Viacom18 is increasingly becoming a challenger to ESPN-SONY and Star in India for Sports broadcast rights. After winning the TV rights for FIFA World Cup 2022, now they have won the TV rights for 2024 Paris Olympics and 2024 Youth Olympics as well. ZEE has won the rights for ICC tournaments for the 2024-27 period. In short cricket will become more expensive for Indian viewers, as they need to subscribe to multiple TV channels and OTT platforms. I don't know whether this is a good thing or not, but Viacom18 OTT platform (JioCinema) has made most of the matches free to watch so far.

If he has given a structure and schedule that means there is something behind Pakistan organising Asia Cup.  Alright it is confirmed that Pakistan is host for Asia Cup but still things can change specially when it's India and ICC.

Asia Cup 2023 is likely to start in Pakistan as per the schedule. As per ICC announcement, 2023 Asia Cup will be hosted in Pakistan. The upcoming Asia Cup 2023 will likely end with 12 ODIs and 1 final match in September. There are various rumors about this Asia Cup but they . are meaning less. The decision taken by the ICC is final. If there is any change, it must be determined by the ICC. If Pakistan is able to fulfill the conditions of ICC then Asia Cup 2023 will be held in Pakistan.

I do not think Jay Shah actually has any problem with the tournament being hosted in Pakistan. He is just trying to create an issue so that people concentrate on that issue a lot more. And people do not have any idea what is actually going on. Obviously ICC will be held accountable if they change the venue  for the Asia cup at this moment. Jay Shah might be acting unfairly but PCB & Co need to be a bit professional and not act like a rookie.

All members were sent emails, details etc back in DEC  and everyone responded except PCB.

This is the thing with India Pakistan too much tension,  stress and chaos and they don't usually settle on one ground.  This Asia Cup thing is still a question as the probability of Indian team coming to Pakistan is very rare , last time Indian team came to Pakistan in 2005-2006. Pakistan knows that India is never going to help them in any case. Pakistan also knows that India is almost always going to oppose any idea that they have. And knowing that Pakistan cannot just kiss the ass of the Indian cricket board. Pakistan also does have rights. And they are well within their rights to say that the Asia cup tournament is not going to be having any changes in the hosting nation.

The thing is India is all going to win in the battle of cricket between India versus Pakistan. Because India already has a very big market and popularity in cricket. India is the team that is generating the most amount of revenue for the ICC as well. The truth is these two teams are not going to work alongside each other. At least not in the recent future.
