Rublev at 15/1 now even is tempting, if he does a miracle, no better chance to win a GS.
I don't think Rublev can win it, he just doesn't have the constant. What do you mean no better chance to win GS? He plays Djoković next which is toughest possible draw for any player in any Grand Slam. Yeah he came far, but I don't see how he can win against Djoković in best of 5 sets. He can take first set for sure and maybe second but I am expecting him to loose belief during second set already and after that it will be one way match. The toughest, but it's as if you only need to overcome one (the biggest) hurdle tomorrow, and the route to the final gets easier. If I'm Rublev, I'm thinking I'd rather meet the final boss early, because I'll probably play at lower levels later, which won't be enough to overcome Djoko then. If I get past this stage, it's uncharted territory and I won't have the home crowd backing me, the final would be too much to overcome So while I'm totally with you here, he's not got it in him, but if he has a chance, it's the brightest if he wins tomorrow and his chances against Djoko is at its best tomorrow. That said, definitely, all in against him once he's 2 sets up

The Rublev - Djokovic game will start in 9 hours. The numbers 6 and 5 in the world. Djokovic is good, but so good that the bookies only give him 1.15 for a win? Maybe they are doing Rublev short with that, after all you are not just 6th in the world. And Djokovic also suffers from an injury, so the balance of power will still be less than the picture that the bookmakers have currently outlined. With the women Azarenka won a nice match today, I read that she last won the tournament 10 years ago. By the way, let's not forget that Australia has produced great players like Patrick Rafter.

Rublev has an odd of @6.20 if he manages to win this game, I think bookmakers must be very confident that the result of this game is already decided and that they don't expect any surprises such as an unexpected victory for Rublev, I I think Rublev even if it's a small chance he can still win the game but given this odd of @1.14 in favor of Novak I would not risk betting on Rublev even if he has this odd of @6.20 which is even very tempting, it really sounds like buying a lottery ticket but in this case it has a good chance of winning win, but I still won't bet as I am a guy who is too lazy to watch tennis games, it will be very difficult for me, because if I were a patient guy who watched all tennis games, I could watch this game to see to what extent each athlete has an advantage over the other and with this could see if the odds are good for betting, but unfortunately with so many soccer games to watch and bet there is no time to watch tennis games, at most I can only place bets before the games start

I also share the same concern as you guys, mentally he is not as strong as he needs to be. Also I think there is a small red flag as to Djokovic' fitness/injury and to how serious it is if there is one. Re: Paul, he is in control ATM in the 4th set to win the match, he will be serving shortly to take it. I had a small conservative bet on him, so I'll be happy with that.

That is all true and I just decided to place small bet on Rublev winning it 3:0 @26. Those are some odds and I feel like they have same probability of hitting like simple ML which pays just @6.5. Rublev is winning this in straight sets or loosing as soon as Djoković takes one set. No way Rublev comes on top in close match.

Tommy Paul is in the second semi-final. He won against his compatriot Ben Shelton after 4 sets. Paul and Shelton played on a very similar level. Individual mistakes decided the match at the end and Shelton made too many. Now Paul will play against Djokovic or Rublev. This match has just started. I am excited and looking forward to the match.

Shelton vs Tommy Paul both played really well in this match, but Tommy Paul played better. yeah, I also agree that individual mistakes decided this match in the end. If he could avoid those mistakes, probably he could give Paul, a few more problems and probably would have eventually won the match as well. In the end, he made enough mistakes. Anyway, I can say that Paul deserved to win the match. Let's see who Tommy Paul is going to face in the second semi-final.

I was also thinking the same that Rublev might have a good chance against Djokovic, but didn't pull the trigger. And then just surprised to see the Djokovic didn't allow any from Rublev, as he won in 3 straight sets. And from the look of the score, might be easy route for Rublev. Tsitsipas vs Khachanov, Stefanos the favorite here, but I'm going at the handicap of -3.5 at 1.80.

Djokovic against Rublev must of not been much of a contest. Just finished watching Tommy Paul's match end but couldn't stay awake to watch the next one. So decided I'll just watch the ending sets of the Novak match when I get up. When I did, they were just clearing up the courts of the equipment.
Djokovic won all three sets and after watching the highlights it was with ease. So it looks like the problem with his hamstring isn't bothering him at all if he can dismantle a seasoned player like Rublev like that 6-1, 6-2, 6-4.
Let us see if he can make it to the finals of the AO and have the grand slam championship this year so to tie Nadal at 22.

Had a bad record in grandslam quarterfinals 0-6 made Rublev get so depressed and could barely develop his game, didn't expect he would lose so easily to Djokovic and extend his bad record, I thought it would be a 5 set match or at least 4 set but Djokovic always could easily break Rublev's serve and it didn't take long to end this match.

That was really a great performance from Djokovic. I did not see that Rublev having the slightest chance to win a set. The problems with the thigh from Djokovic seem to have disappeared. But the powerful serve also helped him to run not so much today. That was a good performance. He has already booked the final. Paul will not have a chance. But it will be a great experience for him to play against Djokovic in the semi-final.

Nothing more than a training for Đoković. I have to say that it looks like one of the easiest GS's that he'll win.
He's got Paul in the semis, and probably Tsitsipas in the final. He's got a 10-2 score against him and won last 5 matches on hard, with only 1 lost set.
If he loses more than 1 set in these 2 games, I'll be surprised.

agree here, and it was obvious before the AO as well I just cannot decide is Djokovic that good at the moment, or competition is on a really low level - and later seems as closer option looking at semi-finalists, maybe Tsitsi and Khachanov can play longer match, but Djokovic will probably play 6 more sets till title

It's really hard to see this going any other way than Djokovic clocking up another GS. Really surprised by the straight set win today, 1-6, 2-6, 4-6. I recon Rublev had himself beaten in the dressing room. What sort of a chance does Paul have? he finished last year very strong, can he at least take a set from Djokovic?

Djokovic is unstoppoble. 3-0 for Djokovic against Paul for sure in the upcoming match. Djokovic even with his injury is playing with every single player on the tour. This is just shamefull that a guy that has 35 years plays against others like against children. Only an injury can make that Djokovic losses the title

Yeah, damned Rublev didn't even give us a set so ended up putting no money down, no idea who Tommy Paul is or how he plays to be frank but I reckon there's a slight bit of value in a 3:1 Djoko score (almost 4/1)... I know he's perfect but doesn't he like to put himself a mountain to climb?

I think it is a combination of both. Đoković has a claim to be the tennis GOAT and still performs on a really high level, but tennis in general hasn't been this weak in a long time. I recall the beginning of the Federer era in which there simply weren't dominant players around and I feel that's what awaits us soon again. From the current crop of players there are a lot of good ones, but other than Alcaraz not a single great one - and even Alcaraz is not there yet. We were kinda spoiled with how good we've had it with Fed, Rafa and Novak.

Djokovic has made a big impression, this time on the tennis court. He wins against opponents as if they were on the tennis court for the first time. Only Tstitsipas seems to be a serious challenger in a possible final. Djokovic will also have little trouble in the semi-final. He was visibly irritated during his match about certain supporters, but as a top tennis player you also have to be able to handle criticism. And completely in his situation. There are still many people who disagree with how Djokovic went through the Corona period and deliberately did not get vaccinated. You should draw a line under that, but in the station some people had been drinking and then they can get annoying.

I don't have anything against Ruud but player of his qoulity to be comfortably on 3rd spot is a bit disappointing. He is very good on clay and just solid on other surfaces. Best thing I can say about him is that he is constant with his results but I don't see him as top 5 player for sure. Hell, Marin Čilić is still in top 20 and I have a feeling he had a constant struggle with form and injuries last season. What the hell are others doing then?

This is much expected win and for that reason none to be make a fault and loss to him. His game is different and he is to hold the title after a break. This is his decision and we can't comment on it, because different people had different opinion on vaccination. People who are with hatred on his success makes criticism. These are all quite simple things for him and he handles well in a gentle way.
