It occurs to me that I almost maybe have a slight contribution to the discussion. Not a phone, but this guy builds security-hardened Linux laptops from the BIOS level up. Don't trust me or him, of course, but you can easily investigate him. He has an educational charity. https://www.facebook.com/lysander.spooner.7/posts/1366736536769431Beats the hell out of some stock windows boxen for crypto. that might be true, but it's still no good for serious bitcoin. there are dozens of such security theatre laptops (edit: and mobiles lol), all worthless. start here http://trilema.com/2013/how-to-airgap-a-practical-guide/for random number seeds you need decent dice or a toy: https://archive.is/CGQkR

I have heard that Bitconnect has sold more than 50,000 Bitcoins into fiat one of the major causes of the crash of the market. Considering it's a hiyp/ponzi site they have no problem with selling their big batch of sell order into the market.

Where can I get those, are those old phones? How about more recent Nexus (Google) phones? or the Pixel 1 or Pixel 2? I might get a Samsung Galaxy, old model, if I find one. They seem to be decent enough.

It does stand to reason that the Bitconnect scammers would be eager to begin the obfuscation of their haul, they probably began selling well before announcing their exit.

Yeah, the price of the S8 will drop when the S9 comes out, then I can tell every miner out there that I have an S9 in my pocket. ha! Then the S7 will drop in price some more.

BCC is a shit show there is no doubt..but I have seen very few facts. It does stand to reason that the Bitconnect scammers would be eager to begin the obfuscation of their haul, they probably began selling well before announcing their exit.
Indeed. What I fail to grasp is why they didnt fractional token it ala mtGox..unless its been going on for far longer than we realize.

It's an old Google phone, available on Ebay/Amazon/etc. The Pixels are great phones, I just don't think you can build your own firmware straight from AOSP.

They wouldnt label themselves scammers of course but the general population would also view BCC similar to crypto in general , its all a bit muddy in many peoples perceptions imo. BTC has to distinguish itself over time some more. There were weak hands in a market always and also more long term interests who genuinely want to see gains from utility and actual usage. The market price is a mix of both and lately I think we've seen too many speculators and 'fast money' types who want to flip and move on. Every single market sees these people pass through, it is upto BTC or crypto in general to handle the negatives and gain anyway. A flush out always occurs in market dynamics, its a hurdle we must pass I plotted in a downtrend channel for the BTC. We've had them before now, this is beginning ATH, but now 12,000 as a trend top. 13,000 is old up trend boundary and 10,000 as the rough channel bottom

Found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7h6oWYYiusApparently its a show on CNBC I find it crazy how they write "Don't panic when the coin drops 50%" Is it just me or does it sound crazy not to panic when you lost 50% of unrealized gains.

Why not just get a Trezor for about twice the cost?
Can you download Coinomi, Bither and Bitpie and then claim your forks on a Trezor? SatoshiLabs has to first add Trezor support for the new forked coins, as they have with past forks such as BCash and BitcoinGold. But once they have done that, you should be able to claim and send your forked coins anywhere you wish. They have rules around what Bitcoin forks they will support though: https://trezor.io/troubleshooter/#103Thanks, but I have kind of an issue with companies telling me what forks I can and can not have. With a phone I choose what to claim and not. You still control your private keys. Anything they do is a gift. You can move your coins to another HD Wallet and then sweep the Bitcorn Blast off the old addresses just like you could with any other wallet. Or import the old keys into your phone etc.

Even so, it makes more sense doing gradual sells than crashing the market. But if you played the futures first, then it makes more sense to use 50k btc to crash the market in a spike-like manner during the futures-closing date and profit from the future market.
