I bought mine with BTC when BTC was at about $395.  It would suck not to get half that back, because of current rates.

Most of us Day1 purchasers paid 60BTC... consider yourself lucky.

Yea, I only paid 5.70849246 BTC

So, what is your intention by teasing us, who have placed 50 - 60 BTC in HF's hands?

Just sayn'  I hope we all get what we were promised, and refunded the difference in BTC.  It sucks you guys paid that much.  I feel for ya, I really do.  All we can do at this point is wait and see what they do.  It would be bad for them if they didn't keep to their original ToS, from a business perspective.  There is a large BTC following now on the internetz, and word spreads quickly.

You have a typo, you said "SEC" but the rules you are citing are from the FTC.

Our Baby Jet in Action!! Watch our two internal test Baby Jet systems perform mining for the Eligius bitcoin mining pool.

Eligius Link: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats...

(If you are following our Eligius account, you will notice an average that is more than 1,000 GH/s. Please know that this is the aggregate of two internal test Baby Jets. The good news is we seem to get a solid 500 GH/s of mining performance.)

Maybe they are ecstatic because now they only have to ship 2 or 3 dies per Golden Nonce chip instead of the original allocated 4. That means they will have extra dies that they can send to customers later to cover MPP. Let's hope that is not what HF is playing at but I would not put it beyond them at this point.

The dies have all been packaged. At this point that wouldn't be possible.

The recent video shows tons of errors.  I was actually surprised they posted it that way.  I get the feeling that whomever is posting to Twitter and making the video's is new to Bitcoin and not in direct communication with the testing team.

Well, it's not a _ton_ but, I think it goes along with the WU/m being more consistent with 700GH/s than 400GH/s. It's probably doing dynamic clock control and it jumped up to 700GH/s at start but had a wad of errors and clocked itself back. At least thats my best guess.

HW Errors don't look too bad to me.
264 HW errors for 427,000 accepted shares

I think that rate is considered normal/acceptable.

I agree the communication so far appears to be from someone who is non-technical, so the information is a mess.
It is good to see that they came clean on the eligius results being at least 2 hashing modules.

How do we go about overclocking these? Poking around the cgminer driver seems like its clocked to 550mhz on initialization.

Looking at the cgminer source(not noted yet in ASIC-README):

        OPT_WITHOUT_ARG("--hfa-dfu-boot",
                        opt_set_bool, &opt_hfa_dfu_boot,
                        opt_hidden),
        OPT_WITH_ARG("--hfa-hash-clock",
                 opt_set_intval, NULL, &opt_hfa_hash_clock,
                 opt_hidden),
        OPT_WITH_ARG("--hfa-ntime-roll",
                 opt_set_intval, NULL, &opt_hfa_ntime_roll,
                 opt_hidden),
        OPT_WITHOUT_ARG("--hfa-pll-bypass",
                        opt_set_bool, &opt_hfa_pll_bypass,
                        opt_hidden),

So seems like the --hfa-hash-clock argument will allow us to OC? If you are out there Con, can you let us know?

Unfortunately he doesn't state that it will be the same amount as you paid though.

That goes without saying: he's actually confirming that ORDERS are taken on BTC (unless you did some kind of USD wire transfer or such) and since those orders were PAID on BTC and he isn't referring to any USD exchange crap and the REFUND applies to 100% of that PAYMENT just as the TOS state, then the refund applies to 100% of the BTC order. Anything else is FRAUD and DECEIT. End of debate.

Do man up, Simon/HF and do as you promised!!   Angry

Same here. I can provide proof. I have saved every e-mail communication from them.

at Buyer's request and Hashfast will refund the payment [...]

Payment: 100% via BTC

I love this.

I have the same line, too.

Also, unit price is explicitely specified in BTC, like this:

UNIT PRICE:

xx.xxxxxxx BTC [$x,xxx USD)

Shipping is specified in USD.

Total is xx.xxxxx BTC [$X,XXX USD]

Payment: 100% via BTC

(TOS in received confirmation, from late August.)

Quote
2.(A):

All of the 550 Baby Jet units from Hashfast's first production batch are guaranteed for delivery by December 31, 2013. If Buyer ordered one or more units of such Baby Jets, and Hashfast does not deliver such units by that date, then Buyer may cancel the undelivered portion of the order at Buyer's request and Hashfast will refund the payment for the units that Buyer purchased but did not receive and cancelled.

No word here about any kind of conversion or rates or exchanges or anything like that. They will refund the payment, and that's all.

And payment was xx.xxxx BTC, so...
