I appreciate the very quick responses. I take back my unverified statements. I was unaware that the Bitcoin Dice site existed. Thank you guys for the clarification.

But this opens up another can of worms, I'm not sure how I feel about the owner of a site gambling large amounts against his own site with a 50% kickback. It seems like he's a pretty big loser on other sites, but a huge winner overall and all because of his site. Not saying he is doing anything wrong, but it doesn't give off the best perception to investors that the guy who wrote the code is betting against it and winning huge somehow. I will research and think about this some more.

As an investor, you shouldn't care whether an app owner is wagering or not -- it's the exact same scenario to you. Whether it's a random person betting 1 BTC or an app owner, you have the same exact chance to both lose and win that 1 BTC (as a whole, in the BR). Nothing changes for you.

UPDATE:

All Moneypot services are up and running. In the past few days, we had some random short-lived DDoS burst attacks, and the servers are set to auto-reload in case it hits a certain threshold. Anyway, as always, funds are in no way affected by this, most of the funds are stored on a off-line remote multi-sig wallet, while our hot wallet is also hosted on a separate remote server.

INCIDENT REPORT:

The DDoS attacks that was made on Moneypot front-end servers was huge that it crashes our servers, there was also a time when our providers had to disable our server's network because the attack was so damaging. During those times, players were having a hard time to login to our website.

I have been in contact with CloudFlare in regards to this attacks, and some adjustments were made to mitigate this. IP addresses of suspected attacks where banned, and this included some legitimate users. I have made all effort to unblock all legitimate ips and have already fixed this since.

We have not received any Emails from the attacker, except one message from a newbie account here on BCT which is named 'icanhelpyou'. I did not and will not entertain any kind of extortion message or email.

Due to this incident, development of alt-coin integration and the version 2 of Moneypot was put to a halt to give more time scaling and upgrading our security. Rest assured the development of the said new features will resume as  soon as possible.

There are alot of reasons why the attack was made on Moneypot, one of those reasons is that we have one of the largest investor-funded bankroll, and as day passes by, more and more people trusts us with their bitcoins which makes us a perfect target for such unethical attack.

Thank you,
-uni

Thanks for the public incident report and update, and thank you for your time and effort in keeping everything up! Smiley
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: www.gamebet.gg Launches GameBet Coin (GBT) eSports -- SALE OVER!!! on: June 27, 2016, 12:15:17 AM
I would just like to say the following:

I know a few people that are the whales in this coin (they own quite a bit over 10%+ of the coin supply). Since I am involved in a few other business deals with them, it indirectly affects my business if GBT does poorly (as they lose value on their investment). Because of this, I made the following offer to the GBT Dev team (which was rejected):

1. The MoneyPot team takes over development/hosting/marketing for Gamebet. This would be a boon for Gamebet, as MoneyPot already has over 20k registered users. MoneyPot would not only honor the obligation to all token holders, but increase profit share for token holders from 10%, to 25%.
2. Current development team gets to keep 70BTC from the dev fund. The remaining dev fund+GBT supply held by the dev team is handed over to MoneyPot to finance the continuation of this project.

Best of luck to holders of this token.

So all this time that you were spreading FUD, your plan was a hostile takeover?

I'm not sure you understand, at this point Acoin is throwing the project a lifeline since no updates other than Jadesnail has appeared. I own over 10% of all tokens, at ICO price and support Acoin since he has a proven track record and access to a network of active bettors through moneypot.

I understand that, but he has been bashing this project from the beginning, way before we knew the developers were incompetent.  But, Hey, I'm all for it if it gives us a second chance at success.

If you were an actual investor, you'd have picked up on the many red flags early on. That said, the goal at this point isn't to destroy GBT, but rather create a solution that benefits its users, the owners (which are now a month into a broken project with no word as to what's even happening), and bring it back to life. The past warnings were all justified, explained, etc. But that's not the point. The past is the past. Let's look at the future.
1384  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: June 25, 2016, 03:05:12 AM
got some of the suggestion, because i wanna have a more advanced and more accurate of probability of gambling games.
like yours, it is  2^32; because of that, some of the low-odd games are less accurate in probability. Huh

I don't get what you're asking for. 2^32 possibilities are MASSIVE, and give plenty of room for accuracy. If you wanted a smaller number, you'd just allocate accordingly.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: www.gamebet.gg Launches GameBet Coin (GBT) eSports -- SALE OVER!!! on: June 23, 2016, 01:57:59 AM
I still can't even log into the site after 22 days of it being broken) so nope.

Do you use 2-factor authentication?

Who is stupid enough to trust finances on a site WITHOUT 2FA? Was that a serious question?
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: www.gamebet.gg Launches GameBet Coin (GBT) eSports -- SALE OVER!!! on: June 22, 2016, 01:19:59 PM
Can anyone send their GBT to the site wallet yet?

They were able to build a functional betting website without any of our ico $, but now we cant even log into the system  Huh   This was obviously  a cash grab.    We lose    they win.

Been away a while, was hoping by now that I could log in. Main site still errors and the beta site still just appends /?otp=codehere to the URL so if you have 2FA you can't log in. 18 days since this started and that just seems excessive...
1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BeamCoin Launched!!! (Airdrop registration closes on 7 June) on: June 09, 2016, 02:53:36 AM
I see my name twice on the list

# 85
and
# 86

No 85 was my first submission with just the UID number
No 86 was my second submission with the direct full link to my profile

thanks!

Mine has the wrong address listed. I had sent a PM the first time with an address and then realized I didn't run client as admin so the wallet file wasn't saved. Did it properly the second time and sent the new address, which is what was responded to but for some reason the list shows the first (outdated) instead of the proper one. Sent another PM with no response yet.

Guys, there won't no any pumps until the Team did good working new site

As of now I still can't login. Main site errors and beta doesn't allow you to log in if you use 2fa...

Same problem here, old site login not working. New site my login works but the site is buggy as hell.
No response from the devs.

I'm guessing those of you who can log in don't have 2fa? Because the 2fa code is just sent as part of the URL, rather than actually being processed. It just sends you to the URL http://gamebet.gg/app/?otp=111111, where otp = your 2fa code. But it won't actually log in.
1390  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: June 08, 2016, 01:12:11 AM
Here's a better example: I flip a coin.  It lands tails three times in a row.  I get ready to flip it again.  Do you think it's more likely to land heads on this flip than tails?  Why?  The coin has no memory.

I really like the coin example, because people can look at a coin and see it has no memory of the past. What tends to really confuse people is more abstract things like "low game median". E.g. over the last 1000 games, let's say the median is bust was 1.9.  We know the median is going to trend back towards 1.97x -- so surely it's a good time to bet?

The coin example is actually a fallacy. Theoretically we could say it's 50/50 but the coins aren't equally weighted. Things like dirt and oils further offset this, which, in turn, alters how it flips. So in reality it's not really 50/50, despite usually being used as an example, :p.

You are simply stupid for
1. expecting 200BTC for such account.
2. expecting someone here has that much.

Tons of people have that much. But none are going to be stupid enough to throw away money like that.
1393  Economy / Goods / Re: Ever wanted to be your own boss? Get cheap supplies from me! Long term, reliable on: June 07, 2016, 07:48:22 AM
Do you have a list of items you can buy or you work like total freelancer and will search for anything your customer want you to?
And what exactly is this "online platform" of yours? Do you buy items from Chinese online stores or something?

Last questions: do you provide vouch copies of your services and how do you plan on securing transaction. You didn't mention escrow.

Also interested in more information. On the escrow, I don't believe that's possible in this case. He said you pay manufacturer directly (which also means he isn't liable in case they don't follow through, since he can't control them). So there's definitely some risk involved, but if he's good at what he does, that can be mitigated to a large degree.

Hey guys,

Before I begin this update, I’d like to apologize for a lack of responsiveness as of late. I’ve had some family emergencies and in my absence there were numerous attacks on our infrastructure (that I had John post from my account) as we began migrations and setting up new servers.

A minor amount of withdrawals encountered errors while automatically being processed due to these back end infrastructure migrations we have been executing. The majority of withdrawals processed smoothly and any withdrawals that were previously held up have been taken care of accordingly now.

We’re currently working on integrating the key components of the new UI to the site and we’re eager to reach the point where we can complete our transition. However, until this point we will leave the “old UI” intact as the main page. In the new UI we’ve developed, it’s already possible to prove ownership of a GBT address (and there by register it for dividend payouts). Currently, there is not a way to add a default dividend BTC address, and this will be added in the near future (before the end of the month).

We encourage users to offer feedback as we integrate and mold the new site - for example, one user mentioned there are too many matches on the index page. We agree with you Smiley. We intend on paginating the content on the match filter to allow you to browse through matches easier and this is just one of many changes that we’re still continuing to work on.

We’ll be having a Discord meeting on the 12th (Sunday) at 12:00pm PST. At this time, we will be looking to announce our official stance on the legality of GBT and what you as an investor can expect from us going forward. Of course, we’ll be talking about the changes we’re working on as well Wink

In other news, I (Daily Modo) have been independently working with two other groups outside of GameBet who’re developing projects in regards to Binary Options Trading for specific altcoins (and other tickers) as well as a Dice project. While I can’t provide details about either of these (as I’ve been asked to be brief) you can expect the Dice site will have a unique twist to it that will make it quite different from existing dice sites.

To clarify my role with these groups, I’ve been asked to organize update posts, coordinating their teams and serve as an advisor to impart onto them my past experiences as well as things I’ve learned while working on GameBet. I’d like to stress, working with these groups will not derail my time spent on GameBet, as it is my intent to help get these groups on the right track such that once they become well established GameBet can officially partner with them in the future.

Thank you, I truly appreciate all the support we get from the GameBet community. Please, if you have any inquires reach out to us at business@gamebet.gg and support@gamebet.gg and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible! Cheers.

Any update on login issues?

Trying to log into beta site now throws errors/just puts you back on the home page
Trying to log into the main site throws invalid username/password message

1399  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: PokerStars Play Money Into Bitcoin on: June 05, 2016, 02:37:02 AM
yeah i used to run a pokerstars play money store back in the day too.

I used to pay $10 per million chips and resold them for $18 per million.

I was making about $200 profit a day until pokerstars started selling chips too.

my old site was pokerstarsmoneymaker.com and pokerstars was pissed and they wanted me to give it up to them. I told them to buy it and they refused...then when i gave up on the site, they scooped it up quick!

It was a good name because the most famous players username was "moneymaker" (Chris "Money Maker")... the guy that won the WSOP from a pokerstars tournament.

good luck with your new project.

do they still have a limit of 20 million that you can have in your account at one time?

I'm surprised play chips have that much value. What are they for? Like can you actually use them for anything?

Dont take my word...  Log onto Gamebet.gg and see for yourself how everything is going...

I would but, y'kno, I can't. Beta throws up 2fa errors, main site throws up login errors. The site is currently unusable for me and has been for a couple days.
