What news we have about the 20nm miners?
Nothing and I doubt we'll have anything substantial for at least a couple of months.

While I think it would be nice for the KNC gear to be priced more competitively, there is still the chance they will do this when they open up Jupiter orders next week.
They only said that they might be offering more Jupiters for sale. I don't understand why so many people seem to think that they will for sure.

Does anyone know how much the power consumption of the Neptune will be? An educated guess? I already have an order on the Bitmine 2TH rig which consumes 3 KW so I can't have anything more than 2 KW in my apartment Also, how high is the risk of fire on these rigs? I am concerned since we don't have smoke detectors in our old Denmark apartments, and having two units would double the risk. From what I have read on these forums KnC units have been going up in smoke now and then. Does such an event lead to a fire hazard inside an apartment? I am totally new to this mining merry-go-round so advise from experienced hands will be very useful

November Jupiters have been hashing at ~700GH/s
consistently? links please. My Jupiter was consistently doing 679 GH/s and I've seen similar rigs being sold on eBay, so the "circa 700" seems credible. I did also see a lot of 650 and 660 GH/s so of course not all of them got close to 700.

From what I have read on these forums KnC units have been going up in smoke now and then. Does such an event lead to a fire hazard inside an apartment? I am totally new to this mining merry-go-round so advise from experienced hands will be very useful KNC quote minimum 3000GH/s and 30% less power use. My 670 GH/s Nov Jup pulls a peak 860 Watts from the wall using a platinum-rated PSU, so :- (860/670)*0.7*3000=2.695KW (minimum) If it ends up hashing a lot more it will draw a lot more power. I have not ordered a Neptune myself because I feel they need to reduce the power consumption more. I will wait for the next generation (16nm?) in the hope it will be better. All electrical equipment left running un-attended 24/7 has a (small) chance of fire risk so fit smoke detectors and fire-suppression systems where appropriate, just to be sure. At the end of the day it is up to you as a householder to determine your own personal safety threshold. Personally I have been running computers all over my house 24/7 for the past 20 years and have never had a fire, but maybe I have just been lucky. I do have 3 smoke detectors fitted and test them regularly. One is in the room with the KNC box.

I was mining in a pool with 680 GH/s and getting more or less what the roi calculators estimate. That is ~ BTC0.45 in the previous difficulty period (908,350,862). I was thinking about solo mining, but I got the impression that it doesn't make sense if you are not able to hit a block within a difficulty period. Maybe someone can correct me, or not, since this is off topic.

Hi Orama, can you give me and all others here an clear answer what happens with second batch? Is it an marketing trick or what? Will KNC deliver the 13K Neptune on same time like the 10K ones? Why made KNC such marketing tricks? I orderd form second batch 11 Neptune for 13K each, can I switch my orders to 14 Neptune for 10k? Other´s want also an absolute clear answer! Every time when we talk here about the diff you came and discuss with us also on questions about jupiter firmware, do you have an filter for qustions like these here. Also I send the money for the first batch in the wright time, but my money comes back with no chance to get one of these. I was sending KNC my official accountstatements, but I got only the standard answers. I´m absolutely confused, about the new KNC marketing tricks. merry christmas to all out there
