yeah if i do anything with her, i think i'll have to let her know what's up beforehand. she seems to be the kind to get attached. 10 years ago, i would have banged her and never talked to her again.. i've done that a few times, and the co-dependent chicks made me feel guilty. i guess it's better to be older and wiser.
1882  Other / Off-topic / Re: HALP - relationship problems on: May 27, 2014, 09:29:48 PM
i need to find a way to get her to think i'm some pervert or some guy not worth being attached to, yet keep it friendly still. what to do?

there's another girl that i kinda had a thing with, and she wants to have a relationship. i found her only worth banging, as in we didn't connect the way i like. she's more independent.. so banging her would make more sense, but she knows the game already and doesn't want that kind of relationship. FML, my life is all about not getting laid  Embarrassed

so the daughter of a family friend got my number and started texting me. she is quite bangable, but i already know she's not really my type for a relationship.. i reiterate that i do find her quite bangable. she keeps on texting me, and i don't want to get involved since i know the main thing i want from her is the V... and she seems the lonely type who gets attached, so if i do hook up with her, i'm going to feel super guilty. my mind is telling me no but my body is telling me yes.. i feel like r kelly.

Whenever you get these thoughts, go and have a wank. You will feel much better for it, morally at the very least.

oh i do, and having a wank doesn't compare to the real thing. she keeps on texting me though, i guess i should ignore her but then part of me doesn't want to.
1884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used to sent money to family in Cambodia ? on: May 27, 2014, 09:09:19 PM
it could work.. i don't know how much integration is available in cambodia, but i do know that there are quite a few people in vietnam (ho chi minh city) who accept btc.

1886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-freindly countries ; Developed or developing? on: May 27, 2014, 08:52:56 PM
Bitcoin will continue to grow steady in the western world but i'm sure it will shoot up more rapidly in the third world. Its crazy how many people dont even have access to bank accounts there.

it's not just about bank accounts, but also remittance and the fact that there are quite a few 3rd world countries that suffer from hyperinflation due to corruption.

i think bitcoin would be most welcomed in a liberal european country, like portugal or sweden.. but then again, what do i know?
1887  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fidel Castro lived like a king in Cuba, book claims on: May 27, 2014, 08:47:45 PM
no one institution or group of people have complete ownership on corruption and greed... except for the human race. ancaps seem to think that "government" is the lowest common denominator, but it's actually just human nature.

Human nature is malleable.

yeah but so what? so he the role of government. either way, government and human nature are collectively fucked up.

What do you mean, "so what"?  Are you okay with the world is today?  Because obviously you think it's fucked up, and so do I.  So how do you fix it?  As I said, human nature is malleable, so if you seek a better world, you have to raise better humans.  Where does this primarily occur?  In parenting.  When parents raise their children peacefully and rationally, you get a generation of peaceful, rational children.  What do peaceful, rational children do?  They play nicely: they share, they don't hit, they don't lie, they respect each other's things.  Which system is a mirror of these values?  Anarchism and capitalism: statism necessitates a violation of property rights, and socialism (the "property is theft" sort) necessitates a violation of property rights, and people who will not put up with this support neither; because people today are raised constantly having their property violated, e.g. spanking, time-out, having things taken from them, on and on, these values are mirrored in the state: you have an entity which can punish, put in prison, and take things away such as taxes, and you have individuals who have to put up with it for the good of society.  It's a mirror; modern government is an extension of "human nature", as are all forms of social organization, including Anarcho-Capitalism.  So: who adheres to AnCap beliefs?  People who are going to raise their children peacefully and rationally, who will fix this world and shape a culture which doesn't accept where the world is going now.

I'm pointing out that your observations are shallow and your intentions are worthless, if you've yet to catch on.

well i didn't quite get the context, i thought you were making a point against what i originally said. i support better parenting and all that, but it's not really in my power to affect how people and parents teach their kids, especially if they are part of the group of people who are fucked up.

1892  Other / Off-topic / Re: I feel like bitcoin is a losing battle on: May 27, 2014, 07:43:28 PM
I don't really think I was in it for the "good rich scheme" at first, I thought it was genuinely interesting and hey, it's money that nobody can touch right? But when things started getting tougher monetary wise and I couldn't make ends meet and ended up with just the shirt on my back and a couple possessions facing foreclosure on my house I mean....

Anyways, yeah it's harsh and it's cruel but I just feel as if maybe newbies should be given more of a chance.

i don't know what to say really.. sometimes you just have to look at your shitty life and say "fuck it, it doesn't even matter.. there's no point in being bummed out by my misfortunes."

i think it's the most common bitcoin peril.. to enter the game for a get-rich scheme, only to find out you were too late. and then feeling down about it, and not owning the responsibility.
1895  Other / Off-topic / Re: I feel like bitcoin is a losing battle on: May 27, 2014, 07:42:34 AM
When I stumbled upon BTC in 2011, it was worth $14 or so bucks. Why didn't I just mine, or buy then? Why didn't I figure some way out then?

The year is now 2014, and I'm worn out on bitcoin. It almost feels like a joke. A bunch of people holding a ton of coins, while people like myself who are off and on about it, reaching up to grab for some, and it getting taken away by an older bigger bully.

I've had my share of heartache's in the past month, a grandmother who has 8 months to live (at best), my mother has breast cancer. My father has an auto immune disease that stripped him of his body mass/weight and has forced him to relearn how to walk, talk, and eat.

I just can't stand it. I got into bitcoin because I was excited about it, I felt it had promise, and now...

I can't.

I'm sorry guys, I'm just not in a good way right now.

seems like you lost some coins and are a bit upset/bitter about it. should have bought and hold, and hold however much you were comfortable with.

sorry to hear about what's going on in your life, but you are bummed out about bitcoin because it has lost you money.. and you weren't ballsy enough to hold onto your coins when the price started to go down. you have to own up to your responsibilities.. yeah, the market is rigged, but if you have a good head on your shoulders (you have control of this), then you'll still make out well.

i don't see anybody creating a new coin without premining a decent chunk.. after all, why, if you are starting at point 0 and all it can do is go up?
1897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency millionaire dream a thing of the past? on: May 26, 2014, 11:01:35 PM
obviously it's more difficult to become a millionaire by spending $1,000 on bitcoin, but it's still possible to make $1 million on a much bigger investment. so yeah, it's more difficult for those who are dirt poor, but people with some money can still do well.
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Darkcoin DRK will hit over $100 by Monday!!! on: May 26, 2014, 10:59:52 PM
thread fail lol

The talk is that there was a hard fork, but the price is tanking.   I haven't been following very closely, but at a glance, it looks like it has lost about 40% in the last 24 hours

this whole speculation subforum is a place for random uneducated people to make baseless predictions.. it's ridiculous. "bitcoin will be $1,000 soon.. just because."

All I know is GoT is soooo overated.

Prepare for incoming shitstorm.

Yes, this is true.  I think Game of Thrones is probably the most talked about series throughout this thread.   I like the series a lot, but I think this season has been pretty slow up until this point.

whaa? season has been slow? it's the most exhilarating season of the entire show.. we already had the whole joffrey incident, and there a few more big surprises to come before this season ends.

i don't think GoT is overrated though.. there has never been a show quite like it. the GoT universe is so lush with detail and backstory that it's just mindblowing to think that it's all fiction.
1900  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: May 26, 2014, 10:23:28 PM
Boardwalk Empire started off promising but I got a little bored of it now.

it's still one of my favorites, but the quality has dropped slightly.. i think it's mainly because they killed one of the most dynamic characters (jimmy). the only character left that people feel for also died this season.

it's still a great show, but they killed off two of the most likable characters. the only one left that i like is van alden.

My biggest gripe with the show is that Nucky is basically invincible, because he is the protagonist. You just know he is not going to die until the last season and the last episode, which kind of makes all the drama and danger prior to that lose meaning.

i think that's what makes a show like GoT so great.. no one has impunity, and anyone at any moment can die. i do give boardwalk empire for killing off 2 of their most liked characters though.

the funny thing to me is that they won't kill nucky, even though he hasn't even been the 3rd most liked character on the show.
