Couacaud took a set off of Đoković - did not expect that to be honest, but at least it gave me a decent handicap betting opportunity.

I was on a meeting and could not put anything, but this was certainly a great opportunity to get handicap odds on Djokovic, better than outright (what were the odds right after tie-break?)

Murray just finished his comeback against Kokkinakis. I have been watching a couple of games in all sets and I must say Murray was looking better and better as the match progressed. This is now his second 5 setter in a row and I am not sure how much he has left in the tank for next match. This match also ended early in the morning local time so recuperation will be a problem for Murray. Don't know who he is playing next but I am prepared to bet that he losses first set before starting to play his best game.

Still a nice piece of work from Murray. He has shown tremendous fighting spirit and mentality in today's match. 2-0 in sets behind and also trailing 5-2 in the 3rd set. And then winning the match. His opponent Kokkinakis is an Australian and was the thusi favorite after Kyrgios withdrew from this tournament. So it doesn't seem to be a revival of Murray, in the previous round he also managed to deliver a very good match with occasionally beautiful tennis like the old Murray used to do. Murray is one of the few players to ever beat Federere, Djokovic and Nadal. I still expect a lot from him this tournament, but you can see that he sometimes struggles to move around the track. That in itself is not so strange since he has to play with an artificial knee.

Let's see Cristina Bucsa, #100 against #1. But she won with Andreescu... They never played agains each other before, so hard to say anything except their own records.

I do not expect any extraordinary surprise, Swiatek seems to be going easily for the next title. But if you ask me if it makes sense to bet any money on her, I would say no, I do not like situations when we have clearly defined favourite, to easy to be mistaken.

From that moment on, Djokovic was very strong again and he only lost 2 more games. the 7-6 tiebreak thus seemed to be something of an incident. There are a lot of parties going on every day. I also read that a number of matches had been moved due to rain. I always thought it was sunny there and great tennis weather? No Wimbledon rain anyway.

Djokovic always seems to struggle sometimes but everything will return to his level unless his opponent can really make him down, an injury will make him doubtful when he is in the 3rd round, quarterfinals and so on because he will start to face tougher opponents as it will be against Dimitrov later but from H2H Djokovic is far superior.

Yes, and we have also discussed i Djokovic is doing it intentionally, I mean losing a set in GS and then totally destroyed his opponents in the next couple of rounds. I think that's more destroying your opponent mentally that's why they were not able to recover after that.

Dmitrov will be a tough match for Djokovic is he is injured. And even if he won this and advance, he will have to find a way to overcome it.

That was impressive by Sinner to drop the first two sets against Fucsovics and
come back to win the final 3 sets 1-6, 2-6 and 0-6 - fairly easy in the end.

That's the "5 set" mentality, one one side, the player may not have the strength to
carry the momentum into the third set after winning the first two and on the other
side a player has to more or less play a 3 set match and has the mental strength
to do so.

Sinner has been quietly going about his business these are the first two sets he
has dropped so far.

I thought Fucsovics might trouble him a bit but did not expect Sinner to go 2 sets down.
Still, quite an impressive comeback, to win 3 sets while losing only 3 games is something you don't see that often.

Murray's was the story of the day though, I am really happy he finally seems to be playing without pain. I always liked the guy.

Right now Medvedev is playing against Korda. It is quite impressive that even Medvedev, one of the top players, does not have it so easy. Korda won the first set in a tiebreak and he is on his way to win the second set as well. It seems that many good players and favourites will not have it so easy after all. But just like the in game from Sinner it could also comes down to the "5 set" mentality in the end.

I believe Medvedev is becoming a very average player, he hasn't really been able to build

Gallant effort by Dimitrov in the first set, but Djokovic didn't get an inch and won in a tie break. I thought he will give Dimitrov some breather in the first, but maybe he doesn't want to extend and he need to take a rest, 2 sets to nil, and most probably he will end the 3rd set as well as he is 4-1 ahead.

I agree with @Trofo, Murray doesn't look good and I don't know how he can survived against Agut, but it seems he still had the second wind, he is up 2-0 in the 4th set and server. So let's see if he has some magic and heroic comeback once more.

Looks like he sustained a knee injury just when he was closing out the first set of this match. His trainers were out right before the second set really working on that knee and it looks like his thigh was wrapped up on that same leg.
But Djokovic does what Djokovic does and soldiered on with a flawless win over Dimitrov.
Murray just lost against Agut but it was an impressive journey for a guy who was planning on retiring back in 2021 when he was saying Wimbledon was going to be his last tournament that same year.
The guy is 35 years old but was winning against guys a decade younger.

After Nadal and Medvedev dropped out of the tournament, Djokovic seems to have a great chance to win this tournament.
Whether he is really seriously injured or not, probably only he knows.

Wouldn't be a first time that Djoković looks like he is barely standing and then magically recovers and wins the match and probably whole tournament. This time it was done a bit differently, less drama involved so I am thinking actual injury but very minor one so far.

Without looking at the draws I will go out on a limb and say this is probably the only part of the draw where both seeds came trough and first really interesting match we have this year in AO. H2H is heavy on Tsitsi side but most of those games were played on clay and if I had to choose a surface where Tsitsi should beat Sinner it would be clay. Sinner is also 3 years younger so it is probable that match-up will even up trough time. I believe odds should be even in this match so odds @2.5 on Sinner defiantly have value. Will play on him as well, just ML or set handicap. Game handicap with margin 3.5 means almost nothing in BO5 matches. Too many ways it can go wrong.
