i guess i'm in the minority in that i find apple's o/s to be counter-intuitive. it slows me down using it. on the other hand, i still fucking hate windows 8 on my laptop.. so damn annoying how the metro screen accidentally pops up, and how i have to resort to a third party software to have a start button.

I heard China banned Windows 8 this week  if this is true, it's a real blessing to the Chinese people. I hate 8 china should only ban legitimate copies of windows 8. they will burn/counterfeit their own DVDs and sell them themselves. |

As for Russian products in the US, i know of the Kaspersky anti-virus software. Im sure there are some others but I dont know by head.
Missile engines. Military airplanes and parts Helicopters Uran titan don't forget mail-order brides, vodka and prostitutes  btw, that whole kaspersky thing is quite funny.. it comes from a country that is notoriously known for phishing/scams. it's considered one of the better antivirus software, even though relations between the U.S. and russia have never been rosy. |

it must have been China, we would be at 50$ without anyway  What do you think about ltc/btc? Buy with both hands or wait a couple more day? It is a great time to flip some extra BTC into LTC...the ratio is lower than I have seen in a long time. I have had really good success in flipping these back and forth. Ultimately holding much more BTC is better IMO, but hedging with some LTC never hurts... seems to me that LTC was intentionally being pumped and dumped though.. if the people who were behind it don't want to do it again, you might end up losing some money. |

on a related note, does anything think that when russia was "cracking" down on gay people.. it was meant to "unify" the country, to basically check how much fervor there is within russian society? that would be a good way of preparing for war, as the nazis did it. just find someone to hate/point your finger to, and then everybody who is not part of that group will become untied in disenfranchising those people.
Ummno. 1, they didn't "crack" down on gay people. They banned HBTQ propaganda for minors. 2, they are not preparing their citizens for war. well, it's kinda pertinent in that it's about russian society. Oh, c'mon, we see this gay-people-cracking-down stuff again and again...  Nobody cracking down on them, it's a total BS. Nobody cares about gays here, some pop stars and politicials are open homosexuals, they're still alive and active. This "gay people prosecutions" bullshit is not even funny anymore. It's so far from the reality that I'm unable to imagine how anybody can believe that. This would be like a belief into spaghetti monster or martian invasion, the same level of stupidity. Sexual orientation is nobody's business, it's a private matter. If some person thinks too much about someone's orientation, then he needs to visit a doctor, without any delay. at this point, i am confused and have no idea who the good or bad guy is. maybe there is no good guy, just the guy looking out for his own interests. how can we point the finger at china when we've been monitoring people from all other countries? that'll only add fuel to the fire. china would respond "well, you guys do it too." and it would be a legitimate rebuttal.
yes, this is indeed the case. In fact, the US helped China (and others) with mass surveillance systems. Good/bad guy is only in the movies, in real life there is financial interest and interest of resources. well, even though i'm american, it seems that they just use the media as an apparatus to convince people that we are the good guys, and they are the baddies.. even though we do the same shit as they do. it's okay that we do bad shit, because you know.. nationalism. |

This announcement caused people to dump their XRP, then Jed just buys them all up for cheaper, without dumping a single of his own XRP  i think if that were true, it would sully his name and his brand.. so i'd like to see him try it. imo im not sure if i would announce something like that; what if he has to change his mind for some legitimate reason? if there were a reason to change his mind, he'd be in a no-win situation. either sell off your coins when you think it's not lucrative to do so, or hold onto your coins and face the wrath of the public. It's stupid that I am the first to bring that up but here it is.
JED probably cares enough about his own money that he won't exhaust the order-book with his sales but essentially do it automated based on liquidity. Essentially, in his case prolonging the process of cashing out over his whole expected lifetime.
If he cared solely about his own money, the way to make the most would be to not tell people in advance. wouldn't he draw criticism for dumping all, if not most, of his holdings? |

the media, like you, will take this out of context. his point was that it's not necessarily about race, but how one presents themselves.. that's why he referenced the white guy in the same manner that he did the black guy.

American brands such as the Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonalds are quite popular in Russia. So I really doubt how much successful this boycott will be in the major cities of Russia.

Kvass is tasty and I like to buy mine at the Deli but that's unfortunately the only place to get it, and it's a hassle. $6 for 2 litre bottle but I can get 2L Coa Cola for $.99 cent when it's on special. Ironically I am almost certain rye bread is cheaper than sugar but meh. i'd imagine a russian soda brand would probably randomly have a syringe in it.. seems like russian quality control is to half-ass everything. oh, mother russia! |
