Hi i am new to antminer S1 and i cannot connect my browser to 192.168.1.99 which is my antminer ip

i try to change the TCP/IPV4 to

ip address : 192.168.1.188  <--- change this to 192.168.2.188
subnet : 255.255.255.0
default gateway : 192.168.1.1  <--- change this to 192.168.2.1

prefered DNS : 8.8.8.8
alternative dns : blank

and also try the default antminer tutorial

IP Address: 192.168.2.254
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1

Both also no luck can anyone please help me thank you

Then open your favorite browser and browse to: 192.168.2.254

Considering of course that your ant came with a sticker saying that the address is 192.168.2.254

If not post your Ant's sticker (IP) details here.

Did you connect the Antminer to your laptop/PC directly?  If so, you had to disconnect your PC/laptop from your network router/switch, unless you have a 2nd card?  If this is the former is the case, you need the laptop to be 192.168.1.100 so you can connect to the web page of the Antminer   http://192.168.1.99  then you can follow the guide to change it to 192.168.0.188 and other settings so it can be connected to your router/switch.

If you connected it directly to your network router/switch, same thing, just change your laptop/PC temporarily to 192.168.1.100 so you can reach the 192.168.1.99 and the rest above...

That's good.  You will lose connection to the internet on the PC that you change the IP settings on (this is temporary), but it will bring you to the same subnet(work) as the Antminer, and you'll be able to change the Antminer S1 to your home subnet(work).

When your PC/laptop is 192.168.1.100 connect to the Antminer and change it to:

192.168.0.188    IP address
255.255.255.0    subnet mask
192.168.0.1        IP default gateway (assuming this is your network router address)
192.168.0.255    broadcast address
8.8.8.8               DNS custom address

Make sure you save and apply and wait until it is applied successfully.  you should lose connection from the PC until you change your PC back to your regular settings (either DHCP or 192.168.0.x)

You can now connect to the Antminer S1 on  192.168.0.188   and put your miner pool settings.

Good luck.

Change you IPV4 back to 192.168.0.188, log in to your router and change that to assign the range 192.168.1.xx, then your miner and internet will be on the same subnet. Otherwise you'll need to connect to the ant with a ethernet cable and change the Ant IPV4 to to 192.168.0.99

OK, on your PC or Laptop set the IPv4 settings to:
IP: 192.168.1.254
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

DIRECTLY connect your Ant to your PC or Laptop using a LAN cable.

Once you do that pwoer up your Ant, give it a minute or so.

Then from your PC or Laprtop browse to: 192.168.1.99

Then you shall see the Ant's interface.

Guys, there is no need to connect directly to the Antminer from a PC/Laptop.  It's already connected to the network.

Both of my Antminer S1's never touched any PC directly, physically.  At least not on my network.  You just need to be on the same broadcast domain as 192.168.1.0/24.

clear the IPV4 BROADCAST address - this is unnecessary in 95% of home networks

That's why my instructions step by step to change it to his/her home network   192.168.0.x   with default gateway set to  192.168.0.1

I had to do for mine the similar steps to change to my home network 192.168.55.x  from factory defaul network of 192.168.1.x.

thankyou so much.

if you ssh into your antminer s1, do cat /etc/init.d/cgminer
does it match what you provided?
An easier way to fix your problem might be just to upgrade the firmware. What version are you running ?

I think some other users solved a similar problem related to ntpd by upgrading the firmware.  Here's a step-by-step YouTube video on how to upgrade the Antminer S1 firmware...
