Btw, some bugs I found(version 2.4.5),
The minepeon version is not displaying my hashing rate correctly, it is 1.2 times the actual rate.
When donation is enabled, i can only donate. I would like to donate some of my mining time but not all.
So I am forced to delete the donation pool.
The green arrow to switch pool is not working.
And sometimes when I delete a pool minepeon cannot recognize my devices, and I am forced to fully reinstall minepeon.

Maybe this is just me, but I am just reporting what i experience, hopefully you find the feedback usefull.

Very useful!

Bug reports are great.  Mos of the issues have been addresses but I will go back and check.  I am hoping to have the fixes all back into stable soon (0.2.5 UNSTABLE is exactly that, unstable for testing).

I have an issue with apache being upgraded from 2.2 to 2.4 that just cropped up (always the way when I want to get a new version out) but as soon as I port everything and test it thoroughly I will get an image out.  Please remember though, I have to have a normal 40 hour a week job so I can eat so be merciful if I don't get it out as quickly as you would like.

Neil

Thanks for the news, Neil.

I tried today the updates (pacman -Syu & git pull) on the RPI I have at work, after 1 week of holidays, with only 28 Arch Linux updates  Grin, without problems.

I got the following error, trying to git pull MinePeon:

Quote
minepeon ~ # cd /opt/minepeon/
minepeon /opt/minepeon # git pull

from the remote, but no such ref was fetched.

As expected, after a reboot of the RPI, there was no MinePeon GUI, but I got the following error with Google Chrome (with the 3 RPI's @ home, I only get the "This webpage is not available" message):

What did I do wrong this time?

Nothing, I am merging everything back to master in order to put out a release with all most of the new features.  The unstable branch will be disappearing (for now).  I just have a few remaining bug's to sort and I need to change everything from apache 2.2 to 2.4 and I am done Wink .

Good luck, my friend.

Meanwhile, there was today a second update to apache 2.4:  apache-2.4.7-2-armv6h   1143.7 KiB

Interesting... without the MinePeon apache GUI working, my 2 RPI's with many USB Block Erupters are much more stable and are now working without any crash from 2 days ago. Before, they were crashing 1 to 2 times a day.

99% chance that you were running 0.2.5 UNSTABLE.  I have just about given up on detailed statistics on a ARM device it causes too many issues (just about, more to come).

Sorry I did not get a replacement image out last night, I got home ate something and went to bed.  Life is very busy at the moment and MinePeon is pushing me into 60+ hour weeks.

Any word on the HEX16A2 support, Neil?

My little TL3020 blew up (it didn't like trying to run 5 HEX16A2 boards via the USB port).  I haven't been paying attention recently, everything was just running for months until the magic smoke got out.

Yes, it's the 0.2.5 UNSTABLE, Neil. And never forget that this is a hobby and your health must be in first place! You need to sleep more.

I searched through this thread and did not find anything. I'm curious if anyone has used MinePeon with a Gridseed Scrypt ASIC?

I'm now trying the new 0.2.4.6 version of MinePeon and I'm getting back an old problem, regarding the mac-address of the RPI, that is seen by the Windows DHCP: ebe6080000010001c792bc8cb827eb621e4f instead of b827ebe60800.

Also, I love the new SSH menu, but it would be nice to have an option to see the IP address of the RPI (for instance via ifconfig).

Tell me how you go, I "blind patch & compile" the HEX stuff from patches that are found on the http://technobit.eu/ site.
