It is very very weird to see Warriors at 11th and Lakers at 12th. I mean they have started the season so terribly, and now Steph is injured as well for a long time so it is going to be very very hard to be even in the playoffs, and Lakers started terribly and some smaller changes made Lakers a bit better but they need a 4 win streak to even reach .500 so it is not going to be easy.

These are really good teams who are struggling right now, with some right strategy and tactics they should be able to reach to first 8 and made it to playoffs, they should. I think the season is still early, we are close to just half, not even there yet, so with time maybe it will happen.

Quite weird but we've seen both teams at their lowest a few seasons ago. Weird in manner that these teams were championship calibers but this only proves that the game is upgrading and evolving.

It's not always the type of basketball that these teams are showing but, it's good for everyone that they can see that even the best are falling and at their lowest.

We're also seeing unfavorable teams for the past seasons and yet, they're doing great this season.

Yeah, probably some anxious moments for the Lakers to see Davis again, limping and so he has to take a break and see the extend of that injuries. Really fragile big man, but hopefully he will be ok and just needed to rest that ankle or what part is injured.

Huge W for the Lakers at home, at least they didn't choke in the team and play as a coherent team with Lebron taking the leadership. Like the game of WB tonight, easy triple double and then attacking the basket when everyone thought that he will make a pass. While big man Thomas Bryant has his way against Jokic and scoring big 21 points.

You're right. Davis is a fragile guy, considering he can be injured every time he makes a bad move. So let's hope he won't miss more than a couple of games because of another injury. As for Westbrook's performance this game, he really surprised the Lakers fans. By the way, the funny fact is that it was only his second triple-double this season, and he did the first one just a couple of games ago.

They need to perform like this, more games like this where they are allowing Bryant to help. The man has that skill they just need to keep feeding him and he will deliver.

I like how both Dennis and Russ play today. They are aggressive and they are not being intimidated by
LeBron's presence they are deciding what they've thought is right.

The end results favor them and a surprising one since Davis was not there to help them the whole
game.

They need a big guy to really fill in the shoes w/o AD and good thing that Bryant is taking advantage of that situation. But he needs to be consistent as there are games that he seems to be struggling.

Yes, both Dennis and Russ are very comfortable now, some good plays between the two. Dennis has some moments wherein he goes for one on one play and score. Pat Bev also hitting that corner 3 and then looking at the Nuggets bench, hehehe. So everyone is enjoying their time now with the Lakers and the chemistry or at least Ham's rotation are working perfectly.

Warriors were already bad but now without Steph they will tank more. We saw that in yesterday's game. Philly had an easy win. In first quarter Donte DiVincenzo shot amazing but after that he was lost. Embiid and Harden crushed them.  I expect Warriors to go down to 13th place in the West. Lakers and Thunder will pass them before new year.
Lakers is going better. They may get a spot for play-in. If they trade an important player we may see them in higher spots though. In Wizards game we'll see tomorrow how they handle things without Anthony Davis.

Not weird on Los Angeles Lakers as you said, they already started the season terribly. For Golden State Warriors, before, when Steph Curry is not present, this team is still intact and tough to beat by most teams. It just means today that they are not the Warriors before that not relying too much on Steph. Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole should show their fans that they deserved that big contract and now that Curry is not present, it's now a chance for them to show their worth.

The Lakers recently are now slowly changing from worst to fair. They were able to silence their haters in the meantime.

If they will keep these healthy wins, that's a good start to build a good standing before the NBA All-Star break.

Good win by the Lakers as well, it was a very close game, until late in the 3rd quarter when they got the momentum and continue it to the 4th. Another triple double for Westbrook, Reaves, Pat Bev hitting 3's outside and so is Dennis the Menace.

But the whole story is AD, looking to be injured again as he has to take a sit.

And then the old Lebron, can still dunk and run and deliver at the other end with a dunk.

It's a good win by the Lakers against the 3rd best team in the west. Aside from Lebron, the rest of the team really step up when needed most. But of course, this is just 1 regular game and they need AD. Maybe tomorrow there will be results already on AD's injury, I am not a Laker fan but of course, we want all these athletes to stay healthy to make the league more competitive.

This is how they should play, as a team. Everybody is contributing and not just relying on their stars to carry them to victory. 7 players with double-digit score helping the 30 points of Lebron. Westbrook is reliable in the rebound and the assists department. That is a good Lakers basketball and against a very competitive team as well, not just a bottom team. The Lakers are showing signs of life even though they are still very far from making it to the top 8 or top 10 at least.

I personally think it's an end of an era with Warriors and they should think to trade some players if they still want Curry to be a on his top level for next year , because this year seems already like a lost one for them.
They are not super strong but they are also not super weak and it's still fun to watch them even with Klay Thompson being inconsistent.
This is where players have a chance to be a star, Jordan Poole, Lamb, DiVincenzo, Kuminga, and we saw Wiseman play again.
I am waiting for Wiggins to be back because I am sure he will try to step up his game while Curry is healing.

I do not understand why they are telling it is already a lost season for the warriors. When you look at their roster, they are full of potential and anyone of those names you mention can suddenly have a breakout season anytime. It is just a matter of time for Wiseman. Jordan Poole had a breakout last year and suddenly the Warriors are in the playoffs, finals, and winning the Championship. We know Wiggins can do it. Maybe the Warriors are a couple of role players away from getting back to the top spot. They need two-way role players that can defend and still reliable in scoring.

I think the big story from the last Lakers game is LeBron scoring over 30 for his 3rd straight game.  The first old guy to do that since Michael Jordan twenty years ago.  Westbrook played great also though.  It's almost like the Lakers are starting to get it together and might find themselves in the postseason this year.

And with that 30 points production from LeBron James last night's win against the Denver Nuggets, he's now 765 points short of passing Kareem Abdul Jabar on being the top NBA All-Time scoring leader. Not a big deal for others especially for his critics but that is something difficult to achieve even with an intentional stat-padding on every game.

Also agree that they are now starting getting a in good rhythm unlike during their early games that they can really be considered as a flop team.

That win last night without Anthony Davis is something of good progress and development on the team as they lose a player with an average of 30 PPG there but they were able to fill that gap against a good team. If they will continue on that good progress, they will soon be able to climb the standing.

Yes, and there are a lot of players who step up in this game,

Bryant is worth nothing though, with 21 big points and this is against the reigning MVP Jokic that somewhat offset the scoring that AD could have in this game, although before getting injured he has 10 point already.

Austin Reaves, Schröder and Russell Westbrook all played 30 minutes plus and they also have a good contribution. So it's a well balance attack against one of the best team in Nuggets.

Jist saying my knicks with 6 in a row.  Back to back wins on the road against Chicago.  Their defense has been amazing once thibs has changed to this 9 man rotation.  Quentin grimes taking over the starting sg position has changed the complex of this team.  They might not be championship level but at least they are fun to watch now.  Looking forward to this next month to see which direction they go.
I like this new style, let other players participate and give them more minutes. Don't overuse their core and try something new.
They punished the Bulls for not playing defense. The next stop is the Pacers, I say they might continue this streak. The crucial part will be the defenders posted for Haliburton and Hield, those two cannot go hot or they will pay for it.

I do not understand why they are telling it is already a lost season for the warriors. When you look at their roster, they are full of potential and anyone of those names you mention can suddenly have a breakout season anytime. It is just a matter of time for Wiseman. That's Wiggins. It will be an exhausting job but I think he can manage as he is still young.
Klay and Draymond though should try the same play as they do with Curry. Get Klay's rhythm back as fast as possible while Curry is resting.
Jordan Poole should also think about minimizing those damn dribbles, it creates too many turnovers either ball carry or just losing the ball.

That's a huge win by the Lakers, after losing some games, hopefully they will be fully back on track. With Davis and Lebron staying healthy, there's really a huge potential that they'll reach in the playoffs, and although I think they will not be as dominant when they won the championship, but this team is still a scary team.

By the way, finally Suns were able to avenge their losses in a come back win, also, in the last seconds, Booker still shoot the ball showing he didn't respect the Pelicans.

I think you may have missed the game because AD goes down injured in their games against the Nuggets. So it's only Lebron who try to glued the team together playing as if he is still not in his age right now. Couple of dunks and penetration.

Hard to see them still in the playoff even with AD healthy, teams in the West are very competitive. They are still in the 12th position.

They need a lot of effort to at least be in the top 10 rankings so they'll qualify in the play-in tournament. Davis health is very vital, with an inconsistent Davis, Lakers might struggle winning games in the regular which are necessary to improve their ranking. Things are really different now, the good teams like Warriors are not even at the top, so it's a big competition in the play in tournament.

Yeah, Pelicans, Kings and the Trail Blazers are a surprised team in the West right now. And then we have the defending champion Warriors struggling and without Curry, they might end up below the top 8 standings but have a good chance for a play in like the Lakers.

But the problem with the Lakers is that they lack something, they are not as deep as before. Although they have some success with Lebron, in the long run it might hurt them a bit if others are not consistent as AD and Bron.

They are mighty with defense with Mitchell Robinson on their side, now he is averaging 1.9 total blocks for this season, and I think pretty much with that kind of rebounds had some additional defense for the team, well they are still not champion material but they did well with the Chicago Bulls and stopping most of the Bulls players in making any progress if this continues they might take 76ers position, in the eastern standings, but for now the 76ers also is a formidable team that need to take on aswell,

For me, if Westbrick keeps on targeting triple-doubles it will not be enough, for me, I think do not target a triple-double but a huge output on scoring, like he recently have against the Nuggets it was an impressive triple-double but he needs to do more, and right now Anthony Davis has a foot injury that may cause some losing game for the Lakers but if Russell Westbrick would keep up his triple-double target it will not be enough I think he needs to do more on the scoring because Anthony Davis may return on December 19,

I agree with that, it's the consistency of the players that is the problem. Westbrook cannot be relied upon as he was already in the 2nd unit, so not having Lebron or Davis in the starting lineup is such a big problem, most especially if Davis is the one that will be injured. Although the Lakers are winning some games their standing is undeniably low, they need to improve their rank to be in the playoff spot.

No Davis against the Wizards, but I think they can handle this team.

I think scoring isn't Westbrook's strong suit. Nevertheless, his ability to grab a lot of rebounds and make a lot of assists can be very useful for the Lakers, but only in those moments when Russ makes the minimum number of turnovers per game. As for Davis' absence, Thomas Bryant might partially replace him if he continues to perform as well as he did in the previous game against the Nuggets.

I barely see Westbrook create more than 20 points lately since he is now in the second unit. His best contributions are from his assists and rebounds. This is good since he keeps feeding Lebron and AD or anyone who is hot in the Lakers to keep them hot.

But the problem with the Lakers is that they lack something, they are not as deep as before. Although they have some success with Lebron, in the long run it might hurt them a bit if others are not consistent as AD and Bron.

They still have less than two months before the trade deadline. They need to figure out what they need and who can push them to the next level and acquire them. They are showing some life lately with the current roster that they have. If they can acquire someone that can complete them before the deadline, they still have enough time to get accustomed to each other and make a push for the playoffs.

I actually think they will be fine without steph.  Think they will gel as a team and Poole will step up.  Gonna take the Poole over in points props most games.  He is going to get a ton of shots and defenses will focus on klay.

The Golden State Warriors should try to fill Steph Curry's 30 PPG and take note that it's always a consistent performance for him.

It's also worth noting that even though Curry does some monster stats per game, the Warriors sometimes still lose.

Let's see the adjustment of their players, especially those who enjoy and signed a big contract with the team during the off-season. Smiley
I agree immensely. Golden State had huge contracts for the young players that were not part of the 2015 2017 era, for example. I understood it as a post-Curry rebuilding. For example Poole is kinda play like Splash Brothers. If I were a GM, I wouldn't sign him with an enormous contract like that when I had Curry and Klay Thompson. So, when Curry is out with injury, those players who had a huge contract when GSW are already a over-paying team, should step up and make GSW not miss Curry as much as they can. I or anyone can't expect they would fill the shoes of a superstar like Curry but a pretty decent performance is expected from them.

They need to perform after the team management signed them with a huge contract, but we can't tell if they will be able to win the game
even with a monster's performance from those high-contract young players.

If the opposite team will perform more against them, then it's useless, they need to play both good offense and defense then try to
work things outside Steph.

The team needs to work together and try to win with or without Curry.

Devin booker with 58! points, damn man. That dude is a great scorer, a pure scorer at that and he definitely increases is arsenal a lot as well he is scoring all kinds of ways. I am not guessing that he will be playing without injury long enough to be in the top 5, but his trajectory looks like he could be in the company of the greatest about scoring when it is all said and done, he has been scoring a lot of points for a long time now, he broke that 70 point game so many years ago, dude is great.

I guess that Suns also felt great about beating Pelicans after they had a fight about Zions dunk last game, which was stupid if you ask me, there are no extra added hidden rules.
