How about a "grammar police" in the new forum software? With a preview button to see the before and after such an 'officer' intervened, with the changes being highlighted(this way we can know for sure the message wasn't manipulated in any way). The post would of course have a 'grammar flag' that will bring shame to the poster(maybe making some of them double check their post before hitting "Post").

My mind wanders at times, sorry Smiley.

i think the word "police" does not mesh well with the audience on this forum.. it reminds them of government authority after all.
2002  Other / Meta / Re: Want to meet admin on: May 23, 2014, 10:19:01 PM
seriously, people who exhibit this kind of ignorance should be shat on, just to prove that you know.. if you're going to play the game of bitcoins, you have to know your shit. you can't just go around doing stupid shit thinking that you will get away with it.

i don't know if i dislike low level scammers like OP more, or the smarter ones who are actually smart.
2003  Other / Meta / Re: I did not know. on: May 23, 2014, 10:16:26 PM
a newb asking for a loan and since bitcoin transactions are irreversible, you would be able to just run away with it.. seriously, if some new guy who has no reputation propositioned you for that shit.. what would you think? i know what i would: this guy is 99% a scammer. worst of all, he's a low level scammer.. which means he's tone-deaf.
2004  Other / Meta / Re: Quality of English on: May 23, 2014, 09:12:18 PM
i'm okay with it, especially if they are using this board to polish their skills. i admit it is hard trying to read through their messages though.
2005  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Could bitcoin be permanently eliminated ? on: May 23, 2014, 09:09:06 PM
i know the chances are extremely extremely extremely unlikely, but there's still a chance that someone could create a wallet and stumble upon the stashed BTC.. so it's near impossible, but not fully impossible.

also, bitcoin wouldn't be eliminated.. if someone lost half of the supply, the price would probably go way up.
2006  Other / Meta / Re: How to remove negative trust rating? on: May 23, 2014, 09:06:24 PM
i am selling my account

offer price

0.01 to 0.1

Dude, seriously?  Roll Eyes  1) Nobody is going to buy an account that has neg trust, and 2) Offering to sell your account is likely to get you even more negative feedback. Just create a new one and start with a clean slate.

yeah it'd be hard to trust someone willing to sell their account when they have neg ratings.. but if someone wanted to do a sig ad, buying the account could be helpful.

How? Pretty much all deals disallow users with negative feedback from partaking in them.

you're right, i never knew that disqualified you. btw, stunna himself has some negative feedback, but he's obviously not a scammer.. he probably just didn't pay spammers and they got upset. so i don't know how fair it is to exclude anyone with just 1 neg rating.
2007  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mark Cuban (Dallas Mavericks owner)Steps In It With Racial Comments on: May 23, 2014, 08:05:59 PM
yeah i think people are generally too extreme. either you are hypersensitive to the race issue, or you're just a hardcore racist. words are just words.. when it comes into action and someone is disenfranchised, then that's true racism.

I will sell most of my bitcoins before your stated scenario happens. I am not a die hard fan, do not flame me for it  Cheesy

I see bitcoin as a payment system, like my credit card. If the credit card company is closing down. What will you do with the cashback money on the card? Spend it surely.

i see it as the same. people who think btc will replace currency are just crazy. as of now, i see bitcoin, at least for me, as a lottery ticket. if i win, i win big.. if i lose, then i just lose.

2011  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: May 23, 2014, 07:52:41 PM
I recommend watching revolution.

Its a good watch, with how the world can be without energy.

you mean electricity.. i watch it, but it's one of my guilty pleasures. it's not a good show. very trite and all the characters are shallow. also, the "nanotech" shit is just a cop out and there's no scientific reasoning behind it.
Also 'Revolution' Cancelled By NBC. I watched the first two episodes and then dropped it. I felt boring while watching it.

yeah i think there needs to be an HBO-styled dystopain themed tv show.. real characters that are not shallow. i would love the shit out of that. real human cruelty contrasted by human kindness, and blurred lines between who's good and who's bad.
2012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just paid the $100K USD via BTC to become a Platinum Member of TBF. on: May 23, 2014, 06:08:01 AM
wow, that's insane.. you must be loaded PG. you think they might just keep your money? i mean, they are known for being dysfunctional and corrupt.

2014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin sells GAS to china on: May 23, 2014, 03:24:10 AM
on a related note, does anything think that when russia was "cracking" down on gay people.. it was meant to "unify" the country, to basically check how much fervor there is within russian society? that would be a good way of preparing for war, as the nazis did it. just find someone to hate/point your finger to, and then everybody who is not part of that group will become untied in disenfranchising those people.

Ummno.

1, they didn't "crack" down on gay people. They banned HBTQ propaganda for minors.

2, they are not preparing their citizens for war. They don't have to, Russian people are far more educated about the world then westerners.

3, USA/EU and YOU are preparing for war by demonizing russians as homphobic, anti-democratic etc.

maybe you can explain this to me then http://www.advocate.com/world/2014/05/01/russias-gay-propaganda-law-takes-effect-crimea

that and how people in russia are being incited to physically assault gay people marching in public.

How did gas and oil turn into gay argument?

well, it's kinda pertinent in that it's about russian society.

Oh, c'mon, we see this gay-people-cracking-down stuff again and again... Grin Nobody cracking down on them, it's a total BS. Nobody cares about gays here, some pop stars and politicials are open homosexuals, they're still alive and active.

This "gay people prosecutions" bullshit is not even funny anymore. It's so far from the reality that I'm unable to imagine how anybody can believe that. This would be like a belief into spaghetti monster or martian invasion, the same level of stupidity.

Sexual orientation is nobody's business, it's a private matter. If some person thinks too much about someone's orientation, then he needs to visit a doctor, without any delay. This is the most popular point of view on this issue.

you're from russia? russians generally, and i'm not implying that everyone is (but it's a trend), harbor a lot of hatred.. it's the nihilistic russian way. how can you explain these russian anti-gay laws? why do you think it's happening now (recently) all of a sudden? sometimes, in order to catalyze people, you need to find a central figure for them to hate on. here is an excerpt from the article linked above

It has also triggered a spike in homophobic violence, the subject of worldwide protests today in support of Russia's LGBT community, and a Dispatches documentary on Channel 4.

Are you mentally handicapped or are you actually being paid by US State Department?

Quote
sometimes, in order to catalyze people, you need to find a central figure for them to hate on. here is an excerpt from the article linked above

Russians don't need to find unity threw hatred against minorities. They are United. Putin today has more backing than ever. Obama, and the west, however.. ehe. THEY are the ones who are putting Russians as the Central figure for hatred. They are building Public opinion against Russia. Theese are all very easy-to spot facts. Westerners are told to hate Russia, Iran and now even China and most likely you're all beginning to be fed With the facts of how horrible Saudi Arabia really is(They have apparently, as it seems now, chosen to no longer suck the ass of US).

nice rebuttal. using no logic, you just straight out call me "mentally handicapped." let me reciprocate: what are you, a kremlin? also, it's "than" and not "then." before you insult someone, make sure you don't appear ignorant.. mmkay?

read the article. putin's approval rating shot up, and it improved russia's morale. if you want to make a major move, you know, like take over crimea.. then you're going to want to boost morale up as much possible.
2015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevoss twins: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook #bitcoin #facebook on: May 23, 2014, 03:16:10 AM
I guess they're still bitter about Mark Zuckerberg stealing the idea for Facebook from them  Cheesy

Why be bitter? They won a lawsuit worth 65 million...This Bitcoin Venture may be just what they need to carve their own path...Sometimes we have to stay in our own lane...let Mark Zuckerberg do what he do! Cool

well, it's not just the $65, it's also the credit that they want.. and $65 million is not much considering what facebook is currently worth ($67.4 billion). that's less than .1% the value of facebook. if they had a 20% stake and kept their shares, they'd easily be billionaires by now.
2016  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 23, 2014, 03:14:28 AM
hasn't china's actions been muted by now? they have cried wolf way too many times. i'm guessing the price reflects china's on/off stance with bitcoin, and the only way it can move the price by now is by making positive news for bitcoin. i guess they could release good news, and then grim again just to mess with the price.
2017  Other / Meta / Re: Mods: Remove my negative trading score given by vod on: May 23, 2014, 03:09:08 AM
i'm tempted to add a negative trust to you, but "being annoyingly" is not sufficient grounds for that.

let us evaluate your intelligence here:

- you make a new account with no reputation, and ask for a $4,000 loan.
- then you ask to get your rating removed (in the wrong subforum), by demanding that a mod "fix the issue."
- now you are spamming your shit.

good luck with not getting banned.
2018  Other / Meta / Re: Mods: Remove my negative trading score given by vod on: May 23, 2014, 03:06:47 AM
this should be in meta and not off-topic. and saying "i'm innocent" does not make you innocent. you are only 14 activity points in, just make another account.
2019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 23, 2014, 01:26:53 AM
i guess i'm in the minority in that i find apple's o/s to be counter-intuitive. it slows me down using it. on the other hand, i still fucking hate windows 8 on my laptop.. so damn annoying how the metro screen accidentally pops up, and how i have to resort to a third party software to have a start button.

Why do you need a start button? I hated 8 in the beginning but would never go back now. Instead of using mouse to find programs/functions in start menu, you just hit windows button, type first 2 or 3 letters of program and hit enter....and program starts. Plus search is way quicker than any other windows/mac/linux ever.

People just seem to hate change. I code using ubuntu cause for c/c++ its just better, but it suxs as an operating system. And lets face it, if you are worried about the NSA, use TAILS or give up.

because i prefer clicking on a logo instead of typing something in. sometimes you don't even remember the name of the application you're looking for.

if people hated change, then they wouldn't have accepted windows 7 with open arms.. as they did.

don't forget mail-order brides, vodka and prostitutes  Smiley

Russian prostitutes in USA?
How much?

have no idea, but i'm pretty sure they import their women over here. probably not as much as the south koreans/chinese though. do you want me to be your hooker broker? i charge a 5% flat fee. i can't promise she won't bite your dick off though; russian women are feisty. if you like her enough, you can also buy her.
