i could answer this question if i knew more information i am often slow to endorse new services / things..... sometimes they don't end up they way they were planned or promised for one reason or another also anyone who accepts paid votes or allows more than one vote per person , ect... makes the 'election' a sham still I know nothing about this service , when I see paid votes i stop.

I can't sleep and this whole thing just hit me like a brick!!!!
I think I cracked the meaning of ix.
Lol, this just keeps getting better. So I searched the meaning of IX and how it relates in Russian, Chinese [and Japanese] history and culture.
In Japanese ix [or 9] sounds like "Pain" so the Japanese would never use ix.
Huh? How do you work that out? I speak Japanese and cannot guess what you're referring to.

Lol, this just keeps getting better.
My track record is [much] better than yours. I'm still waiting for iXcoin merge-mining to be dropped and for iX to die. Is that still coming? Soon(ish)? haha! If my theory is so laughable then please provide a better theory that makes sense. Finally, Zebedee, how much iX are you and your friends needing to buy up? I thought your charade would be done by now. Cheers!

The EU, cap fees ....... lol , when the citizens of the nations holding most of the debt have to pay the tax for the first nations to default .... or when the citizens of the first nations the angle toward default get an ass kicking people will realize the Euro was just another strategy of the same people who have manipulated the financial system for centuries to kick the can down the road another thirty years. As for the artwork in the block chain iX can do that now. One thing though, namecoin has I believe 520 and we are at 80 for size so you need to organize things a little bit differently. You can permanently inject anything into the iX blockchain right now like people do into the bitcoin blockchain as described in this excellent article http://www.righto.com/2014/02/ascii-bernanke-wikileaks-photographs.htmlActually this can be done with almost any cryptocurrency now although is much easier and practical with a blockchain that has one algorithm. I have experimented quite a bit with these things and methods on some sha3 coins. This research is not work I want to make public at this time but it is not very hard to 'put' something in a blockchain. Having the tools to 'read' or 'see' it and find it in the blockchain is also desired. Just remember the base 58 addresses for iX are slightly different than bitcoin (for obvious reasons) so you cannot just go to bitcoin's brain wallet to generate addresses to send little bits of iX to to plant your data in the iX blockchain. Block chain bloat is a concern also although from monitoring iX network recently I don't see many large blocks. Finally , Ahmed I apologize I have not had time to review the code this week, had some crazy stuff going on.... I will hopefully look it over this weekend and if I have any ideas will post to our thread on github.

Is there any reason ix cannot raise it from 80 to 520 bytes? I thought we could do that due to having empty blocks now.
Any advantage over bitcoin would be great. I would even go higher to 1040 if it were possible.
To prevent bloat I thought it was already decided to add a mandatory fee of .001, just like Bitcoin. That's a minuscule fee but it should prevent spam.
And what happened to GroundRod? He was doing such good work and now nothing.

PS @ GroundRod: this long silence, the stop of that translation project you put me into, no update for weeks, it makes me wonder about you. I believed you were a different person we were dealing with. It's like inviting a girl to a fancy dinner and never show up. I am still waiting at the table. Should I ask the check and leave? Lol
Now you guys understand why I was so reluctant to put these [otherwise] fine programmers as official iXCoin core devs on the main [dot org] website. Their loyalty and focus does not seem to be on iXCoin. I appreciate their hard work but we do need to find some programmers whose main focus will be iXCoin. That said, i do thank GroundRod and Ahmed for the hard work they have put into the iXCoin protocol.

@Deadsea and @Vlad2vlad
What your proposing is very, very difficult. Only part time devs will be able to work on IXC. Mainly due to the fact that ixcoin is centralised to just a few pools of which almost none are able to help us test new coin code. This means that working on IXC is hard. Me, Cinnamon and GR worked on IXC when we could and tried to debug the mining issue in 9.3 and couldnt do so. Since then i've been mining myself attempting to solve a block with little success.

Thanks Ahmed. Last time I talked to CEX they said they would be happy to test [and implement] the new code update but that appears to have been yet another broken promise. I would say we are gonna be all alone until we find a new serious partner. One that keeps their promises instead of constantly breaking them. Thanks again for you efforts.

Is IXC still gonna lose its mass merge-mining and will soon die?
http://darkgamex.ch:2751/chain/IXCoin shows difficulty is falling whilst bitcoin's is rising. If Ixcoin hash rate continues to fall gradually it'll be a long time before you have a problem. But I understand that because you're relying on one or two big pools that you can't upgrade your software because no-one wants to run the risk, and it's not like they're getting paid much for iXcoin, so who knows... it might just get dropped one day. The difficulty is in constant, slow decline. Just a matter of time before the blockchain will end up to be unsecure. Unless... Unless something is done. Nobody is showing any serious commitment toward ixc. This is not criticism. They are logic predictions based on tangible facts. You know, your comments sometimes are appauling. the fact that some people contribute at all you people should be thankful for. Most coins dont even get that. We try our best but CANNOT move further without a mining pool to help us. Dont forget the fact that we also are very, very busy people and so dont have all the time in the world. We have our education, jobs and real life to deal with. Ahmed

Ahmed,
I noticed your comments on Github; you wanna rewrite the entire iX code from the ground up, basically copying over from Namecoin?
Is this correct?
If so why the sudden need for such a huge and sudden pivot in the ix code? Right when we finished that major new update. What's the scope and purpose? Why Namecoin [given ixc is a Bitcoin Twin]? And this is a major job, would you mind telling us who paid you To do it?
Like always, thanks for all your work.
Cheers!

Its mainly since im running a pool now so its in my best interest for profitability reasons to have a faster and better codebase. the 0.8.6 and earlier codebases suck tbqh. 0.9.3 isnt working for mining yet and everything ive tried so far hasnt fixed it. The main reason why the port fron namecoin is due to namecoin being on 0.10

Thanks Ahmed. About the fee structure for iX, how will that change? Also, when do you think this will be done? I'm curious cause it would be nice to see CEX update to a new code and of course, to see you get your bounty [from Thomas] for all your coding work Thanks again!

The noise about holders not offering bounties etc is mostly just noise, partly because there is a huge kitty already set aside for that from the start and partly because the coins are so ridiculously cheap that (a) it would take a ridiculous number of them to make a dollar-amount bounty interesting to not-actually-inherently-interested coders etc and (b) anyone actually interested can buy up vast quantities dirt cheap.
Basically anyone who wants to can buy a massive number then improve the coin or its ecosystem to increase the value of their holdings.
Meanwhile others have a hard enough time just eating all the dumped coins cheap to try to keep the price going too far down, giving them away to not actually interested coders etc would most likely just end up seeing the coins re-dumped by those uninterested coders etc thus undermining the buyers' attempts at keeping the buy-side orderbook upheld.

My input is to leave OP_RETURN at 80 bytes until we need it higher. Once the block chain gets bloated it will be hard to reverse the affects.
