You should set the amout of VMEM like summ of all GPUs RAM size.

Dowper, you are just losing your time. Everyone here will label you a F....N TROLL, just because they are blind to see the simple truth. They don't want it. Here the truth has no value. These people have earned much more with the legendary Claymore miner when the Ethereum was $1600 USD so why should they bother to change their miner just for 4% more of $160 USD per 1 Ethereum. They have emotional affection with Claymore. Emotions are stronger than logic in most people.

i am old school miner on Vega 56:)

i used TRM doing 44.5Mh but now i want to use Claymore (it's more legend miner), currently doing 43.5Mh losing 1Mh a card, i am mining with 380x Vega 56 and using MmpOS as OS is there maybe a switch optimizing the hashrate 1Mh loss might not seem alot but multiple with 380x it's actually alot

TRM gets 50Mh on hynix vega56. You're leaving more than 10% on the table by switching

no is not enough
raise it to 48.000 it should solve your problem

switch your mining to a linux distribution cause your cards of 4gb will mine much longer on linux than on windows, and linux is more stable

I think you are wrong, setup win10 in the right way, it is also stable. Running my Rigs on win10 over 3 or 4 months without reboot is no problem.

I had the complete different suituation, mining on W7, later on W10 gave me such problems with stability and also hashrate drops that I finally decide to move on linux completely
Linux cannot freez, that's the main point, than I can still mine with 4GB cards

the remote management is much more easier too

i want to know if there is a command to show me how many shares each of the cards is getting.
claymore only gives me a total and doesn't break it down like phoenix does.
and as well what is the command to stop it from writing a log file after every session?

For detailed statistics press "s" key while it running.
Start it with "-dbg -1" option for no log file and no debug messages.

You can find these informations and more in readme file.

Dual mining was very profitable during 2017-2018 because there were not ASICs back then. The reason why dual mining was possible was because the GPU actually stays idle the majority of the time and it's the GDDR that does most of the work. So claymore figured out if there is some algo out there that doesn't require tons of memory like ETH or ZEC or XMR then it's possible to dual mine like DCR SIA and PASCAL.

Issue with this is that it's very easy and cheap to design an ASIC which is much more efficient. So you basically have one ASIC that is maybe 50x the speed of one rig. Hence why the days of dual mining are done. Since the ASICs took over and not worth mining at all these days.

I am not sure if Claymore reads this, but are you working on enabling somehow offloading the Dag after it reaches 4GB? Maybe using a rig with some 8GB cards and some 4GB cards and averaging the Dag between the cards. Would make your miner even more popular.

I believe that there isn't any way to offload the DAG. In order for the hashing to happen it needs to be loaded into the GPU's memory. I think this was discussed further up the thread.

I've downloaded the most recent version of the AMD drivers. 
When I initially ran claymore I did have to run the command "-drivers uninstall" as it was telling me a problem with that.  Did that and that error has gone away during startup of mining.
I'm thinking the next step is to overclock?  But even with my gaming machine I'm touchy about that due to the damage it could inflict. Is there an app that will test where I can safely set it up to?

Have you switched to Compute mode instead of Graphics mode on the amd drivers?  If you haven't do it for each gpu.  Don't worry about overclocking.  Just don't put the memory over 2250.  so set powerlimit to -10, cclock 1150-1200 mclock 2100-2250.  If you go to 2250 and it starts getting invalid shares, back the memory down to 2225, 2200, 2175 ect, until it is stable.  Also at one of the -straps to ur command line to apply good bios timings to maximize cards potential.
