Hello guys!Yes i have a idea for your video Vegas!!!should it be possible to add subtitles please?Because i have so much difficulty to understand.it will be more easy for me to understand your video if you put subtitles on it.... Grin

pour vous , quoi que ce soit!

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

If you Google pics of the old Neptune(?) boards, someone mapped the cores to the VMs and made a picture of it.  If the boards are the same (and I think they are), the mappings should be the same.

Ive googled this and looked through HUNDREDS of images and I dont see it. Can you please try to find this? It is VERY important for the hardware video, and I may have found a way to repair dead dies, BUT I need to know the die # locations.

Here it is, but it looks different than the Titan board.  My bad.

Ya Ive read pretty much every page on that thread and there is no useful information on were each die # is located.

Okay, I'm posting this info NOT BECAUSE I NEED A FIX, but because I hope it will help GenTarkin with his software development…

I have an early Batch 1 Titan (Sept 2014).  I have a total of five cubes, with a total of fifteen working cores among them.  I keep the dead cores turned off.  I keep the semi-dead cores turned off.  The whole rig hashes at 280 - 300 Mhs.  It needs to be hard-rebooted many times to run properly, and then it will only run for 6 - 12 hours without a reboot.

UNLESS...

The best firmware version for me is v1.15, not because it's good.  Actually it sucks, but after a few reboots, the GUI crashes.  It is completely unresponsive.  When this happens, my rig will run at full speed (confirmed at litecoinpool.org) for weeks and weeks at a time.  I think the longest it ever ran was 8 weeks without a reboot, but I can usually get a solid month out of it.

The point I'm trying to make is that my rig works perfectly WHEN THE SOFTWARE ISN'T WORKING.

My hope is that this information might help GenTarkin with his firmware development.  I'd be happy to communicate about this privately.

I also plan on buying a copy of the new firmware to support his work.

...I personally have never had an issue with added cubes to a controller and the pi becoming overloaded and killing dies. Im not sure how this would kill the dies. I have 6 controllers and in my personal experience have never had a controller fail. I dont see the benefit of adding RasPi 2 , even if it could be added.

I'm not implying that the controller can kill a die.  I'm saying that if you check the processor usage on the RasPi, you'll see it is high and sustained, sometimes above 90%.  It's possible that the RasPi gets overloaded and messes up communication with a core, and the core becomes unstable or shuts down.

I have a couple of cubes with cores that are sketchy.  When I run one of these cubes by itself, it is stable.  When I add other cubes to the controller, the sketchy cube will begin losing dies.  If I don't manually shut those dies off, the entire rig is unstable.

This is not a power issue.  I'm running 2 x CoolerMaster V1000's, and have tried different cubes on different PSUs, etc.

My theory is that the RasPi and/or controller becomes overloaded and is responsible for instability in the cubes.  This is why I asked questions earlier about using a faster SBC , like a RasPi2, to run the controller, or reverse-engineering to eliminate the controller entirely.

Vegas

AGAIN THIS IS THE NEPPIE VERSION FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND ...NOT TITAN VERSION (for those unfamiliar)

sent you the pic via a email you sent me from for the 99a upgrade off ebay i got also 1/2hr ago

i suppose i should also just post it here for others i guess

again NEPPIE DIES (supposedly) just saved the pic don't have the link

if the above flakes out it is under my Titan 2nd Album the last pic added on Imgur below

(my knc shrine heh drank the kool aid...look around if you wish....gonna miss home mining big time) Smiley

http://lostgonzo.imgur.com/

Anyway appreciate your efforts (as do others here) on our behalf Smiley Keep up the good work Smiley

By the by got the version upgrade via Ebay without any issues ..so if you'd rather go that route and just pay via paypal it worked fine...this is for others getting the firmware)

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I did try it.  My rig bounced between 250 - 300 all night.  Lots of BFGminer restarts.

Hello,

Where did KNCMiner's Jupiter Support Page and Forums go?? I been out of the mining loop for the past six months, and now I can't find Jupiter stuff anywhere on KNCMiner's website.  Huh  Long story short, my computer crashed recently, and the ONLY things I didn't have backed up anywhere else was all my KNCMiner firmwares/config files/etc.! But now I need all that stuff again to set up a new miner, and it is like KNCMiner erased Jupiter's existence from the Internet. Well I did find one thing...

https://github.com/KnCMiner/images

which just has the stock firmwares...but I am looking for two things specifically...

-latest BertMod firmware...I remembered looking for it last year, and that was a PAIN, but I found it. However, I don't have it anymore and I would like to know where I can find it again.
-Next, the simple, but useful 'enablecores.bin' file. I can not find this file anywhere, Google is definitely failing me on this one! I am guessing someone is going to have to send it to me or host it somewhere...

thanks in advance!

wanted to download neptune soft for reinstall but looks like the site http://www.kncminer.com/ is down as well as the support files

I have a lot of the Mercury/Saturn/Jupiter and Neptune firmware/tools saved, so I finally threw together a simple page with all of the files for anyone who wants them. Check my signature for the link. I'm missing a few of the November Jupiter files, since I didn't need them. If anyone has them, feel free to shoot them over to me and I'll add them, with name credit/donation link if you want it. Smiley

I would need to see output of ur /var/log/monitordcdc.log file to figure out whats going on w/ ur unit. Youll probably have to bypass some dies for checking entirely.

Thanks for the hint man!
This topic is quite long one and difficult to find needed info)
from github.com downloaded the neptune-rc8.bin and neptune-rc9.bin files and wanted to ask what they are good for or how they are different from the neptune-rc6.bin?
BCS I am facing now difficulties with my neptune sets and cant find a solution atm.
The problem is with controlling boards not identifying the cubes:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1170759
Also would appreciate any help if someone know the solution or had same difficulties.

GenTarkin/Vegaguy,

Awesome works you guys are doing here!  The overall Error Rate % is nice to see, but is it possible to break it down to Hardware % error rate per die like what it was done by the KnCMinion?  I found this information very helpful to find the lowest voltage setting for each die while keeping the HW % below 1%.  On some problematic die, I actually have to up the voltage and lower the clock frequency to keep HW Error % to an acceptable level.

They will be out of business VERY soon.
