unfortunately it was a predictable thing, they had to think about it when they created the 2021 calendar, given the huge restrictions that Australia has due to the covid. Let's just hope it's the only change of the year, I was reading on motorsport that the federation is evaluating 2-3 circuits to use as a wild card in case of calendar problems (and one should be Imola) There are rumors that the Chinese GP will also be cancelled/delayed and the GP of Portugal will in its place.

I have heard about Australia GP are going to be postponed but haven't heard such thing about Chinese GP. I hope we get rid of covid-19 as soon as possible and there will be no need for postponing any GP no more. It seems that the new season is going to start with Bahrain (Sakhir) GP on 28 March.

Yes, I have seen it. Unfortunately, another Grand Prix is gonna be postponed again. I am really tired of this covid-19 period. Because of it, bad things have been happening for a long time. I hope that the new season won't start much later than it is decided too. Because this is the second GP being postponed and there are still more than 2 months for the season to start.

For the first or second quatal looks like beginning oft 2020, i also hope not the same at MotoGp. Maybe the calendar looks little bit better than at Formula1, at Katar i think the MotoGp can start in the new session but Argentinia and USA?

I think that unfortunately they will not be the only grands prix to be moved or even canceled. The federation had to think about it before creating the calendar, if there are countries where the covid problem is difficult to solve in a short time, it was better not to include them in the calendar. Unfortunately, I believe we will have a similar calendar to 2020, with some countries where two races will be held on the same circuit

The moving GPS will happen again.
If I remember correctly this year they also have a "bonus Gp" in the schedule, it is with an empty location (if they had not updated in the latest months) and he can be run whatever they want in one of the last year GPs.
Like Mugello, Portugal, Imora etc.

They have it on April 25th, 4th race of the season, where they initially planned to have race in Vietnam. But if more races like Australia and China will be cancelled, they would need for some more alternative circuits. When situation with Covid still isn't good, it would be smart to have plan B if something goes wrong.

In the alternative calender Portugal would be at 11th of April and Imola would be at 25th of April. Mugello isn't on the list yet but can always come if the rules changes for some other countries. Alternative calender I found on the dutch version of Motorsports.com: https://nl.motorsport.com/f1/news/alternatieve-kalender-2021-f1-coronavirus/4936968/

https://us.motorsport.com/f1/news/verstappen-time-ticking-title-dreams/4959816/Max Verstappen says that he is not worried about being the champion in F1 now at all. He is still very young and I think he will win the title in the future. Mercedes is too powerful in this turbo hybrid era but I believe this dominance will end in some years.

I want to believe that too. But Mercedes doesn't look like it will lose their place any time soon. Maybe banning the DAS system can affect something but I have heard that Mercedes already gained more than 25 HP power on its car.

It's something unexpected. Interesting, what is the reason behind this decision because last year Renault had really solid season. BTW, probably it's time to start calling them Alpine, because it's their new name for 2021 season.

I just have a doubt that Fernando Alonso influenced the decision, otherwise it would make no sense to change, I hope for them that they have clear ideas for the future, because Renault had taken a good path and with Alonso would have only improved

We'll see if that was a good decision, Alonso can be a difficult part in a team even if he's a good driver.

I am really surprised with this news. Renault had a great season I think. It finished the season 4th and Daniel Ricciardo finished as 5th. I hope he can do nice things again if he goes to another F1 team in the future.

Yes, this does look likely. The difference this time I suppose is that last year it was all new, and no-one knew how it could be managed. Whereas in 2021 we have last year as an example of how it can be done. I do expect a full calendar this year, particularly as the vaccine starts to have an effect. But yes, inevitably there will be some postponements and cancellations.

https://us.motorsport.com/f1/news/2021-calendar-announced-imola-australia/4966187/F1 added Imola to the 2021 calendar and Australian GP is moved to November. You can find the revised calendar too from the link above. I am glad to hear that Imola GP is added. But I would like Turkish GP to be added too. I think it is one of the best tracks in F1.
