I actually really feel bad that two teams, UAE, and USA, both of which are made up of foreign players, are going to be qualified. I really wanted to see teams that are made out of native players being qualified. But that did not happen. And of course, it is always going to be hard to happen.

After all, they are playing in the team as foreign players for a reason. This really should change very fast. Otherwise, cricket is not going to be alive amongst the associate nations, which are actually trying to find talent and not buy them.

We have six teams in this qualifying round with three having native players and three are with adopted players which are having good advantage, but sadly ICC is not interested in any solid policy about this all because of their inner politics so just because of this many countries are suffering like Namibia, PNG and Nepal and few countries are taking good results just because of their adoption policy which is helping them even in long run it's never been positive thing I was expecting USA and Canada to qualify from here, but sadly Canada lost against Namibia and this was big below for them which bring them down in table and UAE take good advantage of this and having spot in qualifying round which is now going to play before World Cup 2023 in India.

This is true, but this is common in cricket. Not the low order teams, almost every team have got foreign players. Asian players were found much on other nations, because it is quite hard for them to get opportunity in their home countries. Another thing these players doesn't move to another country with the plan of playing for the immigrant country. Everyone have moved for their life and career progress, by the time opportunities were well utilised. So, this shouldn't be considered a big issue that the team with native players weren't able to qualify.

ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off 2023 has been concluded with USA and UAE finishing at the top. You pointed it right teams like UAE has zero native player rather all are invited from South Asia. Since UAE is a rich country they won't have any problem in paying expats but this is creating negative impact on teams like Nepal. Recently Nepal took over UAE by finish 3rd in WORLD CUP LEAGUE 2, which is an indication that there team is getting experience and gaining momentum with time.

But now the national team is mostly South Asian and as a result native children are rapidly losing their interest in the sport. In the long term, inclusion of foreign players do more harm than good.

There is no point in this if you have native players who play cricket and you can make a team with them  than why adding non native players in your national team .
If Namibia have good players with them their cricket boards should just train and polish them to make a good team  .
USA and UAE don't have native players that play cricket that's why they made a team by using Asian players.

I agree because if we have situation like this surely it's going to be worst for the game and many other bad things can create more problems here even right now ICC is having nothing to do with this all and teams like the USA, UAE, Netherlands and Denmark enjoying things with South Asian players, but we can hope we will have drastically changes in near future and ICC surely will bring solid policy about this all which is encouraged teams with native players take good advantage, and we will have no team with 100% adopted players as it's all against the spirit of the game.

Nepal and Namibia having good future in this game, and we can expect better results from Kenya and Zimbabwe as well, even it's not easy, but changes can happen any time in any team with better management and improved domestic setup.

I actually think every team should get rid of foreign players. Because there is no point playing with foreign players on the team. After all, that is not going to increase the popularity/value/skill set of the team. So there is actually no reason for 14 players to be playing in the national team.

Here too u expected results could come. Anyhow it is very important for Sri Lanka and West Indies to play very carefully. Losing and getting not qualified will surely be a big discussion and it takes time for the leading nations to get adopted to such losses. Yes it is true that Aleem Dar has announced his retirement from Test matches only but if Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to re-nominate Aleem then he can referee international matches again like before. According to reports, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has re-nominated Aleem Dar and he will be able to referee international matches as usual. Aleem Dar will referee the 2024 and 2025 Men's World Cups along with the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup.
But the exact reason why Aleem Dar resigned from the ICC Elite Panel is not known here but we will see him refereeing international matches again soon.

I was not aware of this statistic that I know through your information. If only 13 percent of a country's total population is settled, it is not impossible to find the existence of those migrants in every sector. It is not unusual to have foreign players in the UAE team. However, this picture is not limited to the United Arab Emirates. In today's USA team, foreign players dominate the team. But even though there are more natives, those players are not being given the opportunities.

Even I agreed about these all statics but still I have to explain one thing mostly players those are coming in these teams are not from grassroots which is the biggest issue mostly these are coming from their countries for jobs and other stuff and now representing these countries without their citizenship level which is main issue if they have players from their system then surely no one talk about this all because all understand how life is going here in these Gulf countries, but sadly they are not following criteria they are just hiring players which are fail to have any chance in their native country and enjoying here.

With there is no doubt about this all Gulf is second home for the Indians as they have strong base here and long term connections but still here these Arabs are not allowing mostly peoples their citizenship because they are still trying to increase domestic population or having peoples those are doing best in few departments like education, health and computer management.

With there is no doubt about this all Gulf is second home for the Indians as they have strong base here and long term connections but still here these Arabs are not allowing mostly peoples their citizenship because they are still trying to increase domestic population or having peoples those are doing best in few departments like education, health and computer management.

Migrant workers in the United Arab Emirates and Oman are mostly the temporary ones. They work in these Emirates for a couple of years and then return to India or Pakistan. Now creating national cricket teams out of these players doesn't make any sense because the loyalties lie with their native countries and not with UAE or Oman. A few weeks ago, there was a match between Nepal and UAE being staged in Dubai. Despite the match being hosted by UAE, there was not a single fan in the stadium who supported that team. On the other hand, Nepal was being supported by thousands of fans.
