2161  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama backs away from campaign promise of net neutrality on: May 17, 2014, 03:55:39 AM

Not surprising for those who could see his true lying Nobel Peace Prize Winner tongue moving...

My thoughts exactly. I really valued Nobel Prize, but when he got it, I did not know what to think about it. It was really premature to gave it to Obama for literally nothing! Yes, all he did was winning US elections, done! That is his only achievement. I wish they could take it back :/

yeah it's quite strange.. he was masterful in running his campaigns in 2008 and 2012, but in terms of leading and maneuvering in washington, he doesn't seem to be very good at it. while i don't like him at all, i definitely feel a republican wouldn't be any better than him.
2162  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama backs away from campaign promise of net neutrality on: May 17, 2014, 03:19:40 AM
It is pretty bizarre the only way to "defend" what Obama does now is to tell everyone he is simply a puppet, always has been, was never really too smart, nor responsible. Funny if it wasn't that sad...

Correct.  He is religious.

He's a puppet to the christian views.

it's funny because during the 2012 campaign, there was a kooky obama hater who accused him of being a muslim, atheist, satan worshipper, and christian all in one.
2163  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Mark Karpelès a member of the Terrorist organization Illuminati? on: May 17, 2014, 03:16:06 AM
That really wouldn't make much sense if he was part of the illuminati...

it would make as much sense as his conspiracy theories do. but yeah, my kooky conspiracy theory is that actor tom truong is trying to sound all crazy with his illuminati theories, so that the idea of the illuminati will be marginalized.. all while they exist to enslave the human race.
2164  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Mark Karpelès a member of the Terrorist organization Illuminati? on: May 17, 2014, 03:08:27 AM
You have to be fucking kidding me.
Who actually thinks the Illuminati is powerful?

actor tom truong, and other kooks alike. he only makes posts and never communicates with anyone.. he seems almost unhuman. is it possible that he's a reptilian species of illuminati, going around throwing conspiracies about.. the illuminati?

Yes.

The next thing he's going to do is *gasp*... Make comments on YouTube videos about the Illuminati.

He's goning to attack BitcoinTalk next... With rumors of IlluminatiCoin. ------_------_------Coin!!!! Nobody will ever know.

actor tom truong has a lot of splaining to do. there is no evidence to prove that he is not an illuminati operative, sent to throw around accusations and conspiracy theories (in a kooky way) to inoculate the public's perception of his organization.

2165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will circle's new insurance model bring bitcoin mainstream? on: May 17, 2014, 03:06:45 AM
do they provide insurance for those who keep their coins in a cold storage wallet? some people might think it moot, but it does a good job of getting people to actually use cold storage.
2166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yet Another Brock Pierce Thread on: May 17, 2014, 03:05:21 AM
Personally, I couldn't give a rat's ass whether Pierce is a pedophile or not, as that isn't relevant to how he's going to run the Foundation. What, are there any children he'll start raping in the Foundation? I have the same sentiments as OP.

But at the same time, I wouldn't mind if he resigned from his postion, not because he's a pedo, but because the bitcoin foundation is not needed at all.

while i understand your position, boy thirsty perverts who hold young and impressionable males at gunpoint for sex is not okay - maybe it doesn't have much to do with his character in relation to being in the bitcoin foundation, but there's no place in society for those kinds of people.

he's also, btw, known for corruption and scamming venture capitalists.. and that is something i think is pertinent to his position.

this is one of the reasons why i don't like him. he campaigned on hope and change, and now he has become even worse against individual privacy.

His primary goal has always been to be the united states president. If he does not obey the rules imposed by the secret service and powerful corporations he loses his profession/career.   This 'change' is not in the interest of large corporations and neither is your privacy/freedom.

seems like every president is a puppet though.. for whoever the hell has the money and influence. i'd like to think that he is someone who wants the best for the country, but i'm starting to doubt that sentiment more and more.. especially with the way he's willing to invade our privacy.

2169  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: May 17, 2014, 12:59:44 AM
coinbase, since it's quicky, efficient, and easy. but i'm now interested in circle to see how well that new launch is going to turn out - they make it seem like they are looking to hunt down coinbase with their video presentation.
2170  Other / Meta / Re: Top posters [May 16 UPDATE] on: May 17, 2014, 12:57:37 AM
man, i thought i was hardcore.. but i can't possibly keep up with the playas in those graphs. still, 2500 posts since november makes myself quite the whore.
2171  Economy / Economics / Re: Asia's richest man invests in Bitcoin on: May 17, 2014, 12:56:00 AM
he's probably just investing a small amount, trying to diversify his assets.. it doesn't necessarily mean that he will use his weight to protect bitcoin's development, but maybe it is.
2172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL:Are women leaving Bitcoin due to the Bitcoin Foundation's seedy persona? on: May 17, 2014, 12:30:10 AM
the individual members do have a lot of sway though, as many of them have prominent roles in bitcoin's development. they are not just nobodies.
2173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who are the youngest bitcoin millionaires? on: May 17, 2014, 12:01:29 AM
There is no way anyone will verify who the youngest btc millionaire will be. Ask yourself, if you're young and that rich, why would you flaunt your wealth? Part of holding btc is the semi-anonymity.

well, if you're young, there are higher chances that you are dumb. it wouldn't be outrageous to see a young person go baller status.
2174  Other / Off-topic / Re: Favourite Game of Thrones character? on: May 16, 2014, 11:56:13 PM
Difficult choosing between Ser Bronn and Tyrion.  Both of them get some fantastic one-liners, but then they make a brilliant double act as well.

Also, no love for Hodor in the thread?  Sad

the hound has the best one liners in my opinion, and he's one of my favorites as well.. i hope he ends up being a good guy with a bad guy disposition.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brock Pierce implies Bitcoin Foundation resigned unintelligent. on: May 16, 2014, 11:53:27 PM
brock pierce: this news is 15 years old, kind of how i like my boys.
2176  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Silk Road marketplace lives on, despite intense government efforts on: May 16, 2014, 11:39:12 PM
I looked at the tor listings recently, and the drug markets appear to be flourishing.
There is a dozen now, SR2.0 is apparently the biggest, but there are 3-4 with a close
volume. What is more, several of them offer multisig escrow, so the market cannot steal
the funds.  That seems really cool.

I don't know whether any implements hedging against price fluctuations,
like SR did. Anyone knows?

Do they all use Bitcoin? I would think that there are better options than that now. Bitcoin is too "under the microscope" to be useful for drugs now.

what other cryptocurrency is actually being used these days though? almost all of them are purely speculation. i guess it could work if you start using it though.. what coin though, maybe doge?

Make a special altcoin for drugs and make the features support anonymity right out of the gate. Call it Amazope payments. lol

that might work, if there are any features that a site like SR could use. but then they'd have to get a marketplace to accept their currency, and since those coins won't be easy to purchase/access, it probably wouldn't work out so well. there are currently way, way more ways to get bitcoin now than say dogecoin.

this was just posted on reddit a minute ago. Get over there and upvote it before the Buffalo Bots catch wind!

made your account just based on their "J.A. buffalo" meme eh? i'm interested in what it actually means.. do you know what the context is?

yeah, funny enough as it is.. the silk road and the internet drug marketplace might actually do more good than harm. that toppled with legal marijuana sweeping across the nation.. maybe in 10 years the drug cartels will become weaker, but then again i bet silk road's goods come from the cartels anyways.
2180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I buy bitcoin same-day? on: May 16, 2014, 08:02:39 PM
localbitcoins can be quite a pain though, especially when people don't respond to your inquiries in time.
