Still new and learning here but I’m curious...

What would be in a block that takes a pool with 1.631 Eh/s, 6 or even 9 hours to complete? Some blocks go really quick while others seem to take forever... so is it the amount of work to be done? That the pool hasn’t found a new block to work on? A combination?

Slush had terrible luck today. 2 blocks in about 16 hours.

Finding blocks is not a regular occurrence. Its a highly random process.

Yep.  If we were in Vegas we'd all be broke wiht the "luck" int the last 24 hours.    However two days ago (or so) I think the pool found like 10 blocks in a 6 hour period so it balances out....

We had like the luckiest few hours right before that! Block after block, 10 minutes, 2 minutes, 19 minutes, and again and again... Can't complain. That CDF thing is just doing its thing, sharing the wealth equally all around

Anyone able to get nicehash SHA256 rentals to work at slush pool? Or any other pool?

I'm being met by "diff too low" when using the pool verification tool, but it doesnt help to set the "d=xx" parameter in the password feil either.

What am I missing?

Same for today.  
I know Slushpool pay a little bit higher, but if it can't find any block, this really does not matter.  Antpool PPS+'s pay is much better now and I can average .0025 per S9 similar to Slushpool's Score systems, but they have much higher (2x) block count  for 12/25 and 12/27

I just came back to slushpool from viaBTC have to say viaBTC is no good they find more pools but prize distribution is really bad
slushpool has a better and more transparent distribution

Hello, there are lots of options better than Antpool. They keep all transaction fees for themselves, and transaction fees are a big deal, and they will only become a bigger deal.  Plus that's Bitmain, and supporting Bitmain is generally a bad idea.

If you can tolerate some variance, you will come out much further ahead on Kano's pool.  Plus you actually get support there.

(and the more people who mine at Kano's pool, the less variance there will be)

Antpool is using new PPS+ . that also give back the transaction fees to workers too.   I split my workers to Antpool and Slushpool, and they are avg 0.20 to 0.26 per S9.  I am in Slushpool for a week+ now, and kind of disappointed on the inconsistency of block finding.

No one can guarantee how often a block will be found, or when. 

If you absolutely must have consistent payouts every day, then yes, PPS is for you.  Keep in mind that you'll end up not making as much in the long run.

Yes transactions are a big deal last week pools of 20-25BTC were getting mined and if charges are not passed to miners then its just waste of time as eventually that is what mining will be all about

Antpool's PPS+  (Plus) model actually has the transaction fees built into it. I think most of the people think they only has PPS (which they keep the transaction fee).   I am getting almost the same result from Antpool and Slushpool for S9 (0.0025 per machine).

Hello all.

I have around 8 mBTC mined from some years ago (AMD HD5870) in slushpool, and I would like to send them to my BTC wallet (bitcoin core 0.15.1) and I do not know how to proceed.

I guess I wil have to play around with the payment threshold.

I know that for transactions under 10 mBTC there is an additional fee of 0.1 mBTC, apart from the 2% but I do not care as I do not own any ASIC to continue mining up to 10 mBTC, I just want to send the BTC to my wallet.

If I set the threshold, say, to exactly the amount of mBTC I have (7.94723 mBTC), will I get paid, deductions apart, in the following days? Or should I have to ask for a manual payment or similar?

Here's where I'm sitting and why I backed off from Slush for now... I am currently profit switching with AwesomeMiner between zpool/NiceHash but I may end up coming back soon. I was getting better numbers when I first started but the pool hash rate jumped considerably shrinking my share per block. I was, at one point estimated to get my 0.01 payout every 3 days and 4 hours but when I left it had extended to 4 days. My payout per block started around 0.00018 to 0.00023+ but when I left I was getting 0.00012 to 0.00014.

12/18 - 12/26 (I took into account only the blocks where I was over 13 Th/s). There were moments when I left and came back or was ramping up/down but I counted only blocks where I was hashing at full strength.

132 - Blocks I worked on (100%). 2 of these blocks were invalid.
1.521 - Eh/s Average pool hash rate for those 132 blocks
13.45 - Th/s Average for my single S9 for those 132 blocks

0.02119930 - Total Payout
0.00016060 - Per block
690,502 - Total seconds (7 days 23:48:22)

Taking the amount of seconds totaled and the amount earned I have these numbers...

0.03 - per minute
1.55 - per hour
37.14 - per day
259.95 - per week
1,126.47 - per month
13,517.60 - per year

I am well aware that a year from now I will not likely be getting the same numbers as more miners are added and my hashing power counts for less as well as difficulty. I took the time to put it all into a spreadsheet so I thought I would share. I'm still new at this so I watch everything like a hawk which is frustrating AND fun at the same time. I'm sure after I've been at it for a while I will be less shifty based on some bad days here and there or some really good days on a pool I'm not mining without feeling like I need to jump so frequently.
