The Australian women's final between Sabalenka and Rybakin is very certain and dramatic. The current score is 1:1 in sets and 3:3 in the third set. A very interesting match to watch and a good preparation for tomorrow's men's final It is interesting that in the media, at least in my country, more is being written about the incident with Djokovic's fans for holding Russian flags and symbols, and their meeting with Djokovic's father, than about the upcoming final tomorrow. Last year we read about Djokovic's deportation, this year about flags and symbols worn by fans, and we listen and read the least about sports. This is a lot of pressure for Djokovic, he should be focusing on his tennis and his game, instead he has to think about things like this and why his father won't be watching his match live tomorrow. I hope this doesn't affect his match tomorrow.

Sabalenka, who was always criticized for her mentality and attitude, got back the match she fell behind with a great comeback, especially in the 3rd set, she served very well, reduced mistakes and scored a lot of winners, especially in that last game. She came out of a draw 4 times and got her first grand slam. She showed how much he improved his mental and service with this tournament and this match. Consistency in women's tennis is something that we rarely come across. The last and most specific example is the iga swiatek. Sabalenka and Rybakina are considered players with high potential and ceiling. I am sure we will see more of their names in the grand slam finals in the coming years. I also agree with the thing about Djokovich. I don't like to see these things in the sports. He should just focus on his game and career. Other stuff shouldn't affect us, the simple viewer.

I don't think it will affect him that much, if there is, it will be positive seen the Australian fans cheer him in this comeback game here, so there is no love lost or something. So it's going to be Tsitsipas who I have been supporting for the last couple of years, give me some good win but in the last year it was pure disappointment. Anyhow, I'm going with the over 36.5, I think the +5.5 for him might be a trap, IMHO.

Re: Tsitsipas
I think a good few of us got let down by betting on Tsitsipas in the past, I haven't been betting on him either since then.
TBH it seems to me (and it's something I said back in December) Djokovic has to be feeling superior, and knows he is superior ATM to any other player on tour.
I would say he has already at this stage lined up a win in every tournament in his schedule and definitely every GS this year as a win.
He fairly breezed through his match today, 3 sets!
I really can't see Tsitsipas winning tomorrow. Djokovic to me is super focussed, after last year - he is on a mission now.
I genuinely liked Tsitsi, as a very casual follower who only gets to watch maybe 1 in 5 games properly, and only GS, the problem was when I started betting on him too, and you always felt, with the greats slowly retreating from the stage (with the exception of Djoko), I always felt he would be one of the replacements. Did anyone actually have Tsitsi on outright? Was at least 20/1 as I recall. Amazing time to hedge.

Nice performance by Sabalenka who was the 2nd Belarusian player to win this tournament. The beginning was for Rybakina, who won the first set. Both players made a lot of unnecessary mistakes, but you can't compare women's tennis to men's tennis, which is much more explosive. Tonight/tomorrow we get Djokovic's match against Tsitsipas, but that could also be a very short match if you look at Djokovic's form that way. Then Tsitsipas is a bit vulnerable I think. But maybe Djokovic's injury will cause problems.

Sabalenka won the final match between her and Rybakina. She is the Australian women's winner right now. And it was a really great match. Rybakina did actually find it hard to perform well in this match. The men's final is going to be very interesting. So far I honestly think that Novak Djokovic is going to be the winner. And he is also certainly the favorite. But it is the Australian Open final. So his opponent Tsitsipas it's all suckable enough performing road. So, I think we should not rule out any chance of surprises in this match. I also hope that the personal issues of Novak Djokovic does not affect his performance in the final.

Performed well with a good bounce back after the first set won by Rybakina. With the win Sabalenka have marked herself as the 22nd player to win Australia Open. Earlier she have won in the doubles event. Last year's Wimbledon Champion had good control over the match once she won the first set. The comeback from Sabalenka gave good fight and outplayed the game. Expected the third set to be more fighting. Lets see some close fight in the upcoming men's finals.

Well he is a set down now and on serve on the second set. Would be interesting to hear if anyone had indeed Tsitsipas backed or even as outright. We at home here were big fans of Tsitsipas a few years ago, and he was tipped to be one of the "top 3" replacements, but it hasnt materialised yet, maybe he will come good this year? I definitely think though that he needs to ditch the family from the coaching, they are a distraction IMO.

Second set end will make the match interesting or it might end it one sided. First set is easily won by Djokovic, and the second set have reached the tie breaker. The real heat of Australia Open is being felt now. Very few matches were really interesting to watch as they had good comeback and winning moments whereas the majority were just one sided matches.
Edit: Finally second set won by Djokovic 77 - 64

Didn't realise he had family on coaching (but doesn't Djoko and a lot of others do as well?). Still find it a bit strange to have that, even if it does happen in football too. Anyway, match is going almost as I expected. More aces from Tsitsi, but more receiving points from Djoko. Still waiting for a set to drop before I pull trigger on any bet but at least second set shows the Greek can still get to him. He needs to get a good streak going though and get his forehand going... totally let him down in the tie break.

Chances are high for Djokovic to win the match and the Australian Open against Tsitsipas.
The second set might have been everything for Tsitsipas but he lost on the tie break. Now Djokovic 2 sets up, and leading the 3rd set now.
Tsitsipas will have to pull some miracle here, he has to look as winning just one set just to be able to maintain and be in the game. So it's a battle of the mental aspect as well and Djokovic has the edge. 3-3 Djokovic serving in the 3rd set.
Edit: Unforgiving Djokovic, 3rd set win in another tie break. Congrats to win, another AO trophy added.

Djokovic didn't give his strong opponent a chance and achieved a clear victory and reached his 22nd championship. He dominated this tournament by becoming the champion for the 10th time at the Australian Open. Although it was the year that he couldn't play because he didn't have the corona virus vaccine, he was always the number 1 favorite when he joined. Coming back here has been amazing. Tsitsipas may be champions for years to come, but Djokovic will remain a favorite at every Grand Slam he attends until he retires.

not sure if that is forehand, or mental strength to think "i can do it", but it does not seem as Tsitsi can do that but eventually, probably easiset GS for Djokovic, can't remember he won it without a doubt and lost sets from the start (although last Wimbledon was similar, but he lost a lot of sets there, providing nice betting opportunities) anyway, congrats to Djokovic on winning it

Tsitsipas really has to cut down on his unforced errors. He played better in both the second and third sets and arguably should have won both. He needs to improve his second serve and his forehand.

First of all, Tsitsipas needs to work on his mental preparation for important tennis matches. It is no coincidence that although he is a very talented and good tennis player, he has not won any GS so far, even though this was his second final. In the most important moments of this final match, Djokovic was always calmer and better, he made much less mistakes and because of that he won and won the new GS. Young tennis stars like Tsitsipas, Medvedev or Zverev are excellent tennis players, but they still lack something to be at the level of the big three of world tennis, Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. I think that we will see the dominance of Nadal and Djokovic in tennis for at least another year or two.

He won his 22nd grandslam title today and caught up with Nadal. I have never seen such a physically strong, durable, patient and mentally strong player, including all branches of sports. I never liked him, but there is nothing i can do but respect him. A player who played in an era when there were two tennis icons like Nadal and Federer and could surpass both in terms of sporting success is only respected.

A really respectable finish to a fantastic tournament. If I recall correctly, he lost only 1 set - and it was early on against Couacaud.
Roland Garros will be fantastic to watch this season, it is probably Nadal's last shot at no1 in total GS's won. Even if he does win it, Đoković would still be favorite to catch up in Wimbledon and US open.
Tsitsipas played well throughout 90% of the match today, but to beat Đoković even now you have to be almost at 100% or he'll find a way to punish you.

It was a great tournament for Djokovic. No one has been able to thwart him, but players like Nadal and Alcaraz have not really participated. Not Alcaraz at all and Nadal also had to give up in a match in one of the first rounds. Furthermore, no one has come close to Djokovic, but he was also very keen to win this tournament after he was not allowed to participate last year. He has not made himself popular with many fans because of his attitude to the corona virus that he absolutely did not want to get a vaccination. But you can't continue to judge someone on that basis, of course. If we look purely at his technical qualities, he deserved to win. Tsitsipas had 1 set point in the final in the 2nd set, but was unable to use it.

Roland Garros will actually be the best GS this season if all players are fit. It is the best surface for Nadal, Tsitsipas and Ruud while it is probably the worst one for Djoković even though he is so good on all of them that it frivolous to even mention it. Grass could give a chance to some big servers but I don't see who can stop Djoković on US Open other than USA government Tsitsipas had some small chances today but played them really poorly. As you said you need to be on 100% all the time against Djoković to take even one set and Tsitsipas gave way too much in crucial moments.
