Can you please explain, who will pay for bitcoin 5k or 50k ? What about bitcoin demand decrease ? Meanwhile the price always jump by the miner sale (Avalon, KNC), and by this prices and dates ................ Have you forgotten you don't need to buy a whole bitcoin? Can you please explain, who will pay for a single Berkshire Hathaway Inc. share $165,138? http://ca.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=brk%2daAnd the other side of the coin, new minimal treadmill ($320), and a Samsung 40 dot LED TV w/bells and whistles, for (<$500) for a little more than a single bitcoin.

It's smart to refund your Neptune order because:
It might bankrupt KnC before this becomes a reality?

Moot now, but wow. Three of my posts wondering if the MtGox situation had any bearing on KnC offering new miners got deleted! I think some guys here complain and ask for my posts to be deleted simply because they're my posts.
Yeah there is a Nazi mod on the prowl. Mine got deleted too. Really strange since I was talking about supply in a positive way that is good for anyone to see. Albeit off-topic...but who cares. This thread has far worse off-topic bickering. Back on topic. Go KNC! I do agree that the hashrate increase is weird given what we know.

Well, not sure I cloaked my question well or what, but obviously what I'm saying is that I am not sure how this new information shapes the landscape. I am hoping that you all keep chatting it up so I can make more sense of it.
I want my Neptune, I don't want it hosted because I'm a god damn geek and I want to geek out with my hardware. I can't very well do that if they host it.
Thank you! Exactly! I bought a neptune which was sold as a physical device, never a hosting plan. "we all know" mining btc never achieves ROI in BTC, we buy the hardware for fun. A hosted hashrate that i can't control and i will never actually own is not what was sold and it is not what anyone bought. KnC have tried to give a resolution for if delays occur to protect people and everyone has flipped out and interpreted which ever left right up down way they have chosen. So much FUD spread in a few hours. What are your plans for your Neptune order?

Will this kind of De-Decentralization kill bitcoin as predicted? No small miners -> no big network

Please correct this assumption, but it looks to me like KNC is trying to induce more of us to cancel orders. Is it possible they'd rather just keep the machines, and are doing everything they can to make us cancel?
Now that we've bankrolled, we can be cut loose and stop dragging them down...

Wouldn't that be something. After all bitcoin has gone through an organized effort through various governmental channels stomps out KnC and CEX.io causing block generation to grind to a halt rendering the bitcoin network useless.

I have a radical proposal to KnC that will decrease chances of order cancellation: 1. Issue a "Neptune rights offer". Each right (only for those with current and valid Neptune orders) will represent an ability to receive propotional bitcoin dividend stream (I suggest at least 70-80% of all bitcoins mined that come after expenses with 20-30% left that include management bonus, etc.). 2. A person with a valid Neptune order will be entitled to one right in lieu of already purchased Neptune and additional rights (for extra cash) if facility will be expanded in the future. A Neptune purchaser can refuse additional rights or keep them and maintain similar proportion of the expanding mining facility. This rights offer will be a perfect solution to finance future expansion. If so, it will be also a perfect vehicle for steady increase of $ (or €) to BTC conversion, which many might seek as I do. That said, I am keeping my Neptune orders, even with understanding that my inner geek was hoping to play with the actual machine

All of this after we gave them piles of money to fund their business a year ago, and again on their 2nd product offering, this is how they repay us.
it seems the shovel makers realized that shoveling makes money too that should be new motto on their neptune boards.. "Shoveling makes our dreams get found" I'd vote for: "All the blocks only one world apart" Regarding their NPS, I guess I understand now why they didn't sell anything. It was them who increased the diff, so they would have "protected" us from them and not from their competitors as stated in the NPS. Maybe it was meant from the beginning to be this way?: if there's competition shipping en mass KnC would need additional money to build additional hw for themselves and it would be paid with the margin from sales

What are your plans for your Neptune order? As i said i bought the device for fun, I will happily accept any kind of protection hashrate KnC offer for delays in the project, but i would expect to be able to CONTROL this hashrate like i can control the miners i have hosted with KnC now. If and once the Neptune is built i would expect to be able to go and do whatever i may choose, be this mine with, wank over it or throw it in a canal. As a device i would physically own, not a piece of hosted virtualware and i don't think KnC have any real intention of not giving me my hardware. Am i saying i will ever ROI the BTC i paid...... I don't care. I am going to have fun with my miner

I still call BS. They said if competition ships noticeable amounts during Dec-Feb, they would compensate Batch 1/2 folks by offering more up for grabs. They didn't define 'competition' or 'noticeable' amounts explicitly, but most consumer protection situations would work under the guise of the context of what was established at the time of writing as potential competition / hashrate. Competition and hashrate has been shipping, available for next-day shipment (not preorder), since December, and continues to ship. I bet it will inrease now that folks realize KNC is BFL'ing their customers somewhat. Hell, it could be said that they caused difficulties for their customers by abusing hashpower. They've clearly mined with more than 5% of their shipped hashpower. As such, they outright failed to uphold their end of the bargain. This isn't the first time either. They failed to produce upgrade modules as well, which they were supposed to do. Fail. Fail. Fail. I'm surprised someone hasn't been P/O'd enough to look into some sort of suit. In fact, looking at the path they've forged, I'd almost speculate it was planned from the beginning. No wonder they and BFL_Josh seem to get along so well at the conventions.

Don't expect that, frankly he is a great guy but the people he works for are NOT sharing EVERYTHING with him so we should collectively give him a break and not kill the messenger (or lack thereof)

So if that was KNC they have mined about 3800 BTC right now and just switched off.
They guy with the dividend idea would be right. If neptune was fundraiser for the mining pool, then there should be part of the pool, as if theres future adding of hashrate (as there will be, with newest asic revision) these should be accounted for also. But the money talks and....... walks

wow..nice one They've been mining there for a long while. It has been pointed out a number of times that it is very likely to be KNC. It certainly isnt hashfast (the pool admin confirmed as much).

And if nothing KNC's Director of Communications says can be considered official, and he is the only "official" spokesperson for knc on this forum, where does that leave people? (I believe a creek and paddle are involved.)
