So one of my 6 miners is only running 16/32 asics on chain 1:
Chain# ASIC# Frequency Fan Temp ASIC status 1 16 400 2580 45 xoxoxoxo xoxoxoxo xxxxoooo oooooooo
Any clue why this may be doing this? Should I just factory reset the device?
Try powering down. Okay. Do I leave it powered down for any length of time? I did it for maybe 5 minutes

hi hav just plugged in my new antminer s1, i can ping it internally on my lan, and i can ping websites on the internet from the antminer interface diagnostics. but it will not start to mine. my pool is setup at btcguild, and ive tried other pools, all not working. I also just plugged in the 1 blade just to see if i can get it up and running. On the miner itself 1 green led is solid near the ethernet plug, 1 red led solid, and another green led blinking about once a second. can anyone please help me out pls? ive looked thru some troubleshooting but can't find anything to help thanks

Balance Pool Strategy
By default Antminer S1 use Priority as pool mining strategy. It will use Pool #1 as priority to mine and #2 and #3 as backup. If you want to change the pool strategy to Balance, just modify file /etc/config/cgminer and add following line:
option pool_balance '--balance'
Antminer S1 will do evenly balance the mining to available pools.
Hope it help. Happy mining!
Note: I had tested it with latest firmware.

I had to power it down and replace the PSU as it kept shutting off. I moved it to another PSU that is rock solid and this antminer is nothing but issues. I few observations. - As soon as I plugged the PCIE cable in, there is a spark you can see in the clear plastic plug. I dont remember any other ant doing this. It said all 32 asics on both chains were running, but I was only hashing at 130 gh/s. Then when I rebooted it it said it was doing 5 th/s (I wish). Then later is was doing 8 gh/s a second. What the heck is wrong with this thing?? I have unplugged it again. Going to give it a break for awhile.

It's been part of cgminer and in the cgminer README for years However, you would want to use --load-balance, rather than balance. The default mining strategy is 'Failover' as per the README: FAILOVER: The default strategy is failover. This means that if you input a number of pools, it will try to use them as a priority list, moving away from the 1st to the 2nd, 2nd to 3rd and so on. If any of the earlier pools recover, it will move back to the higher priority ones. For any version of the ant: Adding --load-balance with a space after the first password on the luci "Miner Configuration" web page will work also. e.g. if your "Pool1 password" was "pass" then set it to "pass --load-balance"

forward different ports of your routers external interface to your miners port 80 Really bad idea. Best is to setup an internal web server and use miner.php from cgminer Then setup a vpn to your internal network and access the web server from there. miner.php also allows you to completely design your own page layout (customsummarypage) so you can do mobile sized mining report pages, tablet sized pages and desktop sized pages

How do I stabilize this thing?

I've reset my miner several times by pressing the button. I can see the IP address has gone back to the 192.168.1.99 but I can't SSH into or get into the GUI. It will say connection timed out when I try to SSH. Any ideas?

still stuck here, anyone can help out? Is it setup for DHCP or a fixed address? If DHCP - check on your router what address was assigned to it, then use that address to log in. For troubleshooting you can connect it directly to a standalone pc or laptop (use a crossover lan cable, or connect through a hub/switch that is not connected to your router). There are instructions about finding the IP address of the miner on the OP (first page of this thread). Good luck!

I am checking into /etc/init.d/cgminer, it construct the command line using -o (for Pool URL). Thus in load balance mode, we need to use -U / --quote. From CGMiner README: --quota|-U <arg> quota;URL combination for server with load-balance strategy quotasLOAD BALANCE: This strategy sends work to all the pools on a quota basis. By default, all pools are allocated equal quotas unless specified with --quota. This apportioning of work is based on work handed out, not shares returned so is independent of difficulty targets or rejected shares. While a pool is disabled or dead, its quota is dropped until it is re-enabled. Quotas are forward looking, so if the quota is changed on the fly, it only affects future work. If all pools are set to zero quota or all pools with quota are dead, it will fall back to a failover mode. See quota below for more information.I did modify the /etc/init.d/cgminer to accommodate load balance with quota strategy. If anyone interest, PM me.

I'm one of the 2 cgminer developers ... I do know how it works Edit: you only need to use -U to change the default priority of equal for all pools

Someone please help me, can totally send a tip.
One of my antminers was working fine but started acting up. I hit the reset button several times and can't SSH into it, ping it or get into the GUI. The green and orange light come up when the internet is connected. I see it in the device list of my ATT modem as 192.168.1.99 but I can't access it. Also when I search for it with angry IP it will not show up as 192.168.1.99.
I'm at a loss as far as what to do, any help would be tipped for sure!
FIXED disregard
