OMG. So this is how their server looks up inside?. No sandboxing and poor security. How did you get access to this?. Did you make it up?

If it's a fake it's a fairly good one. The dates add up etc. Still not sure what exactly is it supposed show. That they ran Lucky7 wallet as root?

Just signed in to their support site again to see what's going on with my ticket about locking my account. The last time I checked it had been a week without any answer after I accused them of being dishonest and stealing my coins. Now it seems they've just closed the ticket without explanation with "Cryptsy is currently in maintenance while we make some back end changes." ...and so on, as an answer.

I invested previously in this coin and I'm very disappointed that developer just gave it up. Currently it can't even synchronize, because bitcoin-like clients are banned on undernet and rizon. So... I have to bring it up to life! Smiley I've corrected irc network and patched up openssl heartbleed vulnerability dependencies. That's most important things to do for a start. But there will be more!

Development plan:
- compiled windows wallet (80% done)
- p2pool support
- multipool (60% done - it was my primary project)
- website (10% done - bought really nice template)
- blockchain explorer
- refreshed logo
- more exchanges (Cryptsy is cool, but we need few more)

GitHub Source:
Virus - do not download or compile! --grue

https://github.com/alerj78/luckvirusy7coin

How to compile:
cd src
make -j 8 -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- USE_IPv6=1
strip lucky7coin

I like you taking care about LK7. I like old coins, dying..., so I am buying them and holding price at least at some level. I have bought almost 10% of all LK7 last days. I LK7 drops bellow 40 satoshi, I will buy more. right now I have bought enough LK7 from weak hands to stop sell pressure. Please do your job, create syncing windows wallet, I will than do the mine and push price up.

<snip>

I agree 100%, buying broad spectrum of cheapest coins on Cryptsy is the best way how to earn big profits on next uptrend. I already own 80-100 different coins. If cryptsy bancrupt, than it doesn't matter if you own ZET or shit coin, it will drop value heavily. Since Cryptsy does not delist coins, you can earn much more on cheapest coins. Investing $100/ per coin into 50 cheapest coins is much better for big gains than investing them into expensive Cryptsy only coins.  For me, I divide Crypto in 4 categories. 1) BTC  2) LTC 3) PPC, NMC, NVC  4) Others traded on cryptsy.  I hold 1,2, and the cheapest of 4. There is no reason to buy coins with  big market cap traded only or mostly on Cryptsy. Such coins pump rarely, and if so, than the risk of dumping is pretty high. Cheapest coins don't lose value on dumps. And all of them have pretty similar risk of losing value by Cryptsy bankruptcy or hack.  In fact, if there will be hack, hacker will steal expensive coinsSmiley

The amazing Seer, socoban, joined the scene when Cryptsy started getting very active, then left us just prior to the filing of Paul Vernon's divorce. In the interim he jacked off all over Lucky7Coin, then later all over his 80-100 alts, then prophesied about hackers, soon thereafter to never return to express his loses at Cryptsy.

Welcome to the Grand illusion
Come on in and see what's happening
Pay the price, get your tickets for the show
The stage is set, the band starts playing
Suddenly your heart is pounding
Wishing secretly you were a star.

I found the following at: http://silverlaw.com/media/news-releases/silver-law-group-files-class-action-lawsuit-cryptsy-principal-paul-big-vern-vernon/

Silver Law Group Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Cryptsy and its Principal, Paul (“Big Vern”) Vernon

Boca Raton, Florida – January 14, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Silver Law Group (www.silverlaw.com), along with the law firm of Wites & Kapetan, P.A., has filed a nationwide class action lawsuit in federal court against Florida-based cryptocurrency exchange operator Cryptsy and its principal, Paul (“Big Vern”) Vernon.

According to the lawsuit, numerous Cryptsy account holders have been denied access to their accounts over the past several months and have been deprived of any ability to properly protect their assets amidst widespread reports of problems at the heart of Cryptsy’s business. While reports have been swirling in multiple media outlets that Cryptsy’s future is greatly troubled and that the company might be under heavy regulatory scrutiny, many Cryptsy account holders allege they have been unable to withdraw any and all forms of currency from their accounts.  The lawsuit asserts that despite repeated inquiries to Cryptsy, users are being left without any meaningful response or information from Cryptsy and have had their withdrawal demands either denied or tabbed as “pending” for days, weeks, or even months.  Although the exact amount remains undetermined, the lawsuit estimates that the value of the digital funds being held captive at Cryptsy exceeds Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00).

The class action lawsuit is pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida under Case No. 9:16-cv-80060. As stated in the lawsuit, the class of victims pursuing relief includes “All Cryptsy account owners who deposited Bitcoins, alternative cryptocurrencies, or any other form of monies or currency at Cryptsy and have been denied access to their accounts and funds between November 1, 2015 and the present date.”  The lawsuit asserts claims for negligence, unjust enrichment, conversion of funds and property, and violations of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

If you have entrusted your cryptocurrency to Cryptsy or have traded through its web site and feel you have been misled, you might have the grounds upon which to assert a claim to recover your losses. Silver Law Group is a nationally-recognized securities law firm headquartered in South Florida, with satellite offices in New York and Washington, DC, representing investors worldwide with their claims for losses due to financial misconduct and investment firm negligence in securities litigation and arbitration matters. I dont expect we will see any of our coins back now that it is in receivership.
If i read correctly the attorney fees are $400 per hour, no cryptsy assets left, only our coins.

How will these lawyers keep the remaining coins safe from being hacked?

So many new questions.

Vernon hired lawyer after receivership, not before - that means he knew there are no coins or money left on Cryptsy, but he needs a lawyer to save his skin from criminal charges.

How he will pay $400/hour lawyer when he claimed during divorce that he has no income at all and when he gave all his properties and money on US accounts to his now former wife?

That man without anything obliged to pay by divorce agreement:

- $20.000 for real estate tax on big house

- $15.000 fee for his wife lawyer Brinkley Morgan

- obliged to continue paying his $1.000.000 life insurance and $2.500 monthly for child support

Plus how he will explain 75 BTC received directly in cold wallet(and stayed there until theft) from one of seized Silkroad BTC accounts during time when Shaun Bridges controlled them?

There is no lawyer on Earth who will save him from criminal charges.  Angry

Nah. That's the problem with this whole mess. Someone has to step up and make the call. Otherwise, this will drag on for years and nobody will get anything. So, I put a lot of thought into this and I feel that the best course of action for the injured parties of Cryptsy is to agree to absorb the loss for the stolen coins and the deposits, if he gives the casinocoins back. At least this way, we get the casinocoins back, there is no need for bankruptcy proceedings, and cryptsy can get back up and running with the coins they have on deposit currently (other than casinocoin because those will be distributed back to their owners). Maybe in time, cryptsy can start paying people back with it's future revenue.

I don't see a need to take a vote or anything. This plan will work. Paul, what do you think?

sounds like you gambled your "casinocoins" away ... looks like cryptsy was one big casino after all.  Shocked

I have just over 3m CSC in my private wallet. I personally only lost 4 (or maybe it was 7 - I can't remember) sprouts to Cryptsy. THis was a disheartening blow to lose those 4 Sprouts especially after the horrific $0.04 loss I had when mtgox folded. Best we can tell, Cryptsy has maybe 3m CSC that belongs to various community members and we did not see any large transactions around the time of the theft. So we believe they have the coins.

cryptsy holding all the casinocoins is going to be a huge blow for the community when 1 CSC = 1 usd. They have the potential to mess it all up. either way they are going to be rich out of it. Just by keeping our coins.

Let me get this straight. I checked casinocoin today, and it's worth like .022 cents with a volume of $340. USD.

HTF is it going to $1.00 USD?

I want some of the shit you're smoking.

It's a very real thing. Very shortly 7 Casinos will start accepting CSC at a minimum of $1/coin. An additional 10 have agreed to accept the coin in Europe following the launch in the Bahamas. Go read the CSC thread and look for posts from Gamingcoins.

Won't happen. They are gone. Now that Cryptsy is in receivership, it's only a matter of time until those assets are liquidated into USD and held in escrow until the court determines what will get distributed to creditors. Maybe in a few years, you may get 1 - 5% of what they were worth.

If they pay out winnings in the same coin only, it doesn't matter what minimum they accept it at. Even if $100/coin.

Exactly... else goldseal might be banking on the fact he can deposit 3 million casino coins there and then withdraw 3m usd? Magic internet money thin air. No smart casino would do this. Im going to guess they are online casino dice sites. They can value casino coin at $1 all they want but they will do that for the amount put into the online slots etc.. when you go to withdraw it will divide the $1 up and return you casino coins. a csc is still a csc... without usd withdrawal there is no point in valuing it.

Josh Garza valued paycoin at a $20 floor.. we all know how that turned out lol.

I found firm evidences how P.Vernon financed Bitebi9 exchange by money from Cryptsy users.

Bitebi9 was founded 28th.July.2015 and start capital was 300.000 CNY(picture below) ~ $46.000 ~ 184 BTC at that time. Money came from Cryptsy old hot wallet(founded before theft) which was used only for paying Cryptsy expenses and refunding new hot wallet from time to time - users did not receive BTC directly from it at all.

From Cryptsy old hot wallet money went to address 17UFQvsFyq7z2tUHHWhAkGsLTYEaCZZp4S at BTCC China exchange, where BTC were changed to CNY.

For period July 2015 - January 2016,  543.5 BTC came from old hot Cryptsy wallet to this address on BTCC.In 2 such transactions 150 BTC and 200 BTC were transfered directly to BTCC - that is far over 100 BTC limit per transaction for users,so there is no doubt that is not user ,but P.Vernon.

Another indication that it is P.Vernon account is that this address received directly from Cryptsy old hot wallet 16 BTC on 10.January.2016,just few days before closure and in time when receiving just 0.01 BTC was impossible.

https://www.walletexplorer.com/address/17UFQvsFyq7z2tUHHWhAkGsLTYEaCZZp4S

What is also interesting that this address 17UFQvsFyq7z2tUHHWhAkGsLTYEaCZZp4S received 56 BTC from Bittrex and 100 from BTC-e,two exchanges that "hacker" used to sell stolen altcoins and convert them in BTC.

Another indication that it is P.Vernon account is that this address received directly from Cryptsy old hot wallet 16 BTC on 10.January.2016,just few days before closure and in time when receiving just 0.01 BTC was impossible.

What is also interesting that this address 17UFQvsFyq7z2tUHHWhAkGsLTYEaCZZp4S received 56 BTC from Bittrex and 100 from BTC-e,two exchanges that "hacker" used to sell stolen altcoins and convert them in BTC.

Nice work. The awesome thing about all this is im sure silver law and others are reading this thread to use this info. Some of you should be on retainers. I bet Paul err Bao and others detest the fact these threads expose them. They probably think they are so smart...

The truth of it is the block chain isn't anonymous. As long as there are transaction id's and a link to an address in teh chain somewhere that shows ownership then there is a trail. Once the accusation is there and made they have to counter it with their auditing.

Pauls fucked and he knows it. With the changing landscape china has to work more with other countries on scam stuff so he doesn't have anywhere to hide.

I wonder what pushes people to do this. Bittrex and poloniex have shown that admitting hacks when they happen has a outcome where you can recover. I haven't seen a hidden info hack / scam attempt work yet see cryptsy and paycoin. They all collapse and the owners all end up accountable with fines and/or jail. Do they not learn from past history?

I found firm evidences how P.Vernon financed Bitebi9 exchange by money from Cryptsy users.

Bitebi9 was founded 28th.July.2015 and start capital was 300.000 CNY(picture below) ~ $46.000 ~ 184 BTC at that time. Money came from Cryptsy old hot wallet(founded before theft) which was used only for paying Cryptsy expenses and refunding new hot wallet from time to time - users did not receive BTC directly from it at all.

Can the forensics link those trans id's to a cold wallet in bitebi9 somewhere? Should be easy enough with a small deposit to bitebi9 somewhere that shows they go to the same place? I don't think Bao is smart enough to use mixers... if he was you could question why an ethical exchange used mixers.
