the quick answer for most of us guys is: masturbate. and then you feel shitty about it, so when you start to panic.. and then you do it again.

What kind of person feels crappy about jerking it?!

Keep in mind it's like a game, too. It's more fun when you play with a friend!

if you're jerking it off, say 5 times a day, that might be a bit much. jerking it makes you lose your edge, or your energy (as some boxers feel). but yeah, doing it 5 times a day is too much, and when you feel like you can't control yourself, you just feel like shit.

Do people seriously get to the point where they can't help but keep pounding away? I haven't heard of this. And your name is so ironic for this conversation. Just beet it!

there's every kind of mental disorder really. and yes, there are definitely people like this.. and it's mostly guys. it's called sex addiction, and it's probably more common than we thinks - it's just that, you know, if you have a sex addiction, you don't really talk about it that much.

but yeah, i've met a handful of people who have dedicated their lives to seeking out sex.. and it's probably a miserable existence, because you are digging through an endless well.

I think it is not miserable at all, I think they will be happy doing it.

on reddit, look for the subreddit nofap (http://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/).. there are lots of people who find value in abstaining from fapping. maybe you enjoy it, i'm not saying that you don't.. but others, not necessarily so.

i like a few widgets that help me access my phone quick.

wifi widget - turns off wifi without having to slide anything down.
tesla LED - turn on your flashlight, without having to slide or open an app.
data switch - same thing, but for data.

Which one do you guys feel more safe in keeping your coins?  At a trading website (ex, Mintapl, Bitstamp, etc) or the personal wallets ?

I'm not sure about that ? Huh

look up cold storage wallets. there should be a tutorial stickied here since so many people ask. it's much, much safer than keeping it on a server.

it amazes me how people who are considered at the top of their profession.. can be so resistant to new changing ideas. it's like they grasp onto their old ideas for death. if we look throughout history, it's the new thinkers who create the next step in human evolution.. so why are these "conventional wisdom" guys so hellbent on sticking to their philosophy? it's like they don't know that everything in the world is changing constantly.

i don't really know it bitcoin will be revolutionary, but at this point i'd say you definitely can't count it out.

These people are all old school money from the old school brotherhood. Their entire lives are deeply entrenched in fiat...it's all they know. They've also set themselves so high in their untouchable ivory towers that they genuinely believe they own the world. So anything new and helpful for anyone else but themselves, they'll dismiss.

I think the way to get bitcoin as the official US currency is to head up a massive national bitcoin marketing campaign showing politicians how easy it is to take bribes and secure their wealth without the IRS knowing shit about it or taxing it...and even to hire hit men to off their competition! AND it will pretty much end bank robberies (the old fashioned kind anyway).

They'll turn off the printing presses in 24hrs and make it a mandatory currency  Grin

honestly, i know our currency system is fucked up and bound to failure.. but i'm not even aiming for us to replace fiat with bitcoin. it's likely not going to happen, as fiat paper has an important psychological factor in it that bitcoin can't beat. i'd just like to see bitcoin improve on the remittance and hyperinflationary issues of the world.

if bitcoin took over currency as the main means of trade, it would mean that everybody would know how to use it.. even old people who are luddites.

I'm new here. So how does this work? How many post should I do per week for me to advance to a new rank? Cheesy

Read this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=495948.0

You can only get a max of 14 activity points every two week period, so 14 posts. Next one starts next tuesday. For Membergroups see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

damnit, i'm really jelly that you will be hitting 240 in a few weeks. by then i'll only be around 200.

I'm new here. So how does this work? How many post should I do per week for me to advance to a new rank? Cheesy

all you really need to know is.. to post occasionally. minimum you'd need to do is 1 per day really.
2088  Other / Off-topic / Re: We want (I want) PEACE !!! on: May 19, 2014, 11:22:50 PM
peace is great and most of us want it.. but the truth is that you don't make money and gain power through peace, you do it with war. want natural resources? raise some false flags and invade a country. you can buy guns from your friends who make them.. every body wins, except the commonfolk.

2090  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: May 19, 2014, 11:12:40 PM
this is a good thread to have stickied.. good resource, especially for noobs. though stunna's rates are no longer the top-end, i've had good experiences with him.. so for now, i'm a little reluctant to seek the better paying ad sponsors.
2091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All things considered Brock Pierce, et al.! [w/POLL] on: May 19, 2014, 11:03:15 PM
based on our small sample size, more people think the bitcoin foundation is useful than our politicians.. that's got to count for something, right? or maybe i'm setting the bar too low.
2092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Winklevoss twins: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook on: May 19, 2014, 10:58:07 PM
Why would I listen to bullish statements by someone who owned a million bitcoins?

As much as I would like to assume what they are saying is true, how can we trust what they say? Exactly. If I held as much as them, I'd pump and dump bitcoins too! Tongue

i don't trust the winklevi bros either, but it's a question or the chicken or the egg.. do they own bitcoin because they truly think it will become huge, or are they saying it because they are hoping they can pump the value of bitcoin (since they already own so many).

Though they invested in Bitcoin at the right time, they do not strike me as too bright.

how so? they were involved in facebook's inception, and bought BTC at the right now. now they are planning to open an ETF. they also went to one of the best schools in the country.

Yeah but every time i see their faces i kind of want to punch them. That's got to count for something.

i kind of get that feeling too, they do look kind of douchey. but i don't know much about them, and i kind of want to reserve judgment.. if they act like douchebags, then call them douchebags. if they don't, then don't base how you feel about someone entirely on how they look.

I just noticed you have lots of threads with shitloads of things about conspiracies and such....Can you explain Exactly what triggered your online "Campaign" against such Conspirators?

can't you tell.. he's either a psycho or a troll. he has his own website where he is a self-proclaimed son of god in the 21st century.

2096  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Just identified myself as an Anarchist to a local MP ( UK ) on: May 19, 2014, 09:11:23 PM
I can't wait until the Millennial generation actually gets their own political party. This outdated liberal/conservative system does not serve us and doesn't represent our views very effectively - it is a relic of the past mired in corruption and inefficiency. This is evident by how most of the voters nowadays are older generations. Hopefully groups like the Pirate party in Europe start spreading, these guys are much more inline with our generation's culture and beliefs. That is not to say that there aren't older people who also disagree with the current political systems - but it is mostly the younger people.

there is so much money entrenched in the 2 party political system, that i don't foresee any changes within the near future. there's just no way you could win a considerable amount of seats without the money, and the money goes to 2 parties only. to make matters worse, the middle class (which is what this party would represent) is seeing shrinking income.. which means less "free speech."

by the way, if i were an anarchist, i wouldn't go around announcing it to everyone.. unless i wanted the NSA to spy on me.
2097  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much cash do you carry? on: May 19, 2014, 09:08:48 PM
i don't carry that much cash around, but that's just because i want to encourage myself to be more frugal with money.
2098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on a new decentralized bitcoin foundation on: May 19, 2014, 09:05:27 PM
a new foundation would require the hard hitting people in the industry to join, otherwise it wouldn't have much prestige. but much like others, i don't even see the point in its existence. all it does is give you a bigger profile, which is not necessarily to help bitcoin's development.. but maybe only your own.

people want the power grab from a cryptocurrency that doesn't want centralization.
2099  Other / Meta / Re: Top posters [May 16 UPDATE] on: May 19, 2014, 09:03:15 PM
A list of 20 users with over 182,462 post and i know that 1 of these 20 users PG were banned for "Spam" how many others were banned for the same offense?  I'm almost 100% positive with over 182k posts not all were of valued content or added to the discussion. I'm guessing at least 10-20% of these posts were "Spam" related in nature.

P.S. 20 people have a WHOLE lot of nothing else to do beside post.

PG was banned for excessive posting (I think) It's kind of hard to understand what motivates guys like him to post that much. He doesn't get paid to post, nor he promotes a cause or a profitable enterprise. It's easier to get why some of those top posters are signature campaign participants. They have a decent earning from that and you could even say that posting is sorta like a part-time job for some.

i think he was banned for excessive use of a racial epithet. he kept saying "not all black people are (you know what), but my neices boyfriend is a (you know what).

people have also accused him of talking down a company, getting paid for his silence, and then going silent.
I disagree, Surprisingly he was never banned for that Racist thread. He was banned for some Ramblings on the AMT thread. I will NEVER achieve 20K posts although, i'm almost 1/10th the way there now.
I Mentioned the fact PG should add a sig campaign and Donate the money to a good cause. He flat out said No.
The number of 182k posts for a handful of people still boggles the mind.

i wasn't around when he was banned, so i don't know for sure. 182k posts between 20 different people isn't that incomprehensible.. post inequality is real!
2100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Total number of bitcoins will DECREASE on: May 19, 2014, 09:01:36 PM
Even if 1% of coins were lost each year, so what?  I don't see that being a problem since bitcoins are divisible.

he didn't imply that it would be a problem. i think his point was that bitcoin is inherently deflationary... as in, over time, bitcoin will be worth more since the supply is diminishing.
