The site's loading for me but I can't log in. Every time I try, it just gives me a random hash and puts me back at the front page again... is this part of the DDOS? Page loads instantly and always instantly gives the new hash when I try to log in and redirects me.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: May 23, 2016, 02:24:08 AM
I'm using:

Devcoin version v0.8.5.1-g25a7d46-beta

The latest one on the site. I got almost fully synched last night and then it got invalid blocks again and won't start, Sad.
Try to remove block chain, leave only wallet.dat and devcoin.conf (make a backup of wallet.dat, if it has the money)
In devcoin.conf write:
Code:
rpcuser=devcoinrpclogin
rpcpassword=devcoinrpcpassword
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=52332
irc=0
connect=199.192.77.162:52333
connect=82.200.205.30:52333
connect=69.197.61.58:52333

Do not write "addnode", write "connect".
"connect =" - connection is possible only to a specified node.
"addnode =" - a node that connects to your wallet sends the entire list of nodes. Among them may be nodes with incorrect block chain
After synchronization can be rewritten to "addnode".
Sorry, my English is very far from perfect.

Will try with your settings. And I've been deleting everything but wallet.dat. It always locks up on one specific block and throws error after error: 167999

Trying another fresh start with your .conf now, will report back, Smiley.

Not sure what to do. I used your exact settings, fresh directory (even wallet), hit the same exact block and errored out due to orphans. Re-tried on a system that never even had Devcoin on it before, same block, same errors.

When I hit that block and restart the wallet, it always errors out with "Can't connect to best block." And the log is full of orphans.

How up to date are these IP addresses? http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin_seeds

The following suitable seeds are known at this time:

198.154.60.183
174.34.170.240
There are also some nodes people have posted, that would be suitable for use with the -addnode option either by the command line or configuration file if you are having trouble getting connections. Known at the time of this writing are:

dvc.rpwt.org:52333
devcoin.rpwt.org:52333

devcoin.rpwt.org:52333
dvc.us.public.txn.co.in
dvc.eu.public.txn.co.in
dvc.public.txn.co.in ( picks one of the above )
dcnode.bitparking.com

I checked them when I was making that list about 12 months ago, and I don't think anyone's checked them since, so about that. Are there some that you think need to be removed?
remove dvc.rpwt.org and devcoin.rpwt.org, change to d.evco.in

I added the two IPs at the top and d.evco.in to my seed list and now I connect but still can't sync. Here's what I get flooded with (but with different block hashes):

Yea guys its never been an issue of will I get my BTC. I trust moneypot team 100% with my BTC and know ill be paid. I just dont wanna wait 1-3 hours for the BTC I withdrawal to confirm. Not a huge deal normally

We now have 100 bit and 200 bit fee options for withdrawals Smiley

Is that the total fee or fee rate per KB? Let's say if someone makes a 10 btc withdrawal that uses a lot of inputs and hence has a huge tx size, is the tx fee still set at 100 / 200 bits?
I think it should be fairly obvious that it is total withdrawal, just as it has always been. The user has no control over the makeup of the size of the transaction. Plus even 100 bits per kB would be much higher then the current rate needed for a fast confirmation

I am not sure if this is the ideal case. My experience on another site is that the site will charge me 200 bit always, and the tx fee will always be 200 bits per KB. If my transaction size is small, the site will charge more fee than the actual fee used, and vice versa.

I have not made a transaction this week yet, so I have no info of confirmation time at different fee rate. But from the data on https://bitcoinfees.github.io/, 100 bits (=10k satoshi) per KB doesn't seem enough for a fast (within 1 or 2 blocks for example) confirmation, as the red line (for 6 blocks) has been above the 10k satoshi mark most of the time last week.

It's a flat-rate fee, so it's either 100 or 200 bits regardless of tx size (as you have no control over that part). At most, MP breaks even. Otherwise MP just pays more for tx than you're being charged, Smiley.

Whoa what's with the current price? Nothing but good development here and Rubies not soaring? This market so effed.

Its cheap coins. This is when you make your money. Load up while everyone is pouring into eth and by the time it comes around, you will be a large bag holder and thats when you are a whale. You wont make the money you hear about people making if you get in as its going up.

"Don't try to catch a falling knife." It really goes both ways. That said, I believe in RBIES, and I'm in it 'til the end, one way or the other, Smiley. Yacht or bust!

1431  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- Your Trusted Bitcoin Gambling Wallet (Upgraded Speeds!) on: May 19, 2016, 08:52:33 AM
All that being said, still though...137 BTC is nearly $70,000 lost :-P Even if that was over 10 minutes or 10 months it'd still suck so bad, but I guess the size of the loss is directly proportional to the size of the bankroll Smiley

I don't think you understand how this works. He has not lost 137BTC, or deposited that much; that just means that he has wagered that amount. Even if you start with 1BTC, you could easily end up wagering multiple amounts of BTC with that single deposit. Does that make sense? You use the same btc you started with, but every time you bet, win or lose, gets added to the amount wagered.

Net profit is how much he's earned or lost. He has, in fact, lost 137+ BTC. His wagered is actually 6,263+.
1432  Economy / Services / Re: I need someone that is trusted and has an ADSENSE account. on: May 19, 2016, 08:45:56 AM
Keep in mind that if you earn over $x (600 in the U.S.), whoever owns the account is also reported to the IRS for taxes. So while you may earn $1000, they give you 900 and keep 100, but they're going to pay taxes of 350 or so, effectively losing money in the process. It obviously depends on where the other party is from, but it's something to be aware of.
That will not happen I think, because I don't live in the US. I will reach probably one payout in three months.
It does take long to make that amount with adsense. I hope I can find someone that is trustable and fair, otherwise I will just leave it.

It doesn't matter where you're from, it matters where the other party is from. When you sign up to AdSense, you have to submit tax information to get any payments. i.e., if I were to let you use my account, income would be added to my taxes, which are claimed by AdSense as contractor payments, so you're subject to self-employment taxes (like 35%). If I added you, and you pulled $1k in a year, I'd be paying you 900, the IRS 350, and yet I'd have only gotten $1000. So I'd have lost money.
Okay, them the rates will be adjusted to the fee that is in their country. If you would be able to provide your account, then it would be fine for me. I don't know if you want to, but tell me so.

In the case u agree, I will PM later with the site name, there is no content yet, but I will be working on that for a few days. Thanks in advance!

I personally wouldn't, just because it can cause issues on my end (I'm not familiar enough with you and would essentially be putting my reputation/longstanding history on the line). I was just bringing this up because most people here probably haven't run a site that's successful/earned enough to have to deal with tax implications.

That said, good luck with it! I'm interested in seeing what you build, if you wanna toss me a PM later. Maybe I can help in other ways, Smiley.

On a positive note distribution is getting better over the past 2 months: http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/RBIES/richlist.php

It'd be kind of cool to see like a historical distribution (basically showing the changes over time) for this.

Investor Profit is now at 180.9 btc, which I believe is an all-time high. Congrats to every investor and MP.
Wow, congrats to everyone who invested! Too bad a lot of Bitcoin are now in the bankroll, making the profit for each investor smaller. I regret not investing a few weeks ago, or maybe longer when the profit was at 100 Bitcoin since I thought that it would go down more. Guess not!

It is from a lot of people though. Usually the whales who bet tens of Bitcoin at a time can afford to lose it for whatever reason, like being an early investor.

It's never too late to get involved, though. Bigger BR just means bigger whales can take part, so you still have the chance to get large gains.

Nowadays Funcaptcha and Google Adsense aren't  an option for faucet owners.

AdSense is fine if you're running a site with content on it. And if you plan to grow your faucet's user base, this is a core part of it regardless.
I though you need to read these topics first

 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1467259.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1471100.0;topicseen

First link pretty much said what I said. In fact, here's a quote from it: "a faucet with ads only and no content is just like a PTC (paid-to-click) site which is against adsense TOS." Like I said, it needs content.

Now, the second is interesting... "Violation explanation:

INCENTIVIZED TRAFFIC: As stated in our program policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on sites with content related to programs offering incentives to click links or ads, read emails, or surf other websites."

I'd argue that this is incorrect, though. A faucet isn't paying people to click ads. There's NO incentive whatsoever for even clicking them. There's more to the story than the person is sharing, I'm sure.
