on the day of the FUN's sale! I think it was worthful to have waited 3 months for that, although FUN price starts falling a little bit compared to bitcoin now. For that reason, I'm locking FUN for 1 month time period again. I prefer to guarantee a steady income every month than risking locking for 3 months and having a more devalued FUN compared to btc price by there. From next month on the investment is going to become more profitable, because it's entering the 4th stage: 180 days holding.

I was confused because I thought this said you had over 10k% ROI. For BTC you use a regular period to separate decimals but used a comma for ROI giving the impression you were talking about a percentage in the thousands.
999  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 28, 2022, 12:21:22 AM

Yes. We only write 2 decimals to your roll history. So something else is writing that incorrect roll history.
There is another giveaway as well. Just using the first roll as an example. It isn't possible to make a 31.0099999 bet because if you entered it manually it would change it to a 31.05x bet as soon as you click elsewhere.
Because we use whole numbers it gives:
To win, BET HI and get a number higher than 9694 or BET LO and get a number lower than 306
If we actually allowed a 31.009999 bet it would be the same win/lose numbers but you would get paid less on a large bet.

The issue seems to be related to using keyboard shortcuts. If you use shortcuts to change the odds it will be possible to generate a number with 15 decimal places. Even though the corrected odds are rolled on FreeBitco.in's server and recorded in the database, the incorrect number is displayed locally in the user's roll history.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 27, 2022, 11:23:06 PM
This seems kind of like a pointless fight to me. Thurman has been inactive and hasn't beaten a ranked fighter in several years but now he magically became the WBC's #1 ranked contender out of nowhere. Spence should be fighting his mandatory Jaron Ennis or Eimantas Stanionis who has been waiting a long time for his opportunity and has been paid to step aside. The only thing that Thurman has going for him is that he's a recognizable name but I doubt he'll be any more of a challenge than Danny Garcia and Ugas were to Errol Spence.
