agree about KnC and their hopeful delusionals. it could be a 20Gh/s unicorn miner but the fact that KnC are shitmongrel cunts means that your continued support of them fucks us all - datorhall 2 wont be far away if indeed it isnt already filled with 20nm magic

disagree about referral links - its against forum rules and like spam in general, cheap & grotty

PG said they have 3. The picture was 1 of 3 datorhall that they have. Agree with referrals as well. No place for them here.

I can't help but feel that the same people who are opposed to referral links are the same guys who say; "such and such band 'sold out'" only because they had a Top 40 hit, lol. Meaning, they are resentful of someone who is successful simply for offering something the someone wants.

I just don't see the harm in it as long as it's appropriate to the topic. In fact, I find it helpful. Recently, I made a significant investment based on information I read on this forum. I purposely sought out the person who was most helpful to me and used his referral link to make my purchase. It didn't cost me a penny more and he was rewarded for being helpful. The only people who "suffered" were the company who's goods/service I purchased because they received 10% less in profit.

Another more recent example, I would have bought from Spondoolies if I had been in the market for more ASICs but for various reasons, I'm not buying more. But if I were, I'd be sure to click Roadstress' referral links because he has made a persuasive sales pitch in their favor. In this scenario, Spondoolies makes a sale they may not have without the extra push from Roadstress. Therefore Roadstress is rewarded for his effort.

I just don't trust anyone shilling for products or services anymore in these forums. I made that mistake once and I won't repeat. The rest of you can take your chances and I wish you the best.

And on another topic... why such angst about referral links?! No one gets screwed or scammed by clicking a referral link. The affiliate only gets credit if the person who clicks the link actually buys something. And they are charged the same price as everyone (if not less, because of a special promotion). No one is harmed and a member of our hard working community gets rewarded for their efforts.

Sure, spammy posts are annoying. I know firsthand because I got scolded pretty bad by several members of the community for my overzealous efforts in the recent past. But if a post is on-topic and helpful, there is no reason not to include a discrete referral link.

+1 nothing wrong with referal links in ones sig etc.

Debatable. Without affiliate marketing we wouldn't allow obvious ponzis like pbmining to thrive.

Caveat emptor, buyers who are spending this much money on stuff should really do their research. I looked at pbmining at one time when their rates dropped below hardware costs, but after about 10 minutes reading could see it wasn't a good idea. Same with all these new mining companies popping up.

For me there is only a fairly short list of suppliers & manufacturers I trust now:
Spondoolies, pcfli, Bitmain, peppermining, Technobit, gridseed.

I got today my replacement controller back from KNC for my Super Jupiters.
There is the fimware: "KnC Jupiter Hosting 1.00-rc14" on it.

Does any one knows whats the difference? Also I was there this bitcoin adress: 1A73ExsM2doRwTLp82rv5U36QHbBFmHD1X
Blockchain means that there are double spends on it. Is it realy possible.

The two super jup´s perfoming on 5900 to 6200. It´s ok for me. Oh and need 9500 Watts. I´m glad, that I got an 25Kwp PV system. Smiley

each time you send a transaction don't forget to use a new address, each time you receive one also!

It's a waste of money to pay to host equipment unless you absolutely don't have the power at home available. Live with the heat and noise.

Size is for convenience.  Both units throw out a lot of heat and noise the sp more so because the fans are smaller.

Wouldn't worry about durability so much as both units will be outdated by october.

Not always the case, and it has nothing to do with power supply, it depends on where you are in the world.

Here in the UK $0.20 electric + 20% import duty + fees, mean hosting miners yourself is more expensive than shipping to the USA and getting a company there to do it.

EG An SP10 @ 1200w is about $6 a day in power here, which is exactly what a couple of US hosters charge, you save the import fees and don't have to deal with the noise and heat.

We have a thread dedicated to Bitcoin miners colocation in the Mining forums. I did post a link a few post earlier. You only have to pay for power, not for rack space.

I'm thinking it's not Neptunes just yet, although I could be wrong. Seems a bit too early though.

Lol, every preorder thread has this same conspiracy theory. "The hashrate is up so that must mean XYZ company is hashing with my miner rather than shipping it to me!"

News flash! There are many other companies, both public and private, building and shipping miners in massive volume. It sucks because this difficulty adjustment looked to be rather mild until the past couple of days. But thems the breaks!

We all expected to have a stabilized decreasing difficulty rate but seems that wont happen for next months.

What the heck is happening, is it maybe the adjusted Btc price?
